A Very Fickle Mind [ATTN: Mississipi, Communist Louisiana]

The Macabees

The policy after the cease-fire with the Kahtan regime was to drop away from the war due to storm clouds elsewhere, however, it became quickly apparent that such an uneasy peace would be impossible and if left for later any victory against the Fabus line would prove itself to be elusive. The policy from the onset of the war was to destroy the Fabus line completely and it the Macabee administration, namely Emperor Jonach I, became aware fairly quickly that placing the jackboot of the Macabees on Kahta wouldn't solve the problem. So, even without consulting the ally, the Second Empire decided to commit itself to a second strategical front, while Momanguise continued the war on the first strategical front, Kahta. The Second Empire would focus on the bigger fish, Communist Mississipi and the territories it owned on the United States mainland. For such an operation, however, more care would have be taken than what was taken for the Kahtan operation, and the Emperor was very willing to take his time for the preperations. Jonach I was an ex-general, he knew full well the consequences of a poorly planned military operation. Thus, Jonach I and his General Staff decided that it would be for the best if a buildup ensued in Communist Louisiana, Mississipi's neighbor, and Fabus Island was completely skirted for the initial operations - although there would be operations to smash the island for logistical reasons.

Already, some two million men, placed under the banner of the IADF, were moved into Louisiana, and deployed along the border of Louisiana and Missipi, ready for the green light to move in. However, that wouldn't be enough. Intelligence pointed towards a manpool of over seventy million men in Communist Mississipi, and thus the Second Empire would need enough men to completely destroy this army - or whatever fragments of it existed in Mississipi. The Second Empire had the advantage when it came to grouping. Communist Mississipi has spread itself thin, it's empire reaching into Egypt, Western Sahara and South Africa, as well as pockets here and there in the United States. So, the Second Empire would crush these pockets, cut off from each other, one by one, until the Mississipian Empire was destroyed. Then it would carry out severe political reforms and leave - there would be no or little territorial gain in this war. Skirting the eastern half of the Gulf of Mexico hundreds upon hundreds of merchant ships and transport ships, protected by the task force that used to be in the north, and the screen of one hundred Toledo class SSNs and the sole Leviathan class SSN, were carrying a total of no less than five thousand of the brand new MMA-A3 Falcon (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=20&mforum=macabeestorefro) air superiority fighters and eight thousand of the older, but still strong, MMA-A2 Hawk (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=16&mforum=macabeestorefro) air superiority fighters. Moreover, three thousand MMA-A1 Kondor (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=17&mforum=macabeestorefro) low altitude strike fighters were being deployed in Communist Louisiana for air raids, in the event of war, and with these five hundred MMA-B1 Eagle ground attack aircraft, and some two thousand MMA-C1 Albatross (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=19&mforum=macabeestorefro) heavy bombers, and at least fifty Hypersoar bombers. This huge air deployment was the largest overseas deployment in the history of the Second Empire, yet military analyst still thought it severely outnumbered by the Mississipian airforce in the area. To stem this there were around five thousand Praetorian V surface to air missile batteries spread across the border as fixed batteries, well concealed from both sattelite and ground observation posts, and six thousand mobile Praetorian V surface to air missile batteries to protect any moving columns of troops - or at least that's what the envisioned deployment was when it came to the air war. The two million men just arriving in Communist Mississipi would be further bolstered to a total of ten million infantry - by far the largest ground deployment ever in Macabee history - at least thirty thousand Panzer X Ausf. B Muwattalis (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2&mforum=macabeestorefro) main battle tanks, five thousand 155mm KriGud (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=4&mforum=macabeestorefro) self propelled artillery systems, sixty thousand 155mm artillery guns, and ten thousand Incinérateur 155mm Rapid Fire Artillery[url] guns. There would also be two thousand Panzerwerfer 300mm rocket launchers, which were completely mobile, and enough trucks and armored personnel carriers for complete mechanization. The infantry were completely armed with their [url=http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=5&mforum=macabeestorefro]Aloysius Combat System (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=6&mforum=macabeestorefro) armored suits, and carrying the conventional Macabee ordnace for infantry, including Javalina anti-tank shoulder launched guns, mortars, a varied amount of MANPADs, machine guns, and other accessories - a very murderous load out.

Perhaps the most important fact was that a huge stockpile of weapons and other logistical requirements were being stockpiled in rear echelons in Communist Louisiana, mostly underground to avoid bombardment. Enough was being stocked up in order to ensure that the Macabee opening drive would have enough behind it to ensure a long term operational life for the army, although it was doubted that Communist Mississipi would be able to cut off Communist Louisiana from outside convoys - the Macabee navy was sure to guarantee that. The original task force had been bolstered and split into three, Carrier Task Force 1 (Task Force Battleaxe), Carrier Task Force 2 (Task Force Warhammer) and Carrier Task Force 3 (Task Force Jackdaw), each one composed of three Rommel class Battleships (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=7&mforum=macabeestorefro), five Model class Aircraft Carriers (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=9&mforum=macabeestorefro), thirty Manstein class Destroyers (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=10&mforum=macabeestorefro), twenty Seydlitz class Cruisers (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=8&mforum=macabeestorefro), twenty Clauswitz class Frigates, forty patrol craft, three Raus class Escort Carriers, four tankers, and one hundred other assorted shipping. Thus, six hundred and seventy five ships found themselves arrayed in the Gulf of Mexico, with a triple ASW perimeter around them, proper AWACs and a proper CAP, to protect them the infamous fleet protection the Macabees were known for - making the small fleet extremely powerful, and very deadly.

Another important aspect were the one hundred Toledo class SSNs (http://www.createforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=11&mforum=macabeestorefro) which were forming up in the Gulf of Mexico, soon to be reinforced to a total of two hundred submarines, and the single Leviathan class SSN (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=398377), ready to install the blocakade of Mississipi within a words notice. The single Leviathan would be reinforced by three more of its kind, the HESS-402 Respite, HESS-403 Armaggedon, and the HESS-404 Agammemnon, all equally as powerful. The Mississipians, in the event of war, would find themselves hard pressed to regain control of the seas. Equally as grave was the fact that the three surface task forces held five hundred souls on board, and about one thousand tanks with proper self propelled artillery and surface to air missile batteries, for other operations.

A fourth task force, with the same numbers as the other three, Task Force Crusader, was heading with one million infantry, two thousand tanks, one thousand Praetorian V surface ot air missile batteries, three thousand KriGud self propelled artillery guns, five hundred Panzerwerfers, and other accessories, ready to stop one hundred and fifty kilometers off the coast of Georgia, with a triple ring ASW, proper AWACs and proper CAP patrols in the skies - making it another very protected warband.

While Momanguise continued in Kahta the Macabees would be hunting the once hunter...

General-feldmarchall Ludwing von Heiberschnall poured over the maps of Mississipi along with five of his best generals. They were Generalobersts Adolf Leichmann, Michel von Trustwest, Siegfried von Trescklow, Heinrich Breschel and Ostman von Leigsterdt, commanders of the 1st Infanteriearmee, 1st Panzerarmee, 2nd Panzerarmee, 3rd Panzerarmee and 4th Panzerarmee respectively, making them quite a powerful force and only a miniscule fraction of the actual leadership arrayed on the border of Mississipi. The Field Marshall turned to his subordinates and saluted each one, followed by a formal salutation back. He nodded and began to adress his generals, "It seems that we have completed the build up. It is quite a feat that an Empire such as ours has been able to amass so much in so litte time, yet still remains extremely outnumbered. No matter, however, as I still believe in our utter intelligence when it comes to war, and our abilities to outwit and thus destroy an enemy, and I think that that is enough to win this war. No doubt, though, that this conflict will be long, and will carry us beyond the borders of Mississipi, and to the sandy beaches of Egypt and the Western Sahara, and even beyond the United States, such as Georgia and Tennesee. But, our first step to a complete victory would be the taking of the enemy capital - that is Mississipi. Once this territory is taken the leadership falls and the rest can be completed piecemeal at our own leisure. But for now all of rests upon you and your ability to break through their forces and destroy them in Mississipi. Can you assure me of this like I assure you of your capabilities?"

Generaloberst Michel von Trustwest nodded and reassured his general,"Without doubt herr general-feldmarschall I assure you of a stunning victory by my panzerarmee. The flanks of our enemy shall crumble under the weight of our mailed fist - that you can count on. They can outnumber us tenfold and we shall still rise victorious."

The Field Marshall nodded and smiled. He was very pleased. He had commanded the ground forces in Kahta, but that war had come out almost without any advantages for the Empire, but now that Jonach I had decided that it was within his right to attack the lands of his true nemesis, Mississipi, the Field Marshall could finally gain the infamy that he always wanted. von Heiberschnall was there to make a name for himself and ensure him in the history books, and volumes upon volumbes of biography and such. He would get just that - how so could not be forshadowed and in what side, either victor or looser, was as of yet unknown. Only fate could tell anything - fate and God.

On the front the gigantic array of soldiers and mechanization had decided to deploy in tiers in order to provide strategical depth to any offensive or defensive operation. Moreover, the trucks and tanks were ordered to turn on their engines and headlights every night, for the entire night, in order to unnerve the men on the other side of the frontier, and to make sure that the Mississipians could not really guess to when the offensive would take place. The infantry were itching for a major war and were cleaning out their guns daily to make sure that they were ready to kill themselves the "pigs" who took residence in Mississipi. Signs littered the front depicting the words, "This is the entrance to the lair of the fascist beast." It took a whole new dimension of the war, and made it seem more like a modern Ostfront where the war was ideological and both sides shared a common hatred of each other - a war in which death was the only means of escaping hell...

[The Play]
Leutnant Barns Freidmann took another good look at his pistol, Mississipian made, and at his team of twenty men, all garbed in Mississipian armor and armed with Mississipian weapons, wearing dogtags with Mississipian names and Mississipian papers. They were still on the Louisiana side of the border, but that would soon change. Freidmann turned to his sergeant and merely commented,"Funny what we do for crazy leaders huh? You would think we would just decided to say no, but instead we willingly agree to act that can only be surmised as an indirect suicide."

The sergeant chuckled, took a look at his lieutenant and replied,"You really think they'll kill us?"

Freidmann became vexed and hotly answered, "Son, you have no f*cking clue what our government is capable of."

The entire team fell silent and prepared for a small scale operations schedules for four days from now. For the days leading to the event they would study their schedule step by step to make sure that the operation, dubbed operation LINK, would come out perfectly...

[OOC: Bah, my mind is very fickel indeed - after putting massive input into outlying my strategy and areas of strike I've decided to not go into this RolePlay because I'm not in the mood for it - and the only way I'll RolePlay well is if I'm in the mood. Consequently, assume that all my men and ships are being recalled back home.]

Wow, this went on for 5 days without anybody TGing or IMing me, no wonder I didn't even see it to have a chance to reply. Hell, since nobody even bothered to tell me, and I had to find out by chance, my first reaction was going to be a big IGNORED, but hey, I'm just going to go on as though this never happened.

Anyway, if you wanted to press the issue, I would just used nuclear weapons, because RL constraints would keep me from adding a major RP to my already massive RP list.

Anyway, deploying millions of men in the blink of an eye is something called wanking. I may have a large army, but if you note, I only deployed about 300,000 soldiers into Kahta, because I like to keep things realistic. I honestly don't know much about your logistical support and transport capabilities, but moving 10 million soldiers will probably take most nations months, certainly not days, possibly even years.

[OOC: Well the ignore would have proved your utter ignorance because these troops had been deploying over the span of, as you have said, five days, and any offensive into your territories would have been commited at the end of the week, making it about a week worths of waiting time - making it completely valid. However, as most people have already pointed out to me, your incapacity to take a loss, your total godmodding when it comes to RPing (as your MiGs prove), and your inability to behave in some civilized manner have all been factors in my decision to not role play this war.

However, I would like to make some points. First of all, to mobilize millions of men over the time span of years is utterly stupid. The cost of that would be tremendous and insane. In any case, the Prussians were able to mobilize about 1.4 million men within four weeks of their declared belligerence against France in 1870 - so, it wouldn't be farfetched for me to assume mobilization of these men. Moreover, these men have been mobilized for a month already due to my declared crusades against Kahta which had been developing for some time. Ferrying them over to Communist Louisiana would not have taken years, let alone months - so drop the issue because it makes no sense.

Two, nuclear weapons? Um, and see your entire nation completey razed? Fine by me..while I have assets bordering you, including a fair sized fleet, your are thousand upon thosands of kilometers away from me, meaning your ICBMs won't even reach and your space assets were to be neutralized, according to plan.

In any case, I'm glad I called this off - I already forsee the hell I would have had to go through in order to go through with it. I rather spend my role playing abilities of those who can return the favor.

Lastly, it's not my fault you were totally oblivious to this thread. I took cares of posting when I knew you were on, especially when you were posting to those conference threads of yours, consequently, this thread was in the first page when you were on - not my fault, but yours.]

When I do searches to see if my nation name appears in the forums, to keep an eye out, I never search for "Mississippi" I either search "MS Federation", "VoteEarly", "Decisive Action", and that's about it.

Hey, we're on each others IM lists, and my TG box is always open, don't make excuses.

I can't catch every thread that comes along, and I ought not to be expected to.

Also, and the Franco-Prussian war lasted how long again? Weeks! Not years, a war with the MS Federation would last decades, how could you support 10-15 million soldier so far from your homeland for that long a time. And hell, 5 RL days for me is rarely even 1 NS day, right now I'm RPing so slowly to get up to a point where I can RP about 1 day = 1 NS week.

I'm not on somebody elses clock. I can take a loss, http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=341353

I'm not going to spend hours citing all my major losses, and no I don't godmod my way out of things. I RP for fun. You sir, have lost my respect for suggesting otherwise.

[OOC: Actually the Franco-Prussian war lasted two years, and moreover that's exactly why I was deploying on allied territory - expecting major supplies from him.

And perhaps a war with you would have lasted decades through your own mind, but I think not.

wait, wait, and you're saying 5RL days isn't an NS day, but yet you say one RL day is equal to one NS Week..so, those 5RL days would have been five weeks, and on top of that, since I was planning to write up the invasion on Sunday it would had been eight days, meaning eight weeks, meaning two months. More than enough time - more than enough.]
