Where the Sun don't Shine. (Future Tech RP)

OOC: This is the beginning of the big future-tech expansion for Tanthan after the launch of the probes from the Archangel project to the rocketing towards the stars. This is an open RP for all future-tech players.

IC:
In the darkness of space, in solar system that seemingly has had its sun swallowed up by the darkness a massive explosion can be easily detected by any planet within 300 light-years in distance. The explosion created a planet size ball of fire and great amounts of tacheons. The resulting waves of energy has easily spiked and damaged sensitive and older detectors, the blast so powerful to jam all other communications within 100 light-years distance.

The quiet system of Gozeth, with a sun the doesn't shine has suddenly and accidently given away its position in the universe. The large sphere which encases the star of Gozeth had seemingly flickered out of existance, and out of people's memories. The large thrusters and rockets firing from the many large, civilian class spaceships, some stretching 20 km long set a course for the 8 rocky planets of Gozeth. Currently unnamed planets with little information about them these adventurers set course to settle and grow the once-silent empire out to the entire system.

OOC:Definatley interested, in fact...

IC: Ensign Meanon stared at her readouts, unable to believe what she was seeing. These tachyon emissions were unheard of ever before in Snake Eater history. She pressed the button that linked her to the command desk, and was put through to Lt. Pytor, her shift boss, "Sir, I think there is something down here you should see"...

IC:

A tall stout man barged through the office, creating an uproar and pushing random papers of the desks, his hoarse booming voice was filled with rage and bloodlust, "Alderson! ALDERSON! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!". The boss enraged came across a heavy steel desk infront of the door of the supervisor's office. The enraged man who's face was deep red now shot out his strong arms, the arms of a bodybuilder, with thick and ever-present muscles grabbed the edge of the desk and in a simple motion picked it up and threw it into the wall. A loud bang and the plywood walls around the cubicals began to topple like dominos in a line, the boss's sheer force of the throw was similar to Donkey Kong picking up a barrel and chucking it. With one strong hit to the maple door the the hinges blew off and yielded in his presence.

A small sniffling man was hiding in the corner of his office, he whimpered meekly, "Mr. Sakomoto! No! Please no! It wasn't my fault!"

The large man growled and his eyes paralyzed Mr. Alderson with fear, Mr. Sakomoto pulled out from under his big black business suit a small object, it looked like a club with one difference the edges were that of a chainsaw and as it was turned on began to hum and turn red hot as Mr. Sakamoto brought it down on the helpless man. Unholy sounds of terror and cries of pain sounded throughout the office, the workers stood around like shadows listening to the cries for help and the smell of burning flesh which soon flowed into the entire complex. Several soldiers, in dark black armor slipped in quietly, unnoticed and with absolute stealth appeared in the office with Mr. Sakamoto.

"Dwelvez se tomar" softly uttered the first of the three soldiers. The three looked through their dark masks and visors at the mamed and burned body of Mr. Alderson. The victim had been horribly beaten, electrocuted and tortured to death all at the same time. The soldiers all at once brandished their large assault rifles and the next sound was a constant firing of hundreds of bullets, the sound worse then ten jackhammers going off next to you, the soldiers elminated Mr. Sakamoto and left almost no trace of his human identity, bone chips, blood and flesh with mixed organs was all that remained of the large man.

In the cold depths of space the colonization front moved slowly through the dark solar system, they appeared to be defenseless as they drifted throughout space at nearly a sixth the speed of light. Messages were not being sent, but the ships are giving off so much gamma, alpha and beta radiation along with immense amounts of radar waves and microwave energy that it seemed very odd. In all the worlds that detected the explosion would now have the boards and montoring station's control panels light up like a large christmas tree, was it a call for help? Was it a declaration of war? Was it friendly or foe? The ships nevertheless continued on, breaking formation as twenty reached the first planet in the system, closest to the star it orbits, Alpha.

What with ships having been detected, 10 ships of the 5th DSR (Deep-Space Recon) fleet had been dispatched to the area, in order to invetistigate. As the S.E.N Constellation emerged from warp at the edge of the system, klaxons sounded throughout the ship, as the high levels of radiation battered the shields. They held, but Captain Templer transmitted to the nearest relay station:

For: Admiral Janus, Snake Eater Navy HQ
From: Captain Templer, S.E.N Constellation
Ships detected. Zero contact. Radiation levels abnormally high - damage to Structual Field. Request detailed scientific ships to be deployed to region.

On board the GZ1043 the ship in charge of the exploration recieved the message, the elegant bridge, designed with rubies and diamond walls for show and a royal chair for the commander in which the high-ranking offical sat in started to read the message. His red suit and aristocratic look would intimidate nearly anyone if they had to answer to him.

"What fools they think we are...send them a message prompt let me speak to them directly, Scout Fija send the signal."

A busty young girl in a form-fitting white and blue suit and long blue hair that made her look some-what like an angel sent the prompt for a video-comm. link to Capt. Templer. through the 3 dimensional computer monitor control panel.

"Captain Templer, we are recieving a communication, audio and visual," said Lt. Cameron, at the Conn.
"On-screen, Lt" The viewscreen came to life, and Templer saw a man, quite obvoiusly the captain of the alien vessel, "Greetings to you. I am Captain Templer, of the Snake Eater vessel Constellation. We detected a large amout of tachyon emmisions, and were sent to investigate. We have no war-like intentions, we are peaceful"

The voice of the aristocrat was sharp and clear, powerful and that of a noble, "Greetings, I am Prince Jinto....we had a small error, all is clear, the repair work should be done on the Sphere within a day or two, one of the modules depressurized and destroyed a reactor."

Jinto remained calm and muttered something under his breath, "ya...a reactor...that will work on these Boraloo slug-like nimrods..."

Then returning to normal, "We need no assistance or further scans on our system....all is fine...*beep*...."

The link instantly went dead as he said it, though he continued in a relaxed state, "Let's try our weapons on them for sport if they should investigate further...the 'gun' must be kept secret."

Then oddly enough the video came on again, "I'm sorry about that, malfunction of the generator, we took minor damage in the explosion ourselves."

"Understandable, but I see no reason to remain". Templer turned from the view screen, and said to Lt. Cameron," Set course for home, but request that Station H-5 monitor the situation. There is a hidden agenda here, but we are not a warship, this is more for the likes of the Battle Fleets"
Templer's XO, Cmd. Figro, turned to face his Captain, "Sir, I do not believe that he is telling the truth to us. Maybe we should stay?"
"No Number One, that would be foolishy. We are not a warship, and we do not know their tactical rediness. No, we shall withdraw, but do not worry, H-5 will be our eyes and ears from now on"
"Course laid in,Sir," piped up Lt. Cameron.
"Engage, maximum warp"

"Unusual....not opening up the feed again....fire the blue light..."

The civilian ship let out a flare of blue light that shown brightly, the huge sphere encasing the sun began to whirl and spin to life. The temperature sky rocketed on the center of the sphere, it became as hot as the star itself within seconds, the light it gave off was white and was the same basis of an ion-cannon, though this was one was the size of a planet, like Earth, the home-world of Tanthan early on.

All communication frequencies were quickly beginning to be jammed, tachyon particles were being pulled into the Sphere itself, the Constellation was going to be a sitting duck in moments.

"Shit, what the hell was that?" demanded Templer.
"Some sort of Ion pulse. Its beginnning to halt comms with HQ, and engines are being drained"
"Damn it, and we were on our way. Shields Up!" All around the Constellation, klaxons sounded once again.
Templer quickly sent a message to Snake Eater Navy HQ Att... ....voked. En...es d... Aid re......ed. He hoped that it would get through the gathering interference, then turned to his tactial officer Lt.Cmd. Grigo,"Arm all weapons, and inform the Marines to prepare for hostile boarding actions"

The 'civilian' ship began to change, the long bright panels on the sides swept back in a dark green hard-to-detect fighter, the ship simply vanished from radar and sight as it armed itself.

"Do we have a presumed position of the target craft?" Jinto asked

The computer produced a holographic 3-d image of a sexy girl around the age of 20 with absolute perfect features her voice was soft and in no way mechanical, "No dear Jinto....but close enough to fry the systems."

"Then do it, give the order to fire!"

While the communications were jammed for them also a red flare was launched off the transformed ship, it was the signal to fire at will. The Sphere fired a huge blast of energy at the position of the ship on its path at the time the video feed was opened, the chances of a direct hit was less then 1 in 10 but was almost a sure-thing that the ions and the EMP blast would easily shut down the craft if it was near-by.

"Do you feel lucky, I sure do. MWHAHAHAHAAAHAA!" mocked Jinto as the beam streaked across the front the distance, it looked something like the Death Star from the old Earth movie, Star Wars, but the target was a speedy little ship less then a thousandth the size of the beam itself, accuracy is not needed to deal crippling damage.
Snake Eaters
09-02-2005, 22:56
"Why are they firing at us? |What did we do," cried a crewmember on the Bridge, as the beam missed the ship, but the resulting EMP pulse had all but shut down her engines. She hung almost dead in space, the Templer had a brainwave, "Enginnering, shut down all systems, bar-life support. If we can fool them into thinking that we are dead, then we can limp out of here. I just hope"

OOC: You can't argue with this. If you could barely detect the ship anyway, then what chance do you have if it is shut down?
Tanthan
09-02-2005, 23:13
OOC: Ya fair enough, I mentioned it before it was really hard to even target it at that range.

IC:

"Are they destroyed? Its too hard to detect the ship?" asked the crew

"Hmm....no energy readings....then I guess they aren't, look for electromagnetic changes that indicate its presense. They aren't destroyed." thought out-loud the amused Jinto commented.

The scans reveled very low changes of magnetic flow, knowing that they can tell where the ship is, but Jinto seems no need to pester them anymore, his corruption of power has lead him on a chase for excitement.

The Constellation limped slowly from the system, bleeding radiation from a dozen wounds. Inside, it was not much better. The one-sided battle had nearly destroyed them, and it was lucky that they could limp on impulse out of the system. Inside, Captain Templer read the damage reports, which made for grim reading. Nearly 20 people killed, many injured, the warp drive was offline for at least another 24 hours, and the ship was buckling under the strain. Luckily, the comms stil worked, and Templer had placed a request at the Navy HQ for another ship to come and retrieve them. He had recieved word that the Galaxy-class vessel Immaterial was en-route. With its more powerful weapons and shileds, it could stand a better chance should they atack again. But, its sickbay and tractor beams would be more helpful at the current time

A rift in space opened and Spirit of the Primarch blasted into our dimension from the warp, resplendent in its blood red, with its escort of 10 Nova frigates. The Blood Angels were in the sector.

The first thing Captain Holt noted was that the comms systems were down. As he looked out of the porthole, he noted that the Novas were out of formation. "Lieutenant! Activate the accelerator tube network. Oh, and Mobilise Jaguar Thunderhawk group!" He said. "We need some form of messaging in this ion storm!"

Within a millicycle the ships were in contact, small red Thunderhawks flitting between them like flies. As the accelerator tubes transported datafiles from station to station, the ships were able to communicate within themselves and with each other.

"What in the name of the Emperor is going on?" Asked Holt. "This system is meant to be dead-star, but our instruments register no warp-variation."

"I think this system's star rapidly regenerated, sir!" noted a scan officer.

"We've got to find out what the unholy daemon's going on!" Growled Cmmr Michelaus. "I'll send a recon team of Thunderhawks down to the nearest planet. That's the best we can do. Oh, and I'll get a signal through to Sangre as soon as I can."

The next cycle, Panther group did a fly-by in the gravity well of Gozeth III. "nothing special to report, sir!" said the co-pilot. "Wait..."

They had reached a huge crater. This thing was massive. "Holy Terra, blessed of planets, what could have caused this?" asked the pilot.

"I don't know, but an impact causing a crater of this size could have disrupted the warp in the system, potentially allowing a star-sized object to enter the system."

"Or a star..." Noted the pilot. "I think we have solved the captain's conundrum." He burned the retros and set course for Spirit.

Onboard, the pilot reported to Holt. "There was the crater of a massive impact on Gozeth III. An impact of a suitable size to disrupt the warp. I believe that this impact caused a rogue star to enter the system from the warp. This system was then recognised. Sir?" Holt was not responding. The pilot looked over his shoulder, and saw, out of the porthole, a massive ship. It was heavily damaged, and visibly glowing with radiation. The name Constellation could be seen on the side. But this was not what Holt was looking at. He was looking at the massive warship behind it. The name Immaterial twinkled gold in its recess. "Holy Emperor, may you guide us through this time..." Muttered Holt, making the sign of the Emperor against his chest.

Captain Terressa Janus, of the Immaterial, saw the massive ship emerge from the warp. As she observed its length, she noticed two things: the Imperial Eagle, and the flying teardrop of the Blood Angels,So, the Imperium has noticed this too? Maybe we can cooperate
"Ensign, open a comm channel to the Imperial ship"
"Channel open"
"Imperial Ship, this the Captain of the S.E.N ship Immaterial. We are here to help in the repairs of our ship, the S.E.N Constellation. (OOC: No problem Tanthan. Hmm. I also find it unusual Falcania, we also happen to come across this thread.)

The H.S.S. Petulant(Huntarian Star Ship), an Eclipse Class Star Destroyer jumps from hyperspace, temporairly diverted from it's present course too the dead star. Grand Admral Brondic has been sent to the area to investigate the new "disturbence" the emperor had felt through the force in the system of Gozeth. Knowing their Imperium of Man partner has noticed, the emperor thought he should send in one of their super-command ships.

"Lieutenant, contact the Spirit of the Primarch. Lets see if we can do a joint opperation with this senario. I want to find out what is going on here."

"Aye sir."

Kirtir(huntaer's sith) Master Aelikes walks onto the bridge. "Admiral, what has been hapening?"

"You should know Master Aelikes. Don't you Kirtir have a special power to see all that is go-- Gack--a--a---"

Aelikes chokes G.A. Brondic through the force, and lifts him up into the air.
"Mind your place Admiral. When I ask a question, you answer it. Undersood?"

"Y-- Ye--Yes my lord... Uhh.. Gah." Aelikes realeses Brondic.

"Now, report.... Admiral"

"*Gasp* Yes sir. Comm scan has detected an unusual disturbence in the Gozeth system. We have been sent to investigate. We also have found that our buisness partner has discovered this disturbence too. I'm trying to open a channel to Captain Holt."

"Understood admiral. Continue with your operation." Aelikes stroles out of the bridge, with his cape flaping on his back. Giving an eerie feeling to his surroundings as he walks by.

Hope Captain Holt responds soon. The Admiral thought.
"All right. Commander Gildilan, I want a squadron of [tie]Defenders out there. I want them to scout the area, and then report back ASAP."

"Yes Admiral."

Tyrandis Squadron a few hours later left their docking bay onboard the Petulant. Commander Gildilan, circles around the surrounding planets. He spots the Spirit of the Primarch and the Immaterial
around the system. Maby the other ship knows something...

Tyrandis Squadron passes by the Jaguar Thunderhawk group, and Gildilan spots one of the captains and gives them the "Thumbs Up."

We also transmit details"

Force Commander Sangre's private Thunderhawk.

Such immense occurences are not easily ignored by the forces of the Warp; for their agents are nummerous, and their sight vast. From the depths of space; a lone ship; a Super Heavy Cruiser, 'The Wrath of Khorne' slid through the silent obsidian sea of space; its shields raised. Upon the bridge; flanked by whimpering servants, spluttering obscenities to the Dark Gods and their Unholy Emperor; their praises echoing through space on comms channels; stood Cabot, a Primarch, servant of the Blood God; and he had come to see this new sight, that astropaths and psykers had seen, that sensor nets had detected...Little did he expect to find the servants of the False Emperor.

"We shall make the first move!" Cried Sangre, ordering the Wrath of Sanguinius to make an assault on the Chronosian ship.

The Wrath of Sanguinius moved alongside the Chaos ship, launching two waves of Thunderhawks from its port bays to attack the ship whilst firing its dorsal and port batteries at the ship. On the other side, the 5 firestorm frigates fired their dorsal batteries at the chaos vessel. These were only about a third of the strength of the mighty Wrath's batteries, but also fired were the Prow Lances, mighty beams of armour-piercing energy.

The ship rocked with impacts as lances and warp cannons flared into life; missle batteries roared in fury as shields held and other sets faltered; firing off its great weapons; the ship screamed in fury; Heretic tech-Priests hissing at the cries of the tortured warped Machine Spirits. He departs from his meditation chambers just as the sirens on the Petulant blazed on. He clenched a vial of some foreign substance, it was black as soot, but it was alive and it twitched and writhed like some beast in agony.

"Don't worry X901 the time has come to infect the entire universe and rise into our glorius future! Raise the shields and prepare for minor surges of power!"

The huge palace encased inside the huge Sphere that was around the bright Star, the panels began to collect more energy, harnessing the immense power of the Star itself, the outer shell of the Sphere seems to burst forth, a transfer of heat energy has caused a massive Sunspot like occurance outside the Sphere, the wave of energy was highly unusual but it shot right for the ships around it.

Quietly hidden behind the massive surge of fire and gas that would hopefully disable all the ships in the sector, except their own who had landed on the planets already and being shielded by the planet's natural magnetic field to push back 80% of the effects, though the newly arrived ships would also themselves be unable to operate until it has passed, the sphere had long mile high structures slowly protrude from the otherwise nearly perfect sphere.

Massive magnetically powered guns able to accerlate a shell to nearly the speed of light, the artillery of the Sphere, in total three guns had targeted each individual ship now in the system.

"Let these fools see how machines and all life will fall before X901! Take their ships from them my pets!" Cried the emperor as on both sides of his monitor the huge guns rose from the depths of the Sphere itself.

Inside the Sphere itself in massive hangars several times larger then all of Jupiter itself a large force gathered, the engines all turned down way low, when the rest of the ships in the system were disabled this armada would shoot out of the Sphere itself to either destroy or capture the enemy ships. It appeared as if over 10,000 Star Destroyers were in the many hangars, fighters and bombers inside each one, enough for an invasion of an entire empire spanning many systems was concentrated in one area, the lone outpost of Tanthan's Chosen, those believed to be the closest and highest forms of life in the universe.

"How dare do they seem to fight among themselves, it will only ruin our chances of taking as many ships as possible from them, but this man-made sunspot should shut-them down to make them easy prey. Bless the all-mighty power of energy weapons for even rocks, water and the basic components of life are affected!" laughed with evil said the Emperor before getting ready to push the big red button to give the signal for the main guns to open up and attempting to steal the ships from the enemy which had gathered, communications and power would be down long enough so that they could take them.

(The basic idea here is simple, use the engineered sunspot to disable all things using the energy by disrupting it long enough to fire a few volleys of a viral attack to bring the ships under Tanthan's control with ease. (the virus itself is engineered and smart, its airborne and nanoscopic aided by nano-machines to aid in the exponential spread of the virus and physically elminate a resistant target within minutes.))

OOC: I'm allied with SE. I think Huntaer is too.

IC: Wrath of Sanguinius was confident. It was a battleship against a heavy cruiser. It had escorts in assistance and potentially another battleship to aid it, as well as two small starfleets allied to them. Surely the chaos vessel would have to retreat. Suddenly, the fire stopped. "What the demon is going on?" Exclaimed Sangre. "The ships have stopped!" At that point, the lights went out.

"All our systems are offline, sir!" Shouted an officer, rather unhelpfully. "Were it not for our Power Armour we would asphyxiate."

"Look!" Said Holt, pointing out of the porthole. A massive sunspot was emerging from the star.

"It's artificial. Look at it, it could have been drawn by a ruler!" Shouted Sangre. "There's something down there I don't like. I'm going down there.

"How?" Asked Holt "The electromagnetic energy will have disabled all the ships. Whoever is down there engineered this. We can't get down there. It's foolproof."

"I'm no fool." Said Sangre. "The Defender is fitted with a Faraday Network. Latest STC. The Tech-priests only discovered it a decacycle ago. Shields from all sorts of magnetic energy. I'm good to fly. I'll take my Honour Guard, they are the best troops we have."

The Defender of Sanguinius was fuelled and ready. Sangre went on board with his hand-picked Honour Guard: Sanguinary Priest Jonas, chapter medic; Techmarine Mineraus, adept with his servo-arm; Brother Thalmus, cleaning his meltagun like an old friend; and Brother Valens, an expert shot with his bolter who had shown his worth in the Gradyliia campaign. Holstering his plasma pistol, crafted for him by Tech-priest Adalanus on Mars 165 kilocycles ago, and strapping his chainsword onto his backpack, Sangre settled down in the cockpit of the custom gunship. He flipped the switches. The life support system droned into life. Lights flickered on in the troop litters. The lascannon batteries hummed as they charged, ready to deal some power to the awesome weapons. Soft clicks were heard as the stormbolters decorating the sides switched ammo bins. Finally, the engines' soft growl became a scream as the gunship roared out of the launch bay.

Armament: 1 cockpit-turret heavy bolter (must be manned by co-pilot or pilot if autopilot enabled), 4 prow lascannons (2 front/left, 2 front/right), 1 prow missile launcher (fire front only), 4 port stormbolters, 4 starboard stormbolters, 1 dorsal lascannon quad-turret (can fire all around), 1 ventral heavy flamer (can fire all around), 2 wingtip stormbolters and 1 wingtip lascannon on each wingtip (can fire forward, backwards or direction of wing), stern anti-pursuit pod with missile launcher and 2 heavy bolter (must be manned by additional crew member).

OOC: Hold on, this seems like a tremdous God-mod to me. My crews cannot survive without their life-support systems, so I'm not letting them fail. If you can god-mod Tanthan, then so can I!

IC: "What the hell is happening out there?" demanded Admiral Williams, as he saw the other ships shutting down.
"Some sort of energy pulse, emanating from the artifical sunspot. It also looks as if another weapon is to begin firing at us!"
"All units, back off NOW!" roared the Admiral over the open comm channel, "Our allies have also been afflicted, but we shall not! Rotate your shield harmonics to the new frequency developed to prevent attack such as this. Prometheus, move in after that Thunderhawk, and stick with them. You are to aid them in whatever way is neccesery"

Note: I accedntially quoted the wrong thing. Spaceships would be designed to deal with solar flares and their after effects because if they weren't they would be destoryed constantley. Therefoe, I regard this sort of attack as a God-Mod, not the power armour. I do know how a basic suit of power armour works, its an artifical exoskelton used commonly by Space Marines, Sisters of Battle and the occasional Inquistor

IC: Noticing a ship in the sensors, Sangre opened a channel: "This is Sangre. We are going to the source of the sunspot on a covert operation. Additional support would be useful after we have disabled its source."

Flying the ship lower, Defender took out some asteroids with lascannon blasts, and then boosted towards the sphere.

OOC: Sunspots do shutdown electrical systems, but the rate at which most future-tech is the life-support system requires so little power and the power armor even less that the ablity to be effect the performance is small. The changes would be no lasers, no long range communication, no engines, but all systems that have low flows of current will not be changed, as even I put I had to wait until my own ships have landed to use it because they TOO are shut-down, being a god-modder would mean I make the sunspot (or worse Solar Flare) and then have my own forces mow down all attempts on your helpless ships, only organic or non-electrical powered ships can function easily, but in your case Falcania, your ships with the Faraday Systems are actually ENHANCED by this, as long as they can use the energy they will in essence never need fuel or to back out of fighting if an AI is used to control the ships since they can use my own weapon AGAINST me. (Another way is mircowave electrical power systems which you'll see later, though those can be intercepted if detected.) Last thing Fal, I have yet to fire them, I cannot fire when my own detection systems are not in full working order, I must wait to, its like temporizing for time, cause I didn't expect nearly this many to come so fast.

IC:

The Emperor yelled his orders from the command post, enemy ships have been spotted moving around despite the powerful weapon.

"How long until we can fire?" he demanded slamming his fist on the table.

He had a cord coming out of the back of his neck it ran into a computer which displayed so much information that the human eye cannot possibly read it. Messages and large calculations of everything from Life-support to weapon status flickered. The emperor relaxed and smiled muttering softly, "One hour....perfect. Raise the shields to maximum."

On that note the Sphere suddenly started to glow blue and a force shield appeared on the outside of its perimeter, over 500 kilometers thick the shield would stop all but a continous barrage of an enemy armada, in a relative sense do to the massive size of the sphere encompasing the star it was very weak. All enemy ships would be fully functional in slightly over an hour and be able to attack.

The cannons were beginning to be loaded by many large machines, these huge shells over 2 kilometers long and .1 kilometers wide they had their own shields and stages, they were the second most advanced bio-weapon delivery system Tanthan had created.

Meanwhile on the planets Alpha, Beta, Centri, Diablos, Evix, Filva, Geroth, Hellos, Ini, Jauros, Kalspo, Lathos. The ships began using nano-machines to dig underground and spread a fast moving tunnel system and complex entrenchments for a battle. While the surface was too dangerous for the little machines when the sunspot died out on the surface of the Sphere the could resume and surprise the enemy ships by an attack on the recently defended planets.

A convoy of 10,000 large supply ships, to fuel more war materials and resources into the Sphere would attempt to slingshot past Jauros and Evix to deliver billions of tons of steel and heavium ingots along with gold and compressed hydrogen. They will be visable on the sensors in 4 hours and land in 6 hours.

"Would they make a juicy enough target so that the fools will attack them first and realize the plans we had in-store for them?" mused the Emperor, his face widen in a evil smile as he waited.

OOC: Sorry, I didn't understand your system, make yourself clearer next time. LOL ;)

IC: Despite the Admiral's orders, the shockwave crashed into the Snake Eater ships, rendering them inoperable. Only the Dauntless and the Prometheus were unaffected, due to their more advanced shielding. The Captain of the Prometheus, Cpt. Michael Dealing, led his ship after the Thunderhawk, taking great care to stay away from his weapons, as they looked deadly. Dealing had fought alongside the Imperium once before, and he knew firsthand how dangerous the Space Marines were. As comm system chattered, he replied,"Roger that. Continue on your way, we wiill provide rear security for you."*Closes comm channel*"Deploy multi-vector assualt mode!"
OOC: Multi-Vector Assualt mode. This is a technology, only currently being tested on the Prometheus. It allows the ship to seperate into three sections, each with its own weapons, shields etc. Each is controlled seperatley, giving additional tactical advantage
IC:The Dauntless locked onto as many ships as possible, pulling them away from the scene, as it too had noticed the highly unnatural prongs now emanting form the 'dead' star. Dead my ass! thought Admiral Williams, sitting in his command chair, wondering what else could go wrong today

Suddenly a giant coating of blue surrounded the sphere. Rocketing through the sky, Defender crashed into the field. Smoking, it smashed through the shield and came to a slow halt. In a small nuclear disaster. Fortunately power armour was radiation proof.

They got out of the wreck, and inspected the damage. The Thunderhawk was indeed totally destroyed. It had lasted perhaps a second before decaying rapidly. Fortunately the hardy Blood Angels had gone unscathed.

IC:The Emperor smirked and brushed his long dark blue hair away, he looked like he was only twenty but in fact he was over 120 years old, the longevity of the genetic engineering done has made him hardly middle aged even.

"The fools, they underestimate the sheer power of near limitless power harnessed by that of a star itself! How can they expect to be out of range of old-world weapons! When the laser won't work chuck the spear into the heart of the enemy!"

A mere 20 minutes remained as the sunspot would soon break and wither like leaves in fall. The guns were almost fully loaded and ready to wipe the enemies from existance, as the planets rapidly spread a vast complex network of tunnel systems at over 100 km an hour.

As luck would have it, the impact site was somewhat near the nearest virus-cannon. The Honour Guard advanced towards the station, with surprising stealth and agility for soldiers with a gross weight of 200kg. "Ready, brother?" he asked Thalmus.

"Ready!" He said, firing a blast at the cannon. The sub-molecules annihilated the support arm, bringing the 2 kilometre shell rolling down towards them.

This set off the alarm, meaning that within minutes Tanthan troops would be running towards them.

Inside the core of the sphere's intelligence center a being suspended in a field of blue, like ice it was blue and cold. Inside was a girl, in a state of suspended animation, her features were genetically engineered to be the most beautiful woman possible and also the peak of intelligence, millions of wires covered her body, a million connections that connected her to the Sphere itself. As the turrent crashed into the Sphere she began to start awakening.

Why...do they hurt me.....why.......

The Sphere shuddered and the bottom opened up under the soldiers, the airlock threw desks and papers, metal bars and large file cabinets at the soldiers at break neck speed and then quickly having gravity take over pull them into the office room, the objects began to rain on them again.

When they were sucked into the room the panels overhead began to close, and the place grew deathly silent, unknowingly the inside of the Sphere was the more dangerous then outside it.

"Take evasive action! Move us away, and set the new shields, We cannot allow an entire fleet to come under the control of our enemies"
with that order, the entire 5th Alpha Fleet diesengaged, and spread out around the system. Although it was only threee missiles, the losse of a single ship could be highly dangerous in the long term. Barbarossa's Rage continued to pound the sphere with its orbital cannons. Admiral Williams watched as the missiles streaked towards his fleet, praying. As he did so, the LightningSword dropships were let loose to help the Blood Angels, he only hoped that the Marines would make it.

"Sir....what about our shields?" said the scientist, checking on the shields which were beginning to lose power. "They have already pierced it once, should we do?"

"Launch the fighters!" demanded the Emperor
---------------------
Within seconds a huge opening in the Sphere started to show, thousands of fighters, all highly skilled pilots trained on advanced combat simulators started to close in on Snake Eaters ships.

"Disable or destroy!"

"Roger that Eagle, Fox 1 launch" said the Wing Commander.

All at once before the fighters even formed true fighting groups a mass of laser fire and plasma bombs were launched directly at the Snake Eater ships.

"HAHAHAHHAAHAHHA! I smell a nice big BBQ." jeered one of the pilots, firing wildly at the enemy ships.

All the tie-like fighters, spun around rapidly, laser turrents in fast bursts, the fighters were skilled, but over-confident already, the fast and unpredictable turning and unrelenting fire would make it very hard for much larger ships to destroy them because in the middle of firing they would spin in a new direction.

"Whooooo, easy prey baby!" said a female fighter pilot as she dropped down from above on the Barbarossa's Rage, firing extremely fast and concentrated bursts, the laser cannons had power similar to small capital ships, the five other fighters prepared to blast right through this one key enemy ship.

The figters were powerful, that was certain. But they reckooned without Snake Eater technology. As the blasts came down onto the void shields, the entire hull seemed to explode with a blinding light. Solar shocks, developed for use against capital ships, could disable them for at least 30 seconds, more than enough time to gain a target lock,"We have tone, Sir!"
"FIRE AT WILL!" roared the Admiral, and fire they did. The shock had disabled almost 300 ships within the vicintiy, and Barbarosaa's Rage began to mop them up, flying through them, picking them off with laser and phaser fire. As they did so, Cobra-Interceptors swarmed from the launch bays, nearly 2000 of them. As if on cue, the entire Snake fleet engaged their weapons, and fired at the encoming horde. they too released their Cobra's. Pride of production in SE, these Interceptors were as fast, and as powerful as it came. Also, every pilot was an expert, with over 50 hours of combat expierence to each and every one of them.
Lead pilot Greg Chambers called over the comms,"Wipe them out! All of them!" And they divedw into the melee. A battle of this magnitude, in the 3-D vastness of space, would take time. But, Snake Eaters was ready for almost anything by now.
It was not all good news however. A lone Ambassador class ship had been isolated from the bulk of the fleet, and was pounded repeatdly by Tanthan fighters. She could no longer take the fire-power, and suffered a warp-core breach. The resulting explosion lit up the surrounding space, and although many escaped in escape pods, they were also picked off by the fighters, much to the disgust and anger felt by the entire Snake Eater Fleet.
