Hallad

The Liberation of Bahrain was a neccessity. The Kingdom posed little threat to Hallad, or Hallad's assets, but was another bothersome little nation in the Middle East. Right now there were two types of nations in Middle East: those who sided with the Socialist power Hallad and those who sided with the Capitalist nation New Zambuda. Bahrain was no friend of the Worker's State.
It began with the assembly of a small group of marines. Only a division of Red Marines would be involved in securing Bahrain. A regiment of bombers would lead the initial strike, and a regiment of MiG-28 Flounder A's would destroy the Air Force of Bahrain while it was on the ground. Four Submarines would be in charge of destroying the enemies fleet.
After a week of assembly, the force was ready to strike. The MiG-28s took off with no problems, and were armed with AS-X-20 and AS-X-19 missiles. Both were upgrades of the AS-20 and AS-19 Soviet missiles. Each of the seventy-two planes carried five of each missile.
The mission went of swimmingly. An estimated eighty per cent of their airforce was destroyed and ninety-six per cent of their anti-air capabilities, and only one Hallad plane was destroyed. The bombers took off as the MiG-28s turned around. They were all Tu-95 Bears, armed with free falling bombs. They attacked two known army bases, and then the rest of the SAM sites. Escorting them was a regiment of Su-36 Imperator As. The Su-36's destroyed the scrambling enemy air force, taking five cassualties. One Yu-95 was also shot down.
The men boarded various craft as they prepared to move across the bay to the unwelcoming beaches of Bahrain.
