For weeks ships had been coming and going from the ports of Cuba; which now served as an essential maintenance point for the Soviet Union. Mighty Dreadnoughts tore through the waves, Attack Submarines routinely emerged from the icy deeps of the atlantic to be refitted and rearmed; and lately, enormous squid had flitted and rose through the black abyss of the sea; somehow loyal to the new Soviet powerbase.

Marcus cared not for this; sitting by the docks; looking out to sea as behind him men took part in maneuvers and routine; marching, saluting, test firing. He thrilled at the heavy footfalls of boots, the echo of gunfire and cannon; the resounding pound of artillery and the whirl of engines. This was the future; when the great Communist war machine bestrode the world. Comrade Stalin had failed; but here, among the flak cannons and tesla coils; between great turrets and factories, barracks and training facilities; as the nuclear warheads were snuck, silently onto the Island...They knew thatone day, victory would be theirs. But for now; they would bide their time; till the time was right to assault America.

The Spanish soldiers marched up and down the French border. The sat, as the Cubans, biding their time until. . .the Soviet Union finished with the threat of America.

IN MADRID
The dictator, Emilio Sanchez, had just gotten off of a helicopter. He spoke to a wide mass of people.
"Gente de España! Mis hermanos! Acabo de llegar detrás de Moscú de
firmar un tratado con Romanov, el primero minustro. 'Mismo él los
estados en cualquier tipo de guerra entre cualquier miembro de este
tratado que el otro ayudará en esta guerra en el caso no de una
guerra de la agresión' ahora cosecharemos las ventajas de ser aliado
con la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas!"
The people cheered as he got back into his helicopter, which flew off to his headquarters at the Alhambra.

Sanchez thought, as the Cuban did, 'We shall conquer the world. Where the great Comrade Stalin failed, we will succeed.'

The Cubans readied; marching in great formations, bestriding the land like gods; that was how they felt. Motivated by a strange loyalty; their will subverted for a desire to aid the greater good. One mind, one body, one soul, one purpose. They would serve the great communist state; even if it meant their lives were forfeit. As the many troops loaded into countless carriers; the amphibious vessels readied; even as they sat side by side with massive dreadnought batleships; they knew the time was nearing...They knew the hour was near. As the leaders of great Communist governments around the world rallied their troops against the hated allies....The Cubans were ready to go to war; a buildup that the Americans would not ignore or idly watch....But they would be powerless.
