Current travel advisories and warnings as of May 1st, 2005.
Guidelines for men: To make your stay in the Federation more enjoyable, follow a few simple guidelines. 1) Do not flirt with Mississippian women, particularly if in the presence of Mississippian men. 2) Do not question or insult Calvinism or the 5 points of Calvinism. 3) Do not openly question anything the Czar or Czarina does, and do not speak ill of the government. 4) Do not question why Mississippian men are almost always armed. 5) Do not question the racial politics of Mississippi. 6) Do not make lewd remarks against any Mississippian women. 7) Do not participate in any rallies of political events that are not government sanctioned.
Guidelines for women: 1) Do not dress in a manner that would invite accusations of promiscuity. 2) Same as for men. 3) Same as for men. 4) Same as for men. 5) Same as for men. 6) If attending Mississippian church services, do not speak while inside the church, for it is not allowed in most Mississippian Churches, primarily the Calvinist ones, for women to speak. 7) Same as for men. 8) Do not attempt to go swimming wearing any foreign made swimming suit that is not keeping in Mississippian modesty.
Federation- War threatens the entire Federation, indeed hostile forces are expected to attempt to invade Fabus Island, but things are not expected to get too serious, do not hesitate to continue your vacation in our Federation, and feel free to come on over anytime, Mississippi is as safe now as ever he was.
Mississippi- Internal stability is considered excellent. Crime is low although it is highly recommended that foreign women avoid unnecessary travel in rural regions of Mississippi. It is considered ideal that any foreign women in Mississippi, particularly Roman Catholic women, be accompanied by a male relative at all times. Theses are just standard safety procedures to avoid causing incidents of cultural offenses. Avoid contact with the DISFB if at all possible as it often leads to trouble and misunderstandings.
Tennessee- Ongoing insurgency from the 2003 campaign is still a reality in the rural mountain regions of the state. Travel into the rural mountain regions is ill advised but is not necessarily unsafe. Military patrols control all major roads and there are airmobile reserves in the event of guerilla attack. It is advised that travel outside of populated areas be restricted to daylight hours. Crime is considered very low in Tennessee.
Fabus Island- Internal stability is excellent. The only occasional problems are weather related (tropical storms, hurricanes, heavy winds and waves). Crime is virtually non-existent. Nobody with breathing difficulties should travel to Fabus Island as decades of pollution have caused the entire island to have clouds of toxic fumes hanging over most parts.
Kentucky- Crime in the rural regions is relatively high due to lack of centralized Commonwealth presence in face of the growing banditry due to the downturns in the Kentuckian economy caused by the recent blizzard which also affected Mississippi (relief funds have yet to reach the right hands in Kentucky). Overall the cities and suburbs are very safe, and internal security is not an issue.
Indiana- Crime is not a problem, nor is internal security. Caution is advised when venturing near the border with Illinois, as Indianan freedom fighters are sometimes engaged in skirmishes with Illinois terrorists.
Ohio- Crime is not a problem, Ohio is considered a very safe part of the Commonwealth. Caution is advised when one travels near the border with Michigan, as there is a large colored population centered in Detroit.
Georgia- Crime is only a problem in the rural areas and near the border with Florida. The biggest problem is the weather, which often consists of high winds and heavy rain that can wash out rural roads.
South Carolina- Crime is not a significant problem in any part of the territory. Hurricanes are the main problem, along with sunburn at the beaches. The territory has minor problems with the neighboring territory of North Carolina, as large packs of Negroes are in North Carolina and thus this facilitates the need for constant border security along the border of the two Carolinas.
Mississippian Egypt- Crime is virtually unknown, except in the Arab cities and Arab townships. The small Jewish settlement of about 30,000 jews is a relatively safe place compared to the Arab settlements, but travel to "Jew City" (as it is nicknamed) by unescorted females, is ill-advised. Travel near the border with Sudan or Libya could be dangerous as there are always large concentrations of soldiers, Libyan, Sudanese, and ME on the respective borders. Thus tensions along the borders may sometimes run high. Sand storms are no longer a problem since the massive irrigation projects have left Mississippian Egypt as green as Ohio.
Western Sahara- Travel immediately outside of Stahlecker City is not suggested for foreign women, since a population of approximately one million negroes live in the rural townships right outside of Stahlecker City. Travel between Stahlecker City and nearby cities is safest if done by air, but there have to date, been no reported attacks by coloreds against whites, this is likely due to the massive police presence throughout the territory. Western Sahara is currently experiencing minor disturbances in regards to illegal protests causing gender agitation and as such it is advised you avoid these protests as things could turn violent.
An ongoing ten-year insurgency still rages in the area around New Bir Gandus (built on the ruins of Bir Gandus). The insurgents are white Muslim converts, and there about two hundred thousand of them in the entire nation.
Travel to New Bir Gandus is not permitted under Commonwealth law, as there is no Commonwealth military presence in the areas immediately in and around New Bir Gandus. As of 2005, Commonwealth and Federal forces remain on full alert in the southern mountainous regions of Western Sahara and have been skirmishing with insurgents.
The fighting often becomes very intense, for example in one fight three weeks ago in April, over one thousand insurgents ambushed a mechanized infantry company and two motorized rifle platoons. In the ensuing battle no less than two hundred Mississippian soldiers were killed or injured, and six hundred insurgents were killed or wounded or captured.
As such, travel to the southern region of Western Sahara is strictly regulated, and travel to anywhere within the "Containment Zone" around New Bir Gandus, is banned unless one obtains written authorization from the proper government authorities.
The insurgents have been known to commit atrocities, which then provokes retaliatory atrocities from white Christian paramilitary units. Southern Western Sahara is not a safe place for any female by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it safe for unarmed and untrained males. Travel into Southern Western Sahara at your own peril, and realize that travel into the "Containment Zone" will, if discovered, result in your arrest and possible indictment for violation of Commonwealth law.
Note that Western Sahara was also irrigated to "Ohio" standards.
South Africa- South Africa is currently in the grips of a major tribal war, with Zulu in the eastern part of the nation (Natal region), fighting off Xhosa on all fronts. The Boers and Volunteer Guard paramilitaries have sided with the Zulu and the Xhosa have recently been on the retreat.
Over nine million Xhosa have been displaced by this conflict, fleeing into Mozambique or Zimbabwe, as have nearly five hundred thousand Zulu. The cities are entirely safe as white armored divisions have formed defensive perimeters around all cities and major white rural settlements. Police and Armed Forces units keep open protected corridors so travel may continue between the cities and major settlements.
Travel to isolated rural commercial farms is not advised, as they seem to be the target of a terror campaign by the Xhosa. Serious violent crime is not a problem in any of the cities, although anti-foreign extremists have been known to attack foreign white immigrants in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Oddly enough, the anti-foreigners are first and second generation Mississippian immigrants, while most of the people receptive to the immigrants arrival are Afrikaners and Boers.
Namibia- Violent crime is a problem in the negro townships and shantytowns in the eastern parts of the country near the border with Botswana. Travel outside of major white settlements in the rural regions, is not advised. Along the coast however, you are safe to travel and should not hesitate to freely move about from city to city. Namibia is one of the nicest parts of the Mississippian Southern Africa territories. Also note that Namibia was subjected to an irrigation campaign similar to that of Western Sahara and Mississippian Egypt. This campaign is still well in the "ongoing" stage and so travel near irrigation canals may present safety hazards if you are not careful (don't fall in one of them).
Angola- Violent crime is not a problem except in the negro townships outside the major coastal cities. Crime is also a problem in the rural negro settlements south near the border with Namibia. (There is formed near the borders of Botswana, Angola, and Namibia, where they sort of meet, a major circle of negro townships and shantytowns, over 60% of the total negro population of the 3 territories, live within this circle. Travel between the major coastal cities of Angola, at night, is not advised, since it often entails passing near negro settlements. Monsoons often occur with little warning, but shelters are in place on elevated terrain, for whites only of course. The Commonwealth army keeps open all major roads in the territory, and the recent tribal violence should not deter you from travel to Angola.
Botswana- Violent crime is not a problem, not even in the negro townships. Most black crime affects only other blacks, and the thought of crime should not impede your travel plans. The only major problems are weather related, due to Mississippian climate alteration programs, monsoons are frequent between March and June and then September and November.
Lesotho- Whites are less than 2% of Lesotho, as such, the country is hardly safe. Travel to Lesotho is suggested only in cases of dire family emergency or absolutely necessary business ventures. The defense and policing of Lesotho falls under the responsibility of the South African Commonwealth government, and so there are fewer than two hundred white police in Lesotho who are white Lesothan, there are however, no less than twenty thousand white South African who perform police roles in Lesotho. Thus the white city and the several commercial farming villages are rather safe, but the mass of the country is not.
