Cowlquape stepped down off the podium and wiped his forehead nervously. He hoped people would come to his aid, he hoped that people would see the threat that this nation posed. As he was escorted from the building and driven home, he pondered his actions.
Was that the right thing to do? Should I have declared war? Should I have hoped they went off the idea? I haven't ever declared war before, and I don't plan to start now, but if we're provoked....
The convoy stopped outside his house and he was ushered inside to a tv, to watch international reactions to his speech.

The Sentient Computer Programs of Freudotopia disagree strongly with your intention to allow the people of hitlerreich to survive. This is foolish for two reasons. First, the purpose of a blockade is to strangle a government (AND ITS PEOPLE) into submission. Second, the ignorant peoples of hitlerreich allowed a Nazi government to take over their nation. Such stupidity will not go unpunished.

On a related note, the men of hitlerreich should punch themselves in the balls.

The captain of the destroyer ICS Fury recieved the message to make best speed for Hitlerreich, where the Fury would participate in a multi-national task force intent on blocking all communications to and from Hitlerreich.

After a nine hour dash across the waves with an average speed of 37 knots, the 12 destroyers, ICS Fury included, were in position. Noticing a small fishingboat in the waters, the Fury fired a warning shot with its 8" cannon, allowing the crew to abandon ship. Then, they fired a single 'Lance' missile at the fishing boat, sinking it. It might have been a slight overkill, but it was necessary to make the point clear. No-one would pass without permission.

PWS Belgium, Hitlerreich Coastline

Skirting the edge of Hitlerreich territorial waters, the PWS Belgium serupticiously monitored the naval forces blockading Hitlerreich. The Captain looked out through his telescope at the carrier battlegroups but a few miles away from them.

"Do we trade with these people at all," he asked his second in command, a man who usually knew these things.

"I don't believe so, sir. They are a relatively new nation. Trying to develop a nuclear device if I remember correctly."

"Hmmm," the Captain hummed to himself in half-disapproval of what was happening. He turned and walked back aboard his bridge, wearily.

"As you know, the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia is a member of the Anti-Nazi Pact. As you also know, we are currently circling the coastline of a nation called Hitlerreich which is attempting to build an atomic bomb. Due to wars elsewhere and a general lack of resources in our almighty Imperial Navy, the good ship Belgium is the Praetonian contribution to any war that may arise. These are testing times, and I am sure that each of you aboard this ship will do your duty to the fullest," he finished his speech to the ship's crew, and continued to watch the Hogsweatian CBG, waiting.

The crackle of static. The buzz of a radio, and the whoosh of a plane. and another. The NGV Respite launched eighty four of it's interceptor aircraft, off the coast of Hitlerreich, the interceptors coming to their maximum ceiling and descending into Hitlerreich airspace. No doubt the absolutely tiny nation of Hitlerreich was no match for this fearsome formation of hogsweatian military power.

The might of the Imperial Praetonian Naval Flying Corps was also evident. On that day two mighty ASW helicopters were mustered and they began to fly prettily above the waves, occasionally stopping to hover or move up and down, much to the delight of the destroyer's crew, who stopped to gawp and occasionally clap.

One of the helicopters broke away and the crowds dispersed aboard the destroyer. It locked its light anti-ship missiles onto the helicopter and signalled over the radio,

"Foreign merchant helicopter, you are entering a blockade zone. Please submit your helicopter for immediate inspection by landing aboard the Belgium, or turn about."

The other helicopter had something else to deal with. Spotting the Hogsweatian helicopters, it too broke off and headed towards them.

The pilot grinned and pulled back a level, firing a firework into the water below the Praetonian ship. The Two Soviet Marines nodded to eeach other, with a smile, and hung a banner out of the helicopter.

"YOU'VE BEEN N00ked!"

The three Merlin's enclosed around the Praetonian ASW, a Soviet Marine leaning out the side of a Merlin with a pop can, throwing it at the Praetonian helicopter - bouncing off the windscreen.

"Tag, you're it!" The other Merlins quickly dississipated, as if running away.

The pop can bounced harmlessly off the window, but the Pride of the Praetonia state itself was at risk, and no sooner than the Hogsweatian marine had said that, the pilot had whipped his own machine around and was chasing after the Hogsweatians, sporting a small can of washable spray paint.

The Merlin at the Praetonian destroyer did a '360 spin, dizzying the crew inside as the pilot played Richard Wagner's Ride of the Valkryies. he screamed down the radio

The Three Merlins put on speed, and one of the Soviet Marines pulled a mini-UAV out of a box - not usually used for such occasiions he steered it with the remote control and made it do all sorts of manevoues around the "tagged" Praetonian helicopter.

The Praetonian helicopter's pilot nudged up the nose just as the UAV flew past, knocking it off course and into an uncontrolled spin downwards. Meanwhile, he was gaining on one of the Hogsweatian Merlins, slowly, and after a few minutes he pushed his hand, holding the spray can, through the window and sprayed a small purple dot onto the side of the Hogsweatian craft.

"You're it!" He yelled down the radio, before shooting vertically upwards.

Our military, due to another issue that seems to be cooling down, is mobilized.

Despite our youth, the Republic of Deschay would like to lend our support to hitlerreich in the face of a blockade and possible invasion. Our support is mostly in name only but we could think about lending money.

The captain of the Fury looked at the Hogswetian and Praetonian helicopter wirl around. Some of the crew had started to bet on who'd win. The odds were 3:1 on the Praetonians.

During the Night
4 Squads of fighters started from a secret airport near the blockade on their way to hitlerreich airspace

The SPY-4B radar array on the ICS Revenge picked up the incoming fighters, and relayed the message to the rest of the blocading fleet. It also spinned up the 32 Praetonian-designed 'Javelin' anti aircraft missiles carried aboard. "Incoming aircraft, change course and identify yourself or you will be fired upon. This is your first and final warning."

Immediately the Yas'ur choppers were launched, as soon as planes showed up on the radar. The F15i's were launched as well, and circled, awaiting the arrival of the planes. As it became apparent these were fighter planes, they opened fire, and watched as a fireball lit up the night sky, then another, and another.

Not getting a response from the incoming planes, and seing Sanctaphraxian planes scrambling, the Revenge fired off 12 'Javelin's towards the unidentified planes.

The choppers hung back slightly, whilst the Sufa's suddenly spiralled up in an effort to avoid the anti aircraft missiles. One went down though to a stray missile, and another four to enemy fire. Once the missiles had stopped firing they came back down to the other planes level and resumed firing, knocking more out of the sky in a blaze.

The Praetonian helicoptersimmediately veered off and flew away from the rapidly building combat, aiming to land safely later. The destroyer cut sleekly through the water as it moved to assist the blockade forces fighting the planes.

As he spoke two planes came screaming out of the darkness and alongside the choppers, followed by four more, then another two.
"Please fly as we order you, failure to do so may result in death"

The Cottish destroyers had accounted for a lot of kills, but the skirmish had been too intense for the operators to follow. They would have to see the radar transcripts to see how many they had killed. As for now, they powered down the VLS tubes and waited for the next attempted violation of the blocade.

The choppers, high up in the air spotted the trawler, and signalled to it to get away or they would open fire. After a minute, they realised it was unmanned and floating closer to the Hogsweatian carrier. Alarm bells started ringing in the pilots head but he remained calm.

The Stormhornet complied, and the powerful jets started pushing the trawler back out to sea.

The ViZionarian planes continued on, ready to land at the first avaliable space. They knew they would not fair well trying to land on a ship with these planes, and they also knew there would be alot of outrage if they were shot at, too.

Whatever happened, their orders were to begin giving aid to the people of Hitlerreich, and they continued on, obeying those orders.

Also worth noting is the fact that we are well aware you have no WMD, however you are building them, and we must act to stop this threat. Also, I now wish to make it clear, hitlerreich will not recieve any more aid. Anybody attempting to send aid to them will have their planes or ships shot down, no exceptions. The Destroyer, NGV Striker and it's sister ship the NGV Engagement were tailing behind the back of the fleet, which soon would be stationary. The small fishing boat was caught on visuals tailing the two ships. The Captain of the Striker, and the Captain of the Engagement decided on a plan of action - destroy the boat. As the Cottish did they were going to show their power. From the NGV Striker, a single Exocet class missile was launched, streaming it's way towards the boat.

ooc: It sounds more like a cruiser or small battleship. Normally destroyers are somewhere between 150 meters (Arleigh Burke class 166.65 meters, Spruance class 171,6 meters) and 200 meters (my Velociraptor is 210 meters long, and thus a very large destroyer). The ICS Predator quickly started to zigg-zagg, avoiding most of the shells fired from the Thomasian destroyers. Still, some came dangerously close, and the CIWS systems had a hard time trying to lock on to the incoming shells. After a few seconds, the first of 10 'Lance' missiles flew out of the VLS tubes and skimmed the sea going for the enemy. Now it was getting personal for the captain. They had shown the nerve to fire live shells at his ship. For that mistake they would die.

As a result of the decleration, seven B-2A Spirit stealth bombers were loaded with 12 GBU-35 JDAM bombs each and sent off to bomb the little nation trying to mess with the big boys on the block. Within six hours, a total of 84 JDAMs would be hitting their targets, military positions and strategic targets such as factories, oil refineries and headquarters with great precision. Also mobilized were a Nimitz Battlegroup, filled with F/A-18s and F-35s, and ten Greyeye class arsenal ships. These ships, a indiginous design, were filled with 210 Pole-axe missiles each, enough to destroy a country. Ironically, that was their mission. It was bye-bye Thomasian.

The Lance missile carriers an explosive warhead larger than that of a Harpoon missile, a greater distance in a shorter time, but more importantly it carriers advanced electronics systems making the missile more accurate and less likely to be shot down by CIWS fire. This, of course, means a bigger price tag, but money will be saved in the long run as a ship that would previously required four Harpoon missiles to sink can be destroyed with only one or two Lance missiles. The upgraded Lance is equipped with a RAMjet engine, making the missile capable of much faster speeds, andtherefore making it much harder to shoot down.

The Captain glanced out the window as the Ship came into View, CIWS swivelling into view for targets. The bridge rocked as the Bulwark sustained three hits, all to it's hull, as the composites mainly beat back the shells.

The NGV fortification and NGV Bulwark launched their exocet missiles, twenty four from each ship against unfriendly IFF, a total of fourty eight of the powerful anti shipping missile screaming towards the Thomasien fleet.

now the last 20 Fighters of the Thomasian Air Force saw the lost fight and entered Battle.
They fired Armour piercing Rocket at the enemy ships

The barrels of the CIWS of the NGV Fortification spun round and round, targeting the missiles and destroying them systematically. However, the ships were outgunned and two missile hit the Fortification, smashing into it's helicopter hangar and the second slightly below and to the left - hitting the crews quarters and doing a fair amount of damage. Countermeasures and VLS from both ships halted the remainder of the missiles - however, an anti-shipping missile hit the Bulwark and slightly damaged it's LADAR. Both ships fired their Sea Dart anti air missiles, loosing off about sixteen missiles, and a further thirty two Aster 30 missiles each from the VLS, firing about sixty four Aster 30 SAM missiles guided by the PAAMS system at the Thomasien aircraft - about 3 missiles to each aircraft.

The destroyers picked up the incoming fighters, 20 of them this time, and fired off 'Javelin's once they came within range. Unfortunately, the planes had time to fire off missiles towards them, so the 'Discus' defense system and 30mm CIWS cannons engaged the missiles when they came into range. At the same time, a destroyer, the ICS Crazy, sent boarding parties to commandeer the enemy destroyers flying the white flag of surrender. Twenty Cots boarded each ship, heavily armed with Auto-Shotguns, FN Five-seveN pistols and MP-5N SMGs. The leader of the boarding party aboard one of the Thomasian destroyers were a young Lieutenant, 21 years old and arrogant as hell. He walked up to the captain of the ship and introduced himself. "I'm Lieutenant Freud, and I'm taking control of this vessel. If any of your damn idiots of a crew attempt to resist, we will shoot each and every one. Do you understand?"

the aircrafts activated all of their countermeisures to avoid the rockets, however 5 aircrafts werde hit and exploded immediately.

5 of the aircrafts was out of ammo and decided to attack the ships with suicide attacks

Seeing some of the aircraft diving in on the destroyers, the Revenge fired off her 8" main gun as well as her 30mm CIWS and defense missiles. Unfortunately, the laws of physics can't be revoked, and even though the shots hit, so did the plane. The Revenge took the plane directly in the VLS compartment, with the following effect that the ship blew up and sank, killing everyone aboard.

"Sir, we lost the Revenge. She's going down." the officer of the watch reported to the captain of the Fury.

"Any survivors?" The captain was worried that the response would be...

"None sir. They died with her."

The captain fell back into his command chair. The Revenge, a top modern and brand new destroyer. Sunk by a back-washed pityful little excuse for a nation. They would die now!

As two of the planes bore down on the Fortification [assuming they'd go for the weakest ship, and some others would go for the cottish ships] The VLS launched again, sixty two missiles in the air against the suicide planes. The reloaded Sea Dart swivelled round and fired a salvo from it's missiles at the planes also. One however, evaded but was sent off course, smashing down to the side of the ship creating minor hull damage and disabling a turbine.

The commander of the ship raised his hands and answered:

Lieutenant Freud saw the Revenge blow up. When he turned back towards the Admiral, his face was red like a salmon. "You just killed 300 men." Adressing two of his men: "Take the Admiral and lock him up in his quarters. Take the rest of the officers to the officers mess and lock them up there. As for the crew... lock them up inside the cargo bays, and get us out of here. I'm taking the ship a prize."

6 more planes were destroyed and the last 4 of them tried kamikaze too

The lieutenant smacked the admiral in the head with the butt of the pistol he carried. "Shut your mouth and get to your quarters before I shoot you. Please remember that Cotland hasn't signed the Geneva Convention, and that we can do just what the hell we want with POWs. Cotland acknowledge the Thomasian surrender, and will halt all offensive actions. The Cottish naval forces in the area have captured and taken a prize three Thomasian destroyers. They will remain in Cottish custody as a payment for the Velociraptor class destroyer and the 300 sailors that were sunk as a direct result of the Thomasian attack. We are willing to discuss the hand-over of prisoners of war, including one Admiral, taken aboard the destroyers though.

Thanks to a strange natural phenomenon, Hitlerreich has moved to the region of Aryanised Europe and now has several friendly nations on it's borders, thus rendering the blockade more or less ineffective. We thank you for your attention (and our friends and allies for their aid/sacrifice).

The PWS Belgium moved to flanking speed towards the sinking Cottish wreck. The naval signal lamp just outside the ship's bridge was flashed towards several figures seen failing in the oil-filled water, some of which seemed to be on fire, and two small boats were dispatched towards them. Nets were quickly thrown down both sides of the hull of the destroyer as it slowed to enter the wreck area, Praetonian sailors hanging down both sides to try to pick up any sailors trying to escape certain death in the water.
