"Fellow Imperialist nations of the world,

Today the Democratic Imperium of Praetonia has announced her intention to form the Alliance of Greater Imperial Powers. For centuries now, Imperialist nations have been persecuted, and dismissed as evil and oppressive merely for attempting to spread their enlightened civilisation to all four corners of the world. We have been forced to rely on regular alliance for protection - alliances that often do not see unprovoked attacks against Imperialist invasions as agression; alliances that do not see the attacking of colonies in the same light as the attacking of a mainland nation. Praetonia seeks to change all that.

"Imperialist nations are many. Whether it is merely the colonisation some small and previously uninhabited island, or years and trillions of dollars spent pursuing an agressive strategy of expansion, Imperialist nations are all across the globe. Some, fearing international reprocussions, deny the fact that they are really Imperialists. Deny their very culture. Deny their very political feelings. Nations that pursue an Imperialist strategy must band together to survive and expand. There we propose the following treaty:

Article 1: All member states of the Alliance of Greater Imperial Powers agree to further the aims and ideals of Imperialism and of the Alliance as a whole.

Article 2: All member states agree to provide aid, preferably military by possibly economic, to a member state under attack either in a colony, a dominion, or on home soil.

Article 3: All member states agree to provide aid, preferably military by possibly economic, to a member state facing attack due to an Imperialist action.

Article 4: All member states agree to co-operate in an Imperialist attack on a specific region if such action is voted for by a majority of at least 2/3s.

Article 5: All member states agree to oppose the idea of an AGIP leader, either official or unofficial. All decisions are to be taken by the alliance as a whole, and any or all parts of the treaty may be suspended if so voted by at least 2/3s of the alliance."

OOC: What do you think? I've never tried making an alliance before, so constructive criticism would be appreciated. Applications to join will be appreciated even more.

The Emperor Alaric Tan'it paid us a personal visit, and we are now considering an alliance with him, but are primarily interested in AGIP. Myself and my retainers are presently being entertained in Xeraph, hence the post from Xeraph. The Grey Legions are a resurrected nation from the past NS world, and was once an ally of Xeraph through ARM, a now defunct alliance. We left the alliance when it dissolved over a year (RL) ago.

The United Osean States is very well glad of Praetonia's diplomatic arm being so open in a vast imperial openness for such an alliance as past ones have been targets in the past years.

The Osean Council is currently holding a vote to join the alliance, in hopes this will further more get Osea Truitt better relations that it had lost in its isolation period.

I was thinking about something about imperialism that leaves them kinda useless. What if this alliance does (very, extremely, uberly unlikely) take over the entire world and annex it? Than what? Do we fight eachother? Do we expand together into space? Just a random thought from your neighborhood 'Imperialist-In-Denile.'

Although, formaly committed to maintaining our stance of "silent" imperialism, we wish to join this alliance.

ViZion is a bit conserned over this new imperialistic alliance, and will be keeping tabs on it.

Euroslavia, despite keeping its own Imperialistic intentions as quiet as possible, seeks to join this Alliance.

As for suggestions, I suggest that, since there is no leader, each member nation gets one representative on a council for the alliance; an ambassador to the alliance, if you will. Just an idea.

The Macabees, as a proponent of imperialism and the a monarchial administration, would like to enter its application for membership into AGIP. It may be said that the Macabees are well known at AGIP as its the gas station company present at a little town in Spain called El Provencio where every summer Mac goes and buys his diesel for his motorcycle.

The Commonwealth of Azazia, recognizing the importance of the institution of empire as one of the most important means of bringing stability and prosperity to a region, and recognizing the importance of maintaining peace among the world's empires in the interests of global stability and economic prosperity, would like to petition the AGIP for admission - or if denied, some sort of official relationship between the members accepted and the Commonwealth to further the aforementioned goals of stability and prosperity.
