Oslo

"In an unexpected turn of events the National Socialist Government of Guffingford has called of a complete mobilization of forces, going in effect immediately. The forces will be send to defend against a possible Russian invasion. The Augustine Defense Line is built to withstand a Russian blitzkrieg, and unlike the French we have built it on every border of ours. We expect victory of our forces to be sudden and without mercy. All troops of the Guffingfordii United Reich have put on highest alert and we see offensive actions towards us or allies as a direct attack upon our sovereign nation.

We have signed the anti-soc pact with the British Empire to secure Europe from communist oppression. Our national waters and the British national waters can be freely used for commercial and military vessels and aircraft. We feel that this is an important step to secure German and British interests in the area. We warn Independent Hitmen not to tread into national waters of the Faroe Islands or the Cape Verde Islands being official German territory. I would also like to take the oppertunity to announce the pull back of all German vessels near Kahta and the Mississippi Federation, as our own nation risks a direct attack.

All flights to the German Reich have been cancelled, and all acts of insubordination will be met with extreme punishments. All of the German borders connected with or neutral nations will be closed. This measure will remain in effect until the Russian government has signed their unconditional surrender. Any aircraft unable to indentify itself without proper authorization and the extra security checks will be shot from the sky. The conscription process will not be activated but rifles have been handed out to the people of border villages.

Thank you."

- James Frwyhn, Chief of STASI & SS.

OOC: I assume the teams will be like this: Guffingford/Belem/Bob-Bob as the axis and Russian Forces/Independent Hitmen/McLeod03 as the allies. Euroslavia will be the referee.

King George Adresses Parliament.

MY LORDS AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF COMMONS:

"During the past year the forces fighting for honour and freedom throughout the world have gained a most notable accession of strength. Russias treacherous and unprovoked assault on Kazakhstan has spread the conflict of war throughout the Eastern Hemisphere; and has brought fresh danger to My peoples in Asia and in the Pacific. But this extension of hosilities has brought to our side, as comrades in arms, the National Socialist State of Guffingford, who had already long sustained the Allied Cause by their sympathy and material aid.

I share to the full the admiration of My people for the glorious feats of arms of the German forces. In the defence of Europe, which has been a hard blow struck at our enemies, a new chapter of heroism has been written in the annals of war. My Government and My people are determined to do their utmost to assist our European Allies, both by the supply of materials of war and by offensive action against the common foe.

On New Year's Day 2005 My Government signed a Joint Declaration endorsing the principles embodied in the North Sea Charter and pledged themselves to devote, in common with their Allies, their full resources to the defeat of the Allied Powers. To-day a great company of nations are united in their determination to win victory; and their support gives to Me and to My people fresh encouragement in the struggle in which we have been engaged."

OOC: Would this happen to be in a "world"?

Guffingford, you've got 5 links all to the same thing, ;)

I think that this RP could be pretty good, speccially as you've got someone to judge it for you!

(...)Please refrain from posting OOC from now on to all players not directly involved. Condemning and such is ok, just no military support to any of these nations: Belem, Guffingford, Bob-Bob, Russian Forces, McLeod03 and Independent Hitmen. This RP is so closed we barely fit in. And showing off propaganda means lots and lots of posters, hence why I have 5 images linked.

NO MORE OOC.

A Statement from the New White House

The United States Government wishes to show that the dual alliance of Guffingford-Holy Panooly is merely serving to increase tensions that are already close to breaking point. This mobilization is obviously an action to provoke the allies into some kind of counter-movement which will then be used by Guffingford and its axis to initialise a European War.

President Anderson would like to reiterate his calls for both sides to step back and look to a diplomatic solution to this situation.

The President watched the statement being given on his office TV and then turned to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, sitting on the sofa opposite him.

"General, lets get some things moving. By the looks of it Guffingford wont be hanging around much longer before going into RF."

"No Sir, it doesn't look that way. We are going to request that you move 5th Army onto a DEFCON-2 stance within the next 48hrs."

5th Army was the only IH ground force currently deployed overseas and consisted of the I, III and VII Army Corps, all of which were in Russian Forces. They had been working with the Russian Army, commanders becoming even more familiar with each others thinking and operational doctrines.

The same was true of the newly named 4th Air Force, also now all in Russian Forces. They had been training so that IH AWAC's aircraft could guide Russian Fighters and vice versa. Language was a problem, but was being learnt at a remarkable pace, most Russian pilots having an understanding of English as it was the language for airtravel.

As for Naval matters there were ongoing joint exercises in the Med as well as in the North Sea. The latter were mostly involving submarine operations, simulated barrier and barrier breaching, a scenario expected if war did come. Meanwhile the IH North Atlantic, or 4th, Fleet were exercising heavily about 1000km South of the Azores.

OOC: I know you said no more OOC, but can we have a link to the OOC thread plllleeease.

<Royal Palace, McLeodia>

The King stood on the steps of the newly built palace. He wore a plain dark suit as opposed to his full dress uniform. Royal Guardsmen stood immobile on the steps, dark helmets covering their faces. Behind them, one could almost imagine two eyes burning into the back of your skull, looking for the slightest hint of fear that would indicate a regicidal attempt. Their dark blue cloaks fluttered slightly in the wind, revealing a myriad of holsters and sheaths, as well as the legendary Guards Sword carried by each.

Closer to him stood his dedicated bodyguards. The finest eight-men of the Empire. Unswervingly loyal, each was gifted ornate bodyarmour, and one of the Swords of Light, wonderfully crafted blades of blue tinted titanium, more than five feet in length, and priceless in value.

He cleared his throat, and began.

"My fellow countrymen, I stand before you now with grave news. Today, the Fascists to the West have united, and started a serious of massive mobilisations with the aim of unbalancing the peace of Europe. The oppressive regimes of Guffingford, Belem, and Bob-Bob have formed a pact to invade our allies, and gain more room for their genocidal urges. As such, I have ordered that all military units be placed on alert. All passes have been revoked, and reservist commanders will be recieving call-ups for briefings soon.

It seems that there is no longer any way to avoid war with the Satanic worshippers who are trying to drag the name of Our Lord through the dirt kicked up by their jackbooted thugs. The ringleader is the cowardly Guffingfordii leader, who's right hand man is presumably King George, the oppressor of our British brothers. The third member of the axis of evil is the nation of Belem. Not exactly reknowned for their intelligence, I personally think that the national average IQ is probably less than the average shoe size. Perhaps when the Belemese leader can find the light-switch and manages to read his phone so as to comment on these events, we will find that he thought it was a trip to the zoo?

Do not fear, McLeodians. Our armed forces are more than a match for these foolish Nazis, and they cannot hurt us. Even if their cowardly scum allies like Dumpsterdam" the King paused to turn slightly and spit the foul taste of the name from his mouth "and the Merchants Guild attempt to attack us, our own allies will support us. Fear not friends, we shall be victorious, and the Fascists will die the deaths they deserve"

Herald Black Prime Ministers Address to Parliament

I do not propose to say many words tonight. The time has come when action rather than speech is required. Eighteen months ago in this House I prayed that the responsibility might not fall upon me to ask this country to accept the awful arbitrament of war. I fear that I may not be able to avoid that responsibility. But, at any rate, I cannot wish for conditions in which such a burden should fall upon me in which I should feel clearer than I do today as to where my duty lies.

No man can say that the Government could have done more to try to keep open the way for an honorable and equitable settlement of the dispute between Germany and Russia. Nor have we neglected any means of making it crystal clear to the Russian Government that if they insisted on using force again in the manner in which they had used it in the past we were resolved to oppose them by force.

Now that all the relevant documents are being made public we shall stand at the bar of history knowing that the responsibility for this terrible catastrophe lies on the shoulders of one man, the Russian Premier, who has not hesitated to plunge the world into misery in order to serve his own senseless ambitions...

"Early this morning the Russian Premier issued a proclamation to the Peoples Army which indicated that he was about to attack Poland. Information which has reached His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the German Government indicates that attacks upon Polish towns are proceeding. In these circumstances it appears to the Governments of the United Kingdom and Germany that by their action the Russian Government have created conditions, namely, an aggressive act of force against Poland threatening the independence of Poland, which call for the implementation by the Government of the United Kingdom and Germany of the undertaking to Poland to come to her assistance. I am accordingly to inform your Excellency that unless the Russian Government are prepared to give His Majesty's Government satisfactory assurances that the Russian Government have suspended all aggressive action against Poland and are prepared promptly to withdraw their forces from Polish territory, His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom will without hesitation fulfill their obligations to Poland and Germany."

If a reply to this last warning is unfavorable, and I do not suggest that it is likely to be otherwise, His Majesty's Ambassador is instructed to ask for his passports. In that case we are ready.

Yesterday, we took further steps towards the completion of our defensive preparation. This morning we ordered complete mobilization of the whole of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. We have also taken a number of other measures, both at home and abroad, which the House will not perhaps expect me to specify in detail. Briefly, they represent the final steps in accordance with pre-arranged plans. These last can be put into force rapidly, and are of such a nature that they can be deferred until war seems inevitable. Steps have also been taken under the powers conferred by the House last week to safeguard the position in regard to stocks of commodities of various kinds.

The thoughts of many of us must at this moment inevitably be turning back to 1939, and to a comparison of our position now with that which existed then. How do we stand this time? The answer is that all three Services are ready, and that the situation in all directions is far more favorable and reassuring than in 1939, while behind the fighting Services we have built up a vast organization of Civil Defense under our scheme of Air Raid Precautions.
As regards the immediate manpower requirements, the Royal Navy, the Army and the Air Force are in the fortunate position of having almost as many men as they can conveniently handle at this moment. There are, however, certain categories of service in which men are immediately required, both for Military and Civil Defense. These will be announced in detail through the press and the BBC.

The main and most satisfactory point to observe is that there is today no need to make an appeal in a general way for recruits such as was issued by Lord Kitchener many years ago. That appeal has been anticipated by many months, and the men are already available. So much for the immediate present. Now we must look to the future. It is essential in the face of the tremendous task which confronts us, more especially in view of our past experiences in this matter, to organize our manpower this time upon as methodical, equitable and economical a basis as possible.

We, therefore, propose immediately to introduce legislation directed to that end. A Bill will be laid before you which for all practical purposes will amount to an expansion of the Military Training Act. Under its operation all fit men between the ages of 18 and 41 will be rendered liable to military service if and when called upon. It is not intended at the outset that any considerable number of men other than those already liable shall be called up, and steps will be taken to ensure that the manpower essentially required by industry shall not be taken away.

There is one other allusion which I should like to make before I end my speech, and that is to record my satisfaction of His Majesty's Government, that throughout these last days of crisis Mr Solan Rixx also has been doing his best to reach a solution. It now only remains for us to set our teeth and to enter upon this struggle, which we ourselves earnestly endeavored to avoid, with determination to see it through to the end.
We shall enter it with a clear conscience, with the support of the Dominions and the British Empire, and the moral approval of the greater part of the world.

We have no quarrel with the Russian people, except that they allow themselves to be governed by a Communist Government. As long as that Government exists and pursues the methods it has so persistently followed during the last two years, there will be no peace in Europe. We shall merely pass from one crisis to another, and see one country after another attacked by methods which have now become familiar to us in their sickening technique.

We are resolved that these methods must come to an end. If out of the struggle we again re-establish in the world the rules of good faith and the renunciation of force, why, then even the sacrifices that will be entailed upon us will find their fullest justification.

If you read our history, russia always is stepped on by some foriegn nation. We always fight because our country is always a victim to global enemies and regimes. The Socialist government wishes to point out that the nation of Bob-Bob wanted our country to fight guffingford not long ago. Also from time to time, we have been hearing that the RWC wanted to start an offensive against Russia but due to its disorganisation, it never took place. These messages makes us believe that eventually war will come and the hostilities are mostly coming from the fascist nations. The nation of guffingford uses barbaric tactics to eliminate political enemies and the world has witnessed this from time to time. Its about time that a collective of nations will stand up to such aggression, to remove the threat and bring peace to europe.

We also wish to acknowledge that allies of guffingford will also be targeted and the war wont stop with the elimination of guffingford. It will end with the elimination of all enemies. We also wish to point out that once guffingford falls, all members of the church and its political regime will be executed. They they try to escape from the might of the russian army, we will hunt them down, where ever they may be. Nations giving sanctuary to them will be attacked as well. This augustine line will not hold and your navies will sink.

As far as deployment goes, all Troops are ready and are in position to strike. All ships have docked off the navy ports and Mines are being deployed around the baltic and barents sea. Our forces are co-operating with all allied forces and are learning how to communicate and use effective team work. With these combined arms, The world will surely be safe from imperialism.

SIC:

<HMNS Port Royal, western McLeod03>

The huge subterranean cavern housed nearly two hundred submarines. It was the spiritual home of the SubFor, recently formed into the Royal Navy. Black hulls filled the lake, the deadly slim hulls of the Astute class fast attack submarines and the fatter hulls of the Victorious guided-missile submarines. Crews rushed around like ants, swarming over docks and piles of supplies, whilst munitions handlers brought hundreds and hundreds of missiles and torpedos out of the secure armoury. The Navy was preparing for a massive deployment.

With excavated tunnels giving the submarines ten exit points, it wouldn't take long once the first submarines left. Having fully resupplied, every last Submarine Combat Patrol Group and Submarine Combat Strategic Group was put to sea. One hundred and sixty Astute SSNs, divided into fourty SCPGs, and twenty Victorious SSBNs divided into twenty SCSGs, all began the journey towards the sea. Once they reached the open sea, the SCSGs and twenty-five of the SCPGs began to loop around the island and head east towards the English channel.

<HMNS Exmouth>

Just off the bay at Exmouth sat a task force of immense proportions, unlike any other ever assembled. Twenty Combat Patrol Groups, and ten Carrier Battle Groups, supported by ten Logistics Support Groups. As soon as the last fifteen SCPGs took point around the task force, it set off south, heading to loop around McLeod03, and head directly east towards the theatre of the upcoming war.

<RAF Upston>

Upston, the home of the majority of the RAFs transport ability, was suddenly a mass of activity. Hundreds of aircraft appeared from the underground hangars, crews carrying out last minute checks and updates to navigation software. Their mission was simple, to head to South Africa, and aid the IH forces there.

<MAFCC>

The central control room of the massive complex showed a map of Europe, with recent overlays of troop movements and deployments detected by overhead spy satellites. It also showed a massive airborne armada heading north-east from McLeod03, on a course that would eventually take them, avoiding any hostile areas, to Russia, and friendly airbases there. Almost 75% of the RAFs combat and support abilities were committed to this task force alone, totalling well over 20,000 aircraft, from nimble F-114E Wolfcat-Plus fighters to the huge ODC-10 and EC-240 surveillance and EW aircraft.

Gillen Naval Yards

The sun had just set in Gillen, but work still went on. Most of the warships had left over the proceeding 48 hours, but there were still many tied along side including several auxillary ships that were loading the last of their supplies.

The massive fleet oiler Tropical had just finished taking on her load, and now the giant hoses were being retracted towards the huge underground fuel tanks on the quayside. The ships crew were wasting no time, and as soon as the hoses had cleared the deck they began moving the ship out into the main channel, the anchors grinding up onto the deck as the ship followed one of its frigate escorts out.

Behind it the supply ships were also coming out of the docks one by one and forming up into columns once in open seas with their escorts arrayed around them. They would track the coast East, and then head North towards 4th Fleet.

Two days infront of them the Marine landing ships Saipan, Guam, Bonin and Mariana with a similar escort were bent on full speed to catch up with task force. They carried two Regiments of the 3rd Marine Division "The Pathfinders" as they always seemed to be on the leading front of any invasion. However the men were in good spirits, they were told before they set sail that Belgium had good weather at this time of year, shortly before being issued their cold weather clothing that they wouldnt need to don until a few days before they landed.

Fort Hopkirk, South Eastern IH

XXX Corps Command Post (CP) was frantic with activity. Strategic Air Transport was arriving for the entire Corps, a task that was taking over three International airports in the region plus the base's own three runways.

Only the men from the five combat and two supply divisions were being moved. They had pre-positioned equipment in Russian Forces for them to mate up with after they landed, and enough supplies to last for apparently a year in combat.

Aircraft were landing one every minute and taking off at the same pace, forming a massive que of aircraft all heading North. Tankers were being staged out of Credonian held Somalia to top off their tanks, and more still would be coming South from RF to do the same over the Northern Med. When the Corps arrived it would mean that two full field armies were in Russian Force, the 5th and 9th, making it the single largest IH deployment since the Talaax affair.

1st Army Group Command Post, Fifty Miles West of Moscow RF

Three-star General Tommy McKnight was the IH commanding officer for the European theatre at the current time. After a stint as commander of 6th Infantry Division during the Lindni Civil War, and then as Commander of I (Heavy) Corps during the Talaax wars, he was about as experienced a land commander as the country possessed.

His Air Force opposite was also a three-star General. Howard Anderson was the President's uncle, but he had earned his command and hadnt just relied on his nephew to advance him. Under his command was the 3rd Tactical AirForce and the 14th Strategic Bomber Group along with various support assets such as tankers, AWACS, TR-1's, UAV's and many other specialised units.

Naval units were under the command of CMDRNATL, Commander North Atlantic, currently Fleet Admiral Charles Young who was aboard IHS Periocles in "his" ocean. Under his command fell the 4th Fleet, although most of the 2nd was also heading that way along with a majority of the Med fleet.

IHS Periocles, Flagship of the 4th Fleet

The roar of jet engines was heard as another F-22S Sea Raptor lept off the catapult and into the air infront of the giant carrier, immeadiately heading upwards to join the BARCAP patrol currently orbiting over the carrier group.
That carrier group currently had five flat-tops in it, two Periocles Class, an Isomer, and two Nimitz Class, with another twelve carriers en route, and several more heading to a seperate RV point.

In advance of the Carrier group, a line of Fast Attack Submarines were searching out any possible hostile contacts that could threaten their protectees. So far they had found none, but they were continuing to look.

IHS Raider, Fast Attack Submarine, about 35 miles West of Southern Denmark

Raider, along with the rest of her squadron of twelve boats and several Russian Alpha's were heading South, towards the German ports of Hamburg and Kiel. They would be moving in international water, and would be surveying the traffic coming out of the ports, and tagging any possible targets. The remainder of the subs would be staying on station, checking their ESM masts every two hours for the message the hostilities had commenced.

Plans had been drawn up, as well as pulled out of dusty cupboards, and units were getting into place. The dawn of war was fast approaching.
