The return of the Cots

The morning was cold, with thick fog and waves up to five meters tall striking the beaches of East Falkland. The inhabitants of Stanley, those few who remained, were going about their everyday business, tending sheep or waiting for the fog to clear so that they could got out and start fishing. The fog didn't clear untill 9 AM, when the inhabitants of Stanley got the shock of their lives. Grey hulls surrounded the harbor, everything from small minesweepers and corvettes to large amphibious ships and aircraft carriers. From the midst of the ships, small landing craft and LCACs started to move towards the shore. Getting closer, the people saw the Cottish flag flying over the vessels. The news spread quickly, and before the LCACs and LCPs were within 100 meters of the shore, the civilians cheered. God had heard their prayers and sent the Cots back.

As the leader of the task force Admiral Peter Bryant stepped off the lead LCAC, he saw the population gather around the harbor, apparently in a state of immense joy. Bryant, being a native Falklandian himself, understood them. They had been seperated from Cotland for more then 12 years. But now they were back in Cottish hands.

"Can I have your attention please. This island, and the adjecent islands, have been officially annexed by the Cottish Empire. It's inhabitants will be granted full rights as Cottish citizens, and East Falkland will be the Fifteenth Province of the Empire of Cotland. Elections of a civilian governor will be held in one month, untill which I, Admiral Peter Bryant, will act as the military governor of the East Falklands. We ask that you do not interveene in the actions of the Cottish soldiers, and that you remain calm. A number of bases will be established here, and land owners who owns the land will be granted compensation. Thank you. God save Emperor Thomas, and God save Cotland." Bryant stepped down from the Humvee he had been standing on and walked with the soldiers towards Government House. It had come thru. East Falkland was yet again under Cottish rule.

ooc: Just for outpost protection. For my main land (Russian and Med. territories) I use the F/A-22 and the F-16.

ic: The Empire of Cotland thank the Empire of Layarteb for its recognizing the Cottish sovereign territory.

Indeed the F/A-22 is superior to the Typhoon in just about every role except ground attack. But then again, the F/A-22 isn't meant to be multirole. Good choice nonetheless. Hell I just built the F-31A Tornado ADV and F-31B Tornado IDS :).

Ground attack, that's where my A-10s come in to the picture. Those and the AC-130Hs make a heck of a lot of trouble for the boys in the mud. As for multirole, I use the good ol' F-16 for that kind of action.
