Today it is announce that Premier Vladimir has arrived in Western Puerto Rico to try and smooth relations with the people of wester Puerto Rico who remain inperialistic from the last government. Although against advisors Premier Vladimir refused to bring large amounts of bodyguards, opting instead to bring only one bodyguard, who was a close friend. Setting off his visit he plans on taking a walking tour through the area to take in the surroundings.

IC: In a full Ghillies Suit customized for the area a lone EXOPS mercenary awaited the Premier, his Silenced M95S was painted in an appropriate camoflauge for the area and he was basically invisible to everything short of an IR apparatus. The Premier slowly strolled along the hill where the mercenary had been told he'd be. The merc. took aim, he had only one shot at this. He brought the Primier's head to bear in his sights, "Too easy." he thought to himself. The Primier stopped to admire the landscape, this was te moment, the merc. held his breath, lined up the target, and with the skill of an Olympic target shooter took the shot between heartbeats. His proficiency showed as the .50APFSDS round was delivered with the pinpoint accuracy that he was known for. The Premier crumpled to the ground, dead. The moment had been totally undisturbed, the silencer worked perfectly and the muzzle flash of the M95S SD was next to nothing. The only thing that gave away what had happened was the Premier lying dead on the hillside, with a gunshot wound in the head. The round would never lead police anywhere, it would have no rifling marks, no signs at all to tell who was responsible.
The mercenary slowly stealthed away and reached his escape vehicle. He drove to the extraction zone and disappeared without anyone knowing that he was responsible, or that anything had even happened until he was long gone.

Having been missing for quite some time the bodyguard, who was ordered to stay in the hotel, went out in search for the Premier. After wondering for hours and calling in military forces the Premier was found, dead from a gunshot wound to the head. After this discovery the military arrested 2 local Imperial Party leaders and charged them with the assassination of the Premier, they await transfer to Russia for trials, while a further investagation takes place.
Message to Moscow:
It is with deep regret that we inform your nation to the loss of its leader, Premier Vladimir. Your nation and its people have our sympathy.
Moscow is expected to make an international announcement on this matter
