Liberation of Far Tortuga(Earth II)

The Knight Templars
16-02-2005, 04:30
After months of slow, pointless negotiations, it became clear that the nation of Far Tortuga would not relenquish it's genocidal hold on it's people or stop the sponser of dangerous criminals and terrorists.
"This is a decision no man should have to make." Grand Master Varus Rossal sighed to the council before him.
"Sir, the people of Mexico and Arizona have had to deal with this abomidable situation for months. If anything, you should be scorned for allowing these innocent people to suffer for so long." Lord Gallow berated.
"Watch your tongue, Gallow. You will not bring your warmongering in to this council." Cardinal Glick fired back.
"No, no, he is right. Too long as this situation existed, too long have we ignored it. It is our right and duty to act." Varus decided. "What forces can we muster?"
"Sir, most of the Poor-Fellow navy is still transporting troops and supplies out of our previous base in the Aguascalientes province. They are in prime position. The bombers on the PFS Godfrey have already been alerted."
"Very good. Dispatch them, and send all of the forces in the western hemisphere to the Baja for the liberation." It was the duty of the Knight Templars to protect god's children, he reasoned. Besides, Far Tortuga would make a nice addition . . .

"Admiral, inbound orders from High Command, secure channel is oscar-9."

Admiral Peter Fasture was young, compared to his colleagues. He was only 39, of medium built and was fairly tall. He had dark black hair and wore a standard high ranking naval uniform. It was 2 o'clock in the morning and the admiral was still busy at work. A phone call from command this early in the morning meant bad news. He picked it up and heard the familiar voice of Minister Joseph Mandin.

"Listen Pete, you have to move your fleet and the attached army units to location 1-2-7-5-3-3 effective immediately. I can't say why right now but I'll keep you posted."

"Alright, Joe. I can begin departure at 0900 today."

With that the Minister hung up. Admiral Fasture set the phone back on it's receiver and sighed. He reached for his radio.

"Captain Sorian, please put the fleet on mobilization status, and prepare to move out to 1-2-7-5-3-3 at 0900."

"Yes Admiral."

The Admiral let go of the receiver and heard the distinctive clicking sound as he did so. He ran his hand through his hair and looked at the map across from his office. Standing up he walked towards the hanging map. He checked the coordinates, slowly repeating them in his mind, 1-2-7-5-3-3...1-2-7-5-3-3... Finally he found out where they were heading. Their destination was a location in the international waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Slowly at nine o'clock in the morning the fleet left the familiar sight of Veracruz beach, for three weeks straight they were going to be seeing nothing but the deep blue depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
