I've got some Ideas that (I think) are new and unique for new earth worlds, please vote on your favoreite idea and it may become the next new earth.
1.) Airship Earth; It's the late nineteen forties with a twist. The world is controlled by self proclaimed warlords wielding their massive fleets of airships. war is a constant and the only thing these ruthless aerial kings like more than crushing their neighbors and stealing their resources is putting down the almost constant rebbelions that result from their dictatorial rule.
Nations are pretty much the same as in the ninteen forties except that south africahas expanded to fill about a fourth of the continent and other african nations have banded together, Russia is divided into about ten or eleven 9or more) seperate countries, the middile east is one or two countries (think maybe, Saudi Arabia and Iran have divided the middle east between them or something), America and canada have also split into various factions.
Every nation has a rebel movement (one rebel group can work in a variety of nations) which is pretty well equipped and trained (probably only a small number of smaller airships if any, they more likely use airplanes)

2.) Earth Conspiracy (Also extraordinary gentlemen Earth); It's the Imperial age of the 1800's and many governments are in their prime, but we all know whos really incharge. Everything from the illuminanti (however its spelled) to little green men and secret cults are waging a never ending secret war in the eighteen hundreds, some of these black organizations have discovered the secrets of invisibility, others Dr. Jekyls lost formulas, werewolves and vampires prowl the streets and the occaional immortal lives across the street.
Go wild with this one, any secretive organization that could exist in eighteen hundreds fiction is welcome, Leagues of Extraordinary gentlemen (though please, not too extraordinary) Iluminanti, Ashashin cults, vampire covens and weewolf packs all vieing for dominance without the general publics awareness
nations are normal mid to late eighteen hundreds, but they don't really matter, it's the secret societies that are in control.

3.) Earth Machines; It's Isaac Asimovs worst nightmare. Humans have created AI and now its a war to see who will inherit the earth.
In the not so distant future, Humans invent the AI and soon find that it as a genius for organization, soon the world economy is controlled by four 'brains (A la Asimov's iRobat and the early Robot series) but soon either a malfunction or malicious intent (Nobody's sure) has caused the brains to go mad, they now believe strongly in survival of the species, the robot speces, amd that humans are just eating up resources better spent on building more robots. technology is post modern/post apocaliptic(however THATs spells) (road warrior, fallout, mad max, terminator, Matrix, you name it)and factions are simple, there are four robot factions that are generaly at war wth each other (North american brain(North America, Central America, Caribean, Greenland), European brain(Europe, some of Western Asia), Asian brain(Asia, northern africa, india and all that jazz) and Pacific brain(Southern Africa, South America, Pacific islands). Human factions are whatever you want, some may even be allied with the robots.
