Continuation of the Cottonmouth-Virginina Combine Re-Armament Project, Harpers Ferry

"It is with much pride that I unveil to you the first weapons that our nation has exclusively masterminded. We assure them to be completely state of art, as they are based upon many years research and testing with other modern day firearms."

-Jason Malone, Cottonmouth Small Arms Development Manager

Jason went to the tables which had been set up, and opened the first case.

"I introduce the new Carbon-15 Assault Rifle, capable of a controllable 750 rounds per minute. We have cleverly tweeked this guns ballistics to the point where it fires with excellent accuracy a large array of calibers. Available with it are numerous different silencers/suppressors, sight systems, and magazines (STANAG) which are made to fit up to 100 rounds (Double Drum)"

He set the weapon back into the case and opened a different one.

"Here we have the M-100 Pheonix Paratrooper Carbine, which has a unique area in the stock of the weapon which allows for two extra ten round magazines to be stored, or one 20/30 round magazine. It accepts standard STANAG mags. We have given it a fire rate topping out at 800 rounds per minute, and bidpods are provided to allow a role of light support weapon. Various muzzle attachments and scopes are also available for this gun."

He set the gun back in its case, and reached for the last one, which was rather large.

"Finally, we have the SR-1 SASR which stands for Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle or Special Applications Scoped Rifle. Its modular stock, along with the heavyweight barrel has allowed us to hone in the MOA to just .7. The integral muzzle break acts as a jump compensator, improving rapid-fire precision in follow-on shots. Loading and cocking mechanism can also be operated manually, a feature which is especially useful on stealth operations. Obviously one of our finest sniping weapons."

With the introduction concluded, the team then went on the the actual demonstration of the new weapons along with the MAC-10 Submachine guns and Galil ARM assault rifle.

Sun Ray, Atlantic, and Militec are all sub-corporations of the actual Cottonmouth Industries. All weapons introduced here are not for sale. The rights to them are retained only to the members of the Virginia-Combine Re-Armament Agreement, and to whoever else deemed viable by the better half of The Cottonmouth. The specifications of the weapons, which will be released later on, are to be considered Secret IC. Thank you.

Featherston clapped and said, "Mhmm.....I am impressed! Seriously, I like these guns, they're the most original and cool guns I have seen in a while."

He then said, "Could I have a spin?"

Extra cases were then brought out and set upon the table. Jason and a couple of the other engineers had already opened the large boxes and were loading the weapons with fresh ammunition.

Jason then turned to Featherston and handed him the Carbon-15 he had loaded, and said "dont have too much fun". He smiled and began loading a Mac-10.

Featherston put some hearing protection on, got some watermelons set up, and then proceeded to blast away at them.

He then put the gun down in a safe spot, and yelled, "Woo-hoo!"

Jason stuck the clip in the Mac and pulled back the bolt. He screwed on the large Sionics suppressor and retracted the stock.

"You can take you ear-muffs off for this, sir" he said.

He aimed at the watermelons and started shooting. Two seconds and two bursts later, the 32 round magazine was completly empty. He expertly ejected the magazine with hand and loaded a fresh one which he had pulled from the specially made harness on his belt. He then handed the gun the Featherston.

Meanwhile, a blanket was laid on the ground and on top of it sat the SR-1 rifle, with advanced Harris scope mounted on it. The gun was loaded with .308 Lapua Magnum shots, contained in a 24 round box magazine. Laying next to the rifle was a rather large silencer, which was special made and could be screwed on over the integral muzzle compensator.

Featherston said, "Cool."

He then called for: "More Melons!"

Some more watermelons, sure enough, were set up. Featherston then proceeded to reduce them to bits with the MAC-10.

He smiled, handed the gun back, and said, "I love this gun. I am definetly keeping this as our standard SMG."

Jason had known Featherston would be impressed with the Mac.

"Sir, we have the SR-1 ready" said one of the engineers.

"Very well" said Jason.

Featherston followed Jason over to the sniper weapon test area. "Here sir, you take the first shots.. lets see what you can hit" Featherston chuckled and laid in a prone position behind the rifle. Suprisingly enough, Featherston knew how to cock the gun, and before Jason knew it Featherston had fired a first round.

One of the engineers, who was watching through binoculars, replied "Direct hit".

Jason laughed, and said, "Feel free to try it with the silencer anytime sir".

"Sure"

Jason signaled to one of the engineers who then removed the front muzzle break and screwed on the large Reflex suppressor.

"Try it now" Jason said.

Featherston then fired the rifle again, and was amazed at how quiet it was.

He smiled, for indeed, this was quite an impressive gun.

"Well?" Jason asked.

"Whether or not you agree to buy the weapons, do you think they are worthy of being contracted to the military as The Cottonmouths main firearms?"

Featherston said, "F**k yeah. I'm buying these for my military, and these might do well for yours....I think I answered your question, I'm not sure."

"Well im glad you are satisfied, as a gift you can keep these weapons and the ammuntion we brought." Jason said.

"My development team is more than happy to stay and help you with your production plants, they even brought design blueprints for the weapons." He said.

OOC: Im considering letting MassPwnage produce private, stamped versions of these guns, under some conditions. He will be producing them in his own nations calibers.

Here are some more pics of the Carbon 15 rifle, since the one I produced may not be a good view:

Jake smiled and said, "That would be nice, thanks. We might actually need the aid for setting up the plants to make these new guns. Harper's Ferry, Norfolk, Danville and Charleston need to be retooled ASAP, we'll need the help."

the RoFs are a little high for small arms but not out of range of some near future (next fifty years) tech. However lower RoF's (maybe more like 500-600 Rounds PM) are probably more adviseable for small arms, for one thing it's cheaper, for another it's more ammo efficient and contributeds to longer lasting clips in combat situations (always a good thing as any soldier will tell you) and for another their's really no reason you would ever need such high rates of fire in small arms in a combat situation.

otherwise theysound good
