Doujin

Consul B.J. Clark walked up to the podium, standing in front of the daunting D.N. Doujin, the most powerful warship on the seas. Clark looked into the faces of every man and woman standing there, waiting for his speech. It was a beautiful day, yet such a sad one. Unfortunately, it was not his decision - and he couldn't overide it, as much as he wanted too. The D.N. Doujin was and is the pride of the Doujin Navy, but alas it was her time to... relax.

Clark cleared his throat and opened his mouth, wishing he didn't have to say what he had to say to this proud nation of 2.4 billion people.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, proud servicemen and loyal countrymen. In the past, Doujin has been one of the most powerful forces on the high seas. Our innovation and.. eccentric military doctrine brought about a sense of superiority when the name "Doujin" was spoken in reference to the seas. However, since the massive civil war, where the most powerful warship in the world was almost used against us by our own people, it has been decided by the Consulate to decomission all active Doujin Class warships, and put them in a Type-A mothball status. The Doujin has served us well, and will be well kept and uprgraded as time goes. But, it is her time to take a short nap. I sincerely hope that a time comes around when we will reactivate our pride and glory, but until then she will be an wonderful memory, it's image burned into our minds forever. With that, I must give you over to Captain Savaw."

Clark stood back and started clapping his hands as Captain Savaw walked up to the podium to deliver his speech. Quickly, Clark exited the podium area and got into his vehicle to begin the drive back to the underground complex. It would be a 40 minute drive before he made it too the entrance to the rail station, in which he will be transported underground to the large cavernous Navy HQ, home of one of the largest dry-dock facilities in the world. Doujin's day will come again...
