It begins...

It was a most bloody night. The 10000 JSDF corps. were slaughtered by the Emperor's Samurai class elite forces. Tokyo would've awaken to the final rounds of machine gun, has it ever gone to sleep in the first place. All political threats to the new government were eliminated that night. Elsewhere, the remaining SDF forces surrendered, either commiting suicide or accepting forced labours. Most foreign ambassadors were allowed to leave unnarmed, except for the Americans, who were thrown in jail and would only be released after their ransom had been payed. All of Japan was in ruins... But the Emperor Hachiman was now the true ruler, no longer a mere public figure.

Hachiman sat in his throne, considering the next course of action. He wouldn't allow the court to control his actions, as his predecessors. No, he'd be the sole ruler of this Land of the Rising Sun, his by divine heritage. There was much to be done. The nation had suffered in the years of civil war, and it would take a very long while for it to return to its former glory.

OCC: Well it looks like somebody is biased against Americans...

ICC:

For years now the Confederacy has been viewing this Civil War of yours with a neglectful eye, being careful not to be dragged into a unimportant conflict. Now the this terrible war of yours has come to an end, I believe its time to open up more friendly relations between our two nations. Thus over the coming weeks and months, the Confederacy of Lachenburg shall begin to establish long-term diplomatic and economic relations, in the form of trade agreements and embassy exchanges, to the nation of Imperial Japan, so that it may prosper and continue to grow under the proud Imperial banner it had discarded many years ago.

OOC: Well, maybe a bit... I kinda figured that, since Japan was defeated in WWII and the Emperor lost its divine status, a power-hungry heir to the throne might have some kind of bias against them. I honestly apologize if I offended you, though.

IC: The Divine Emperor Hachiman would like to thank you from the bottom of his heart to the People's Confederacy of Lachenburg. We would be most honoured if you were to accept our ambassadors and send your own to our land. In the meantime, would you accept to negotiate a trade agreement?

During the civil war, industry other than warcraft was neglected. While we have the manpower to produce goods, we lack the raw materials needed. If you would supply us with metals and oil, we would sell our prime goods with 50% discount.

OCC: No offense taken.

ICC:

As of the moment we currently have the capability to ship several hundred thousand sheets of Industrial-grade Steel, along with 70,000 pounds of coal and 100,000 barrels of oil to the shores of Japan. Although we hope to further broaden the scope of our trade, this first series of shipments should be able to help jumpstart broken economy of your nation. The total cost will be around
120 million USD and can be payed out over a period of 10 years, with 3% intrest.

Once the total requested funds have been sent, these goods will be shipped via barges and should arrive in your nation within 3 to 6 weeks and the distribution of these materials will be soley up to your nation.

We most humbly thank our friends in Nycton. Embassy exchange will be carried out at once.

Our first round of industrial products has just been finished. We'll sell our automobiles, computers and domestic appliances to Lachenburg with the said discount. We'll also present the leader of Nycton with a fine katana as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. In times of war, do not hesitate to call upon us.
