The Empire Lusts for War

"Senators please calm yourselves, there is no need for all of this. I assure you, i will not let this Empire which has lasted for over a thousand years fall into the darkness. We are in new times, and new times demand new measures. The younger races are growing, they are breeding like livestock in a pen while we stagnate and watch. The Empire has hidden in the shadows for too long, it is time we come forth and take what is rightfully ours. I will tell you all now, that my plan is not without risk, there are many enemies, but they are weak powers, squabbling amongst themselves for the small scraps we neglected to consume. My plan is simple, we will begin expanding in the Northern rim. Hologram on." The centre of the room burst into life as a map of the Galaxy was formed. In the centre a vast hazy yellow covered all of the Coreworlds and innerrim even extending to the Galactic edge. "Here senators is the Empire in yellow," Thrawn motioned towards the map."We currently control over half the Galaxy, with many more vassal worlds that have semi independence. Our military is currently second to none in size, though it is ageing. Our enemies have begun corrupting our colonies with false dreams of freedom, that as you can understand is unacceptable."

"Grand Admiral, though your concern for the growth of the Empire is admirable, what guarantees do we have that the young ones will not ally and fight collectively against us. We cannot fight them all, not with rebellion creeping throughout the Empire, we need a large bulk of our forces just
to keep order, the Cult of Dethos is growing daily and the Sith are up to their tricks again, I believe our forces are better spent removing old enemies and not making new ones."

"Senator Deshi, of course, I understand your concern, I am sure that everyone else here shares it." Thrawn pointed to the room filled with nodding heads. "That is why our first offensive will take place upon old enemies, I am not a fool, we will crush those that are supporting the rebellion and the cult. Hologram phase two. Here senators highlighted in red is the enemy. They have been supporting the rebellion from the first war, one thousand years ago, and it is time that they are ended. a combined fleet spearheaded by Chronosia and Doomingsland will take them out and level their population. Meanwhile an Imperial fleet, excluding the Deathstar will head towards this target in the unknown regions." A small area lit up bright white. "This is our target, there defences are quaint but not to be underestimated. A force of one hundred and twenty one Imperial Star Destroyers will secure the area, the command ship will wait five Light minutes out just incase its needed."

"Admiral Thrawn, you do not have my support in this act of unfocused aggression. As elected senator of Courscant, I am using my dully appointed Veto to block this action. I will not have any undue act of war without necessary reason."

Thrawn turned, his red eyes narrowed into pinpoints. "Is the senator sure of her choice?"

"I am Admiral."

"Very well, but I will say now, I tried to act before we ourselves fell victim to outsiders, if we pay the price for your ineptitude, I will not be held responsible." Thrawn turned from the senate and walked out of the council chambers followed by a trail of his supporters. Leading the way Grand Admiral Thrawn spearheaded the walk down the Imperial corridor followed by the rest of the Grand Admirals.

"Well Thrawn what do we do now? We have made fools of ourselves in front of the senate and the Empire."

"Be silent and keep your tongue to yourself, this was all planned, we need the public to grow dissatisfied with the senate, and this is the only way to go about it. In one week from today an attack will happen on Coruscant iself by an alien force. They will hit, and target civilian structures, leaving the senate responsible for the massacre. The fleet will be within range to strike, rescuing the planet and throwing the senate deeper into public dissolution." Smiling Thrawn moved towards a hyper lift. As the doors opened he turned back. "Admirals, see to it that senator Deshi has an accident, we do not want her to rally more support, perhaps she will fall victim to the alien invaders hmmm?"

The doors closed leaving nine Admirals on their own, while Thrawn descended towards the former throne room. Admiral Velo stared at the closed doors in shock. "He wants us to kill a senator? This is not the old Republic, we are surely past the days of cloak and dagger?"

"You forget Velo, that Thrawn is from the days of the old Empire, he or should i say his clone formed our democracy centuries ago, he is far more capable than all of us."

"But still, this is high treason. If we are caught..."

"If we are caught what will happen, the military will detain us? HA! They support us not the senate, Thrawn has engineered their loyalties over years, they will not betray us for a bunch of politicians."

"But."

"But enough Velo, the discussion is over, now arrange for the senators demise as Thrawn ordered."

Velo turned with the look of conflict on his face "I will do as you ask, but only sorrow will come of this Vland, you and I know it." Turning to the other Admirals Velo nodded his head. "Good day Gentleman."

As Velo walked down the corridor eight pairs of eyes followed him. "We're going to have to remove him Vland, you know that don't you?"

With a heavy sigh Vland looked at his fellow officers. "I picked Velo for his morality, a trait that I find lacking in the Navy, sadly I now realise too late, that in the military morality has no place. Someone get rid of him... But make it quick, I don't want him to suffer, this war has
already destroyed his heart...."

The ships moved silently upon Coruscant; ancient, decadent ships that scarcely even resembled Imperium vessels anymore; wordless terrors moving through the void of space like ravenous sharks, advancing upon their prey. Aboard were countless Imperial guard, dressed in strange, alien uniforms; acknowledging that for this time, they must be subtle as knives, as they slid towards their objective. The vessels paused; hovering above the orb of the world; before weapons glimmered and shone; and the bombardment began; waves of flaming death descending through the atmosphere as the first bombard cannons roared in thermonuclear fury...

Small fighters began to descend; weapons blaring in a lightshow cavalcade of carnage; dropships screamed through the atmosphere, Imperial Guardsmen in their strange garb within; clutching their weapons and preparing...Preparing for this strange illusion of war; this danse macabre that they now partook in.

Thrawn stood on the command ships bridge eagerly waiting for the first attack wave. Turning to eight Admirals that flanked him he raised his fists and clenched them. "Today, we make history, no longer will the Empire be ruled by the decadent senate and their foolish and time consuming "Democracy." A new order will rise, and with it the Galaxy will burn. In the ashes the Empire will grow, flourish as it done a millennia ago. But for the greater good sacrifices must be made."

"Admiral the enemy fleet has just dropped out of Hyperspace. Coruscant is minimally defended."

Thrawn turned towards the command pit. "Begin phase two, shut down all sensor and power relays."

"Shut down commencing Admiral."

Coruscant

As the enemy fleet emerged from hyperspace, the planetary shield was raised almost instantly. After a small lull, defending fire erupted form the surface towards the enemy force. As the defenders took to their stations the planet descended into darkness. Power grids began to fail, as bombs detonated critical locations. Communications and sensor networks collapsed rendering the planetery weapons useless, and with the fleet away on essential training exercises the fighter screen was at its lowest since the end of the civil war.

The blue bubble that defended the planet collapsed in almost instantly, leaving Coruscant open to crippling attacks.

The 4th Imperial fleet, under command of Admiral Vyse were on patrol of the Unified Sith Border.

"Admiral, contact with Coruscant just fell!"

"Source?"

"Unknown."

"This could be serious. Set a course for Coruscant, Max Hyperspeed-we must find out what is going on! And inform the Emperor of our actions!"

"Aye Admiral. Setting course."

The fleet shot into hyperspace, destined for Coruscant...

Weapons fire poured from the now clear skies; bringing the fury of hell, divine wrought vengence from the skies. Buildings crumbled and burned under the sunderign fire; ships darting through the skies bursting into smokey flame as the great explosions rocked the earth and air.

The dropships landed, disgorging their human waves; men pouring forth with bolter and flamer and lascannon; to crush all in their path; an innumerable tide of wrath, hurtling towards the senate chambers. A vast roar echoed through the city as the dropships opened fire with mortar at the great dome of the senate building; annointing these skies with flame and blood and death....

Senator Jennifer Masaki was quite unhappy with the interruption of what looks like Chronosians, but not. She drew her lightsaber, deflecting lascannon bolts, and sending enemy troops away with telekinetic blasts. "Fiona, we must contact your brother about this. He's not going to be amused."

"Yeah, he does have that anger streak..." Fiona smirked before sending a wave of electricity at an officer.

"Indeed. They'll wish they've never messed with the Black Order Commander's family." Jennifer smiled thinly. In truth, she worried about her son, how much the years have taken his innocence. Fires exploded, structures crumbled, people burned alive and blood flowed through the streets. "Admiral eight percent of the city has been destroyed, shall i relay the orders?"

"Very well, have the fleet line up with the command ship, and order every vessel to charge their hyperspace engines, I want the fleet to move out as soon as possible." Thrawn turned and looked at his Admirals, only shame could be seen on their faces, they were good men, but far too moral, the Admirals of old would not have felt such useless emotion. "I sense a small degree of dissatisfaction gentleman?"

"Well its just Admiral, that you assured us only four percent of the city would be destroyed. No more, no less, we only agreed to this operation as promised you were going to target the alien quarters, but now, you have committed mass murder."

"Plans change."

"Not when the fates of billions are being decided."

"The fates of billions, this plan includes the fates of trillions. They must perish for the greater good, if you do not see that Admiral perhaps you should reconsider your position?"

Stammering Admiral Talon locked eyes with Thrawn. "Nnnno that won't be necessary, perhaps you were right all along Admiral, greater destruction is better."

"There is no perhaps about it, only that I am always right Admiral, nothing less, nothing more."

A small shudder shaked the ship, as the fleet went into Hyperspace.

Coruscant was now in flames. The senate destroyed, as the vast dome imploded on itself sending a mushroom cloud of dust and debris into the atmosphere. Military forces had been evacuated from the area prior to the attack for essential training exercises giving the enemy ground forces free rein in the streets. Women, children, men, all were slaughtered on the enemy blades. As the tyrants poured through the capital a burst of light arrived in space.

"Open a channel." Standing strong, and rigid Thrawn prepared to defeat his enemy. "Unknown forces, you have attacked an Imperial world, murdered countless innocents, slaughtered my people in a cowardly attack of stealth and betrayal, this act will not go unpunished. "Open fire, slaughter them all." Turning Thrawn slumped into his command chair seemingly exhausted. Prepare ground forces, we're going to have to clear the streets."

To say that the senate building was in ruins would be understating the reality. Most of the senators died in the explosions or the resulting massacre by the alien troops. Some of the senators possessed some sort of martial skill is it military training or in the case of Senator of the Farstars Confederacy, being a Jedi Knight.

As he made his way out of the rumble he began to analyze the situation and what had occurred. The guards who were stationed in the hall fought valiantly but were overrun, but how did the enemy get to the planets surface? The only explanation was a failure in the planetary shield grid which would mean that multiple power stations and relays would also have had to fail.

For that matter where were the Quick Reaction Battalions that should have been on alert, there existed contingency plans upon contingency plans to prevent precisely what just happened, so how did it happen. He would be sure to find out.

As he looked about the ruins he still heard the sounds of battle being ranged and felt the pain of those suffering. Many people died this day even institutions like the senate died, but some things like democracy and liberty can not be killed through force of arms. The Senator would do what he could to bring the Senate back from the ashes, he would find out who was responsible for what occurred this day and they would meet justice.

Senator and Jedi Knight Hawkins was not someone who you wanted to get on your bad side unless you had a lot of big tough friends and even then you better be looking over your shoulder. A lot of his colleagues perished today and answers would be had.

Commander Diana Niota sighed with relief as she noticed the withdrawal of the alien fleet under the guns of the Imperial Navy. Her Flotilla was scattered throughout the system when the enemy arrived however she was able to quickly array her ships in a fighting line utilizing their fold engines. They equated themselves well in the battle but their numbers were too small to prevent the enemy landings. The destroyers Akira and Lightning as well as the light cruiser Defiant all sustained heavy damage in the fight and would not be going anywhere until they saw some time in a repair yard. Her own Heavy Cruiser Domino and its consort Eagle only sustained light damage as well as the remaining division of destroyers that comprised her flotilla.

“Communications get me the Senate apprise Senator Hawkins of our current situation and the withdrawal of the aggressor force.” Her comms officer attempted to complete his orders but quickly told his captain,

“Skipper there appears to be a problem I can’t raise Senator Hawkins or the Senate Hall at all for that matter I can’t get through to the entire planet.”

“Jamming from that alien fleet?” The gruff voice of Niota’s XO asked.

“Possible sir but it is pretty heavy stuff, something is a little strange about it.” The comms officer replied quickly.

“XO, call the boat bay prep a pinnace for launch with a marine squad in power armor, send it into the atmosphere with a full load of com-drones, they are to attempt to raise the Senator through his personal comms or to locate him on the ground through his transponder.”

“Aye Aye, skipper.” The XO stated. Ten minutes latter a pinnace made for the Imperial Capital.

OOC: Ok I'm just going to rp Chrons part, as well he aint here.

A small shudder rocked the Hellfire, grabbing a metal beam Thrawn held himself upright. "What caused that?" Turning, his face neutral as always, the Grand Admiral made sure that his presence was felt.

A young officer looked up from the command pit, his face covered in sweat. "It was an enemy cruiser detonating Admiral, only a shockwave."

Giving an inward Sigh of relief Thrawn immediately reverted back to his current priority. "Order the fleet to attack sector twelve A, take out the battleships, and have the fighters provide covering fire for the boarding crews."

"Admiral the enemy fleet is retreating, shall I order that we pursue?"

Thrawn shook his head in refute. "Order the fleet to hold its position above the planet, we are going to be needed here."

"But Admiral they are escaping, shall we not hunt them down?"

Thrawn ignored the impudence of the child. "Operations, give me a full status report of the situation on the ground, I want the planet secured, and I want it done now."

Captain Teler turned to face the Admiral, his pristine uniform still looking as though it had just come from a vacuum pack, walking up to the Admiral he saluted. "The scan was completed as soon as we arrived Admiral, we have determined that most of the bombardment struck the senate and surrounding areas. Communications are now coming online, we will be able to launch a counter attack to the unknown ground forces in approximately eighteen minutes. We have the primary droid army and Stromtroopers closing in as we speak."

"Very well ha.."

"Admiral the jamming centres are reporting an attempt to make a transmission."

"From where commander?"

"Senate Dome, or what remains of it. Admiral, they are using Senator Hawkins clearance frequency."

Clenching his fists Thrawn cursed under his breath. "Why won't he die?" Thrawn paced the command deck, thinking of a solution. "How many assassin droids do we have on board?"

Captain Teler quickly butted in. "We have twenty of the droids Admiral, they can be dispatched immediately."

Thrawn gave a rare smile "See to it that Senator Hawkins does not leave the planet alive, I want him dead."

"Yes Admiral, at once."

Coruscant

The garrisons were now moving swiftly through the wreckage, clearing out the survivors and killing the remaining enemy ground troops. However an eight Kilometre no go zone had been established around the senate dome, rumours were spreading around the planet that it was in fact the senate that had orchestrated this attack, that it had been under the leadership of senator Deshi and the rest of her colleagues. It was to the public the only viable solution as to why the defences failed, why the fleet was absent and why the garrisons had been removed form their positions. The only reason the senate failed to escape in time was due to the prompt arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Imperial first fleet, this was a rumour that has yet to be confirmed or discredited by Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The pinnace continued to descend closing in on the senators transponder signal.

Stumbling through the wreckage of the Senate dome an Imperial regiment was making its way towards the office section. Along the floor lay hundreds of dead. Aides, troops, alien invaders all of them bleeding until the corridors ran red with blood. Commander Adrian Guillroy was the leader of this particular expedition, his force of two hundred Strom troopers and twenty assassin droids were combing the structure, thermal imaging from orbit revealed life forms in this sector only six minutes ago and it would not be long until they were spotted.

"Commander." A anominous stormtrooper announced. "I think I have something, its a small pheromone trail but we have it."

Turning, the commander looked at the soldier. "Well follow it man, come on, lead the way." As the team stumbled through the ruins of the once mighty seat of government the team stopped as they began to hear muffled voices. "We need to get out of this building, this does not seem right." “Not yet ma’am, he is closing in on the senators position though.”

“Captain, the jamming doesn’t appear to be emanating from the Alien fleet, its beginning produced by Imperial sources planet side and from the fleet.”

“W-What?” the commander blurted uncharacteristically losing her composure. Why would the Imperials jam their own communication network, what reason would they have for it? She could think of many reasons and none of them were to her liking.

With a snort Guillroy merely ignored Hawkings threat. "Senators, I am acting under the authorisation of Grand Admiral Thrawn, in accordance of civil policing act New Empire year eighteen twelve, paragraph three, subsection four. Seeing as how only the senate building was destroyed and not the democratic institution it represents, as you can see there are survivors, duly elected senators who represent the will of the electorate. The government has not failed for we will not let a few lasers and bombs kill it.”

He continued in a low even voice,

“Your orders are illegal and thus have no bias and I will not respect them. If the admiral wants to question me he can talk to me face to face, instead of sending one of his cronnies who shouldn't have left his precious desk and its stack of papers."

"Uh, Mom?" Fiona said. "What about me?"

"It only applies to Senators, honey." Jennifer said. "I suggest you go and get in contact with your brother. You and he will know what to do with this alien invasion."

"All right." Fiona said, and hugged her mother, ("Find the Jurian Princess. You know the code." Her mom whispered in her ear) then started walking away. "I'll see you later, Mom!"

Commander Guillroy smirked at the two captives. "Senators please remove your weapons that could constitute a threat to me and my men, such as lightsabres, blasters, mines, flash weapons or any other firearms." Turning towards an aide the commander opened a small case, with his free hand he pulled up two metal bands. "These are class one Neural disrupters, they will shut down your ability to use the force by scrambling specific thought patterns in your brain. If you attempt to draw on the force, these fantastic devices will administer a crippling bio electric charge, which will render you unconscious for a few days. So senators please, put them on." "Commander Guillroy to dropship Hera, we are ready for evacuation, the senators are safely in custody."

“When I attack them, make a break for it Jennifer, jump to the top of the ruined building behind us, the pinnace will pick you up. I’ll keep them off your back for as long as I am able. Whatever happens don’t look back for a second speed and intensity is key, I wouldn’t be able to hold them off forever, it is important that you get out of here and let the other know what’s happening, besides Daniel would get all pissy if I let you get captured, May the force be with you!” Hawkins said mentally to Jennifer using the force, the whole speech took only a few moments, in that time Hawkins took full stock of the situation, he would be heavily outnumbered, assassin droids hovered above, storm troopers surrounding them. Hawkins was born a marine and they were a purely offensive unit, fire and maneuver they called it, in another universe it would be called the Joshua Chamberlain tactic, what do you do when outnumbered and out gunned? The answer is simply attack, head on, with as much violence and intensity you can muster. Granted it was a desperate act but this was as desperate of a situation as they get.

Hawkins did have one thing going for him, he was a Jedi and the force was his ally and a most power ally it was.

As the two storm troopers approached the senator, his black cloak swirling in the wind, Hawkins calmed his mind and allowed the force to flow through his veins, becoming its conduit, he became at peace and from this state of tranquility a Jedi could launch the most intense assaults.

With an out thrust palm Hawkins unleashed a mighty force push against the two troopers, even before it effected them he launched himself a blur towards the Imperial Commander unleashing a mighty war cry with his light saber in hand he struck the commander in his jaw hopefully stunning him for a good while. This all occurred in less then two seconds.

Hawkins now saw a pair of assassin droids and igniting his white blue blade he jumped behind them both with a mighty sweep of the blade hopefully cleaving the droids in half, he stood there for a second awaiting the Imperials response before he launched a second assault. Hopefully Jennifer was running away fast at this point.

As the Jedi moved towards the droids his lightsabre swirled in a wave of blue, impacting with expert precision it met the finely equiped assasin droids shields bouncing off uselessly into the Coruscant air. The technologial marvels turned in unison, all twenty advancing on the Jedi flanked by two hundred storm troopers, Hawkins was now between a rock and a hard place.

Hawkins realized that he was being thrown threw the air when he impacted the brick wall with his left shoulder. Using the force and combat tactics ingrained in him since marine boot, he rolled as he hit the ground to his knee, deflecting the numerous blaster bolts back upon those who shot them at him.

He fought forward attempting to close with his enemies his blade a blur reflect most of what was sent at him, his body twisting and narrowly dodging the pulse blast sent at him, no one could doubt Hawkins skill as a fighter, but even the best fighters can not fight such torrential numbers forever. He had to try though so Jennifer Masaki could escape this trap. He fought on.

Then one of the pulse blast caught him in his already injured left shoulder throwing Hawkins back into the wall again, with a sickening thud, he fell to his knees. He got to his feet again and advanced forward, his left arm hung limp and blooded visible through his robe’s tattered sleeve obviously dislocated. He fortified himself with the Jedi code against the pain, “There is no emotion only peace” He grunted to himself. Then another blast struck him in his chest, the pain was unbelievable as his ribs broke and he was thrown into the next room where he fell sitting slumped against the far wall.

Kasra Stargazer, Admiral of the Vampad Fleet sat at his desk in the Citadel at the heart of the capital. He was staring outside of the window at the red clouds as the suns rays shone through them like tie fighters breaking through enemy lines.

He rubbed his nose and then straightened his rank plaque. He was never into political stations, only war. He lived for war. He waited for war.

He ordered out his paperwork and stood up and walked over to the window. The buildings accompanied by the continuous line of speeders was always soothing to him. Suddenly, a low ranking officer burst into the room.

"Sir! We have an urgent message on the reserved holonet from Coruscant! It seems as if an alien force has penetrated its defences and hit big!"

"Lieutenant, get me the Governer on the holonet and put the fleet to code red. We are to close all shuttle ports for the time being."

"Yes sir."

Kasra walked over to the holonet and on the screen, an old man appeared who was obviously in disarray.

"Governer, this is the Admiral, I take it you have heard the news."

"Of course, I have suggested that we close all the shuttle ports."

Kasra raised his eyebrows. The Governer was always one step behind him when it came to incidents.

"Governer, I am sending a task force to Coruscant where I will meet with officials to find out what happened."

"Very well, Admiral."

Kasra walked out of his office and down the hallway to the landing bay. At the landing bay, 2 stormtroopers stood to attention in front of a Lambda-class Shuttle.

"Admiral, we have set co-ordinates to take you to Star Dock 2D."

Kasra walked up the ramp into the shuttle and strapped himself in. The other stormtroopers did the same and the ramp closed. The shuttle roared into life and began its ascent to the Star Dock.

As the shuttle approached the Star Dock, they were tractor beamed in. Kasra could see the glint coming from the small task force ships that were already docked.

As the shuttle docked, Captain Keler greeted Kasra and took him to his Command ship.

"Captain, ready the other ships and prepare hyperspace for Coruscant."

"Yes, Admiral."

Kasra was escourted to the bridge where he took a seat in the main chair. Keler stood beside him and watched over the crew as they prepared for the jump.

Kasra looked out of the left viewport at the other ships that included:

2 Imperator Mk III-class Star Destroyers and 3 Carrack Mk II-class Light Cruisers. This was a short glance, as soon the stars turned into streams as they entered hyperspace.

"Captain, ready the pilots for any resistance we may meet in the Coruscant system."

"Yes, Admiral. May I suggest we up security in the bridge?"

"Captain, I think we'll be ok, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared for the worst. I want a squad outside the doors to only admit who i say so."

"This is GNN"

http://www.st-minutiae.com/academy/anthropology114A/news4.gif

A thin, tall human female sits behind a large oak desk waiting for her cue. The numbers count down to zero and she begins to tell the Galaxy of the attack on Coruscant.

"Ladies and Gentleman, as you all know yesterday at Four Seventeen Coruscant Standard time the capital suffered a direct and crippling attack from an unknown and alien source. Millions have been killed, with over eight percent of the city district destroyed. But as I'm sure, you are all asking how did these aliens bypass our defensives so easily? From an independent source inside the Imperial Navy GNN has been able to secure information on the exact order of events. At Eight Sixteen Courscant standard time an alien fleet bypassed all of our outer defensives and reached Coruscant by the Hildalian Hyperspace route, a classified passage that is normally only used for state officials to guarantee their safety and security. At Eight seventeen, the planetary shield was raised providing Coruscant with its traditional security, however for some yet undisclosed reason, the planetary shield fell along with our primary defensives. As a result the bombardment of Coruscant ensued until Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Imperial Navy arrived to assist in defeating the alien foe. We have yet to receive confirmation as to why the defences buckled so easily however with the military pointing fingers at the senate and rumours of alien intervention and betrayal at the highest levels of government the truth is bound to come out."

The screen flicked off as Grand Admiral Thrawn walked out of the room. As he entered the bridge he received a stiff salute from every officer present. Making his way towards the command chair the Admiral looked down upon Coruscant, his view instead of a towering mass of sky scrapers was in fact one of a black moon scared landscape. "It was worth it." He said to himself. "The Empire will benefit in the long run."

The dropship descended with a gentle thud. The Hellfires landing platforms were surprisingly empty considdering the circumstances, but the pilots were as careful as ever. "Dropship Hera to Docking Command, requesting prisoner transfer and refuelling." The channel remained silent for a few seconds as the docking bay gradually filled with Storm Troopers.

"Hera you have permission to open your landing bay." As the ramp lowered Guards began pouring out, in the middle lay two Storm troopers on stretchers, sadly killed by this so called jedi, he would be put on trial for his crimes that was now set in stone. As Hawkins himself was brought out, tied up like an animal he was glared upon by every Trooper there. His stay on the Hellfire would not be a pleasant one.

Leading the procession Commander Guillroy made his way to the bridge to consult with the Grand Admiral. Entering the direct hyperlift he was in Thrawns presence in mere seconds. Arriving he realised that the Grand Admiral was already waiting for him, his red eyes stabbing into him from across the command deck. "I assume commander Guillroy you are here to report your success?" Thrawn boomed from across the bridge. Hastily making his way to the Admiral Guillroy saluted and proceeded to report.

"Everything has gone according to your plan Admiral, the Jedi attempted to escape and in doing saw former Senator Hawkins killed two Storm troopers. As you requested senator Masaki was allowed to escape, everything is on holo footage for your review and editing."

Thrawn tilted his head in a quaint smile. 'Thank you commander, now see to it that the Chronosian delegation meets Senator Hawkins, I believe they have a grudge to settle."

As Guillroy left the Bridge the Grand Admiral had already entered a conversation from a vessel leaving the Coruscant atmosphere.

"Imperial Command I request a parley with the Grand Admiral as is my right under the Joint-Military Acts concerning the well-being of Senator Hawkins?" She said calmly."

"Commander, you are most welcome to come aboard to discuss the Senators situation, however I must say that his crimes are most severe." Thrawn remained calm and composed and waiting for a response.

The Grand Admiral was having a busy day indeed, with the incident on Coruscant and the arrival of several allied delegations he was going to have to move the plan forward, a most unexpected but yet necessary solution. The Empire was falling for the incident, the ideas of alien invasion and unknown threats had been issued many months before the actual attack, and with the Coruscant incident the people were now screaming for help.

Brought out of his stream of thought Thrawn was suprised to see an officer attempting to rouse him. "Admiral, we have several communications for you."

Sighing Thrawn realised he would have to get used to diplomacy again, one thing his predecessors hated. "Put them through on channel one."

The screen flicked over and another delegate appeared, though this time respect and concern was on the mans face. Imperial Navy - This is the Imperial Armada, Grand Admiral Dangar commanding. Can we be of assistance? Is there anything we can do to help the wounded? We wish to assure you that we will assist you in hunting down these evil murders, and bring them to justice.
"Admiral Dangar, thank you for your assistance in the rescue of Coruscant, I and my people are in your debt. As for who perpetrated this vile act our intelligence agencies have some leads, however I would be honoured if you would dine with me tonight so we can better discuss the situation."
Once again the screen flicked to another delegate, this time it was from Admiral Stargazer. Thrawn composed himself, there was going to be a need for diplomacy here, especially for such a recent member of the Empire. "Admiral, welcome to Coruscant, I only wish that it were under better circumstances, however as you can see the situation is chaotic at best. We are still attempting to ascertain who comitted this act but I assure you, we will find out. I would be honoured if you would dine with me tonight so we may discuss the situation in more depth, other dignitaries will be attending."

Welcome to all our viewers, this is a special broadcast by GNN. Today at eight fifteen Coruscant standard GNN has learned from confidential souces within the Imperial Navy that the alien attack was purpotrated and organised by none other than the late Senator Edna Deshi. A strong opposer to the military reformation and Thrawn act which would see an increased military patrol on our borders. Senator Deshi abused her powers as an elected representative to Veto the act, allowing the alien invasion to commence. GNN has also learned the cause of the shield and defence grid faliure, it has been confirmed by our reputable sources that none other than the senators personal access codes were used to access top secret facilities where key power juctions were detonated. This treason extending so far up the chain of power has not gone unoticed by the Grand Admirals. As a specific security caution the Imperial ground forces were ordered to take all senators still alive into custody for necessary questioning, however we have confirmed reports and actual footage of two senators resisting arrest.

*Footage is played of Senator Masaki and Hawkins resisting arrest.*

"The resulting and unprovoked violence by Senator Hawkins resulted in the death of two storm troopers, who died in the line of service for the Empire. Grand Admiral Thrawn is reportedly preparing to hold a special service for them, recognising the years of loyalty served to the Empire. Former Senator Hawkins however will be tried for his crimes under Imperial law.
Jennifer Masaki is still at large any information leading to her arrest will result in a five million reward in Galactic Credits.

President Bryan Sandler of Coreworlds has just read the latest news reports from the Empire, and was not amused when the blurb of the famous heroine Jennifer Masaki being placed under a bounty appeared over the Holonet. He decided to make a call to the Grand Admiral, making it a High Priority message. For the Senator to resist arrest, something is getting fishy around here.

----

"Mom." I said quietly, watching what everyone else in the galaxy is watching. "What is happening out there?"

"Sir, the fleet has been raised to full alert status as per your orders under the martial law. Admiral Pellaeon sends his regards to you." An aide said.

"Thank you." I said absentmindedly, and waved her away, resting my chin on my hands in thought. I pulled elements from Admiral Pellaeon's 3rd Fleet to help in the defense of Wayland in case the aliens decided to attack here, but I'm more concerned about my mom and my sister.

So, Grand Admiral Thrawn, you have effectively declared the Empire a military dictatorship once again. How do you feel now that there would be more uprisings than ever before as you attempt to crack down on dissidence? I thought. Already I've sent out operatives to see what else we could fish up, but if the Grand Admiral perpetrated this, he'll cover his tracks with as much snow as possible to get even the Black Order off-track from the truth, especially if it could discredit him. Still, it's an interesting challenge to try and outfox the Chiss. I began to smile, telekinesing chess pieces from my shelf into the air, and in their beginning lines. Looks like it's time to play chess with you again...sir.

Great black armored warriors stepped from the ship; a small craft which had only recently docked with the Sith ship. The Marines were silent, their faces betraying not purpose or emotion as they advanced; slowly; before pausing at the commanding officer. "We have come..." the dry hiss from within the helmet "To interrogate the Wickian prisoner...We have express authorisation from the Emperor of Chronosia, and your regeant...You will let us pass"

With that they were lead deeper into the ship; a code keyed in; a door slid open, the inner sanctum dark and cold...As the Chronosians came upon the good Senator

"But Mom, I can't let you stay aboard! You'll get hurt if they catch you!" Fiona cried.

"I know, honey, but you need to let your brother know everything." Jennifer hugged her. "I can't endanger him because he helped me go into hiding. You know that."

"I know, I know." Fiona cried, eyes tearing up as she headed for the shuttle bay. Actually, she'll teleport. "Bye, Mom."

"Good bye, my dear." Jennifer said, as Fiona apparated towards Wayland. Then she narrowed her eyes, as the Force told her something. "Captain, I would like you to take me out of this system, please. My son looks like he's about to capture me."

She was talking about the Star Destroyer that was now hailing the cruiser and powering up weapons.
Two more began to surround it.

-----

Fiona reappeared behind me.

"Hey, sis! Where's Mom?" I said when I noticed her crying.

"Still on the ship above."

With a bounty on her head, too, the ships would fire as soon as they hear who's on board, nevermind my orders.

"Sir, permission to engage the cruiser? It's not responding."

"No--uh, well..." I thought about it for a second, then smirked. Why not? After all, five million credits is a nice addition to the accounts... "Commence firing. My mother's on board, and I want her captured, immediately."

"WHAT?!" Fiona shouted.

----

"Very good!" The captain smiled as the Black Order reported that Senator Masaki is on board the ship, and to capture her would include a promotion when Thrawn gets word. Betray your own mother? Never thought you had it in you, kid! "Open fire!"

"Engaging, sir!"

Green turbolasers then began lancing out for the heavy cruiser, in an attempt to disable the ship.

Hawkins sat in his dark cell what else could he do? He knew not how long he had been in the cell. He was in a lot of pain as it was after all the imperials haven’t given him any medical attention he had at least a couple broken ribs. It was worst but he had managed to put his shoulder back into place, such things were taught to a marine. He was chained to the wall by his wrists and his situation was worsened by his lack of ability to access the force because of the damnable inhibitor. He watched his guests enter his cell and he greeted them warmly,

“Ahh I see bellhop has finally arrived, you can put my baggage by the patio and do send room service up, I am quite famished.”

Lt. Commander Brain Dunbar was taken back a bit by the Black Order's ships display of firepower. Due to the nation of his vessels propulsion using an impellor wedge, two gravitic bands constantly protected the ventral and dorsal sections of the ship as well as were capable of propelling the ship. Sidewalls were the shields on the flank of the ship which essential deflected, distorted, degraded, and absorbed any energy weapons, and so it was much of the lightshow was sent off in other directions at oblique angles from where they struck.

Some got through of course and inflicted damage, a Heavy Cruiser was more then a kilometer long however it lacked the armor or fire power of an ISD, though it had something else of use in this situation that an ISD did not have, maneuverability.

“Helm full military Acceleration” Dunbar ordered pushing the ship to its limits, he looked at his helmsmen Chief Killian an old salty veteran. “Put her on her nose chief get us out of here!” He ordered the chief pushing his joystick forwards making the vessel parallel to the vertical axis as it leapt away from the Black Watch ships. He had to get to the hyper limit to jump into hyper, the fold drive would be charging for at least two days.

“All tubes go to rapid fire with Cripplers!” Dunbar ordered as 20 missiles leapt from his ships flanks every 15 seconds. Each was essential a normal laser head missile but instead of detonating and pelting the enemy with a Graser comparable to a turbo laser it struck with Ion beams.

The missiles slammed into the shielding of the Star Destroyer, blossoming with energy as they impacted and detonated, turning into lightning that scattered across and blew electronic components on the hull. The shields worked hard to dissipate the energy, but it was only a matter of time before three on one overrides the range advantage of the missiles. The Star Destroyers continued to press the attack, trading fire back and forth with the heavy cruiser as it tried to make it's way out beyond it's hyper limit.

Diana Niota pinnace landed inside one of the Hellfire’s landing bay, as she descended the ramp she noticed the officer sent to greet her. As she walked in front of him she took him in. He was quite the imperial officer she thought built like a scarecrow of a man quite ugly with a crooked nose, no doubt he thought himself to be the reincarnation of Moff Tarkin. What was most striking about him was the large bruise on his jaw, his doctors may have fixed the damage but that must have hurt, clearly the senator gave the turd a good fight.

She saluted him professionally nonetheless,

“Permission to come aboard sir?”

They were almost there another five minutes and they would be safely into hyper. The three ISD's were finally able to follow his cruisers course and there massive guns spewed their hate at his ship. They were long shots and their chances of hitting were slim due to the ECM being pumped out by his ship but with that much firepower hits did get through. The ship shaking violently with each impact.

A heavy cruiser of the Confederacy Navy was called a fifth-rate ship and whose firepower was relativity equal to a VSD at the cost of armor though. A larger ship such as a Battle cruiser could stand toe to toe with a ISD, his ship could but would be plastered in the end, though the ISD would not have had a fun time of it. There were three ISD chasing him though. So yeah he was running, as fast as he could.

Then the Black Order ships got lucky as a massive beam impacted the rear impellor ring,

"Alpha nodes 22 and 24 are gone, as well as four beta nodes from the aft impeller ring, acceleration is falling to 300 gravities the wedge is fluctuating!" the damage control officer reported.

"Understood, time to the limit?"

"Three minutes, sir!" the navigation officer stated.

"Time until the lead ISD overtakes us?"

"Fifty seconds sir." Tactical responded.

"Chief bring her nose up show them our roof" the lt. commander ordered, the movement would interpose the protective wedge between the impstar and his damage ship while still allowing him to withdrawal, his ship wouldn't be able to return fire though.

Commander Guillroy saluted back. "Welcome to the Hellfire. I have been instructed to take you to meet with Grand Admiral Thrawn immediately." Please follow me to the hyper-lift.

As the two made their way across the grand docking bay the hyperlift arrived. Its doors opening with incredible speed sent a little hiss through the cavernous room. As the two stepped into the lift, Guillroy commanded that they go to the bridge.

As the lift slowed, the doors opened revealing a tall, thin alien with pale blue skin. "Greetings Commander, I'm afraid we will have to leave the pleasantries behind for a moment as we have something of great concern. The head of the Black Order Daniel Masaki has, by using methods of the force located his mother. She is in one of your cruisers. Upon request to surrender Jennifer Masaki, your ship refused and attempted to flee, we therefore have had no option but to attempt to disable the vessel. She is putting up quite a fight, but perhaps you can order them to give up the senator?"

She was surprised that news from Wayland could have been received that quickly, but that's what the Black Order was good at she supposed. Her surprise and concern showed on her face only for a second before she answered the admiral.

"I do not see any reason to countermand my own orders Admiral. Lt. Commander Dunbar is acting well within his lawful orders. Jennifer Masaki has come to my nation and requested and received alyssum as a political refugee, the senator is now fully protected as a citizen of my nation. Of course she could be extricated if you request the official papers from the Senate but that may prove somewhat difficult right now, no?" The mocking tone in her voice was quite clear, and she tacked on a "sir" at the end as a kind of after thought.

"Admiral I request to be allowed to see Senator Hawkins to make sure he is being properly cared for as is allowed by the Selonia Accords."

The captain smiled. "We're gaining on them. Prepare boarding parties!"

"Yes, sir!"

Stormtroopers piled into assault shuttles and got ready for the signal to deploy to the enemy ship and retrieve the Senator.

-----

I hope you will survive this, my children, whatever happens to me. The Senator sighed, knowing that a rift would open between brother and sister. She knew Daniel had to capture her, or try to at least, under the martial law but she regretted the whole affair that will probably tear apart the family. It would be up to her father-in-law Alex to hold it together. She winced, as the ship shook from another nasty blow from turbolasers, but sat tight in her seat. If the Imperials managed to board, they're going to have to face and defeat a Jedi if they want her.

-----

Fiona launched herself at me, pounding my face in anger and streaking tears. Naruto and the twins had to pull her off before she could reach for her lightsaber.

"Daniel! Why? What have you become?!" She cried, sobbing. "For Force's sake, stop it, please!"

"Fiona..." I said, wiping off a split lip. "You don't understand. I have to do this."

"No you don't! Daddy would be ashamed of you if he still lived! I hate you!" She tore away from the twins, and ran out, sobbing and running for her room.

The words tore at my heart like a sharp knife, threatening to overwhelm me with grief. I forced myself to push aside my emotions for the moment, not realizing (or caring) that I've just reopened the doorway to the Dark Side. Taylor and Jacob were dismayed, but I think they understood when I told them what I had to do. I know Grandpa would understand, but Dad? I don't think I want to face him...

"Clear to jump sir!" the navigation officer stated."

"Configure Warshawski Sails" Dunbar order as the impeller wedge died and was replaced with the four discs of the warshawski sails that allowed movement through the hyper space grav waves.

The now exposed ship shook as it sustained damage now that the wedge transitioning to the sails, but it was only for a moment then the damaged ship was away into hyperspace. Its destination would be the Crown Point Fleet Station on the border of the Galactic Empire and the Farstars cluster.

One of the Star Destroyers jumped after the cruiser, intent on capturing it himself while the other two went back to patrol duty.

I sighed, having mixed feelings about me now. Glad that Mom is still alive, worried about her being hunted down, and concerned about my sister, who wouldn't come out of her room. I sighed. Sometimes even if they live right next door to me, juggling family and work is still very hard. Plus there's the fact that the twins are almost ready to undergo their first mission, and I need to think about what I could give them that's challenging, yet survivable...

Ladies and Gentleman, we have an exclusive announcement to make by Grand Admiral Thrawn. The screen flicked over as the Admiral appeared on the channel. Sitting behind a large metal desk, with a picture of the Death Star behind him Thrawn waited for a moment to before he began.

"People and loyal citizens of the Empire, it is with my sad regret to now let you know the details of what happened only one day ago. Currently, you know that an alien fleet attacked Coruscant. You know that our defences were crippled within, and that we were betrayed by Senator Deshi and her colleague former Senator Jennifer Masaki. However what you do not know is that Imperial intelligence has located the source of this alien threat. We tracked the alien fleet heading back towards its homebase located within The Fedral Union and the Empire of Klington, this in itself is incriminating, however the Empire has also detected large fleet movements within both nations at this time. I believe that The Fedral Union and the Empire of Klington are about to invade the Empire, therefore I have issued as regent, a declaration of war upon them both. We will not let this cowardly act weaken us. We will get our revenge, and I assure every grieving mother, every orphaned son that revenge will be swift.

An hour later his ship was secured in dry-dock and the repairs on his ship commenced. I know you would like some rest or at least a shower but our long range hyperspace patrols have detected an Imperial Task Force en-route to our position here. "It is safe for us to talk here we've made sure know one is listening, there are several options we can take now, you are welcome to stay here or you can flee to where the Imperials can not find you, ill dispatch one of my destroyers as a transport for you. As each Admiral saluted the assembled storm troopers stood to attention. "Now Admiral, shall we proceed to the bridge?" Thrawn pointed the way. "I have to say its been far too long since I met a representative from your nation, and truthfully I can never be bothered meeting those dribbles from the diplomatic core, you can never understand a word they're saying." The two Admirals entered the Hyperlift. "But onto more important things, as you are aware the Empire is in its darkest hours, we suffered a direct attack from The Fedral Union and the Empire of Klington. We believe, and this information has not been made public that they were assisted by rebel operatives holding out in the annexed colony of the Farstars. The nation has been getting out of line recently, I believe its time we took it back under control, that end I have ordered the Death Star to enter the region and maintain order." Thrawn laughed slightly. "Let us see if they still wish to rebel..."

Commander Guillroy fell to the floor in pain from the headbutt. "You will regret that you bitch." Getting to his feat Guillroy moved towards her once more - this time he kept a little distance - "You have refused, to give up a traitor to the Empire, you are therefore a traitor yourself, you will love what we do with traitors.... Take her to interrogation room C."

As the Chronosians were making progress with Knight Hawkins a direct order was issued to have him transferred immediately. As screaming eminated from the closed cell, two Storm Troopers entered both in their polished white uniforms. "Sirs, we have orders to take him for DNA sampling and cerebral mapping, he will be returned to you in a few hours. The Grand Admiral thought it best before he was too badly damaged." The Storm Troopers stood nervously waiting for the Chronosians to back away.

Admiral Malin laughed as he entered the Bridge. It has been a long time. He thought to himself. The command chair still covered in a protective sheet was a testament to how peaceful the Empire had become, a testament to how stagnent the nation that he built had become, all thanks to the Senate. Pulling the dust sheet off Malin coughed a little, everything seemed to be in order, the Farstars were rebelling yet again, and the Empire had yet again sent him to deal with the situation...

Lt. Commander Dunbar breathed a sigh of relief as his damaged ship re-translated back into real space near the massive Crown Point Fleet Station. He immediately send an FTL comms burst to the station explaining the situation, the station commander ordered his ship to the repair dock and also requested to speak with Senator Masaki. An hour later his ship was secured in dry-dock and the repairs on his ship commenced. Senator Masaki was given a marine honor guard as an honor to her person and position as she was escorted to the station commander’s quarters. Upon entering the quarters she would have been greeted by the soothing tones of classical music, the station commander Vice Admiral Khulmalo was an old scared veteran of the rebellion served on Admiral Brooks’ staff during the Battle of Hades, rose and greeted her as she entered.

"Welcome to Crown Point Senator, though I wish it was under these circumstances however. I know you would like some rest or at least a shower but our long range hyperspace patrols have detected an Imperial Task Force en-route to our position here. We know not their numbers or composition, but you have been given asylum and it is the Navy's duty to protect that."

He cleared his throat before continuing,

"It is safe for us to talk here we've made sure know one is listening, there are several options we can take now, you are welcome to stay here or you can flee to where the Imperials can not find you, ill dispatch one of my destroyers as a transport for you. My people never let the rebellion die Senator, its been kept alive in our hearts, as well as in fact. We still maintain numerous bases on the Rim and in the "Unknown Regions" we can get you to one of those, Senator.

An entire battle group and a carrier task force comprised Fleet responsible for maintaining the defense of Crown Point and upon hearing the news that Lt. Commander Dunbar brought along with Commander Niota final dispatches they readied themselves for a battle.
"Thank you, Admiral." The senator said. "As you may or may not know, the Empire has branded the Senate traitors when Coruscant was attacked. It is now a military dictatorship once again. Indeed, the Rebellion never dies. Even if my son is no longer with it..."

Daniel...would you really destroy everything you've fought for just to get at me? The senator asked. She knew that her son does not like to lose against those who engage him and survive. Eventually, he will pursue even his own mother, and engage her forces. Tears ran down her cheek as the later-to-be-named Tragedy of the Masakis began.

----

Mother. I was in my room that night, unable to sleep. Love for her clashed against duty for the battle of my soul. I can't do this. I just can't!

Frustrated at my inability to sleep and the events, I walked out into the hallway, absently returning salutes from soldiers. I needed to find Grandpa.

I found him in Fiona's room, putting the covers on her. "Will she be alright."

"Yes. You want to talk to me?"

"Yeah. I do." I said, as he closed the door. "I can't sleep, because I don't know what to do."

"While my brothers are ok, since they take after you, me and Dad, I don't know about my sister." I said. "She really hit me there, telling me what they knew about the Senate being targets in a coup. Now I'm not so sure whether to pursue Mom."

"While it is ultimately your decision, Daniel, I suggest that you do it before the Admiral does. By the way, your mother is effectively a Jedi Master now." Alex said, and I raised my head in surprise. I'd thought they would do that once Fiona is a Knight. "The Council has in absentia voted her a Jedi Master for her courage during the times against the Sith, and as Senator and now Senator-in-exile. Master Rydo also had a Force-communication with her and put up the vote. Fiona, well, her notice to prepare for her Trials is on her desk. She'll read it in the morning."

"Should cheer her up some." I nodded. "But what about..."

"Jennifer? Well, I'd suggest you have her go to Tatooine or some other Outer Rim planet to retire." Alex said. "Forced retirement is always better than what is likely planned by the Admiral."

"She won't like it, not with rebellions still around which she could use against the Empire." I said. "I'd really have to persuade her. She might duel to stop me from taking her, though."

"She will, I can tell you that." Alex smiled. "She's far more stubborn than your father was. I don't know how they managed to hit it off in the first place. Your sister is much like her, too."

"Well, Dad could be...decidedly persuasive when he had to be." I smiled, as well. "I only hope I inherited that trait..."

"Yes. That could be the deciding factor." Alex said. "Now about the twins, they're ready to take their first mission, right?"

"Yeah. As their Master, I believe they should start learning what's it truly means to be a Jedi. As their brother, I feel like keeping close to them, though."

"As a compromise, I suggest you take a mission together. Naruto and I can continue to hold down the fort, you know." Alex replied. "They might also be able to presuade your mother as well. In the meantime, there's a large child-slave and drug ring at Thyferra that needs cleaning out. There's an Order operative in place to help you out."

"The Bacta Planet? Alright." I said, then yawned. "I'll leave with them in the morning. Good night."

"Good night, Daniel." Alex said, and watched his 18-going-19 year old grandson head back to bed, before heading to Central Command to take the night watch.

OOC: US invited me to this thread, so here I am. Better late then never eh?

IC: "So Ambassador, did this Grand Admiral Thrawn say why he wants to meet us?" Fleet Admiral Armishaw asked Jane Callahan.

Jane sighed, "Probably about that whole attack thing we picked up off GNN."

"I don't think TFU or Klington could have done it. They may be arrogant but they're not stupid." Armishaw replied. He didn't like this, it didn't feel right. And he hated when he got that feeling. It all to often meant trouble.

"That's not the issue here Admiral. We just have to make sure he doesn't some how drag us into this too." Jane said spitefully, she looked around the flag deck, "I guess that's why you insisted on coming in the Midgard?"

Armishaw smiled, that was indeed why he had refused to come along unless they arrived in his massive flagship. "You can never have too much firepower Ambassador."

The astrogator spoke up, "Thirty seconds to wave decay Admiral."

Armishaw nodded in acknowledgment. The time passed quickly and suddenly the space around Coruscant came into view.

The sky was filled with warships. "I think you were right to bring the Midgard Admiral." Jane murmured, Armishaw nodded.

"Comm send this out on all frequencies, This is Fleet Admiral Armishaw of the XNV Midgard. I and Ambassador Callahan are here to meet with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Please respond."

Grand Admiral Thrawn welcomed the TIN delegate. "Welcome to the Hellfire Admiral, I am Grand Admiral Thrawn it is a pleasure to meet you." As each Admiral saluted the assembled storm troopers stood to attention.

"Admiral Thrawn Perhaps you could bring us up to speed on the Klington/Federal Union situation. We have had little contact with these nations, except for the Reports we get from the GE core every month. The Emperor is also awaiting an update, and wishes to know what the hell happened here."

Dangar took a console from his pocket.

"According to these reports..."

Dangar handed the console to Thrawn.

"The Federal Union have been throwing their weight around a lot lately, and their merchant ships are comming very close to our borders... it makes us suspicious. We have only just crushed an alien menace on the Planet Celeborne, and now my leaders are becomming very paranoid. We need reassurance that the rebels and the Federal Union will be crushed swiftly. We shall pledge our fleet to aid in it's destruction."

The next morning, I got up, finally refreshed. I noticed the clock. It was 8:00 am standard time, a little late, but nothing to worry about. But as a Dog of the Empire, I had to get up sometime. After washing up, brushing my teeth, and getting into a jogging suit, I headed out into the mountains, noticing Naruto fighting with his Kage Bunshin clones for his everyday exercise before his shift begins. I then set to jogging around the mountains, watching carefully for the predators that prowl in the forests.

2 miles out, 2 miles back, I headed back into the Order HQ to shower and get my usual clothes on before heading to breakfast. I could see that the twins are also getting up. After the shower and redress, an aide gave me the latest intel reports, plus 'propaganda' papers like the Coruscant Times. I tend to like comparing the two, to see how accurate they are. As I drank my juice and ate cereal, the twins entered the room, and unlike their bounding times of yesteryear, they bowed to me first, then went to their breakfast. Discipline's pretty good...

They still prefer the comics section, so I left it for them and read reports from Order members. One is on Coruscant itself and reported that still the Senate is off-limits, but it's rebuilding. On Farstars, rumors of my mother's arrival had me still a bit concerned, but I knew she could take care of herself. When I finished my breakfast, I put down the paper.

"Hey, Taylor, Jacob." I said to them, as they were eating Froot Loops.

"Yeah?" Taylor asked, his mouth full, then he chewed and swallowed. "What is it?"

"After breakfast, I would like you two to head to the hangar bay as soon as possible."

"Wha--? We go a mission?" Talyor exclaimed.

"It's true, brother?" Jacob asked.

"Yup." I grinned, and they cheered. "Don't eat too fast."

They slowed down a bit, then finished their bowls and drank down the orange juice. Wiping their mouths, I chuckled as they raced towards the hanger, nearly knocking over a couple soldiers in the process. I finished up the rest of the paper, then once it was done, I teleported to the hangar bay, right when they arrived, toting clothes in their small backpacks.

"Jeez, Dan, we gotta learn that!" Taylor breathed.

"Oh, you will." I smirked. "You guys will."

I just hoped it doesn't take a moment of crisis to do it, they won't be able to control it that well in that situation. Well, to compensate, Taylor can toss fireballs or iceballs, and Jacob can alchemy the ground into mud under the bad guys...

I escorted them through a couple of fighters and chose a 20 meter long shuttle dubbed the Flying Shark, because that's what it resembled. With tooth-like laser cannons on the front, then a 'dorsal fin' and 'ventral fins' that fold and a thinner 'tail' that projects from the engines. it does look like one of the Terran creatures or their otherworldly analogs. The twins and I stepped into the Flying Shark, and I keyed in the ignition capacitors to start up the engines. A ship like this hasn't been used yet, so we should be more easily able to slip in Thyferra, rescue the kids and burn the drugs, then slip out. Easier said than done though, but with 3 instead of one Jedi (despite the twins being 'mere' apprentices), chances of success are higher. I lifted off from the hangar bay with clearance, and then zoomed towards the sky, ready to jump into hyperspace...

Admiral Malin paced the command deck, the feel below his boots was one of absolute power, the Death Star gave that feeling, perhaps it was due to the Hyperfusion reactor, or the ability to destroy an entire world in seconds, only a psychologist would be able to answer that question. "Time until we reach Exartha?" Malin demanded.

From below in the command pit a nameless officer quickly responded. "Five minutes Admiral." The Death Star had been out on recent patrols when the direct order had been issued by Grand Admiral Thrawn, the station was to secure Jennifer Masaki at all costs, and that the Admiral should be creative in his methods. As time ticked by the engines slowly adjusted and decreased in power until they finally stopped and the Death Star was reduced to sublight velocities. As the sensors were activated the holographic map came to life. Malin watched as every ship, asteroid, and dust particle in the system was registered and scanned.

"Take the station to the main planet, I have something to discuss with the local government."

Daniel, it is good to see you well and "following orders." The Empire is in its worst condition since the civil war, and I can assure you that your mother would have been released by now if she had only come into custody. If it were not for the murder of two storm troopers, and the killings of innocent fighter pilots who died attempting to secure her arrest I would have ceased this foolish errand instantly. However, I, as you am bound by Imperial law, and so she must be brought to justice to stand trial for her crimes. You will be glad to know, that I have insured that she does not get the Death Penalty, though she will spend a rather long time in the maximum security prison on Byss.

Not that the personal matter is out of the way, I am writing to inform you that of today the Black Order is no longer an independent organisation, and that it is now in effect an extension of the Imperial Navy and ground force division. You, for now, will remain as its head, however there is strong opposition to you being in command, in light of your mothers recent betrayal. I will do my best to defend you however, until this mess is sorted out, it will be beneficial for all if you were to lie low for a while. Therefore, I am putting you in command of the Klington invasion fleet that is assembling at Exante as we speak. You are to proceed there immediately and take command.

The Imperial Palace gleamed in the sunlight of the 5th Planet of the Capital System, The Palace was peaceful and tranquil, a far step from the capital city that surrounded it, Its Multi-Million Population made much noise at this time of day, but forcefields do wonders.

"Shogun Tokoharasu, The Report" A Small Female Voice Said, Her Presence was nothing next to the Shogun, in his infinite age and wisdom, But he treated every citizen as his equal.

"Thankyou Miss Haitsu, You Are Dismissed" He Replied, he may of been ages old, but his voice was young and powerful.

"Yes Shogun" She responded, and walked down the long hall, her heels clicking on the marble floor, followed by the slow creaking shut of the door. Everything was as it had been in the other universe, but this one was far more crowded, and warlike.

The Shoguns eyes scanned the report, everything from production reports to population manifests, trade revenue to mining output, but his ministers dealt with that, And he need'nt be concerned with trade, Replacing a former nation of the ESUS did that nicely.

One Name Kept Appearing, in nearly every conflict that could be documented. The Galactic Empire, Unified Sith, Chronosia.. many nations, one entity.

He only hoped their warlike attention would not come this way, For the fleet that had once protected the Star Empire lay in mothballs on a small moon in a sparsely populated system, and his frigates that patrolled the starlanes could hardly hold off a invasion fleet.

"So this is the Galaxy we now live in... It seems peace cannot prevail here, I will have to re-activate the fleet afterall.."

The Shogun Closed his eyes, and fell into a uneasy sleep, for this was the only place he would find peace.

Not likely, Admiral. I thought to myself darkly. Knowing Mom, she'd duel Emperor Palpatine himself before you'd catch her. She won't come quietly. You'd most likely kill her, and turn Coredians into fanatics.

So basically, he's contemplating kicking me out of the top spot and it's not formal yet. I thought. Well, at least I can use this as a mission for the twins.

"What now, bro?" Taylor said.

I sighed. "Well, I suppose we go and attack another nation and take it for the Glory of the Empire, like there's ever such a thing. Such is the way of the Dog of the Military, kids. We'll be jumping to Exante and executing our orders, however much we hate them. Grandpa can send someone else to Thyferra."

It was not the first time that Admiral Brooks has had to face the Death Star in battle, he done so years earlier in the Hades System. It was a tool of Intimidation nothing more and certainly nothing to be feared.

The capital system of the Farstars Cluster, Exartha was the center of trade for the semi-autonomous collection of star systems. Merchant freighters and industrial infrastructure was clustered throughout the system, and with the exception of the Fleets in Crown Point the Exartha maintained the largest defense forces.

The arrival of the Death Star did not send the civilian traffic in the system into a panic. Most people were aware of the problems in Coruscant but did not pay them much heed. The Fleet gathered itself into two battle lines on in orbit of Exartha herself and the other followed behind the Death Star, nothing was hostile about their actions but rather they acted as a sort of honor guard though from a distance.

A simple message was sent to the Death Star by Admiral Brooks, awaited a message from the station to his flagship or the planetary government.

Malin looked down upon the planet. The battlestation had now taken upon a high orbit, with the Farstar fleet providing an escort. Excellent, they are suspicious, at least they don't have fools for generals. Malin thought to himself.

Quickly coming back to reality the Admiral shook his head slightly, with a small cough he began his scripted transmission. "Farstar Government, by order of Grand Admiral Thrawn, current and legal reagent of the Empire, you are hearby ordered to surrender Jennifer Masaki. She is wanted in regards of the death of two Storm Troopers and will be questioned by security elements of the Black Order. We request the immediate hand over of the prisoner."

As the doors were opened swiftly, the harsh bright light of the medical bay illuminated the drying blood on Hawkins tunic. "Prisoner transfer 22A. He is a high priority, the Grand Admiral wants him back unspoiled."

Doctor Magdel turned from whatever he was doing. Lowering a set of rather large forceps, he waved for the troopers to strap the Jedi onto the medical bed. "Leave him there Gentleman, tell the Admiral that I will do my best, but as with all mind maps, an element of risk is in them all."

"And the Carbonite?"

Magdel chuckled. "That procedure is nothing compared to the cloning and mind mapping, now be off with you, i'll see to the Jedi myself." The two storm troopers looked confused. "You can still watch from the security monitors, now leave or take part in the procedure yourselves." Instantly the two men left, though they would be watching very carefully form the security monitors.

The Farstars Cluster up until this point was an honest member of a republican Empire supported by the senate. However under the Senate his nation was granted some autonomy, taxes were paid to the Empire and conscription quotas meet, but grudgingly.

Should the Senate grant a lawful order for Senator Masaki to be incarcerated we shall respect it until that time the word of one man shall not be respected."

Malin laughed a little. "There are no extradition treaties to fill out. Your nation is an extension of the Empire itself, ever since your early defeat. Extradition only applies in regard to two separate nations. Jennifer Masaki will be handed over and taken for questioning. You are also required by law to give a new replacement for the senate. Next in line is Miss Heather Medali A lacky of Thrawns the Admiral though to himself. "Have her transported to the Death Star immediately. And Miss Masaki." Malin said with some distaste. "Your foolish attempts to destroy the Golan V platforms will meet with failure, do you think the Empire fools? They are of course inhibited from the force, your weak and almost dead religion will not destroy the solid constructs of the Empire."
"Smart of you, Admiral. Unfortunately for you, technological constructs are still insigificant next to the power of the Force." Jennifer sneered, as she stopped her Force attack. "But of course, my colleague is correct, I follow the Senate's wishes, not the wishes of one man. I will not bow to your idle, terrorist threats."

"You, Admiral Malin, and your boss the Grand Admiral are nothing more than state terrorists, drinking the blood of millions for no other reason than to satisfy your greedy desires!" Jennifer said, loud and clear so that no one could mistake her worse. "I say again, come down here yourself if you want me, you spineless excuse for a man!"

Malin was furious, here he was, an Imperial Admiral debating, while he commanded the most powerful battlestation in the Galaxy. There would be no more debates, no more bickering. Decisions would be made now.

"Miss Masaki, you are trying my patience. You will surrender now, or we will have to take you by force. Have you considered what a battle would do to Exartha this close to the planets atmosphere. Ships would hurtle into onto the planets crust, radiation alone would kill the inhabitants. Then we have turbo laser fire from my battlestation itself. My gunners are good, but they are not that good. Then you have the, though I may say the slight chance that this battlestation could be destroyed. The explosion would incinerate half the planet instantly, while leaving the rest to die a slow, horrible death.

The Farstar fleet, though strong and majestic as it is, is in no position to fight the Empire. They have only been independent for over a year now, hardly a grand position. Then in the resulting war that will follow, the Imperial fleet will mobilise, Star Destroyers will pour out of the vast shipyards at Sluis'Van and Corellia, and they, the people you swore to protect will be destroyed. But you, and only you can stop that now. Surrender, and forego a conflict that will destroy this world and possibly your own. Your fate has not yet been decided, you are still to be tried, by the laws that you yourself proposed, are they so unfair that you refuse to judged by them? And what of your family, how will they react to their mother being responsible for the death of millions. How will the jedi be able to hold their heads high as they attempt to police the growing stress between the Coreworlds and the outer colonies, you will be remembered as a tyrant through history, not as a hero." Malin waved his hand to mute his side of the channel. "Order all gunners and pilots to their stations and craft. Alert Coruscant of the situation and call for reinforcements."

"Yes Admiral."

The channel was unmuted after a short pause. "So, What say you Jedi, I will have your final decision now."

Another transmission was sent to Admiral Malin, directly from the Presidents residence, the face that would have appear on the admiral's screen was the face of what would have been a beautiful woman if it was not for a jagged scar along the left side.

"Admiral Malin" President Theodosa Henne stated in her stoic voice. "Now is not the for rash decisions. I have dispatched orders for the arrest of Senator Masaki and she will be transferred to your custody shortly, the planetary shields are deactivated feel free to send down a team for the transfer. Henne out. " It was not an easy choice but what other could she make it was the Senator or her planet, it was no choice at all.

Jennifer Masaki was suddenly surrounded by a full Platoon of Confederate Marines in full power armor. There heavy pulser rifles leveled at the Senator.

"Senator Masaki, you are under arresting, get on your knees and put your hands on top of your head. You're to be detained for questioning." One could almost hear the regret in the young officer’s voice but he had his orders and would carry them out.

"What?!" Jennifer said in outrage and betrayal, then resigned herself. Better to not risk the planet's death, by continued defiance...at least this way.

She called up the Force, and put out a palm, sending telekinetic energy at the men. "I'm sorry..."

She then ran for it, heading up some stairs, as the Force suggested to her.

The Force push did not quite have the same effect upon fully power armored marines they could after all remain standing in an explosive vacuum. As the Senator jumped to the mezzanine above the turbo lift’s doors swung open two robed Jedi stood in it with sabers drawn.

Pulser shot began to tear through the floor sending splinters every where,

"Senator Masaki, My name is Knight Caller I was Hawkins padawan, come with us please hurry!" A young tall and lanky man no more then 19 said excitably.

The doors swung shut quickly as the turbo lift spirited the rebels up towards the roof of the building, it arrived there in seconds due to one of the Jedi overriding the lifts computer preventing the security center from shutting it down as the Marines ordered them to do.

The door open to the landing pad sleek and fast ship was sat upon it as the group made there way across the pad a sinister voice greeted their ears.

“Senator Masaki you are to come with me do not resist another Jedi stood behind him his red saber hummed ominously. More Marines began to enter onto the causeway the short Jedi next to Caller deiced to act,

“Keep going I will hold them off!” He advanced upon his enemy saber flashing dueling the Jedi from the Black Order, as he friend and the senator ran into the ship. As the two Jedi dueled the marines fired upon the ship to little effect for its shields were activated and it soon disappear into the night’s sky.

When the duel was over the Jedi who bought the time for Caller and Masaki to escape paid for it with his life.

"How nice, I have a comedian for a patient." Magden mused. "Computer, play something dramatic, something with an ominous flare to it."

As the operation room sounded with the musical wonders of Dies Irae by Mozart Magden put on some goggles. "For your little quirk my dear Hawkins, I don't think I'll give you any anaesthetic at all. Dulls the mind you see, and we need your neural pathways to fire, Yes we do, don't we Mr drill." Moving over to his surgical droid Magden whispered something to it, and gave it the laser drill. "Yes, I'm sure I want you to use the type C, it takes longer, and we need him to feel as much pain as possible, continue the procedure, I'll be back very shortly."

Moving into the next room, the music reached its choral height just as the droid began to shave a small area of Hawkins head. Lifting the Laser the droid slowly activated the beam, turning up the energy as necessary. Hair burned and melted onto the flesh, the flesh crisped and congealed into black cinders and slowly but surely the underlying bone disintegrated into a perfect cylindrical hole. As the brain, was exposed Magden entered the room once again. "My dear hawkins, did you make that smell, all by yourself? Less fibre for you my lad." Laughing at his own joke Magden lifted a small vile. "This my fellow Jedi will make you a servant of the Empire." Placing the vile into a Hyperinjector Magden moved the long needle down the oversized hole into the Jedis brain. "Now hold still lad, we don't want you to kill yourself." Just incase Hawkins tried to end his suffering, the droid secured his head with its large clamp like limbs. "There we're almost done." The doctor exclaimed. "Now for one last thing, a blood sample." Running his hand along Hawkins chest Magden came upon the now congealing gash made by the Chronasians. slicing it open again Magden allowed the blood to run freely. Taking a fresh sample the doctor laughed as he left the droid to tend to the Jedis more serious wounds.

Malin rejoiced as the news of the former Senators arrest came over the communications channel. "I want an arrest detail to be prepared for immediate launch, as soon as the Farstars report they have her in custody descend and take her into custody." A series of nods confirmed the Admirals orders and now all the command crew could do was wait. As time passed, the concern on Malins eyes grew. Gradually as the time period extended to twenty minutes he decided to open a channel.

"President Henne. Do you require any assistance in taking Miss Masaki into custody?"

Heather Medali exited the shuttle that brought her to the Death Star. She was a new young senator with long straight raven colored hair, she wore a black dress and looked every bit the imperial. She was after all a staunch Loyalist party member and largely one her position largely to appease her minority as it was never seen thought Senator Hawkins would need replacement.

She looked about the shuttle bay for her escort.

Jane was playing a game of checkers with Armishaw. They had played Chess,Go and even Monopoly already, they were just running through all the games the holo-board had in it's memory waiting for a response, any response from the powers that be on Coruscant.

"You know maybe they didn't notice us." Jane said as she jumped her piece over three of Armishaw's, "King me."

Armishaw swore as he saw her move, he was being royally screwed in this game, and shook his head, "We're a huge ship, there's way they didn't notice us. They must be ignoring us." He moved his piece.

Jane quickly took his just moved piece with her newly minted king piece, "Then I quess we just have to wait."

On Rhen Var, the word of the attack on Courescant was the most popular story. The people were happy that the Empire had been attacked. They held parties and were ecstatic, but still frightened. The same enemy that attacked the Empire could easily come there.
Far from the planet, in Xizor's homeworld of Black Sun, the Armada was making ready for war. The Entire Black Sun Division was ready to mobilise. The ships entered the portals and went through subspace to an area right outside Tatooine.
When they arrived near the planet, Night had fallen. 30 ships exited subspace first while carriers and transports followed. More battlecruisers exited with time and massed to a rally point right by the planet.

Doom

Once again, beneath the scorched, firey surface of the Dooman home world, another vial creature was about to be set free into the galaxy to carry out the will of the Galactic Empire. Two heavily armed Legionnaries marched down a dimly lit hallway towards a heavily defended room. Both men were fully suited up in their jet black power armor, the foul, blood tainted runes carved into them giving them an erie aura. One of the soldiers removed his helmet, and placed his face upon a retinal scanner. The system hummed, then beeped, and a green light appeared over the massive steel doors. He put his helmet back on, and punched the correct code into a nearby keypad, opening the massive doors.

They stepped into the small, cold room, letting the door shut behind them. This kind of climate would actualy kill a Dooman in under 30 seconds, so they actualy needed their suits. At the center of the room was a lone cryotube with several consoles next to it. The one that had been doing all of the security clearence said something to the other soldier in a foul, unrecognizable tounge, and stepped over to the console.

He muttered a single, foul prayer to himself, and hit a few keys.

Suddenly, cold air came blasting out of the cryotube as the thawing process began. The tube began to glow red as the ice was melted, and the thing within began to take shape. After several minutes of thawing, the canopy slowly swung open. A large, beastly, demonic creature stepped out. It stood at eight feet tall, was obviously a cyborg (had a roboting tail and the entire right side of it was artificial), and had mandibles. It had thick, shiny black skin, and its tounge aparently had teeth. The reason for the robotic parts was because of what a young jedi called Daniel Masaki had done to it many years before.

Yes, you guessed it. It was the Predalien. And now he had a new target.

Armishaw nodded, "We have a shuttle already prepped. It's in port two." The two people took a short lift ride to the port, a simple recess in the hull for the monitor had no true docking bays.

There were four marines in Hercules powered armor waiting. "We're here to escort you sirs."

Armishaw nodded, "Thank you Sergeant." He turned to the pilot, "Please take us out." The shuttle detached with a slight clunk and sped off towards the massive wedge of the Hellfire. Moments later the shuttle was being pulled into a bay with one of the Hellfire's tractor beams.

As soon as the shuttle was secure, the landing ramp descended and Jane, Armishaw and their marine escort stepped out to meet the reception.

The room was small and dark, a cell for a murderer, a convict, a room for an enemy of the Empire. The damp walls and grated floor would give no comfort to Hawkins as he lay there alone and isolated, however today the Jedi would be in for a suprise. As the sharp footsteps resounded off the corridor walls. no, today was not another interrogation, nor mind probe or torture spree, today former senator Hawkins would learn of his freedom. As the black clothed Imperial officer drew open the cell doors he simply smiled, "Hawkins, on your feet man. You are now free to go......."
