A quiet morning one warm summer day, the sun raising slowly in the sky over the ancient city of Lagash.
Today the Civil Senate was to meet with the head of state, as they did every month before the new moon. This month it was schedualed in Lagash, one of the older cities of the Sumer region, and one of the older cities in the republic.
The Dictator, Admiral U.Namtar II, sat in the back of a limo with his wife Natika, who also happened to be head of the Ke'Tuna territory, the other half of the Republic.
They sat, trying to relax durring the trip, neither one ever really enjoyed riding in a limo, it felt too much like they were civillians. Not comforting for people who had spent their lives in the armed forces.
The limo wound it's way through the streets of the ancient city, four story buildings lining the street, eah building undoubtably thousands of years old.
Ahead and behind the limo were a pair of T-2Ms, half track trucks carrying a squad of Republican Gaurd infantry each. Ahead and behind the T-2Ms were two T-6As, the Hummer of the Dostanuot Loj armed forces. Riding in the lead T-6A, was young Peshtur Namtar, the daughter of the current head of state.

The convoy turned a sharp corner, the limo had to go slower because an eighteen wheeler was parked near the corner, on the inside. The lead T-6A and T-2M passed around the corner with ease, slowing down to wait for the limo...
An explosion rocked the street, demolishing the building on the corner and throwing the two lead vehicles into the walls of the buildings accross the street. The open topped T-2M rolled over, the occupants already dead as the truck slammed into the wall. The T-6A, carrying the young Peshtur Namtar, rolled half way over, smashing roof first into the wall, bending slightly as the centre of the roof met with the ally between two buildings.
Peshtur regained conciousness shortly after. After a moment of panic she realised she was on her side, held up by her seat-belt.
She unbuckled, falling to the ground, before she forced the gunnery hatch of the roof pf the T-6A open. She climbed out of the truck, and waited a moment before she stood up. After a moment of nearly falling she slmibed the roof of the T-6A, which trapped her into the ally, to see what happened.
What she saw was shocking, nearby buildings has been demolished, the eighteen wheeler was gone, and so was the limo. She gasped, where her parents limo had been was a smoking crater and bits of twisted metal.
As she stood there, shocked at what happened, a blue pickup truck came screaming down the road, from where the motorcade had been comming. The truck slowed around the crater and pulled closer, a man with a dark mask stood up from the bed and pointed something at her. Peshtur's training kicked in as she jumped down, the ping of bullets flying off the armored underbelly of the T-6A, which she reached inside and grabbed the DS-6B shotgun that was inside. A few moments later the gunfire stopped and the armed man on the blue truck tried to take a look, she jumped, pulling the shotgun to her shoulder as the brought herself over the side of the T-6A, and fired. The slug from the shotgun caught the man in the shoulder, and he went down, the driver of the blue truck panicked and took off down the road, escaping the second round Peshtur fired narrowly.

OOC: I'm looking for someone to RP the attackers. This event plays quite tightly into the history of my nation, and I've got some ideas on how I want it to evolve. If anyone;s interested in RPing the attackers, then contact me via TG or a messanger, I'll give you the history, and who the attackers are.

Not looking to start a war here, I just wanted to change my nations leader, in a dramatic way.

The alarms blared on base. A quake had been felt, and no one really knew what was goig on as they scrambled from their barracks, into uniform, and to their vehicles.
Sergent Ke'ne' of the Republican Gaurd, 3rd Armored Platoon, 5th Urban Warfare Regiment jumped from his bed.
Someone's attacking the city was his first though, and quickly he rounded up his squad. Within moments the two tank crews that consisted his squad had run outside the barracks, dashing for thir vehicles as fast as they could. But as he ran, Sgt.Ke'ne' sawout of the corner of his eye a colum of smoke, a big one at that. He heard no aircraft, no gunfire, and no signs of a fight. This made hum nervous.
As he and his squad piled into their two UWV-1C3 tanks, special urban vehicles, he turned on his radio, contacting the base HQ via his radio. "Lagash HQ, this is UCR Squad An, awaiting orders. Over." He stopped, waiting for a response. After a few moments of silence over the radion he heard an older man, with a husky voice, "An, you are to go to grid coordinates 119,001.5 to seek and destroy enemy targets in the area. Over."
"Confirmed. Out." the Sergent replied, switching his radio back to SquadVox, so he could talk to both tank crews. He promptly relayed the orders to his squad, and they began to move out.

The streets of Lagas were deserted now. The civillians had fled to their homes and locked themselves tightly in, no one knew what had happened.
Sergent Ke'ne' ordered the breec loading mortar each tank carried for it's main gun to be loaded and ready. This, fortunatly, left the loaders free to opperate their remote machine guns, which they did as the two tanks rolled slowly down the empty city streets, Ke'ne's tank in the lead. He also kept a watchfun eye out with his remote machine gun, never good to be ambushed, but his attention was mostly on directing the driver where to go from the cramped interior from what little ammount of vision he had from the vision blocks. He wasnlt about to stick his head out of the turret in a potentionally hostile envronment, espically not with three and four storie buildings on both side of him.

Eventually they came to their ordered postsion, a street corner that once had a beautiful store on it, now nothing but rubble and a crater in the ground. He was amazed for a moment, awestruck in the destruction, untill he noticed the overturned T-2M sitting embedded in a wall to his side. Then, behind him, but between him and the other tank in his squad he saw a T-6A, smashed into an alley. But there was movement.
He brought his remote MG tobear on the area, but the movement stopped.
He had to check it out, These were Republican Gaurd soldiers, there might be wounded. he thought before speaking into his mike.
"Trolley two, do you read me? Over" He said with ease, refering to the tank behind him.
"Hear you loud and clear Trolley one, what you need? Over" Came the quick reply.
"Cover me Trolley two, I'm going to check out that T-6A. Over"
"Confirmed, I got your back Trolley one. Out."
With that Sgt. Ke'ne' opened his hatch, carefully, getting out of his tank very slowly and cautiously. Of course with the gunner moving the turret back and forth, scanning the area for hostiles, he had to be careful anyway.
Holding his MR-5A2 SMG he jumped to the ground, quickly bringing the gun tohis shoulder and crouching. Slowly, he walked over to the wrecked T-6A, he looked it over and noticed there was a gap large enough for him to get through at the rear, where the cargo hatch had bounced off the wall when it hit. Slowly and quietly he moved around to the rear of the vehicle, keeping his weapon up and ready. He reached the corner, and turned quickly into it.
Not fifteen centimeters from Sergent Ke'ne's face was the end of the barrel of a DS-6B shotgun. The bad end at that.

She just barely kept from firing, her finger pressed firmly against the trigger of her shotgun.
Peshtur stood there, her body tense and pumped full of adrenalin, with the barrel of her shotgun pointed directly into the face of a man. She stared straight into the mans eyes, but took note of the SMG he had aimed at her, also of the Republican Guard uniform he was wearing. The uniform had to be the reason this man still had his head on his shoulders, why she hesitated to pull the trigger.
After a moment she opened her mouth, somehow now dry, "Name, Rank and unit, now!" She demanded, never once relaxing the gun.
Not once relaxing himself, the man replied quickly, "Canaberi Ke'ne', Sergent, 3AP-5UWR Republican Guard. Who are you?"
Still staring into his eyes, not for any reason other then to convey her serious nature at this moment, and it was working. "Peshtur Namtar, the rest is classified information for you Sergent."
Sgt.Ke'ne' was taken aback slightly, and he relaxed for just a moment. To him, here was not only someone who outranked him, but a member of the Dictator's family.
In this moment the Sergent relaxed, Peshtur attacked, her hand left the foregrip of her shotgun and grabbed his SMG, twisting it and yanking it out of his hands. Within an instant she had taken the gun from him and thrown it accross the alley behind her, but she kept her own shotgun aimed for his face. After a moment of shock, the Sergent raised his hands slowly and opened his mouth to speak, now very careful so as not to get himself shot. "I'm here to help. Where are your parents?" He hasked slowly.
"Dead." Was her simple reply. "I'm sure you saw the hole in the street.."
The Sergent relaxed slightly in his response, until his radio went off, "Trolley one, what's your status? We have to get moving. Over."
Peshtur looked at his radio, then back at him. "Take me to the nearest Republican Guard base."
"Yes man, I will." The sergent replied before he answered his radio. "Trolley two, I have Peshtur Namtar with me, we're comming out, get ready to head back to base. Over."
Sgt. Ke'ne' merely got a click in response, which was standard. So, slowly, Peshtur lowered her gun, not taking her eyes off of the Sergent, or letting go of her gun, but the Sergent never expected her to do either.
After retreiving his gun, Sgt Ke'ne' lead her out of the alley, to the two awaiting tanks. He promptly climbed up the front of his tank, and she followed. The Sergent climbed into the commanders hatch, taking back command of his vehicle as Peshtur moved to the engine deck, grabbing a handhold on the back of the turret, "Take me home Sergent."
With this order, the two tanks moved out, turning back and heading to the Republican Guard base they had just left.

The two tanks rolled into the now hectic base, troops and vehicles were moving all over the place, no one still knew what really happened.
As they passed the command post, Peshtur jumped off of the tank, which was moving rather slowly in the traffic, and jogged into the command room itself. She approached a man who was leaning over a table with a map of the city on it, an officer who's insgnea stated him to be a Brigadier. Several others were hunched over around him, all discussing the situation. Peshtur attempted to get the Brigadier's attention, obviously being much higher in the chain of command then him, "Brigadier, I need to talk to.."
Where the Brigadier, without looking up, promptly cut her off, "Not now, I'm busy, I'll deal with it later.
She tried again, more then a little annoyed at the reaction from the officer, "Brigadier, I.."
And again, he cut her off without looking to see who she was, "Not now, I'm busy!" he almost yelled.
In utter annoyance now Peshtur raised her shotgun, which she hadn't let go of yet, aiming for an arbitrary point in the celing, and fired. The shot startled everyone in the room, and imediatly the eyes of every shocked person were on her. Quickly the Brigadier realised who he was dealing with and stood at attention, snapping a quick salute, along with everyone else in the room.
"Good," she said, "Now at ease, and listen." The officers at the map table stood where they were as everyone else returned to their duties.
"My parents were murdered" Peshtur started, "by an explosion, here."She pointed her finger to the intersection on the map where the explosion had taken place. "Those who did it drove off in a blue pickup truck, after shooting at me, one of them is wounded from my return fire. I want your men to track down anyone with a blue truck, who has reported an injury since the explosion, or who has left the city since, and hold them for questioning. Ok?" She ended her order in a way almost scarcastic, she was quite annoyed at the Brigadier's earlier attitude to her, and this was normally how she reacted to it.
"Yes mam, they will be hunted down. The scene of the attack will be swept clean by investigators shortly too mam." The Brigadier said, snapping yet another salute to Peshtur as she turned around near the end of his sentence and walked out shortly after he finished.
She walked out to the helicopter pad, moving to an AAH-9A who's crew were preparing incase they had to take off.
"Whatever your orders were, they're void. Take me to Uruk as fast as possible." She ordered the crew before climbing into the back of the troop helicopter.
The crew simply replied with "Yes mam!", and climbed to their stations and began the sequence to take off.

Shortly they were flying West towards Uruk, low and fast, but keeping an eye out for any threats. Peshtur didn't expect anything to really happen on the flight to Uruk, and indeed nothing did. The real problems were going to occur when she got to the Governmental HQ, she knew she'd begin fighting a battle the moment she entered the door.
