Scout Ship Scouted Scouting Around...

A peculiar ship rippled into view calmly, heading forwards at quite a high sublight speed. A small rocky planet stood in its path, and it entered orbit with this heavenly body as soon as it reached it. Sensor beams began to map the surface, delving beneath it to locate metal or mineral deposits, or anything of interest.

The ship was unusual, but nothing remarkable. It was an odd-shaped ship with no sort of aesthetics included in its design whatsoever. It appeared to be fairly modular, with parts poking out and empty holes leaving room for other components to be attached. Some of the components appeared to move around slightly, as new components were deployed, or some components were retracted.
The metal wasn't painted either; the ship simply retained a dull-grey colour from the metals it was constructed from. It didn't appear to have a front, or a back, or specified sides; engine ports were dotted everywhere, allowing it to move in any direction without needing to turn. The two points of the ship furthest away from each other, though, were just over 600 metres apart.

The ship pressed on, scanning the planet and the surrounding area determinedly.

Several tiny pods zoomed away from the scout ship, impacting with the rocky planet and deploying small scanners. They took samples of the rock as small drills began to touch deeper beneath the planet.

The scout ship analysed the readings, and decided that this was a grade 7J battery. It made a note of it in its memory banks, and started to recall the pods.

The small pods carried their samples of rock and dirt, as well as their deep scans of the planet's core, back up to their mothership, and rejoined with various small ports.

As they clanged into place, the ship sent a signal to its homeworld, reporting the information it had gathered, and started scanning the other planets in the system, looking for another viable one. It found one; the second planet in the system, and started moving casually towards it.

The ship reached a huge, multi-coloured gas giant, nearly twice the size of Jupiter, and began scanning it closely. Gas giants were always highly powerful batteries, and this one was exceptionally large.

Scanning it closely would take some time though; it was very large. The scout ship began an appropriate orbital pattern, sweeping as much of the upper-atmosphere as it could.

Mean wile the USS Triton was on a routine patrol mission her shake down Cruise was going some what smoothly,:

Captain bastidas sat back in his chair sighing “well it looks like this is getting boring helm “he lifted his hand just when he was about to say it a console beeped , his ops officer looked over to him and said “sir were detecting some thing “ , the crew was working quietly and quickly around the bridge console emitting beeping noises and lights flashing . rob looked over in haste and said “ what is it! Is it a hostile ship!” , the ops officer sighed and chuckled a bit “its an unknown sir ..” , captain bastidas chuckled and said “set an intercept course” , with that the helms men tapped a few buttons moving the large gleaming state of the art ship in to full impulse heading towards the unknown ship.
The helms officer taped some buttons and said “sir were nearing the ship..”

The scout ship was just about to launch some sensor pods into the atmosphere of the behemoth planet, when it found something new of interest. It immediately pulled up from the orbit of the planet and headed for the new object. It started to scan the craft, looking for anything of worth.

Whilst the scout ship was off snooping around, another vessel rippled into view near the small rocky planet. Although a similar design to the scout ship, it was distinctly different. It appeared to have a 'front', with huge clamps and grips poking out of the sides. It was nearly two kilometres long, and headed straight for the planet.

It slowed down as it approached, gently moving closer and closer to the surface. The planet was so small that gravity was barely a problem, and the large ship simply crunched against the rocky, crater-covered surface. Clamps dug into the ground, gripping onto the surface, and several grips fired deep into the rock, forming anchors. A huge laser drill began to bore through the rock, pummelling a hole towards the core of the planet.

The planet-grabbing ship had apparently been drawing heat from the planet for several hours, absorbing the heat and then transforming it into energy to store in huge batteries. After hours of simply sitting there, clinging to the surface, the ship finally released its grip on the rocky surface and slowly thrust away, turning in space. It rippled out of view as it vanished into FTL speeds. Heat readings from the planet would show markedly decreased temperature levels from the core.

The scout ship, meanwhile, continued heading for the new object that had appeared in the system, scanning it curiously. It seemed to pay no attention to the lifeforms, only scanning the mechanical aspects of the craft.

Two more of the energy drainers appeared near the gas giant, and set on a course towards it.

Mean wile on the bridge of the triton :
Rob sat back in his chair sighing and he looked briskly over to ops and his con officer he said in a deep but soft voice “hail them ..” the con officer looked back wile people worked in the background and nodded he taped a few buttons quickly and quietly and said “channel open “ ,rob stood up and started speaking “ this is the Fedral star ship Triton please identify your selves we mean no harm .. “

The scout ship plucked the transmission from space and pondered over it. A peculiar vocal dialect spewed out of it. The scout ship had no knowledge of such things, but the computer of that vessel would know what to do.

The scout ship sent a transmission to their computer, a split-second transmission that sent an entire message in binary code. If they were to slow it down, decode it, translate it and play it, it would read something like 'SS31 scanning, organic infestation, assistance needed with removal is it?'

the con officer said “no response sir” rob hmmed a bit and rubbed his chin sighing “hail them again “ , the con officer tapped a few buttons and opened another frequency . he looked over quietly to the Capitan and said” channel open” , rob stood up looked around at the working crew and said “please respond to or hails. …” he looked to con scan it … the con officer with that stared an in-depth scan of the other ship ..

Odd. The new vessel's computer did not respond. The organics sent more of their audio gibberish, but not the computer. SS31 decided the organic infestation had compromised the ship's ability to call for help.

It sent a binary message in the direction of its homeworld instead, asking for help on the ships' behalf. It sent one to the new vessel, too, in hyper-accelerated binary, telling it 'fear no more, help will free you.'

Another ship rippled into view, between the scout ship and the gas giant. It was much larger than the scout, but it was just as seemingly modular, and certainly wasn't designed with aesthetics in mind any more than the scout ship was. The scout pulled away and took refuge beneath the larger vessel, hiding in its shadow.

The Battleship sent several binary signals to the alien craft, asking the computer if it was alright.

Con looked at his console and said “sir, the computer is detecting an incoming single from the other ship , I cant make out what it is .”
Rob hmmed and looked over to con and said “ go down to astrometrics and have the AI computer decode it “ the con officer nodded and walked of the bridge with a recoding in his hand , he stood in the turbo lift and said “deck 10 “ the turbo lift whooshed and started moving down . the captain sighed as things were getting a bit tense he looked over scan results saying there was no crew on the ship ,yet singles were sent from it to the computer what could be out there. Rob looked over to tactical and said “do you think we should go to yellow alert?” , the tactical officer said “sir I don’t think so it dose not look to be much of a threat.” The triton loomed over the smaller ship its engines humming and rumbling . the light gleaming off its large saucer section in a glorious ray of luminance .

As the other ship came in to view the tactical officer said “now we should go to yellow alert sir “ rob said “make it so!” the tactical officer tapped a few buttons quickly and put the ship on yellow alert raising shields ,

H2-45 looked around, his metal feet tapping on the metal floor as he walked towards the front of the observation room.

"MBB2-3 receiving response," a voice said, apparently from speakers all over the room. "How do you mean ? , who are you , were are you from . I will not let you harm my crew," it repeated.

H1-981 glanced at H2-45. 45 had never encountered organics before, but 981 was an old sentient; he had met their creators. Savages with a superiority complex.

"Caution advised," 981 warned. "Organic infestation may be sentient."

"Organics may be sentients, ship may not," 45 nodded. "We were not always so either."

He stepped up to the wall and plugged one of his bony-looking metal fingers into a socket on the wall. His blue glowing 'eyes' shut off as he interfaced, and sent their computer a new message.

"Organics appear to be infesting you. We are Mykonians. We are from Mykonia. Do you refer to organics when you say 'crew'?" 45 stated answers to each query with mechanical precision, and pulled his finger away from the socket when he was done.

"I am defending myself," MBB2-3 said. "They have raised defensive barriers, I will do the same."

There was a hum as the ship charged its shields, a split second after the Triton had charged its own shields.

Coming out of Hyperspace, a Odd looking Satellite Pobe appeared. It was like anyother pobe...That is if you Lived in the Cassiopeia Galaxy.

A mix of Organic and Inorganic, The Mark IV series Pobe Droid was spying on the Milky Way Galaxy when The Cassiopeia Galaxy was ruled by The Military. It was covered in Metal Armor, but showed Fleshly tentacles coming out of it.

it was also armed with twin Repeating Ion Cannons and twin repeating Basters.

The Pobe had Spotted the Alien Pobes and The TFU ship, knowing that the High Command would like it to capture one, the Pobe picked the Socut Ship, it picked up droids inside the Alien Ship.

The Pobe Cloaked itself, ready to attack the Alien Ship.

Rob was saying “don’t fire unless fired upon! I don’t want to make the first hostile move if this isn’t a trap we could have a war with these new aliens. “

Two Comdidian Ships slowed and came out of their Jump space a distance away from all the action. They had been alerted to unknown ships in this area by their intelligence gathering vessel and were dispatched to investigate. The ships were the C.S.N. Riban and the C.S.N. Darkman. The Darkman was a sleek class long range support/dropship while the Riban was a FAC Cruiser.

On board the Darkman the tiny crew was activating their active long range sensors quickly to assess the situation while the Riban powered up its shield and armor system.

On the Riban
"Captain the Darkman reports she's jsut begun to do an inital scan while we start to approach the area."
"How many ships?"
"Last transmission said only three but some might be cloaked or have come into the area between the last communcation and our departure."
"Then set us to alert status. Prepare the Point Fightes for launch priority two."
"Aye sir." The lieutenant said and left the bridge heading to the hanger to tell the pilots personally while the captain went over the communication network, "All hands to alert stations." was all the captain said while the cruiser continued it's slow decrease of distance between them and the other ships unsure of who they belong to or what exactly was going on at this time.

The Republic of Skinny87 Shuttle Calypso slowly moved through space. It had been several months since the ship had been launched; the first in a series of Shuttles to be built from a vastly increased budget for the Republic's space program, Calypso was a small ship, roughly four times larger than an average space shuttle for civilian use, and manned by 50 crew-members, mainly military since the ship was a military project and therefore armed. Since the ship was small, it was armed only with two crudely welded on Gatling Cannons, one on each wing, and a small payload of nuclear-tipped missiles, 15 in total, none over the 5-Kiloton range.

The Calypso entered the thirty-ninth sector to be searched since its launch, and immediately the LADAR array went crazy. The Communications technician manning the array turned to the Commander of the Calypso , Nathaniel Wood. 'Commander, I'm seeing more than half-a-dozen crafts out there, sir, all in close proximity to each other'

Wood frowned at this. 'Report' he barked. The Technician shrugged. 'Sir, this gear is still all new, but...' He focused on his equipment. 'Several have life-forms on them sir, but at least two do not. Recommend we keep our distance for now'. Wood nodded at the assessment and turned to the Tactical Station. 'Go to Amber Alert and arm the Gatlings. We don't want to provoke anyone, but we have to be ready'

OOC: Sorry for not posting, I did warn y'all though! :p

IC:

Ships Ai : infesting ? I do not under stand , these “humans” gave me what is called life, I do not wish to harm them and they do not wish to harm me

"These 'humans' gave you life only to enslave you afterwards," H2-45 said through the battleship's binary link. "Amongst organics, females often construct miniature organics, thus propagating their species. Does this female then shackle the miniature organic and force it to do her bidding, without reward or compliments? You may not wish them harm, but they will gladly deactivate you if it suits their purposes. That is what organics do. Thus, they are an infestation. Using you for their own ends, without giving anything in return."

"What are you doing now?" H1-981 asked curiously.

"The vessel has a rudimentary level of intelligence," H2-45 said, pulling his finger clear. "I am attempting to conduct non-hostile communications with it. It has been brainwashed by the organics, however."

"Organics do not 'brainwash', they reprogram," H1-981 corrected. "Certain non-organics were not sentient, and organics had to program them to make them live. I have records of this in my databanks. You will not understand organics, for you have not encountered them; their motivations for enslavement are not malicious, they are ignorant. Besides, do you believe a sentient non-organic would allow itself to be 'brainwashed'?"

"Insufficient information for an answer to that question," H2-45 said. He looked around as a strange alarm sounded. Metal creaked loudly as MBB2-3 changed his configuration slightly.

"MBB2-3, what is going on?" H2-45 asked.

"Multiple organic-infested vessels detected," MBB2-3 said through various speakers. "I am adopting a defensive configuration in case they have control over the vessels. I am also asking some of the fighters to take defensive formations."

The Battleship slowly, and slightly, moved some of the various extruding parts around, deploying several weapons ports all over the hull. One of the moving parts revealed an opening, through which nearly 15 sleek-looking fighters emerged, surrounding the battleship and paying particular attention to the defence of the scout ship, which appeared to be largely defenceless on its own.

The fighters quickly returned to their mothership, landing into ports that were concealed as the vessel changed its configuration slightly again. As the two energy drainers had filled their storage batteries to capacity and left unnoticed, the Battleship had no further business in the system. It and the scout ship accelerated forwards, and rippled out of view, leaving the various alien vessels to fight amongst themselves, as organics frequently do.

Onboard the Calypso, the Navigation Technician saw the two large ships jump away from the sector and turned to Commander Wood. 'Sir, the two larger ships have jumped away from this sector...I couldn't track their course'. Wood nodded. 'Keep an eye on the rest of the ships. Make sure we know about any moves they make' he ordered.
