Today, Shinseki Aerospace Systems of Imitora and Adejaani Government Industries are proud to unveil the newest line of strike fighter, the F/A-96E Archangelsk. The F/A-96E represents hard work and dedication united together to create a première front line strike fighter, capable of both attacking air targets, and penetrating deep into enemy territory to take out both anti air and anti ground targets. The Archangelsk can also strike against targets of opportunity, and provide front line troops with Close Air Support. Fast, agile, and deadly, the F/A-96E Archangelsk represents the future of Air Combat

Project Purpose
The purpose of the project was to provide the Imitoran and Adejaani Militaries with:

A competent, reliable air defense, combat, and interception platform
A competent, reliable deep strike, close air support (CAS), and tactical strike aircraft
A technological test bed for future aircraft models
A dedicated multi-role aircraft that has a definitive time over target (TOT) advantage
A pilot friendly aircraft with increased range, survivability, and kill power

Aircraft Use

Air to Air Combat
Air to Air Interception
Air to Ground Anti Air Suppression (SEAD)
Air to Ground Anti Personnel Suppression
Close Air Support
Escort Operations
Air to Ground Deep Strike/Target of Opportunity
Combat Search and Rescue Assistance
Radar Suppression (Wild Weasel)

Technologies

HardHat:HardHat, developed by AGI, is the replacement of the standard aircraft skin used on most fighters in current service. It weighs slightly more than conventional aircraft aluminum, and is composed of several composite materials, such as (unclassified) titanium, Kevlar, carbon and ceramics. The rest is classified, as are many other aspects. HardHat, in testing, has been able to generally deflect (as in the warhead fragments can't embed in, literally skipping off) or absorb up to 65% of the fragments of the standard AIM-120 AMRAAM.
Spartan:The Spartan Air Combat Supercomputer is, in reality, the so called brain of the F/A-86E Archangelsk. The Spartan System is a super cooled microprocesing unit that controls the Athena Mod. VI Active Stealth System, the Xikar Advanced Active/Passive Targeting System, Variable Geometry Tail Planes, Three Dimensional Thrust Vectoring System, MUHUD, and the FBFO flight control system.
Athena Mod. VI Active Stealth System:The Athena active stealth system was developed some time ago. However, over the years, many countermeasures have been designed and developed to track fighters using Active Stealth Systems. Mod. VI Athena is the newest system. Like the original Athena, it allows the pilot to literally make his fighter truly invisible to radar. The Athena system, when coupled to the Spartan computer, consists of an array of very tiny antennae beneath the surface of the skin. These antennae literally absorb the radar waves, creating no reflection to return to the transmitting device, and in fact transmitting them to the other side of the aircraft, which renders radar useless. However, because of the discovery that switching frequencies can create the 'hole' effect. In order to contradict this effect, in which a hole is created in the radar field, the Athena Mod. VI system speeds up the process of absorption and transmission, requiring the radar to 'frequency shift' in the area of trillaseconds. Further, should the enemy be equipped with such ability, the Athena Mod. VI comes with a frequency transmission ability, which returns the same radar return that would be received by a bird or cloud. This is, of course, assuming the radar has not been destroyed by this point.
Xikar Active/Passive Targeting:The Xikar System was specifically designed for this aircraft. It combines LIDAR, RADAR, Laser, Infared, and to a point even GPS and Satellite interface, along with ‘piggy back’ targeting to give all guided weapons, but most importantly the AIM-190 Advanced MultiRange Air to Air Missile System (AMRAAM-S). The AIM-190 AMRAAM-S is a variable targeting, variable ranged air to air interception missile. The AMRAAM-S has range comparable to the AIM-54 Phoenix, but the size and maneuverability of the AIM-120 due to thrust vectoring nozzles (2D), and multi finned control surfaces. It can use any of the available targeting systems to engage any target. Even more so, the Xikar system allows for the targeting of upwards of 50 targets, and engaging 20. The Xikar targeting can use a piggy back system that allows any aircraft to mark a target, and allow the Archangelsk to leave its Xikar off, and fire on that target, with a 99% chance of accuracy. The Xikar can target ground systems as well as air systems.

Features

Velcro Weapons Mounting System-Adejaani designed weapon mounting system that allows for customized weapons load based on mission.
Variable Geometry Tail Plane Surface-Tail planes have near full vertical and limited horizontal movement, along with rotational systems for control, to allow for maximum control, and maximum speed
MUHUD-Multi Unit Heads Up Display, uses a holographic imaging system to not only project the HUD info onto the HUD system, but also allows targeting symbols to appear anywhere on the cockpit windscreen.
3Dimensional Thrust Vectoring-Full 3Dimensional Thrust Vectoring. When combined with the forward canards and VGTPS, allows for maximum maneuverability
Carrier Capable (STO/VSL)
Full Glass Cockpit-Fully electronic cockpit setup
FBFO-Fly By Fiber Optics, allows for faster, more responsive, more accurate, and crisper controls than hydraulics or standard Fly By Wire

(Seems like a lot of thrust for a small maximum takeoff weight)

Updated-Changed some numbers, and added some...Neither me nor Adj are really great with numbers, more with just concepts.

Whats the price???
Imitora

At this point, no export price has been set. Becuase of the use of certain technologies that are still classified, an export version will be similiar, but not the same has what you see here. For pricing information regarding construction of the aircraft, or purchase of said aircraft, contact Johnathan Aguilar of Shinseki Military Industries, Sales Dpt.
