Well, 39mm was the AKM/AK47 length.. although, I don't advise the troops to use it on full auto ;-) hell, there are fifty calibre machine guns :-)

Never! The L85 is racked with problems my rifle does not have. But, I digress. Consequently, L1A1 > All

Bahah! Pffft, I customed the specs for this. Note the 25 round STANAG, single shot and full auto.

It seems a nice rifle (halo 2 aside) reliable, ergonomic, and with a well proven operating mechanism.

But... it also is slightly heavy for a weapon of similar size & material (which may have been intentional to contain recoil energy) but why a 9.5x39mm? Russia (IRL) has a very effective Subsonic Semi-Jacketed exposed steel core round in 9x39mm (aka SP-6) that has effective penetrating range (up to 2mm of steel plate) at 400m, and up to 8mm at 100m. You could just design a HV or +p/+p+ round with less of a logistical strain of introduceing a new cartridge.

Then theres the problem of loseing effective close fighting manuvers from chooseing a bullpup over conventional layout.

but then again Im just ranting...

Would it be possible to rechamber the weapon to the 6.8x45mm round?
Hogsweat

Aye, it would. What I meant by rechambering to 7.62 soviet was that you can do it in the field easily.

I dunno, I Just liked the 9.5mm from Halo :-)thank you for being honest that really makes my day ^_^

So many of these endevours people take any form of questioning or consturctive criticism as a personal attack where in truth its no where near such a thing. But even through all that you admit the truth... it makes me feel better knowing theres atleast one well adjusted nation still around ^_^

Looks good, although it is the gun from Halo 2 by all means. I myself design my own guns, and I also still use the 5.56 x 40mm NATO rounds.
