Today TUC officials, parliament and the President have created the 3 laws concerning nuclear efficiency and how they can help us never be defeated again......

Here they are:

1. 4 nuclear power plants are to be set up around the country to ensure safe, clean and cheap power. Monthly costs for power to each house will be maximum $50, thus taking off strain from our hydro-electric dams.

2. We are going to set up a nuclear development plan which will in 5 NS years (about 4 months, real time) have produced our first nuclear weapon. All funds will come from our trade overproduction and taxes. With a nuclear device in our hands it will help make sure we are never invaded again.

3. The nuclear power plants are to have at least 400 guards each, depending on size to protect from protestors and boy-cotters. Any extra energy produced will be sold to help any future debts.

3,000 anti-nuclear protestors have set up camp outside the Parliament buildings demanding that the 3 laws be repealed. As protests are illegal due to a death of an officer the police had to be called in. The hippies fled.

The United Osean States backs Upper Congo's propossal for a nuclear program, and is willing to send our experianced scientists and 5 billion Bills (~8.4b USD, Calculator is not right next to me now) to help fund the project and help from any nuclear meltdowns or "accidental" explosions.

VP warns TUC that they should stop their nuclear weapon program, although we agree completely with the first part of this new law, we are beggining to produce more nuclear power plants already, even though some people have protested.

Any action taken by TUC in a threatining manner shall be taken as a direct danger to VP, and will be acted upon harshly.

VP would also like to announce that to counter this the government shall beggin production of more nuclear weapons, particulary ICBMs and SSBMs.

We shall also look to purchase a newer Anti Missile systems.

The VP Government only loos for war with you because we distrust you. Your threats against allies of our great nation disturb us, we Therefore warn you that ANY actions, or Further threats towards them shall be dealt with harshly.

An estimated 9,127 workers began the construction of the Davex Nuclear Plant in The Upper Congo, only two days after purchasing the land. Bulldozers cleared land, trucks moved back and forth transporting materials. Two SAM sites were set up, and 300 men armed with machine guns patroled the parimiter. A barbwired-chain linked fence was immidietly set up, as were tents and trailors. This Plant was going to be finished, one way or another.

Expect some resistance from the rebels from in the mountains, they prefer good old coal energy. I have decided to send 200 troops and to also send 15 helicopters to hover around the area where we suspect rebel intrusion. By rough estimate if we work the convicts 18 hours a day the power plant will be ready within two NS months and will employ 5,000 people. If all goes well it will hugely profit our nation.

Our first TUC-built bomb is ready, ahead of schedule we managed to make the atoms dance! It took some time but we have produced our most deadliest bomb ever, with enough power to make the American state of Wisconsin become a desolate wasteland for some 10,000 years. It is being improved but is going to be in production by tommorrow...

Research into new nuclear weapons continues, and more money is being poured into developing ever increasingly effective anti-missile systems. Air crews are receiving extra-trianing, and security has been increased dramatically to stop enemy spies.

Any enemy activity within VPs borders on land, sea or air will mean that action shall be taken. More fighter squadrons are being put on alert to be ready to take off and destroy any threat.

new Subamarine squadrons are being purchased, and so are to be two completely new fleets, with other vessels to do other tasks, such as new small amphibious fleets and task forces to make sure that any threat made can be countered immediatly with a strong force.

Satelites shall be watching over TUC and anti-satellite weapons shall be researched t stop any from spying on VP. For now cheap anti-satellite systems consisting of powered metal rods shall be propelled into enemy sattelites and missiles shall be fired from existing space weapons.

The Armed forces shall see a renewed drive for more troops, including longer conscription service and more elite units. The civilian sector shall all receive training in the case of nuclear, chemical and biological attack and respirators/gas masks shall be issued.

The Emergency services shall be getting paid more and all parts of it shall be equiped and trained to deal with enemy attacks. Spending into ALL areas concerned with a cold war shall have more money pilled into to make sure we are prepared.

We shall be ready in the case of an attack, and we shall make sure we never are suprised!

Oh well, i think i'll be the US of this cold war!

The mistrust of TUC was well placed in the hearts of the population, giving the government a chance to up the ammount of taxation upon citizens just that extra little bit without them noticing...

The Military Budget of $3,505,827,736,945.55 was more than enough to get VPs Military of 2 or so % of the population through the year, and well equiped too!

The governemnt though, upon guidance from its military Advisers decided to up Production of the MW-58s Amphibious MBTs, not only were they fast and nimble, capable of working well over the marshes near the sea, but they were also small enough to fit many onto amphibious assault ships in case of an attack on TUC being forced.

The Military was well balanced, it had a large airforce supporting a well equiped army, and the navy, although not that large, was designed to defend VP, and, to attack enemy nations using amphibious capabilities.

With the money being used from previous budgets it was now more than possible that most of the army would be turned into a rapid reaction force, capable of launching strikes in less than 48hours on the ground.

With a heavy sigh, Peter finally agreed. He knew the time was coming for a cold war, and know the status of his country was at stake, we could not be outdone by some pety nation.

Peter left the room with a grin upon his face knowig what he was going to do would ruin VP's economy, it was payback against a snotty brat.
