Rezlasnians Declare President Jeffries is The one!
Centraile, Rezlas TODAYS DATE – Citizens of the Republic of Rezlas (RoR) declared their allegiance to their esteemed leader President Jeffries today as they ratified their unified support in the Presidency in overseeing all aspects of governing in the ROR. “I’m truly humbled by the deep faith in my fellow countrymen and woman in my abilities to administer the faith, defense, security and wellbeing of our proud nation. I look forward to bringing our nation to the apex of it’s unlimited potential.” Jeffries stated in a rare joint session of the ROR legislature in Centraile.
While complete powers of government have been ceded to the Presidency the bicameral legislature will still convene in an advisory capacity. President Jeffries will allow all legislators’ terms to expire before appointing their replacements. Constitutional “re-vamping” is slated to begin by the Presidents appointed panel later this month.
While there where some dissidents over this decision, General Budlight, Commander and Chief of the Rezlasnian Armed Forces, stated “We are delighted that the majority of our citizens wished were granted today, those few that wished to cause trouble during this glorious change have been deterred from further such incidents.”
