The six F-22s detected the retreat of the enemy aircraft, and decided not to follow. The AC-130 had fired off a few hundred shells at the ground forces, but detecting the massive enemy air armada incoming, command decided to pull the air units out. So, the 6 F-22s, 6 F-16s and single AC-130H returned to base just as the Martens aircraft entered the scene.

ooc: Using the info provided by Martens, the Cottish aircraft are retreating just as the Martens planes arrive. BTW, Martens: What's the range of your AA missiles carried by the ground troops?

"Raven one, Cottish forces are leaving, and we're about to be out numbered."
"Affirmative. Raven group, bank low and return to base. We can't outrun those jets, so let's try and out manuver anything they can throw at us by getting low to the ground."
The flight of FP-109's banked in their own directions, falling into formation shortly after much lower to the ground but now flying back into freindly territory. For the imediate durration over hostile land they punched to full throttle, even using their boost systems to get as fast as they could on their run out.

OOC: Before anyone jumps on my fighters with missiles, I'll remind that I posted the capabilities of the FP-109 earlier, and that a missile attack isn't very likely to suceed (low heat signature, low radar signature. It's a gas-driven propeller plane.)

OOC: Everyone seems to have completely ignored the amount of Hinds and Flankers I had sent into battle. They caught up with it quickly and of course if the enemy forced were to move as they are towards our ground forces, the Valkyrie class planes plus the Flankers would be able to chase them, as the hinds and the FWs can take care of the other planes (Which are much better but are greatly outnumbered then) As a matter of fact, my whole aerial attack was pretty much ignored.

I do not know much about the range of the AA missiles, really. But I'd expect the FLAK to have a great range, since it's caliber is very high, higher than the already allpowerful 8.8mm. And the Wasserfall rockets are divided, half have a good guidance system and half have a so-so guidance system. Which means that if the planes attacking are on a high altitude, only the ones with good guidance would work, and the high caliber 12.5 FLAK might do the trick as well.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The FWs stay with the hinds to fight those about 14 elite planes. The hinds' missiles had systems that managed to track those planes anyways - sadly they had spent the rest of the missiles on the Cottish planes. (The Hinds are lended, not mine, so do not expect me to understand exactly how they work. v_v' all I know is that they've got similar stealth and anti stealth systems, which can do the trick nicely ) and anyways soon they were in reach of the machineguns, no longer needing to fire missiles from afar as they were now close enough.

The Valkyrie and Flanker planes, continue to go after the Cottish planes, outnumbering them, having about the same technological level. (The cottish should be in trouble, the Valks and Flankers had went into battle with them already, though this was ignored)

The ground troops did what they could against those powerful missiles, which devastated the line. Most the infrastructure was destroyed, and a very large portion of the SSLSKM was there lost. This angered Martens, and he decided to use a V-16.

The V-16 was a mix between a plane and a missile, partially guided by a computer and partially by a pilot, it was a monstrosity of five jets with a great explosive (Although not nuclear) warhead that headed to where the core enemy forces had been sigthed by a few of the Hinds, although they were not sure if it were Cotland, Hogsweat, or both there, and as it neared it received AA fire, for it was travelling horizontally as it neared down.

The pilot managed to turn the missile-plane towards where he could see armor and some infantry lying about, probably engineers, maintenance, and the crews, and impacted there brutely into the ground, the pilot pressing the detonation button just a few meters before the rocket hit ground so to allow the great explosion to be more "thorough".

The pilot gave his life for the Vaterland.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC - Sorry for the bitching, Hogsweat. I just don't want this to turn into a war where the one who RPs to shoot more missiles wins (I'm sure you understand) and I should have said it in a more elegant manner. I propose we only use small rockets (like the V2) if everyone thinks that is allright. That way, we can roleplay our tactics better than just shooting out nukes (For me, it is funnier that way) I only had to shoot this one missile myself or otherwise our disadvantage would have been now too great (It wasn't nuclear, just a lot of TNT but not comparable to a nuke)

The Grey House, Republic of Skinny87

The door to the Grey Office was opened from the outside, and in stepped one of the President's bodyguards. Making sure nothing was amiss, especially at such a crucial time, he stepped back and allowed General Warner, head of the RSD (Republic Spacial Department) to enter.

The President looked up from yet another report, this one a Diplomatic report on an Embassy Ball in the country, and saw Warner enter. The President put down his pen and faced Warner.

'Well, General, what news from the front?' he asked. Warner sat down and placed a briefcase on a chair next to him. From the briefcase he extracted a slim cardboard file with the words ' TOP SECRET' and 'NONFORN' embossed on the front in bright green letters. Opening the file, he showed the President several Satellite images of Ostmark and Hitlerreich.

'Mr President, these images were taken several hours ago by the first of our MILSTAR Satellites. They show the creation of a large line of fortifications being built, and indeed finished being built along the Thomasien border.'

Martin nodded. 'Can these lines be breached if needed?' he asked quietly. Warner smile grimly. 'In theory Mr President, any fortification can be broken given enough time and manpower; these fortifications can be broken only through the committal of all of our armed forces with the exception of those already stationed in Ostmark or overseas. The casualties would be expotential at even the most conservative of rates.'

A few SSLSKM troops that were overseas, or scattered in different parts come in to aid the weakened core of the SSLSKM, with supplies and goods. These reinforcements are not a large number of troops, but even the last man can be helpful. They also bring some prototype weapons, including the Maus III prototype, a literally Gigantic tank.

The morale now due to the missile attack had lowered, but the sight of the newer weapons - some of which will remain secret until they are used - made things a little better, as the medics rushed to attend to the very numerous victims of the blast. The Germans were used to getting their fortifications destroyed, they just grabbed the same bricks again and started all over again with iron will, like all the previous times Berlin had been destroyed.

At night, the National Anthem sounded through the loudspeaker, the Kaiser Martens SSLS flag up in the middle of the night throughout the fortifications.

A great surprise then took place. The morning arrived with his personal march being played ( Rammstein - Sonne Remix by Clawfinger ) Arrived Kaiser Michel Martens himself followed by his 15 elite Armored vehicles type "Lohengrim", sitting proudly atop the tank and saluting the troops that gathered to witness this, which saluted him already.

"The Kaiser is with us! We will not loose now!"
"HEIL MARTENS! HEIL MARTENS!"

My Soldiers!

I have heard of the massacre inflicted by that terrible missile! Worry not, I've answered and fired one back at their armored group. I could not sit there in my palace watching you die for me as I sipped comfortably from expensive glasses of wine! I will not let you nor the Scythians nor the Thomasians suffer the same destiny as the Ostmarkers or the Hitlerreichers! I have come here to lead our troops, to lead our brave Teutonic troops, TO VICTORY!

And then the enemy will learn, the enemy WILL learn not to mess with the people of Germany! We have the best soldiers in the world, but we fight much better when what we are fighting for is for our people! So let us continue the fight! Every man we shoot down is another child that can have a nice life in our cities. FAILURE, IS NOT AN OPTION! Never forget what you are. You're German soldiers who have received a lifetime of training for this moment of truth, you're the modern Einherjar and I am the modern Odin, and I tell you, I will not allow our Ragnarok to come so easily and so quickly. So FIGHT. FIGHT for the future of our Reich

DEUTSCHLAND! ÜBER ALLES, ÜBER ALLES IM DER WELT!!! - The anthem started again...

MARTENS - HEIL
MARTENS - HEIL

And so on, it continued for a while as he then bowed his head lightly and went into his personal Bunker. The dead seemed to have awoken with his arrival, even the wounded willing to fight now as the medics worked along with the engineers around the clock to try to rebuild the battered SSLS.

But Martens did not even then rest, he went to where the wounded were being taken care of and assisted the medics as they were healed. As he said, he would not sit around and watch the people die....after many hours of this, he finally gave in to sleep as he let himself fall onto the bed at his private chamber.... "Nie verloren....." he drifted off to sleep.

The six F-22s and six F-16s were providing cover for the AC-130 as it flew towards the homebase doing 300 knots. It would be within friendly SAM range in less then three minutes. The F-22s would probably make it out safely as well, with their minimal RCS signature and low heat signature. It was most likely the F-16s who would have to give their planes and/or lives. Accepting the risks, the six F-16s turned 180° and engaged the enemy fighters, aquiring targets and firing off AIM-120C AMRAAM Slammers as they locked on. Within a minute, 24 Slammers were in their attack speed of Mach 3.5 en route for the Martensian planes. As the Slammers flew against the Martensians, the Falcons flew closer so they could utilize their Sidewinders and M61A2 20mm Vulcan gatling cannon.

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/missile/amraam-dfsc9501963.jpg

Also turning were the F-22s, who had fired off the missiles they carried on the wing-brackets as well as the brackets themselves. Now, their RCS were no larger then that of a bird, so they snuk up on their prey at an altitude of 37 000 feet, who would be confused by the Slammers fired off by the F-16s. At a range of 8 nautical miles, the F-22s fired of their remaining AIM-120s, four each, and pulled out their AIM-9X Sidewinders, preparing to fire at whoever remained.

ooc: Right now I have a total of 48 AIM-120C Slammers after you Martens. Surely you have more planes then that. Looks like a real dogfight upcoming :D

The two Briages will stay in Checkpoint Alpha and wil be rotated every 3 months to keep fresh troops in the area. However, these Brigades will be reinforced if the need is found.

First Combat Battalion: Ostmark

First Combat Battalion rolled slowly along the now deserted highway, the sight of an unknown force may have been interesting to the locals, but most of them would certianly not come out, they had no idea who they were with.
"Hold." Colonel Aya said into her mic, holding up her arm as she did to signal the battalion to stop. Quickly the vehicles came to a stop as she lifted her binoculars again to her eyes. An open plain laid before them, potmarcked with only a few craters, one right in the centre of the road.
"How close are we to the lines?" Colonel Aya said once again into her mic.
"Sixty five clicks mam." Came the reply through breif static.
She thought for a moment, again looking over the feild. Could it be mines? She thought a moment, her thinking cut off by the sound of aircraft. She looked up, seeing the Republican Airforce symbol steciled upon the underside of the wings.
"First Battalion, this is Raven one, come in, over." Crackled over the radio, cathing the Colonel by surprise.
"First Battalion here, Colonel Aya in command, over." She responded, putting her attention back to the feild and the trees.
"KM rockets, no mines. But keep an eye forward, the battle is turning sour, and they're pretty dug in up there. Over."
"Affirmative, thanks for the information Raven one. Out."
"Happy hunting First Battalion." The last response trailed out into static as the fighters flew off.

The Battalion moved forward, cautious now that they approached the front lines as they moved into the nearby forrest. They stopped and spread out within the forrest when they reached 40 kilometers from the front, where Colonel Aya dispatched teo Sergents on dirtbikes to connect with the nearby Skinny87 forces.

The status of the current SSLS operating air force was the following.

40 Hinds, but they headed back for the Martens Strongpoint in the Thomasien Line to reload their missiles.

Now, in order from Better to Worst unit
31 Flankers, 46 (From the original 60) Valkyrie Class Fighters and 60 Focke Wulves (From original 90) that being somewhat weaker then the others and less fast (But with great maneuverability) had suffered the greatest losses while fending off superior aircraft.

The Flankers fired off all of their remaining missile jammers, which worked quite well deflecting the majority of them, but in the chaos about 7 more planes were struck anyways and shot down.

The total of over 100 planes went into direct "collision" course towards the 40 enemies, firing off, but strangely the Valkyries and Flankers did not fire the missiles, only the vulcan guns, and speed up to their maximum power as they simply skipped those 40 planes after they managed to briefly shoot their way through, sustaining about 6 looses more. The FWs were a little behind, and so when the enemy planes most likely tried to follow the Flankers and Valkyries, they arrived from behind and engaged into dogfight with them, the already existant fight allowing the correct timing for this to work right, as the FWs shoot the remaining few guided rockets they still had, some of them.

Now the enemy air forces had to decide, whether if to stay and fight with the outnumbering FWs or to try to go after the Flankers and Valkyries, which were going to catch up and get a one-minute-chance to inflict more losses on the retreating planes before they reached their base. All the KM planes had detailed instructions on what to do depending what each of the two groups of enemy planes would do. This had been planned by the Flight Leader.

At the same time 30 Krieger IIC type Helicopters tried to catch up with the FWs, these sent as reinforcement just in case.

OOC: I thought we had agreed not to launch any more über one-hit-kill missiles. You must have missed that, Thomasien. The thing is, as we had said before, if we just start using missiles then the other will shoot more back, and so on, killing the roleplay and just turning the thing into a game where the one with the most rockets wins, which would be boring...

So uhm perhaps you should only shoot one of the missiles instead, so we can all just stop with them and keep roleplaying the war as it was coming along normally. It's much funnier that way, without missiles...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The work progressed throughout the line, all the armor and weapons that were in good enough a state to be repaired having been finished, and all the wounded that were still good enough to fight in a better condition. They all continued to fortify the area. The Thomasian line now consisted of three strong walls which resembled a miniature modern version of the Great wall of china, with both machineguns and large calibre weapons along them, some flak towers present, the first wall being the toughest, the second the weakest, and the last the second to strongest. Just past the last wall laid the extremely fortified mini-fortress the Kaiser had arranged to protect himself.

Supplies kept coming, making the troops no longer hungry and ready, and there was plenty of ammunition, though it was put away in the bunkers so it coudln't get blown up easily.

Now, the Krieger helicopters aided efficiently the Focke wulves which had engaged previously with part of the enemy force. Their missiles should do short work of their enemy, the proportion now being 2.5 to 1. The Hinds currently reloaded and refueled at the air strips past the Thomasien Line, but were not yet ready for some action. PSW 388 and Luchs II scout vehicles had began this day to scout about the areas and explore, spotting the position of a few of the enemies before "cowardly" running back to the base before they were in range of attack.

"What now, Kaiser?"
"Now, we wait."

Attempts of contact proved unsuccessful, so the operators followed procedure and launched a volley of missiles at them while pressing the alarm button, alerting all Cottish military personell in Ostmarks capitol. Flying in more then Mach 5 towards the inbound contacts, the clash between the contacts and the Patriots was expected to occur within the minute.

========

The six F-22s and four remaining F-16s had fired off all their missiles, and were flying as fast as they could for home. The F-22s flew at Mach 1.8 and the F-16s flew in Mach 2. Hopefully, they would make it home in one piece.

The Flankers and Valkyrie planes continued to speed up as they neared the escaping planes more. They decided not to risk any further and at once each of them shot all of their homing missiles towards these escaping planes, once they were in decent reach, in two waves, this would surely shoot down a decent number of some of the escaping planes. Then the Martens planes did an U turn and went back, as the main group of figthers eliminated those which had stayed behind, and met up with these (Krieger helicopters included) to escort them back to the Martens base, this done to prevent any aerial counterattacks.

Once past the Thomasien line some would get partial refueling, because there was not room for the enormous mass of planes, about 25% would continue with the partial refueling to get supplies and repairs past Thomasien itself in the Länder of Kaiser Martens. All the others carefully arranged as they were repaired, refilled, refueled, and such. A few of the pilots that had bailed out actually were pick by the PSW scout wagens mentioned earlier, and brought back to the base.

Escaping proved to be more difficult for the Cots then first thought. The F-22s had dropped their radar signature substantially, below 0.6 on the RCS, and they flew close to the ground while dropping chaff and flares like crazy. So did the F-16s, but they were picked off one by one. After two minutes, the only F-16 left in the air were Major Pickering's plane. He flew in Mach 1,9 at less then 300 feet, dropping what he had of chaff and flares. Unfortunately, he still had three missiles on his tail, closing every second. Alarms of every kind yelled out: Go up; Missile inbound; Bingo fuel; Fuel supply low; etc. The way Pickering figured, he would get shot down no matter how many G's he pulled.

"Chicken flight, this is Turkey 5! Eject, eject, eject!" he radioed to the F-22s cruising behind him somewhere in Mach 1,76 before he pulled the ejection handle. This started a prosess of blasting off the canopy before launching the pilot out of the cockpit of the doomed plane, leaving the plane to crash (it was doomed anyway) and letting the pilot slowly decend to the ground in his parachute. Major Pickering had seen some troops in the distance when he decended to the ground that seemed like Skinny87 troops, so the pilot decided to move towards them. He did keep his SigSauer P226 cocked and at the ready, just in case...

ooc: I'm moving the Major towards the Skinny87 troops near the front.

So, basically, those troops somehow trying to get there would be suicide.

About five minutes later, 200mm artillery rockets started to fall onto where Pickering had arrived, a good barrage of them. This was because 6 Nebelwerfer II were sitting off, in the distance unnoticed at first as they began their attack on the infantry. Just as this happened, 5 PSW 8.8 Armored Scout Vehicles drove close and shot their 8.8 FLAK at the troops along with 7 Luchs III recon tanks that activated their Gatling Guns on the troops, all of the vehicles moving quickly and spreading panic at first (or at least trying to) before then turning around and driving off at max speed as the turrets remained pointing backwards, ready for any attack, and the Nebelwerfers stood ready to run off with them when they would catch up.

It was a simple Hit-and-run mission. Strangely, the vehicles hadn't been detected by the radar at the beginning, but when the attack began they had appeared out of the blue. It must be some new technology.

The Deployment of the 402nd Stalker Fleet signaled yet another Sovereignty Appearence. Off the Coastal Waters, roughly 2.5km out, a protrusion was rising from beneath the surface, running in a parallel trajectory course with the coast. The single Zhukov Class Nuclear Submarine rearmed for gun-battery duties surfaced, and kept a steady speed in doing so..With the 'Enemy' Forces currently 'North-west' from the Submarines view, in reality it was traveling southbound.

The trio of single turret-mounted 450mm Naval-grade guns arched off the left side of the vessel and took aim at the heavens above. The wideness of the vessels chassi would allow for such firepower to be utilized at these speeds from the top-side deck, as no sooner than the aimed guns finished their arching, that they began belching long streams of fire from within their shadowed throats, hurling the HE equipped Warheads towards coordinates supplied from inland units.

Three volleys over an exact 3 minute period would be the task, before two additional RDM-0050NS's would surface and release a salvo of 12 missiles, each equipped with a minor .08kiloton Explosive Warhead(12 launched per Sub), before the three vessels would submerge into the deep blue once more.

IC: The sudden appearance of the Kaiser Marten troops by the trenches of the Republican troops was completely unexpected and was devestating.

The half-tracks hit a weakened part of the defensive line and came through the trenches, surprising the relaxed defenders, rolling over them and crushing those unfortunate souls who had not managed to scramble out of the way. Only a few sentries managed to open fire on the vehicles because security had been lax since the withdrawal, but the fire did little damage. The Kaiser Marten vehicles reached the Command Posts behind the lines and opened up with a withering barrage, knocking down and killing dozens of vital staff officers and aides before the troops could react.

Finally, as the vehicles withdrew from the burning and wrecked front-line, Republican troops managed to respond. Machine-gun fire swept the retreating tracks and managed to kill several soldiers, and several AT4's were fired, knocking out three half-tracks. However, the damage had been done; Republican communications had been destroyed and vital staffers had been killed. All that was left were shocked soldiers left to clear up the damage, and plan for revenge...

Pickering sat inside the command tent when the Martens troops attacked. He threw himself on the ground and grabbed his P226. Crawling out of the tent, he saw Martens vehicles and confused Republican troops, wandering around as decapitated hens before they reacted and started to shoot. Seeing Martens troops, Pickering opened fire, emptying the clip on one person. Seing some dead Republicans, he grabbed a dropped SMG and opened up on the enemy, catching a bullet in his forehead as he shot on the enemy. Everything seemed to stop up and go red for Pickering before it went black and his lifeless body dropped to the ground, first on the knees before keeling over on the ground, still bleeding from the round 5.56mm hole above his right eye. He died a heros death, and would ignite the mighty gunpowder-barrel that is Cottish patriotism.

The tanks just watched the Marten attack on the Skinny troops. Sitting in the woods not far from the Skinny87 lines, a platoon (18) of DC-4A main battle tanks, heavily camoflauged, waited.
There was nothing they could do to help their allies, but they could certinally enact revenge. As the Marten vehicles drove off from their massacre, the tanks opened fire, targeting vehicles one by one as their 125mm high velocity smoothbore guns rang out, putting sabot rounds through every armoured vehicle they could manage.
As quickly as they attack began, the tanks broke from their hiding places, charging into the foray of battle, switching to HESH rounds, fired at near point blank range into whatever vehicle they could find. The roof mounted mortars firing fragmentation grenades all over the imediate area, the pinging sound of shrapnell bouncing off the tanks bodies being drowned out by the boom of thei main guns.

10 Panther IIs emerged soon to fight against the 18 enemy tanks, opening fire with their 12.5 cannons, moving quickly for these tanks were the fastest among the Reichswehr heavy tanks. They had to wait until the enemy tanks came out to chase the Martens tanks to do so, so not to give away their position. Then, as they proceeded further chasing the weaker vehicles (Some of which, the ones with 8.8 FLAK, fired back, successfully defending) the enemy tanks were also hit by 8.8 Shells. Thing is, there were four 8.8 Doppelschuss Technology (Which means their firing rate is x2 comparing to standards, approximately) PaKs hidden as well. These were not as easy to spot as a tank, so the enemy would have much more trouble facing them.

The weaker troops continued to run away at full speed, a few of the halftracks exploding but the Armored PSWs armed with flak staying there to block the enemy's way, letting the Martens soldiers run away in their vehicles.

As much as the counter ambush had been successful, one Nebelwerfer, several of the weakest non-armored vehicles, and some of the Luchs IIIs and PSW 888s were inevitably lost. But the losses there were justified, as the mission was a success so far.

A few of the soldiers that ended up on foot, just clambered on the remaining vehicles to make a quicker getaway, soon going past the Thomasien Line into safety.

The troops that stayed behind to fight did the best they could to try and defeat the now outnumbered enemy (22 to 18) quickly, to then run off before reinforcements would arrive. Just in case, 30 Schutzer type Helicopters were dispatched, but would not arrive just yet, or do anything offensive.

Although many of the Republican forces had been withdrawn from the sector, some still remained. One unit still remaining was a flight of 10 A-10 Warthogs based at Checkpoint Alpha. As soon as they heard of the massacre and the tank battle in progress, the whole flight was ordered to launch and commence an attack run on the Kaiser Marten Vehicles.

Alpha Leader led his flight of Warthogs tree-hopping towards the area in order to disguise themselves from Radar; it was a perilous thing to Tree-hop, but fortunately all ten Warthogs made it to the area.

Seeing the flaming and burning Republican base pass beneath their wings, the Warthogs saw the Tank-battle sprawled across the open plain by the base. Althought they could not hit many of the vehices for fear of hitting allied vehicles, the Warthogs unleashed a string of Anti-Tank Missiles on a group of Half-tracks fleeing the area. Then turning back they strafed another group as they went to full military power to get out of the area. Unfortunately they had not counted on expecting much anti-aircraft fire, and three Warthogs were knocked out of the air in flames before the rest evaded detection.

Message to Skinny87

We would very much appreciate if you could return the body of Major Pickering to us so that we can give him a proper Christian burial. His sacrifice have reached the media in Cotland, and people are flocking to the recruiting offices. In advance, thank you.

Emperor Thomas I of Cotland

=====

The Emperor had just sent off a message to Skinny87, and was now in the war council with the Field Marshalls, Generals and Admirals of Cotland. With them, the officers had detailed plans for all kinds of retaliation plans against Kaiser Martens.

"Gentlemen, I want plans, no I want detailed plans for a surgical tactical nuclear strike against Kaiser Martens. They will pay for the murder on Pickering!" the Emperor stated, red in his face due to the anger he felt on behalf of the late Majors family, who had gotten a personal telephone call from the Emperor a few hours ago. It had been a very emotional conversation.

The General in charge of the Air Force spoke first.

"Sir, if we are to preform a strike, I reccommend that we use the B61 Mod-10 thermonuclear device. It has a variable yeald of 0.3, 5, 10 or 80 kilotons, and can be delivered using either the B-1B Lancer, B-2B Spirit, B-52H Stratobomber or F/B-22A Manta. It will lay waste most within its range, and completely destroy all electronic equipment in the area. Estimated casualties are expected to be 95 - 100%. Sir, if we are to attack with the B61, I strongly reccommend that we use three weapons in a triangle pattern. This will not be a problem to execute. The B-2B Spirit can carry up to 16 B61s at the time sir."

The Emperor merely nodded. It would be a carnage if he decided to go thru with it.

"General, what if we were to carpet-bomb the area? With Mk-82s or JDAMs?"

The General was relieved when he heard the Emperor thinking about alternate options. The General thought very hard while he went thru his papers, then he replied.

"Each Mk-82 contains 89 kilograms of high explosives. One B-2B Spirit can carry 80 Mk-82s, making the total amount of high explosives carried to the battlefield end at 7 120 kilograms per plane. I strongly reccomend that we use the Spirit, due to the massive enemy air defenses. As for the JDAMs, each GBU-32 contains 472,5 kilogram of high explosive and each plane can carry 16 JDAMs. Thus, each plane carry 7 560 kilograms of high explosives. They are extremely devestating against enemy ground targets sir. If I have to choose between the nuclear and the conventional option, I choose the conventional sir."

The General breathed deeply when he stopped talking. He had voiced his opinion, and now he had to wait and see what the Emperor said. The Emperor closed his eyes and consentrated. He had to choose now. After a little while he opened his eyes and looked at the people sitting at the table.

"General, make the preperations for use of three B-2B Spirits. Armed with Mk-82 bombs. I want them there at nightfall. Understand?"

The General nodded before he grabbed a phone and started talking. It would be a conventional strike. Thank God.

The tanks slowly began to back into the forest, using their thick frontal armour for protection as the continued to fire on whatever Marten forces were nearby, and indeed continued to fire at the retreating enemy vehicles.
Three DC-4A's were not as lucky as the rest, being hit in various places in the suspension, and one being hit in the engine. While not lethal shots, they certianly immobalised the tanks on the battlefeild, where they continued to fire as pillboxes. The other tank crews noticed this, forming a protective sheild as several of the still opperational tanks came in behind the damaged ones, men running from the rear hatches of the downed tanks to attach tow cables.
As the Martens forces faded from sight, the platoon retreated into the woods, dragging their wounded vehicles behind them.
In all the confusion there had been many wounded, even two now blind soldiers, but only one fatality, a young Private who was caught by a stray round from an enemy rifle.
Kaiser Martens

The tank crews noticed while moving away that their shots were not too effective, and seeing how the tracks were the most vulnerable spots, they aimed to them while retreating. The PaK 8.8 chamouflaged guns (They are antitanks, just sit there) remained shooting there from their positions, but then quickly mounted on their armored halftracks and darted through the forest trying to make their way out in the confusion of the battle without suffering losses.

The FLAK tanks continued to fire at the enemy tanks, making a good dent, until they saw the airplanes and opened fire towards them instead, the FLAK being also an AA gun quite obviously.

The Nebelwerfers managed to send two barrages of 30 small rockets towards the battle area to cover the escape of the tanks and the PaKs, before driving off along with the OTHER troops on the armored vehicles. These rockets barely scratched anything armored, but were absolutely devastating against soft targets.

"Damn, I should have sent the Kriegers instead" the Schutzer helicopters were nowhere as fast, and arrived when the enemy airplanes had already shot their own barrages and were. However, they locked on then their missiles and fired away their air-air missiles for the very brief seconds they had range before the fast planes were out of rage, then shooting down a brief barrage of fire to the ground troops before joining the tanks and others in their runaway, yet remaining alert if the planes were to return.

The crew managed to exit from one of the damaged FLAK tanks, and took out their light arms, including three tube grenades, tossing them out for the tanks and preparing to resist there along with three tanks that faced the same "pillbox" destiny before mentioned. Remarkably, one of the members of a
FLAK crew taking out the Panzerfaust he had carried, fired it off to one of the pillbox while heroically shouting "DEUTSCHLAND!!!". Of course, he'd get at least 40 bullets through his body in the process of the pillbox-tank destruction, but he'd go to the Valhalla, definately.

Just like in that painting, one by one the Martens stranded soldiers fell, while fighting "like they could" with their light antipersonal weapons, until there was only one. He stared at the crowd of enemies before him, and then with MP-98 in one hand and Kaiser Martens war flag in the other, raised it and said in english with an accent. "Weer not defeted yet!!!" hopping on the scraps of one tank and firing away at the infantry, holding the flag of his Vaterland to his last breath... The Last Soldier.

The troops once back in the Martens base reported.
"Heil Mein Kaiser" Some of the men seemed pretty beaten up.
"Just tell me the news."
- Then he told his Kaiser about the battle, and in the end of his status report he added: "Total losses are one Nebelwerfer, 3 PSW-Flak 8.8, and four Panther IIs, two of them remaining to fight with their mobility disabled, plus two halftracks carrying 15 soldiers each, however 8 soldiers managed to escape and get on other vehicles. Luckily, the PaKs made it all right. The enemy did not even know what was shooting them. I'm sure they left a good dent in the enemy, too. The Schutzers got in time to shoot a final deterring wave of fire to the enemy allowing us to exit safely"
"You may rest now, men. You've served the Vaterland very well. You are heroes." He smiled. "We lost some good people, but they lost many more. It was a success. Hopefully, things will work out just nicely... Dismissed."

Martens then turned around, folding his arms behind his back and looking over the landscape, standing in the massive front wall of the Thomasien Line as the wind blowed. He narrowed his eyes, considering the options. "Hmm."
Then he turned around and slowly descended, watching over the organized troops waiting for the attack that would eventually arrive.

He called then his main advisor there, General Walter, and spoke a few words with him. Martens had something new in mind. "Jawohl Mein Kaiser!" then he departed to carry out the new orders. Martens yawned lightly and then went sit with the common soldiers, as the War Flag of the Martens Kaiserreich, proudly moved with the wind there, making everyone proud.

From: Republic of Skinny87
The Republic wishes to send its deepest condolences to your government and Major Pickering's family for the loss of this brave warrior: Major Pickering died honourably in battle fighting alongside Republican troops, and his valour shall not be forgotten soon. His body has been sent back to The Republic, where it shall then be sent to Cotland on the first available flight in order for the Major to be buried

Word soon got to the President about the massacre at the Republican base; incensed at the massacre, President Martin authorised the deployemtn of Three Infantry Divisions and Two Armoured Divisions to the Theatre of Operations, as well as an equal number of Air Superiority Wings. The First Carrier Fleet was also ordered to move to aid these forces off the Ostmark Coast.

The Republic of Skinny87 was once again marching off to war.

As the orders came down the channels, three B-2B Spirit stealth bombers were loaded with 80 Mk-82 500 lbs bombs each and prepared for a live mission. A total of 240 bombs, 21 360 kgs of high explosives would rain down on the enemy. Six F-22B Raptor stealth fighters were prepared to fly escort. Each plane was armed with 2x AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles and 6x AIM-120C AMRAAM Slammer missiles in their internal bays, in addition to the 480 rounds for the 20mm M61A2 gatling cannon.

***

As the airplanes took off from a secret airbase inside Cotland, two RAH-66A Comanche helicopters were out on a mission in Ostmark. The helicopters were undetectable on radar/lidar, and their heat signature was so low that any heat-seeking missile would have to be extremely close for it to detect the two attack helicopters. Their mission today was to raid the enemy forces. For this purpose, each helicopter carried 6x AGM-114L Hellfire II anti-tank missiles and 2x FIM-92C Stinger anti-air missiles inside the weapons bays and 250 20mm rounds for the tri-barreled gatling cannon in its nose.

***

Closing to their target in 46 000 feet, the three B-2Bs and six F-22Bs were flying stealthy in 400 knots. Five minutes to showtime. The weapons operators in the Spirits prepared the bombs one last time, and the pilots plotted the bombing range. Meanwhile the Raptor pilots was maintaining a continuing stare on the passive lidar. So far so good.

"Spirit flight, this is Raptor flight. So far so good. We've got a few bandits at angels 27, 500 knots. They don't know we're here. We are clear for final approach."

"Raptor, Spirit. Wilco. Beginning final approach. Out."

The three Spirits decended to 40 000 feet and slowed to 300 knots. Perfect conditions for the bombs to be dropped. Just two minutes till they opened the doors (ruining their stealth while they are open) and dropped the bombs now.

***

The two RAH-66s were now hidden behind some trees, spying on their prey 9 kilometers away, a supply collum that were going to resupply the Martens' forces in the area. Ten 5-ton trucks and four IFVs in total. 'Easy prey' the pilots thought as they accended and opened the bay doors (ruining their stealth), releasing their payload. Each target was tagged with one AGM-114L Hellfire II missile each. The Comanches closed their bay doors, restoring their stealth immediately, but remained with the mast-mounted radar dome above the treeline to guide the missiles to their target.

***

Showtime. The three B-2B Spirits opened their bay doors and released a total of 240 Mk-82 bombs before they closed the doors again and changed heading. The entire operation had taken 40 seconds, enough time for the enemy to detect them. Unfortunately for the enemy, they would be unable to detect the Spirits when the doors were shut once again. The nine planes climbed back up to 46 000 feet and increased speed to 600 knots, racing back to friendly skies. The mission would hopefully be successful.

Martens had expected some sort of attack like this and had taken precautions. The Hinds and Flankers had been actively moving around the and past the Thomasien line (70 approximately total aircraft), these and not other planes were doing this because their detection and stealth systems were better.

The enemy planes had managed to go undetected, although truth was they hadn't detected the Flankers or Hinds either, in spite of being so close. As soon as the bomb hatches opened, when the enemy was about to attack, 4 Hinds and 7 Flankers that were on the area, quickly reacted and darted to intercept them, some were pretty close already. They slowed down a bit once they had them in sight, not wanting to loose them, then the pilots cursing when they saw the first bombs being dropped anyways. "FEUER FREI!" the flight commander ordered, and a barrage of specially prepared cluster missiles were shot from different directions to the group of planes, so that their spreading effect would hit them no-matter-what and lack of guiding technology would make them pretty much unable to be jammed away.

Soon the Hinds joined the Flankers, because they were a bit slower, and fired as well. At the same time, ground defences were alerted and just two seconds after, the first set of bombs fell on the supply convoy.

In about 15 seconds more, 2 more hinds and 3 more Flankers would join the fight. The enemy that had dared attack would surely die, however, the bombs were dropped and a good part of the supplies had been destroyed. The damage had been done, but the pilots there above would certainly not allow those planes to just get away with it, so easily.

If they attempted to get away through the Thomasien Line the enemy would have trouble as well, that is assumingly they SOMEHOW managed to escape the pursuing outnumbering elite fighters. This is because it would turn out that the second line out of three that composes the Thomasien Line was composed entirely and totally out of Air Defense. This ment a brutal wall of 12.5 FLAK, Wasserfall Guided AA Rockets, and the new Gungnir-AAracketenwerfer that shot cluster missiles like those the Hinds and Flankers had tried for the first time in the battle. As soon as the fighters would give the signal, in case they were getting away, all of the FLAKs would open fire, effectively making an AA curtain. Besides, once the enemy had been at least partially damage they'd loose their stealth and then the Guided Wasserfall rockets would be shot at them, to eliminate them once and for all.

Since Martens knew some attack like this was prone to take place, he split the convoy in three this time. Each vehicle was loaded with 1/3 of their capacity only, and the three convoys looked like regular ones.
Even then, the casualties were not. Those bombs had been powerful, and had killed many men, only Reserves, but men indeed, and had destroyed the road, the convoy, and demoralized the troops there as they saw themselves to be so vulnerable.

The enemy's mission was a success - With it's price.

Strangely, behind the Thomasien Line, some unusual activity was going on. Like the core of the Resistance Army was actually not at the Thomasien line, but behind in the plains. What would that mean?

----------------------------------------------------

"Enter The Kriegsmarine."

The Kriegsmarine was only 100 ships, but it'd definately try and fight the enemy navy bravely anyways. The mission was simple. "If it floats and is not ours, then shoot it, shoot it like there's no tomorrow"

I'm tempted to ignore those statements, unless they lower the numbers substantially. Remember, if you don't have the cash, the ships don't run. My advice to you is to start in the small numbers and then increase when your nation grows. A good rule of the thumb is to keep your military forces on no more then 1-2% of your population. Another one is that the normal soldier/logistics ratio is 1 soldier per 6 logistics personell.

Martens, I'll post something later. Just one thing. Once the bombers close the hatches, you can't see them on radar. That, and this being in the middle of the night makes it verry verry difficult to find them... *laughs devilishly*

The threath detectors on the B-2s suddenly started to sound, alerting the crew of missiles inbound. They still had twelve bombs to drop before they could close the hatches. The six F-22s locked on the enemy fighters and fired off two Slammers each on the enemy, making it a total of 12 AMRAAMs flying towards the hostile fighters, it had to be fighters, at Mach 3,8. At the same time, they dropped chaff and flares to attract the enemy missiles away from the Spirits. They also flew in between the B-2s and the incoming missiles to try to distort the radar lock. More enemy fighters were inbound, but by now, two B-2s had dropped their ordinance and closed the bay doors, restoring radar immunity. The third one wasn't so lucky. It caught not one, not two, not three but four missiles, killing the pilots and blowing it out of the sky. One of the F-22s were also lost when it was hit by a missile intended for the B-2s. The pilot ejected, but being deep behind enemy lines, the pilot would be dead before morning. The two planes lost crashed and blew up, destroying its electronics and weapons equipment. Nothing could be salvaged from the wrecks other then the bodies of the pilots and some wreckage. It was a sad day indeed.

Will you FEBRUARY nations stop pissing on people who have been here longer? They have played more RP's than you and know how to RP wars on NS better. Learn to stick to your GDP and the 2% population to military rule.
A extremely new nation (Meaning mid to late February nations/early March Nations) cannot afford dozens of naval vessels. Nations who have $100,000,000,000 + Defence Budget can afford dozens of naval vessels (meaning nations from January and earler [earler meaning before hand])

Here's your compensation so you can sleep well with the thought that this time, you couldn't do better to stop your enemies raising a navy that you actually won't outnumber. $23,888,482,508.80 - this sounds enough for my navy, considering that (as Svartberg-H said) tanks are no use on ROCKS RISING FROM THE ICY WATER. Hell, even after supporting these vessels, we have money to have all the defence we need on our pieces of rock.

OOC: Don't forget;
A) How much a battleship costs.
B) How much a battleship costs to maintain.
C) how much a support ship costs.
D) How much a support ship costs to maintain.
E) How many support ships you need per battleship (At least a 1:1 ratio, unless you use big support ships which are just bigger targets.)

Not to mention feeding, paying, cloathing, and generally supplying the crews. Fuel, ammunition, general maintenence, smaller combat craft, anti-submarine warfare, and coastal patrol.

Secret IC:

Grand Admiral James Jericho paced back and forth as the combined fleets of the Shazbotdom Navy as it approaches Italy. Their orders are to head to the eastern side of Italy and set up a naval command post there. After speaking with the Secretary of Defence, the Grand Admiral decided that the best way to drop in the Army Platoons would be by sea. He also decided that they would launch naval landing vehicles off of the Aircraft Carriers and Destroyers to land the troops on the shoreline. They would then begin the long trek toward the combat zone. With the rest of his plans prepared to be set in motion, he used a secure transmission line to talk to the Executive Captain in charge of the CG-59 Volcano Class Arsenal Ship's and the CGN-56 Xero Guided Missile Cruiser's.

G. Admiral: "Executive Captain Johnson, what is the status of the Cruise Missiles?"

E. Captain: "Well Sir, we are almost done with the inspection of the weaponry and we report that all of them are ready for use. The problem is that several of the launch tubes are behind some mechanical equipment, and we have to send one person in at a time between the equipment to check the Missiles. We expect the full inspection process on all the ships to be done by the time we reach CP."

G. Admiral: "Understood. Keep me posted."

E. Captain: "USS Spartan out."

The Grand Admiral then looked at the large clock on the bridge. T Minus 1 hour and 30 minutes before they reach CP.

So I find it quite realistic to be able to RP higher quality troops and equipment then normal, as well as better training (According to Thirdgeek, I spend over $750k per soldier). And a total of 30,000 tanks (Just tanks, not includinf IFV's, APC'sand other stuff.. I'm based in the Middle East, fuel is not a problem).

"Martens, I'll post something later. Just one thing. Once the bombers close the hatches, you can't see them on radar. That, and this being in the middle of the night makes it verry verry difficult to find them... *laughs devilishly* "

Okay, Cotland. I get it. Allow me to now make slight modifications to my troops' actions so that it still is logical.

-------

Once the ships lost their stealthiness due to opening up to let the bombs go, the Hinds and Flankers headed for them, opening fire massively in an attempt to hit them anyways in the middle of the night. Cluster missiles were used, these had no guidance system and hence would not be jammed.
If one of the enemy units was to be hit, the heat emanating would give them away to the heat scanners (or so I beleive) then enabling the Wasserfall AA and FLAK to also shoot towards them. However, it was too late obviously to stop all of the bombs. (And then here goes the already mentioned thing of the convoy splitting, the FLAK/Wasserfall wall in the Thomasien line, the losses, and whatnot)

In the mess that the night battle became as everyone tried to shoot the enemies desperately, one Flanker pilot had to eject as he was hit by accident by one of the cluster missile blasts.

OOC now.

I think they kinda have a point. Your nation is too new to have *that* many stuff (You should use perhaps just a small number instead, just for the heck of being in the RP ). But regardless of that I've noticed that Shazbotdom used the Mediterranean instead of the Baltic as I thought. Hitlerreich used to be Germany, Ostmark is austria, and now we're sort of a bit east from all that where the Thomasien line is (All, approximately)
So, thing here is, Italy is not participating in the war. It is Neutral. I don't see why Italy would allow those 180 ships to just wander about in their waters. Besides, there's communist Albania too, neutral as well. I think the stuff should go through the Northern waters, rather than there. I don't know. Those 180 ships wouldn't have any targets from where they are.

OOC:
Cruise Missiles (Especially the ones i bought from Phoenix Milita) can go an extremely long distance. I could hit outlying targets in their nation from where i positioned my ships. It's a shorter distance to the nation being invaded from the Mediterranean (Looked up a map for that info). That and my ships are sitting in International Waters, so Italy doesn't have any say about the placment of my ships.

The Grand Admiral walks to the outside observation deck of the ship and looks out at the small strip of land that he can barley see of in the distance. The Cruise Missile carrying ships are just to his left. The fleet has come to a complete stop and the missile doors have been opened on the Cruise Missile carrying ships. He paces back and forth and then looks towars the carriers to his right. He motions his hand in the air and a mobile radio is brought out of the bridge to him.

G. Admiral: "Aircraft Carriers. Prepare to launch the F/A-117x's with the BMG-5's."

As he turns back toward the aircraft carriers, he sees 2 F/A-117x's being launched from each carrier. Hidden away within their small bomb bay's were 2 BMG-5 Hatchet Cruise Missiles. Only a handful of these were put on aircraft so they would have to make sure that they are launched at the right targets. A total of 18 F/A-117x's were launched for a total of 36 Super-Sonic Cruise Missiles. He then walks back into the bridge and looks at the computerized monitor on the back wall, watching as the dots that are the Stealth Fighters fly off to the north.

He picks up a red telephone and presses a red button on it.

G. Admiral: "Mr. Emporer, the first assault wave is off. T-Minus 3 hours till initial assault."

Emporer: "Excellent. Relay all map information to my office."

G. Admiral: "Yes your Excelency. Grand Admiral James Jericho Out."

On board the USS Freedom I, a La Salle Class Command Ship, the Grand Admiral watches the large electronic map on the wall as the F/A-117x Stealth Planes approach the drop point for their Missiles. Just behind him, on the radio console, his Second in Command, Captain Fuller, is listening to radio conversations from the disputed region.

G. Admiral: “Any signs of someone spotting our birds in the air?”

Captain: “Not yet. Most of what I’m hearing is over general radio transmissions about how much fighting is going on near the boarders. There’s not much of if they spotted any aircraft coming from the sea.”

G. Admiral: “Good. Keep an ear out.”

Captain: “We have a transmission from our birds on a secure frequency. I’m patching it through”

The transmission is put over the speakers.

Pilot: “This is Vector Three Niner, we are on final approach to the drop off spot. We are currently 700 miles from target and will drop our payload at 650 miles. T minus 4 minutes and 25 seconds till drop.”

G. Admiral: “Roger that. You have a green light for payload drop. Fire at will when you’re within range.”

After that, he got a resounding ‘Acknowledged’ from the planes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Barracks of the USS Starcher, the Secret Special Ops team known as the Ghosts plans their method of attack. They sit around a small table with a map on it.

Ghost Leader: “Alright. We are to be topside on the deck in 1 hour so lets make this quick. We’ll be using sniper gear for now till we receive our next orders. We are to be brought, via a MH/UH-1A1 Super Huey to a point 50 miles inside our allied boarders. From there we are to travel north to a road that has been secured by allied troops. We will eat rations when we get to this small command post just in case we get hungry. After that we are to travel 4 miles north and then go directly toward the boarder. When we reach the boarder, we are to take positions near a small road that the Nazi’s are using as a supply route. We’ll observe their movements and report that back to Allied Command and the ship. While we are there, we will wait for further orders.”

Ghost 1: “All right Team. Lets go.”

Ghost Leader: “One more thing. We are to bring small targeting lasers with just in case they try to cross the boarder; we are to target them for a strategic missile strike from aircraft. Lets go Ghosts.”

All Ghosts: “Hoorah!”

At four o clock this evening, the Union of Soviet Socialist Hogsweatian Republics has declared, that the nation of Hitlerreich, is here now and will be until Hitlerreich is able to govern itself as a sovereign state, a Soviet Sattelite State. The Soviet Union is increasing it's strength in Hitlerreich, as an additional Naval Rifle division is moved today via aircraft into bases in Hitlerreich.

The USSHR advises Hitlerreichian citizens not to resist. The USSHR will assist in the rebuilding of the Hitlerreich nation into a free republic.

Hitlerreich
As the twenty thousand extra troops began to pour into the country, they moved into the cities to fortify them. A brigade of the Naval Riflemen stationed themselves in each of the main cities of Hitlerreich, including the capital. Soon tanks will be able to enter Hitlerreich and so will artillery to defend the Soviet Colony.
As the first company of Hogsweatian soldiers entered hitlerreich, they raised the Hogsweatian flag above the town hall.

Incoming Transmission From Kaiser Martens

Kaiser Martens stood there in his Reichskaiser uniform, the Flag behind him and "Deutschland Über Alles" softly sounding in the background.

Greetings Gentlemen and Lady, I've heard of the peace proposition and I find it quite agreeable as long as we can have our own piece of Hitlerreich, to rebuild and administer. We however would like to avoid such things like seen in Berlin - the wall and all that business - because it could very well trigger more bloodshed.

I would keep a decent yet moderate amount of my Reichswehr involved to control the territory. We will not build any walls, iron curtain style. You may, if you want, but that is against my principles, really. You do not need to worry about a new Hitlerreich dictatorship ocurring. As much as the people of my lands are not allowed to choose who rules them, they have Very Good civil rights - I am not an opressor. And, once the situation is under control we'd slowly give the people their political liberties back. Just, got to rebuild the place first, along with the beaten up Thomasien.

Think about it. We can make it all stop - this is much better than a continuous full scale war, I must say.

I hope you accept. The Hitlerreichers have suffered too much. - Then the Kaiser bowed his head lightly - Until then.

The transmission then faded to black as the music's intensity grew for a moment, until both ended together.

As soon as hostilities are confirmed to be over and peace has been restored, the Republic will downgrade its forces in this Theatre of Operations to:

One Armoured Brigade
One Infantry Division
One Tactical Airwing.

I understand what you mean Sir but I must say we are not asking for much.
Check this map: The blue line is the Thomasien Line and the black line represents our current limits (Approximately) of places we've occupied.

http://www.geocities.com/kaisermartens/euromap2.gif

We have no more ambition than that and I must say I'd never go into a war to get anything more, simply because the major losses of men involved in retaking Hitlerreich would simply not be worth all the deaths. Also as you can see the only important city we'd like to have is Dresden.

As for the rest of Germany, I do not care how you choose to split it up if you will. Once this situation is over I will keep a proportional amount of troops, so that none of us has offensive capability due to equal numbers.
If the map is okay I'd like to set up the border there so that it is clear to everyone.

Another reason why we are claiming that piece of land is because many of those who fled to my Land were from Dresden and it's whereabouts, and basically none of those people is moving back if it doesn't ends up in German control - they fear you.

I get your point, but look, if I wanted war, I'd have already gone for it. I just want to get my chance to help part of the Germans living in what used to be Hitlerreich. I beleive that such thing should not be denied neither to me nor to them.

Be well.

-------------

The Martens troops remain in standby, watching the borders he had proposed carefully. However, the strong and main pieces of the army stay behind, because Martens does not wants the enemy to beleive he'd foolishly try something. Some of Trondelag's new devices are installed but not close to the border (They're detection sytems. Not offensive)

Oh, I'm the most sorry. How could I forget such an important detail.
I will send them in Opel Trucks escorted by a group of Reichswehr regular medium infantry soldiers, 6 hours from now, carrying a white flag. Where would you like our men to meet? Just set up a point and be sure to let everyone know, I want no accidents.

You'll see I treated almost all of them quite decently. My POW camps are not Auschwitz style. Also we have 3 corpses, of men that did not make it for one reason or another. They've been put in fine coffins and are to be delivered as well. Should you check the corpses you'd see how no damage was dealt aside from the battle's, which was what killed them.

--------------

If others post their own "pieces" of the former Hitlerreich I'd be glad to mix each part into a better map to show what belongs to who, more precisely, and put it in some site for reference.

The Empire is most greatful for the cooperation of Kaiser Martens and to hear that our pilots have been treated well. We regret the loss of life, and will bring with us seven pine coffins containing Martensian troops who were killed by Cottish bullets. They have been treated with respect. While the Cots are ferocious warriors, we treat all dead with respect. Friendly as well as enemy. The bodies have been washed and cleaned up, and dressed in their cleaned uniforms. The names of those killed are:

Dieter Schmit

Peter Brochwald

Heinz Trüber

Walter Archstein

Nils Gass

Heinrich Büchen

Otto Heindrich

They will be handed over at the border crossing on the west side of the River Elbe tomorrow at 0600 hours. We will be present with five Humvees and three 2,5-ton trucks escorted by 40 Cottish soldiers. Thank you.

The trucks and soldiers advance onto the position at the indicated time, carrying the Cottish soldiers there and receiving the coffins with the Martens soldiers.

Although the Martens soldiers stay alert they are not to try anything against Cotland. When the exchange is finished, they return quietly to Dresden and the dead are shipped for their families to have.

Martens sits calmly in his desk at Dresden, then he waits for Skinny's meeting point to exchange the POWs, while starting to arrange things so to rebuild the city properly.

Heroes buried yesterday.

COTLANDSTAD (CFP): The dead pilots returned from Kaiser Martens five days ago was buried at Meirly Military Cemetary yesterday with full military honors. The funeral was attended by the families and friends of those dead, squadron comrades of the dead, Emperor Thomas, the government and the Chiefs of Staff. It was a beautiful and dignified funeral, in which the pastor spoke of the military's duty to maintain national security and the dead's role in protecting that security. Emperor Thomas also spoke of national security, but also of friendship and peace.

The dead, Lieutenant Colonel Harold Jones, Captain Terrence Paisly and Captain Randy Miller were killed in a dogfight by Martens' forces two weeks ago when their planes were shot down over Martens. Lt.Col. Jones and Cpt. Paisly's B-2B Spirit was hit by four missiles, and Cpt. Miller's F/A-22B Raptor was shot down at the same time and place when attempting to distract the missiles from the B-2.

The military have not released any more information regarding the mission, due to national security reasons. Still, they have said that the Cottish planes shot down "a good number of enemy planes" in the same engagement. Regardless of the reasons for the engagement, the three dead pilots died a hero's death protecting Cotland, and shall be remembered as such. Cottish Free Press wish to extend its condolences with the families of the pilots. God is with them.

The Cottish forces of the 1st and 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion and 1st Armoured Battalion entered the city of Hannover under the cover of darkness in the middle of night, assuming control over the City Hall, police stations, airports and train stations. At 0630, the first patrols were out in the streets. Armed soldiers with orders to crack down on anything that might be seen upon as looting or otherwise disturbing the peace. Several lists of names of high-ranking officials in the former regime was discovered and teams sent to apprehend them on charges of warcrimes.

Military forces about to enter the house of a warcriminal.

Several people started to take to the streets, but were quickly disbanded by the Cots and sent home. The following message was sent out to the public:

"This is a official message from the Imperial Cottish Army. We have assumed temporary control of this city, awaiting free elections which will be held three weeks from now. Untill then, a state of marshall law shall be in effect. The army will, in conjunction with the local police, keep the peace. A curfew will be in effect between 2000 hours and 0800 hours. Anyone found outside between then will be arrested. Any attempts to attack the Cottish soldiers will be answered with gunfire. Make no mistake: We are armed and not afraid to use our weapons if need be. We are setting up checkpoints, and everyone must carry with them photo-ID. If such ID is not present when you are stopped, you will be arrested. Demonstrations are not allowed, and if any demonstration takes place, it will be dispersed using any and all means necissary. The Cottish Army practice a zero-tolerance. That means that it doesn't matter how much you beg. We will not yeald. This have been your first and final warning. Thank you for your attention, and have a nice day."

The people was shocked. They were occupied, even when their leader told them that that would never happen. He had lied to them, and the Cottish Army was going to use that to the full.

The POWs are again exchanged this time with Skinny at the marked point, before the SSLSKM heads home, leaving only the regular Reichswehr to take care of the assigned land, which are still a good force.

-----------------

Allright then, excellent To ensure peace I'd like to sign a pact, so that if any of the four nations controlling what used to be Hitlerreich attacks, plus Dostanout who I beleive has Ostmark, the other ones would be then forced by this pact to stop them dead in track, literally.

This pact would effectively prevent any offensive from any of the sides, ensuring peace in the land.

-----------------

The Reichswehr remains in standby but most of it is preparing to leave, only a piece proportional to that of the other parts of the former Hitlerreich staying behind "just in case" - but the soldiers anyways are not to remain idle, but they are also to help rebuild that part of Germany, which is to be renamed "Süd-Bayern", for organization purposes.

The Reichswehr starts then to build a simple border marking non-continuous low fence, with signs every half kilometer, only for informative purposes, using GPS to mark it as accurately as possible.

Following the Cotlandish Governments decree to the citizens under its control, President Martin has decided to make a speech to be transmitted to all citizens in the former Hitlerreichian territory now under Republican control:

"This has been a violent and turbulent time for all of those involved in the fight against the nation of Hitlerreich. Now that the armed conflict between Hitlerreich and Allied Forces has ended, you will find yourselves in Occupied Territory, under Republican jurisdiction. As such, this territory is no longer Hitlerreichian, but is now under the name of 'The Republican Territories of Hitlerreich'.
Very little in itself will change for you now that we have taken over this area. Life will go on as normal under peacetime conditions; however, all Hitlerreichian organisations are now banned, as is the Hitlerreichian flag in this area and all armed forces in the area are advised to report to the nearest Republican Barracks to surrender your arms and be repatriated.
Republican Peace-Keeping forces will be in this area for several months, until a new democratic government can be elected by you, the people, and then they will leave. Until such time, these forces are to obeyed at all times, and any offenses commited against them will be considered capital crimes and punished accordingly. No such actions will be tolerated, and hostile forces will be hunted down and executed.
Finally, a War-Crimes Tribunal has been set up to locate, capture and prosecute all known War Criminals in this territory. Large bounties are to be issued for the location of these men and women, and detailed lists will be issued accordingly. Anyone found to be aiding these Criminals in any way will be summarily executed without trial unless overwhelming evidence is found otherwise.
Life will go on"

The first week progressed relatively peacefully. Three major demonstrations had been attempted, but each had been stricken down by the military quickly. A total of 4100 persons had been arrested, and approx. 100 demonstrators had been summarily shot in order to establish an example for the people to follow. Rumors swirled around that the Cottish forces were leaving soon, and that the area would be handed over to the Republic of Skinn87 or the USSHR. Never-the-less, the Cottish flag still flew over Hannover, Düsseldorf, Bremen, Emden and Essen, and Cottish military forces were in the area.

OOC: I would be more than happy to take control of your territory, but the final decision is Hogsweats, so I will await his decision.

Edit: Over IM, Hogsweat has kindly allowed me to take over the territory. Thanks.

IC: The Republic thanks the Cotland government and its military for its valiant efforts in the war against Hitlerreich, and willingly takes over the territory vacated by Cotland Forces. As such, more Peace-Keeping forces will be moved into these new territories:

One (1) Infantry Brigade
One (1) Mechanised Division
One (1) Tactical Airwing

Total: 30,000 troops

The total number of forces in the Republics territories in Hitlereich number some 65,000. This number will be downsized once a new government has been elected.

The Kaiser sends good fundings to rebuild all the damaged areas and improve them even, the soldiers helping actively, food also arriving so the people will not starve. At first things are going to be pretty strictly control, but gradually the Kaiser gives them more and more freedoms. Only a part of the Reichswehr remains to ensure peace in the land.

Industry is reactivated and boosted, so that Martens can make some profit out of the situation while giving the people work, without exploiting them mercilessly though.

"Our top news tonight comes from Western Hitlerreich. President Martin, citing the stability of the region despite a recent increase in bombings and snipings of newly-elected government officials, has announced that four divisions, 50,000 troops, are to return home to the Republic after serving their time in the country.

In the press conference, President Martin said that the troops would be withdrawing and, unless anything vital came up, would not be returning, placing the burden of control on newly created Western Hitlerreich military and police forces. That leaves only 15,000 troops in the country, although the President stated firmly that 'Under no circumstances will Republican forces entirely leave the region and allow it to reunite with the tyrannical regime of Southern Hitlerreich'"

"My Fellow Shazbotdonians, and viewers around the world. We are not declaring defeat, we are stating that the current nations in the region can handle the Nazi scum from now on. We regret that we were not able to help those nations that much, as we did not reach the region in time to do some major help.

We are though decreeing that our forces will be redeployed to the Asian Theater where the Taiwanese Islands are attacking the Brittish Empires Colonies due to their King's Ban on Anime. The 1st through 5th Fleets are to be deployed near the Brittish Empire's holdings to help defend them. They will, if needed, launch Super-Sonic Cruise Missiles to military targets within the Taiwanese Islands to help weaken the defences of that nation for the Brittish. This will only be a Naval Exercise till i decide to bring the newly formed Marines into this conflict.

I ask that the families of the Naval Officers that are being redeployed say a prayer for their loved ones as they take on the SCUM that threatens the national soverignty of the Brittish Empire. Thank you for your time, and God Bless."
