"It has come down to this. We watch idle as the world is polluted by the ignorance of the Christian right! It has been too long are families are forced to worship a so called "pure god." We watch day after day as christ is prised and we are cast out like slaves, no more shall it go on! They are the scum of the universe, they raise themselves above us in attempts to force us to their will! No more! The Reich will crush all of those who stands in it's way, each and everyone! Jonathan read the newspapers when he heard the news. He hated living in Verstummelung, and he wanted to go home. But then, the pay was exceptionally high working here. He was worried that soon the fascism - and persecution - would turn to members of his religion. After all, was not Jesus Christus a shepherd? And the God is a shepherd, at least according to his doctrine. And the underlying message of love and peace is the same in both religions. He started to pack within the hour, and had his train ticket before the day was out. He wanted to check on his grandmother too, she wasn’t feeling too great either, and he wanted to be with her.

Although Intellectual Paradise lacks the necessary manpower in the army, Verstummelung, we send a message of support and offer all we can to your noble cause.

In response to the nation of Verstummelung's aggresive, war-mongering actions, the Confederacy of Lachenburg has offically activated 200,000 active duty forces and have put 100,000 reserves on alert as well. Furthermore, the production of Armored Vehicles, Artillery and Aircraft shall be stepped up to the primary concern of manufacturing.

Nikolai Paladin, Divine Emperor of Holy Sheep received the news within a week. Several ex-pats in Verstummelung had come home quickly. Once a member of the flock, always a member of the flock, as the saying went. He walked into the office of the Assistant of External affairs, Elaine Aurora.

“Verstummelung has decided to become anti-Christian. We need to send a strong message. We shall tell them to cease and desist, and get a Legion ready to ship out.”

“The fourth Legion – its fresh out of the crib, although trained. Then the fifth will be sent if we need it, and after that, the sixth and third. And we are the only ones opposing this so far? No support? Bah, so many fools are in the world!”

“The wording of it should be??? I hired you for a reason.”

“Be strong, but careful to not be harsh. Do not mention our build up, of course.”

**OOC – There is no bugging tech yet right? So this is unknown to everyone. Do not act as if Holy Sheep is gathering its armed forces – although you could figure it out by looking at our train schedule changes. But you wouldn’t know what port they would gather at. **

Four purple-wearing Imperial Guards entered the room, followed by four Strategoi of the fourth through seventh Legions. “Well, are we going to deploy into Verstummelung?”

“Their army outnumbers ours, somehow, although they are much too highly invested into infantry. Their aero-force is weaker than ours, which we can exploit. We also have more ships. But no, we will not deploy unless they make any hostile government action against the followers of the Christus.”

“In what capacity must the government of Verstummelung act??” The Strategos of the fourth legion asked.

“Should they dislocate them, then we move. If it is just restriction of rights, we will just embargo them.”

It has come to my attention from returning Ex-pats that you are trying to impose a harsh doctrine of anti-Semitism upon your people. I ask you to cease. I will ask all nations who stand for freedom to embargo this fascist Verstummelung nation, and I will extend my and my noble countrymen’s arms to fleeing Followers of the Christus. I will also ask you to leave foreign Christians alone, seeing as they are not your citizens, they are entitled to all the rights of any citizen of a foreign nation upon your soil. I ask that you forget this foolishness, and come to the light of acceptance of others.

CC: Holy Sheep Communiqué Service, as well as Government Radio stations across the Theocracy. This message has also been distributed to the other nations that follow this nightmare.

Highest Minister Norris Hunter, leader of the Commonwealth of Jagada sat in his leather chair and looked at a Situation Report, given to him by an aid. The Empire of Verstummelung had declared that they would stamp our Christianity. Norris leaned back in his chair while setting the paper down. Jagada was a very sympathetic nation to Christians, infact many of their laws were based around the morals of Christianity. About that time, both the Minister of Defense Charles Wett and Minister of War John Willington entered the Highest Minister's room.

"Sir, we have a situation," said Charles.

"Yes, I'm quite aware of Verstummerlung's aggression," said Norris.

"Of coarse sir, then you should also know that we cannot simply stand by while they conquor each Christian nation," said Charles.

"Highest Minister, I advise that we moblize our forces, if we do not then we may be caught off guard," said John.

"Hmmm...I agree," said Norris, "Though, what can we contribute?"

"Sir, I advise we at least moblize the 1st and 3rd Divisons, perhaps keep the air force on alert?" said John.

"Then let it begin," said Norris.

As the two nodded and began to walk out, Norris spoke back up, "You do realize, that if we loose this war gentlemen." Both nodded grimly and continued on.

Norris Hunter, High Minister of the Commonwealth of Jagada, stood before a massive crowd gathered at the greatest government building in Jagada, the Jagada Keep.

"It is my most regretable duty to inform you, the people of Jagada. That our young nation is faced with a force who seeks to destroy not just our country, but our religion and way of life. This we cannot allow. This foriegn force is known as the Empire of Verstummelung, and her allies. I am fully aware of the task before us, this empire and her allies armies far outmatch ours, so do they on economy. Though, we as a nation cannot idly sit by and watch has these forces go to war against our Christian allies. We must stand against them, and we shall."

Telegram to Jagada, from his Divine Highness Nikolai Paladin:
I throw my support behind you. Should you be invaded, know that my legions shall march and swim to your aide. Know that if we have to carry an offensive, we shall fight through mountain and valley, field and forest, until the genocide-mongering fascist is dead.

Telegram to Intellectual Paradise, from the Assistant of External Affairs Elaine Aurora:
We are most definitely not a true nation of the Christus. Many of us follow his teachings in the entirety, and many more take at least a few to heart. We are not preparing for an offensive war - what we are planning is for a defensive war beside Jagada, as so you do not try to invade him. We most definitely support freedom of religion - that was one of the tenets of the revolution that swept us up. We stand for true freedom of religion – the right to worship who ever you wish, whereas, you, do not. You wish to create genocide upon the noble followers of Christus.

Both telegrams were published in all Holy Sheep newspapers, and were read on all radio stations. Both telegrams were sent to Jagada - whereas Intellectual Paradise only received the one addressed to him.

I response to the rising call to war, the Confederacy of Lachenburg hereby declares complete and absolute neutrality in the coming conflict. The following terms are in accordance with the declaration:

1. Any foriegn military vessels located within 20 miles of Lachenburgian shore will be siezed and the crew, along with the cargo shall be detained in the nearest Lachenburgian port. Their crews will be given room and board and will be able to wander within the city limits from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If the ensuing conflict occurs within the boundries of our territories, Military assets of Lachenburg will detain all foriegn combatants until a agreement has been made by a diplomat of that nation(s).

2. All Merchant vessels are permitted to enter and leave Lachenburgian ports, but other types of unarmed vessels must obtain permission from Lachenburgian authorities and pay a docking fee of 10,000 USD per week.

3. Any foriegn military air asset flying over Lachenburgian territories will be designated as hostile and may be shot down. We highly suggest that foriegn pilots adjust their course around Lachenburg. If a foriegn pilot attacks Lachenburgian assets over Lachenburgian territories, a full and through apology must be delivered to Lachenburgian authorities within 48 hours and the pilot who commited the aggresive sction must be punished in some fashion. If these two actions are not met, the Confederacy may feel inclined to join the enemy combatants of the foriegn force in question.

These rules shall herby go into effect by February the 20th and shall remian in effect for the duration of the conflict, unless attacked by a foriegn power.

The Autonomous Holy District announces Neutrality.
We have decided upon this because we have no Christians within our borders, and other nation’s affairs do not concern us.
1) Any ship that is not an ally of our parent nation that enters our borders will be fought off

2) Any ship that is an ally of our parent nation that enters our borders will be detained. The ship will be possessed by us, and the crews returned home. We will sell or use the ship as we see fit.

3) Any ship that is owned by our parent nation, aside from merchant vessels, will be returned, and all of our men within any Legion will be taken home, should they wish.

a. After that, our parent nation’s ships will be treated as per 2.

b. Any and all Merchant ships are welcome. No ship may fire upon ships entering our borders. However, a tariff will apply to all goods, payable upon docking

4) No military units may enter our borders, aside from the Seventh Legion of Holy Sheep that is assigned to us currently. When their tour is over, no re-placement Legion shall enter.

5) Any Christian fleeing a genocide will be welcomed into our lands, permitting they convert. Should they not wish to convert, they shall be sent into the Theocracy of Holy Sheep proper.

6) Any aeroplane that is of a military build will be shot down, unless it has been authorized to skim our borders by us.

7) Should any part of the AHD be attacked, we will join with the force opposing the nation that assaulted our person.

8) This will take effect when signed by Nikolai Paladin, and will last until we decide.

This has been signed by the Holy Shepherd of the AHD, and his Minister of Defence, and the Minister of External Affairs. This has also been agreed to by his Divine Imperial Highness, Nikolai Paladin.

Do not take offence at the AHD. They are mostly bluffing, although they will possess over any ship that enters their borders – and sell it back promptly. Do not offend them, they have a history of rebelling against me and other Divine Emperors – and if I have to use my Legions to stop a rebellion, those Legions are not defending our interests.
Footnote by Miss. Aurora - Should, Rebeled Elves, Intellectual Paradise, or Verstummelung try to tempt the AHD, they will join with us, and we can use their ports. But I doubt it. AHD will not care what happens as long as any true Sheep can worship the Holy Shepherd.

My penguins are of no specific religious orientation, and religion recieves little support from the government, however my citizens are allowed to practice their beliefs as they see fit(so long as it does not interfere with others) and I object to those who would enforce otherwise.

My nation has an incredibly srtong and industrially orientated economy, a high military budget and utilisies mass conscription.

Out of the 187million penguins 140million shall march to war for the religious cause and I will call any willing allies forth. The structure of my army will be revealed at a later date, although i can reveal it has a powerful airforce and mechanised army although i have no real navy(penguins see little need for one) I also have a few aircraft carriers(these were around in WW1) though they will require the protection of an allied fleet or a freindly dock close to the enemy, this is my sole condition of support.

Whats more my penguins are elite, fiercely patriotic, moderately well armed and many will be be taking suicide bombing roles, some pilots have also volenteered to join a small kamikaze force.

I request to know who has taken overall command of our side.

OOC - The AHD, or Autonomous Holy District is a small part of Holy Sheep that is semi-independant. When Holy Sheep converted to a democracy, the AHD opposed, and is thus still a Theocracy. See my Map at NSwiki.

We Request to know, should we become fully involved in this war, what we will receive upon victory. As you may know, we are vastly outnumbered, and this is quickly becoming a risk that seems not worth it. While we support your cause, we need to know whether this is worth the risk.

I appreciate Penguins joining in with us. I have mobilized the largest force – some seventy-five thousand troops and one hundred thirty two combat ships, compared to twenty two thousand, thus I ought to have nominal command. But for now, we just need to appear strong. Do not overtly threaten with your phenomenal forces. I do, however, suggest that you leave enough men behind that you do not cripple yourself.
