Today, the President Raslin, in an unusual public speech, declared that in two days a criminal amnesty will be held. There are so many open cases, says the President Raslin, that its a waste of time pursuing most of them. The following terms were given out for the amnesty.
Those allowed to apply for amnesty:
*Commited a crime more than two weeks old.
*Are not currently facing conviction/already convicted
*Do not have a special case asked to not be allowed amnesty by Chellian high courts.
*Are not a minor
*Can prove the crime occured more than two weeks ago
-Any person who presents a crime as such, but is not applicable, will not be charged or filed. Potentials dont want to be scared off.
-The following crimes are possible for amnesty:
*Grand theft auto
*Murder/manslaughter
*Rape
*Extortion
*Drug related crimes(except for trafficking)
*Petty crime
*Others may or may not be allowed, ask your local police station for specifics.
-------------------------
This is creating much uproar in chellis already. Many people are against this, letting criminals go scot free. Others are afraid this is going to only lead to a witchhunt after the amnesty, opening the courts to counts of beligerance and other meaningless crimes. Only time can tell.
