DCU Telemarketers Attack

It was another day at the office. Another day of rambling on the phone. Another day of spewing the same rubbish over and over. And another day of rude responses, unbridled hatred, and a plethora of angry "clicks" as the person on the line hung up. Thus was the life of the telemarketer.

Employee 03301 couldn't help it. Hell, he had enough trouble remembering his real name most of the time, much less call anyone with real intent of malice. As he walked to his cubicle, among a veritable sea of them, he pondered to himself. Not on anything profound. To be completely honest, it wasn't even something interesting. He was simply considering what he wanted to eat for lunch today. He would eat a cheese sandwhich from the cafeteria. Just like always. He knew that. Even so, he pondered.

As he sat at his desk, really a tv dinner table, he stared at the phone before him and a small note taped to the desk. The phone was a faded cream color. The note was the same hue. Upon it was written a simple message.

"International telemarketing will commence immediately. Learn Russian, German, French, and the tribal languages of Africa."

Employee 03301 blinked.

Throughout the office building, thousands of employees began this new task. In hundreds of buildings throughout the DCU, competitors were keeping pace.

ooc: Resistance is futile.
