Soldiers marched through the streets, disbanding the rioting civilians and shooting anyone with enough common sense to try to defend themselves against the rain of batons and tear gas.
The cleansing of the Reich had begun. Any insurrections, with an ounce of proof, would be "cleaned out" and its followers executed.
Propoganda posters, originally put up during the great "Revolution" during Viechal's reign, are ripped and burned in the streets by the militaristic members of the new government, the Great 8th Reich. Fuhrer Hur IV would not stand for any acts of treason, no matter how small.
The masses of building sides were plagued with anti-police, anti-military, and anti-government posters. The posters disgusted the military soldiers, who ripped off every single last one.

The Fuhrer would not stand for such unpatriotic protests...anyone openly protesting him as the rightful ruler of the Witzgallian Empire would be executed in public, and used as an example.

They are traitors to the Great Eight Reich, and will undoubtedly revolt upon our newly instated government. Any trechery or heratic must be executed before they can kill our Fuhrer, we will not stand for any insurrections against the 8th Reich.

They are not senseless. Any insurrection plot must be stopped before Hur ends up like his predecessor, dead with a bullet to the chest and his assasin on the loose.

You never know. Even if you do not need it for this, if something ever happens like when France rebelled, you may need them. But in this case, you're right, it would be better for armories and barracks.

As of now, with the raging dispute over Xeraph/RWC, as well as the newly established Fuhrer...we cannot allow any foreigners into our country.

Tear gas spewes out of canisters in the streets. People's bones are broken under the pounding force of the metal batons and rifle butts. Civilians are forced into the backs of trucks for treason against the Reich.
A man slaps a poster on the side of one of the trucks and runs off.

The man is stopped by a soldier, who puts a rifle round in the man's forehead. His body is dragged off the street and placed on the sidewalk. People watch from their homes and windows in horror as soldiers beat civilians into submission and drag off their unconcious bodies and push the people who don't resist into the trucks.
