OOC: Before I begin, I'm getting lazy with a website, so I'm moving my stuff here for greater ease. Feel free to comment or make suggestions on what I should add, all OOC of course. I'm still working on this, so it's not done yet.
Also, I've adopted and modified the style from Roach-Busters, I hope he doesn't mind. I really liked it, and using it helped me clear my thoughts and organise my information.

Political Overview:
The Government of Dostanuot Loj is a slightly complicated affair. No one may be a governmental official or employee without a minimum military service of 2 years. Furthermore, to be a high ranking governmental official, such as a member of the Civil Senate, or a part of either the Republican or Territorial Headquarters one must have aquired at least one Docterate.

The head of the State and the Head of the government are both a Dictator, a military officer who rules almost absolutely, but within the confines of a constitution. No single entity may change the constitution, only a majority ruling of 75% or greater in the Civil Senate, the Military Council, and the Dictator's personal opnion, in conjunction with a 75% majority vote by the people, can pass an amendment to the constitution. The Dictator has absolute control over all matters of the government, within the confines of the constitution, and with the advice of the appropriate political body.

The Civil Senate is an elected group of people who advise the Dictator and government Headquarters on all matters involving the civillian aspect of the Republic. Senators are elected per region that they are running for, and a senator may run for only one region. Each senator is a member of a political party, however political parties may not have leaders in the same sense that parties in Constitutional Monarchies or Democracies have. Instead, a senator is elected by the people, and does not have to be the leader of the party at hand.

The Military Council is made up of officers who represent the head of each Military Branch. These officers are appointed by the Dictator to act as a senator of military matters. The Military Council works the same way as the Civil Senate does, in that it votes for it's decsions. Rank is not observed inside Council proceedings, and can not be used to influence other members.

The Dictator runs the Republic with a staff of officers appointed by his or herself to the Governmental Headquarters. The Governmental Headquarters is where all decsions of the Government are made, finalised, and put into effect. One may only aquire Dictator status by being appointed by the previous Dictaror, as the Dictator in power must leave written record in a sort of Will, describing who is to suceed him or her. The other way for a person to be appointed as Dictator of the Republic, is the person must be a high ranking officer, preferably the commander of a Military Branch, and be elected by the Civil Senate at an 80% vote count or higher.

The Territorial Headquarters is commanded by an appointed Officer of the Republican Headquarters to oversee individual Territorial Government actions. The Organisation is the exact same as the National Government, except that there is no Military Council on the Territorial level. Each Territory has it's own Civil Senate that advises the Territorial Headquarters, and is composed of elected representatives from political parties, as elected by the Citizens of the specific Teritory.

Only Citizens of the Republic may be appointed to any Governmental Postsion. A Citizen is defined to be someone of either of the two State recognised religions, who has served a military/police/education postsion for a term of two years. Only those who are practitioners of the two State recognised religions (Sumerian and Taino), and who hold papers issued by the Governmental Headquarters that state said individual is a Citizen.

Military Breakup

Military Overview:
The head of the Military, as with the Government, is the Dictator. Each branch of the Military is headed by it's own Commander, and is thusly an independant entity in the Government, unless otherwise required by the Republic as a whole, whereas total control is that of the Dictator.

Republican Guard: The main Army of Dostanuot Loj, the largest single force operated by the Republic. The Republican Guard also assists with major internal security incidents when needed.

Republican Air Force: The main air wing of Dostanuot Loj. Responsible for the protection of the National borders and air space, as well as the assistance of other military branches when air power is required.

Republican Navy: The Naval force of Dostanuot Loj. The burden of keeping the Republic's international interests, the soviergnty of the nation, and the protection of shipping lanes. The Republic is dependant upon the actions of the Navy.

Republican Marines: Dostanuot Loj's initial offensive force. The Republican Marines are tasked solely with invasion and occupation of forigh territory, if the need should arise for such a task.

Republican Fleet: The national space agency. Fleet is responsible for all satalites, space operations, and both governmental and civillian matters off the surface of Earth.

Territorial Gaurd: Each Teritory has it's own gaurd force, sort of like a National Gaurd. The Territorial Gaurd encompases both shore patrol vessles in territorial waters, as well as an extensive land force, specificly to maitain the defence os the teritory in question, under any circumstances.

Special Operations: A smal, elite force of soldiers who are the Special Forces of the Republic. For some units, selection is volunatary, but well controled, from the ranks of other military branches. For other units, selection is mandatory from an early age.

Special Weapons: The branch of the military that has authority over Dostanuot Loj's Chemical and Nuclear weapons. Working closlely with all other branches, unit is small, but well trained in it's feild. Accecptance into this unit is as restricted as Special Operations, requiering certian education standards.

Central Logistics: The coordination centre for all Logistical efforts. Allowing greater control and participation of the different military branches, as well as economic systems such as merchant shipping.

Central Intelligence: The covert operations, intelligence gathering, and espionage operations are conducted by Central Intelligence.
