Good evening. The Divine Emperor Hachiman has decreed that all former member of the Japanese Self-Defence Force be released from the forced labour camps. Official sources state that the Emperor has grown tired of punishing his own people, and that the SDF was merely doing its job as an organization of the former government. The released were given the equivalent salary for their long time of slavery, what will take its toll on the governmental budget for the next 2 years. Some of the most desperate members of our society have already stated their interest in spending some time in the labour camps, provided they are given the same treatment afterwards. The Emperor did not voice his opinion on such suggestion.
The Basebal League has reopened after being shut down for over 5 years, due to the Civil Wars. Many adepts have pilled up in the Tokyo Dome to bear witness to the first game, between the teams of Kyoto and Osaka. However, some let theirs emotions take over, and when the Osaka team began to run out of steam, the police was forced to intervene. The Secretary of Sports, Kubo Kenzaburo, stated "there's an appaling lack of security devices in the Dome, and the reason is that the Samurai forces had it besieged for a week. There was not enough money to repair or substitute all security devices."
A controversial Anime about WWII is bound to hit the shelves within 4 months. "Kamikaze" is the story of a Zero pilot as he combats in the battles of the Pacific, in the meanwhile learning about the treachery of his commanding officers. Starting from the epic victory at Pearl Harbour, the story gradually grows into a tragedy as the hero understands his country will lose the war. Upon an act of despair, he plunges his plane against an American Flag Ship, hence the series' name. "Kamikaze" will be composed of 5 OAVs.
