The synapse Slithers off, Mith can no longer hear the Hive.

A Muscle Sliver slithers up. Mith Glows for a brief second and becomes ripped with Muscles. She Looks like she could tear trees apart like twigs. Her skin also Hardens like a rock.

"This is a Muscle Sliver. As its name implies, It makes other slivers Stronger. When near a Reactor sliver, it also makes them go at speeds of 75Mph.
I also forgot to mention, with the Synapse and a reactor, your Telepathic and telekinetic abilites are tripled in strength and range. With a Winged and a Reactor, you can fly at Mach 10, with a Space and a reactor, Warp 10." Lady Warfare said.

In the little lull of silence, Mith can hear the Queens call that keeps Slivers from becoming killing machines. It is a joyous song that has a calming effect. However, it is so quiet as to almost not be there.

A -- Mith, this has got to be a first. I know you've got endurance from running up and down that Temple all day every day since you were ten...but that much muscle mass...

M -- Indeed. *she listens to the Queen's song* It sounds like a lullabye I heard once...can't place it, though.

The Muscle slithers off. Mith deflats like a baloon back to her normal self. A shifting Sliver slithers up. Nothing intresting happens to Mith visually, except that a Blind bird Flies right through her only to get eaten by a bigger bird 100 yards away.

"This is a shifting Sliver, other Slivers near it can go through solid objects, when near a reactor, it can stop prevent things from doing what it can do." Lady Warfare said. Ten Slivers remain Slivers remain in a nearby Field.

M -- So basically it causes other Slivers - or me - to phase shift.

"Exactly" Lady warfare said. The shifting Sliver slithers off. A blade Sliver sithers up. Mith's nails grow long, hard, and sharp, much like a dagger growing out of each finger.

"This is a blade sliver It causes other sivers, or you, to have realy sharp Talons, except you get ten of them, Slivers only get a pair. When near a reactor Sliver, you can take its energy, and fire off phaser energy from your finger tips." Lady Warfare said.

Mith examines her new nails. "Interesting...not really useful for my line of work...but maybe fun, on occasion."

"I completly understand. Remeber though, the more blade slivers, the sharper the nails." Lady Warfare said.

The Blade Slithers off, Mith's nails return to normal. A ward sliver slithers up.
Nothing at all happens.
"This is a ward Sliver. one alone can immunize you against any one kind of energy. but only very basic forms. More Ward Slivers equals greater protection. When near a Reactor Sliver, that Immunization turns into Reciprocation." Lady Warfare said.
After a full five seconds Lady Warfare asks as her hands crackle with energy:
"Would you like a demonstration?"

M -- Sure, why not?

"Okay, but everyone must remember, she did agree."Lady warfare said.
Lightning crackles, The Ward sliver pulses for a second, as does Mith, her skin appears rubbery. Lady Warfare shoots a Lightning bolt at Mith, It bounces off over Couger and Renor's heads into QuickSilver Sea.
Lady Warfare's hands stop glowing. The Ward Sliver slithers off. An Essence Slithers up. everyone starts feeling much better than they did five seconds ago.
"Mith, as you are a healer, you identify closet with this breed. These are Essence Slivers, They Are Natural healers. You really don't need their help, seeing as you're already really good at healing, however, their natural Healing Energies will stack with your Healing abilities when they are near. You see, Essence slivers natural produce an energy that causes wounded creatures to heal up quickly. When their near a Reactor Sliver, given enough time, they can cure Anything, and cause lost body parts and organs to regrow. Think of them as weak wizards potions without the pain." Lady Warfare said.

Mith nods. "I can understand this breed better than any yet." She looks at Warfare, an almost humor in her voice. "Any chance I could take a couple to Mithdelmar for a bit?"

Cougar watched in amazement,"Incredible that a race such as this evolved. it is indeed a marvel of the galaxy"

In a serious tone:"Yes you may. You may also take a few other breeds if you wish."
The essence Slithers off. A crypt Slithers up.
"This is a crypt Sliver. The point of death is a fine line, some nations can come closer to it than others and still return, Slivers can actually reach across that line under certain conditions, and resurrect the recently deceased. all by themselves, there is a one hour limit, near a reactor, it increases to 24. They are always seen in the company of essence Slivers, much like space and winged slivers. they cannot always reach across that line, like for instance, with the queens death, no matter how hard they try, they cannot bring her back. I will not demonstrate this ability here to day, and hope you never have need of this ability." Lady Warfare said in a serious manner.

I did not know that. There is so much I do not know of the universe, and magick is one of those things that does not naturally come to humans

But the Black Flame is unlike almost every other form of magick, bar the Fieros. You say some of us have talent? In all my travels, I have never encounted another human with ablities similar to mine

Rn -- Some forms of magick only appear once every few centuries. There are records of this "Black Flame"...the most recent from about five hundred years ago.

The Toxin Sliver slithers off. An Acid Sliver slithers up Miths nails go from a pale sickly green to normal to a bright yellow. Both Mith and the sliver are slowly dripping Acid, the Sliver from its talons, Mith from her nails. Each drop makes a hissing sound as it strikes the surface.
"This is an Acid Sliver. Its acid is strong enough to eat through most metals."

"Ok, so I misinterpretated slightly. And I must thank the Silver class... Anyway, Kaymiril, Kaymiril*pauses as if searching memory* Ah yes: The Queendom of Kaymiril: Founded more than a thousand years ago by a mage of extreme talent. Her name was Kaymiril, and she is an ancestor of Anna's. It is from her the nation gets its name.

The Mistform Turns into an intresting cross form between Mith and Anna and walks off. A young plated Sliver slithers up. as does a young hunter sliver. Simultaniously, Mith Grows a sit of Thick, Strong, durable sliver scales, and her Senses grow super sharp.
"The brown one on the right is a Hunter sliver, finest hunters in creation I'd wager, once they get your scent, theirs no shakeing them off. The Light green one on the left is a Plated sliver, Breed to withstand the Razorgrass fields, they can also withstand several bullet types from Guns. A Sliver Slithers up this one is Glowing bright orange.
"Ahh, and here is a reactor Sliver. These Slivers store great amounts of energy intheir bodies for the other Slivers to use. they can also make explosens with their energy." Lady Warfare Said.
At that moment, The Reactor, hunter, and Plated all freak out. Sniffing the Air, they can actually tell what this area looked like at any one time in the past, within the previous five days. In their minds Eye, they can see the Vizzerdrix chase that ran through here Yesterday. Mith can see this as well. At that moment, all four of them also turn to living metal.
"What? What's this? It must be a secondary abilities!" The Reactor shouts.
"I'll be right back, I am going to consult with the Tower of fortunes. I was not expecting this." Lady Warfare said.

OOC: Don't worry, everythings okay. I'll tell you more Icly in my next post. This is all of Miths' Sliver abilities though. Kay, I know you said ICly that the origanel creator of the Gliders died, and his knowledge went with him. You said this to couger over in the White Tower Thread. This is your chance to regain that knowledge. Do you want it? If you do, While I won't give you the person himself, I will give you his mind, in book form. I must know now though.

OOC: He actually made notes and junk...and it would be more than a little painful for Anna to have his mind in book form. The inventor was her younger brother, Prince Enais. He died when she was eighteen...he was only seventeen, and he'd already invented a half dozen things, and was working on others. They managed to complete the inventions from his notes.

"Alright. As it turns out, The hunters secondary ability is to visualize any area as it was within the past five days, or equivelant there of. They must be there though to get the scent. The Plated Slivers secondary ability is to turn Scales in to Pure steel, yet still keep other breeds moving. thus, you are impenitrably, except by something really sharp, such as my gunblade. Couger however, could stand there shooting you all day for target practice and the only thing you'ed feel is boredom. Thats all the Breeds, there is a breed of capitol sliver, but you are unable to share their ability. they can grow to gigantic porportions and fight Space ships out in deep space. Now, I would suggest ypou take the time and learn how to fly while you still can. I know you may not do it very often back home, but even still, I would feel better knowing you knew how to use your wings." Lady warfare suggested. The three slivers Slither off, The winged sliver retuns. Mith resprouts her Wings, and they Refold.

He took her hand,"Thanks for this chance. Maybe I will find out why the Flame exists. Just out of intreast, do you know if it followed a blood-line, or was random"

Rn -- It appears to be random...Renor had me research what I could find of this "Black Flame"...but any individual that had it was said to be exceptional. What they mean by "exceptional," I do not know.

"So that's how he learnt of it. Interesting. The last person in our history to be recorded as having it was an exceptional schlor. I am widely acknowledged as an exceptional solider, not meaning to sound big headed or anything." He noticed Mith, and smiled at the wings, "This should be very interesting to watch. Shall we?"

Rn -- I can help, Mith. *muttering a spell, she retakes her half dragon form. Leaning into the wind, she beats her wings and takes off. She hovers just above Mith.*

It'd probably be easiest to take off from levitation.

Cougar settled down to watch Mith learn to fly, with the help of Rhenna, Very cool he thought to himself, and closed his eyes, deciding to watch via his minds eye

Mith levitated herself to about five feet above the ground, then released the spell, and beat her wings. She hovers there a few moments.

"Most slivers Simply Coil themselves up spring up into the air and Start Flapping, when near a cliff, most Prefer to dive head first. As you can tell, Slivers do not have legs so this is necessary. The dragon is right however. If you can Levitate that might be easiest, however we must assume that you cannot and that no one else can, so their for, since you have two fine Legs, You can either jump, or Flap right her on the ground." The winged sliver hissed In common. The the Sliver coiled it self up, and jumped about ten feet up, flapped really hard a few times and then started flying in circles, waiting for Mith.

OOC: Perhaps a Jump and Flap? You make up a way, however, the slivers are grading you on this. Mith should be a bit unstable at first and the usual. Like a bird learning to fly for the first time. I'll help you though :)

After Mith Got Air born, the Sliver spoke again.
" The first thing To work on, is flying in a straight Line, without wobbling. Lady Warfare will make a series of Rings getting progressivly smaller, when you can fly through them all, with out touching them, we will move on." the Sliver says with a scottish accent. Lady warfare creats a series of Rings, a Mile long, each one smaller than the last, until at the last one, Mith would have to fly through perfectly straight.

Cougar watched for a few moments, then turned away. As he walked down towards the ocean, he revelled in the smell and the sight before him.

"This'll be hard for you, Mith...you don't have a counter balance like a tail."

Unsteadily, the Gray class Mage gathers speed, and flies through hoops, weaving an erratic course. Rhenna flies above and around the hoops, and with each progressive hoop, Mith's course becomes steadier. She somehow manages not to make contact with any of the hoops, even the last one. Personally, she feels that it was a bit late to be learning how to fly, at seven hundred years old, but whatever...

OOC: We must assume this for when she must concentrate on other things with her powers.

Lady warfare waved her hand. A long series of rings appear. Some simple left and right turns, others were simpl up and down. Then towards the end there were left and up, and down and right, and various other hard turns.

Mith tries this next challenge, Rhenna keeping pace with her. It's quite a sight, the young mage flying around the old, making sure nothing happened.

Mith gains better control of her wings with each passing second, though.

Cougar turned to watch, and was impressed by Mith's quick learning,She is truly worthy of her position.

From here to there, you will find an Expert set of rings, some of them straight awayes (awaies?), others a series of hard turns. we will all be waiting for you at the other end, Rhenna may follow you however for safties sake." the sliver said. Gold Rings appear stretched out over the horizon. Just over it, was a big island.

Mith and Rhenna wing through the course, and eventually touch down at the island. Mith's wings fold back once more. Then, leaning into the winds, she takes off again. Rhenna and Mith struggle back through the winds, but manage it.

300 posts before I could even get back to the Thread and everything is already done. Too bad I work weekends and had to do the Snowbirds (Writing parking tickets for the City at $15/hour due to Snow Emergency) otherwise I might have gotten in at least one post...

Should I even bother typing up a post about the membrane thing seeing as everyone already continued and finished the RP in three days?

OOC: Sorry I didn't know. I thought you would get back on late at night like always. That's why I did that. Go ahaed, but, post it like your remembering what happened. Think of it as a flashback. I would be intrested in hearing how you beat the Physicic Membrane that never existed.

And Warhaven...essentially, if I'm correct, the Royal Jelly turned Mith into a "colorless sliver," at least as far as abilities go.

OOC:True, but OOCly, there is the chance that she will develop into an Essence Sliver, as far as abilities go. Mith is the very first Non sliver for this to happen to. Oh, and Lady warfare also gave her a scroll containing the nature and description of each Sliver, their abilities, and how it effects her, to Mith. Now, since I will be RP'ing the slivers that she is near, just ask me OOCly and I will tell you. I will deal with the Essence slivers going to Mithdelmar at the white tower thread.

OOC: The thing about this is...Mith doesn't have time for a relationship, so she's not going to ever have kids. That and she's a bit old for that. But now I want her to have at least one, just to keep the ability going through the bloodline. Mith is married to her work, in the closest sense possible.

And she already shares most of the Essence Sliver traits. That's the magick she was trained into. Although, she also shares a lot of the abilities of the Toxin Sliver.

It's hard to compete with several posting every 10 - 15 minutes. I don't want to sound like I am complaining. If you waited for me nothing would have been done. I am just a hinderance in this situation.

Here is my reply to the attack. I just composed it in first person and as if it were happening now.


IC:

Galvenor was flying along with the others, relying upon his own natural abilities rather than the material forms the others were using. Suddenly the red-hued storm encompassed everyone. It took a moment before Galvenor noticed the others were having problems with their gliders. The engines sputtered loose power. They began to loose altitude and fall from the sky. Galvenor turned to see if he could help before anyone got hurt.

Suddenly from his side he felt an assault. It came in waves as he was taken by surprise. Something attacked him and he felt as if he was hit by a truck. Luckily his Mental Shields snapped into place to prevent the Death Blow that was aimed at him.

Looking around he quickly located the attacker. Hovering near Galvenor was a creature, hidden within the rust clouds. Splitting his mind into three compartments, he designated one to act as the defender and the other two to act as the aggressor. He then quickly launched an attack. He struck with a Mental Blow, attempting to stun the creature and with the third mind, he attempted to clear the cobwebs caused by the partially successful attack.

“What the Hell are you”

The creature ignored him and whorled around for another attack. Galvenor could feel the psionic energy gathering as the thing began to launch another attack upon him.

Galvenor steadied his Defensive Aspect and the attack slammed full bore into his shields. His Mental Shield held strong. Energy from the attack leaked into the visible spectrum, appearing as if there were lightning flashes within the rust storm. As the light faded, Galvenor stood his ground. His outstretched hand slightly glowing from the energy flickering along its length.

“He he, you don’t know what you are dealing with. Whatever you are, you better get out of my sight before I decide to take your actions personal. I know you don’t want to do this. You are being forced because non-sapient animals do not possess the levels of psionics you have. If you have sentience, you also have free will. You are not bound to do what you have been commanded, you are free to leave. I do not wish to destroy you but I will if I have to. You have been endowed with Psionics but I entirely exist as a Psionic entity, and have been for a couple thousand years. ”

The creature hesitated a moment, fighting the commands that smothered its mind, flooding it’s free will with its own. The creature lost the battle. It flew into a rage and threw itself at Galvenor. Galvenor’s other hand flew up and a visible blue barrier sprang into view. As each attack from the creature struck the barrier, it briefly flashed a brighter blue.

“I also have another advantage over you. I am not only Psionic, but I am also a Mage. I am considered a master in several disciplines in both areas. While you are spending all your energy trying to hurt me, I have been saving mine. While you are acting under the control of something else, I can use my abilities the best way I have learned through the years of mastery. Don’t say I never warned you.”

With that Galvenor began to cast a spell. As he uttered the incantation, an energy coalesced around the creature. The creature disappeared into another pocket dimension where it was made to wander a labyrinth.

“There, the Maze Spell will hold him for at least a few seconds. That is just enough time for me to prepare for him to return.”

Accessing a part of his ability he really didn’t like to use, he waited for the creature to return. After a minute or two the creature appeared as expected.

“I give you one last chance to leave. My next attack will not be one of inconvenience, it will be fatal and final. You have been warned.”

The creature hesitated and Galvenor was actually hoping it had decided to leave when a strange look flashed across its face as the Artifact regained control of its mind and attacked.

It hurtled a massive psionic attacked, backed by the rage stirred by the Artifact. The energy struck Galvenor and was absorbed. An ebony energy aura grew and spread out from Galvenor. The darkness sapped the Psionic energy from his attacks and from his mind itself. The energy passed from the Aura into Galvenor, acting like a power boost.

“You have been warned twice and now you shall pay for your choices.”

The energy aura leapt from Galvenor and surrounded the Creature, draining it of psionic energy. Galvenor’s eyes glowed with a purple-black hue. The Psionic Vampirism he activated continued to siphon off the mental energies of the creature. Galvenor shaped the stolen energy and fed it back upon the creature in an attack aimed at its mind and personality. The attack struck home using the creature’s own energy to break its shields. Once inside he activated his Mindwipe ability. The creature’s mind began to disappear as its memories were erased. After its memories the personality was next. When everything was done, there was nothing left but a mindless vegetable.

The empty shell fell through the rust storm into the quicksilver see below. Galvenor disabled the Psionic Vampirism with a shiver of revulsion. He truly hated to do that. He was glad it wasn’t a comrade.

All the abilities I used are listed in the GURPS Psionics and the Maze Spell is a cannon AD&D spell for many years.

OOC: GURPS! GURPS was fun.

OOC: Very, Very Good. I don't know if Galvenor could actually physically be hurt by a Supernova or not, but, since everyone was there when the Sun above The Battle Field of the Gods blew, Lady Warfare sheilded him witrh her body, much like everyone else. Not that it mattered, because that destroyed the Mirari/Death/Warfare thing and caused time to right itself again. everyone went back to a point shortly before the queen died, including the Queen, who was cured of the none Final egg Making Curse subtly bestowed upon her by Death, and, as everyone was dashing from tower to tower, she was busy procreating her Daughter. Slivers are asexual. Thus, She had her egg already made, when she went back to the time of the curse, as a dying reaction, all slivers automatically lay any Eggs that can be laid. The Queen is a tough old sliver however and managed long enough to pass on her unique abilities to her daughter: The Call, Genes, and Megaton.
