Bridge of the World Cleanser Defiler, flagship of the Dooman Crusader Fleet

High Praetor Skorm sat in his command chair, constructed of the bones of fallen enemies, still stained bright red with their blood. The air stank of rotting corpses, and a thin red fog hung about the floor. It was a very frightening atmosphere, whith foul runes carved into the very living wall of the vessel. Skorm was a terrible creature, with large spikes growing out of his sholders (upon which he'd impaled the heads of those he'd killed in battle), fangs growning out of his mouth, and firey red eyes which reflected off of his scaley grey skin. His command crew was more afraid of him then the Emperor Himself. "Ensign, what's the ETA to Vadron?" thundered the deep, warped voice of the beast.

"Two hours, my lord."

"Good, continue what you are doing." he said, arising from his skull throne. "For now, I must tend to my legions."

He walked towards the turbolift, the ground beneath his feet sizzling from the heat produced by them. As he neared the troop compartment, a massive chamber lined with cryotubes for putting the men into hybernation, he reviewed the mission plan in his head.

Their first target would be the Yafor world of Vadron, a military outpost, and the only true threat to the mighty fleet of 1,000 ships. After that, they would move on to Harmandrum, a colony world. Many thousands of fresh souls lie there, yet to be converted to the True Race.

The sleek black doors of the turbolift slid open, and he stepped out onto a balcony overlooking the millions of men who stood in several perfect formations of several thousand men, their black armor reflecting the erie red light the lit the room. Among them were their banner carriers, whos instruments were decorated with skulls, and the black banners with blood. Their helmets were off, and he could see the faces of every one of them. They were mostly new converts eager to sacrifice themselves for the Crusade, but several thousand battle-hardened marines and legionaries stood at the front of the organized horde. The armor of the veterans were carved into with foul runes, with dry blood iluminating the ancient letters, making for an unatural black and red pattern on the men. The new ones were yet to be decorated, and would be the very first to sacrifice themselves in the torrents of flame that awaited them.

Skorm spoke to the dark army amassed before him in his usual demonic tone,
"Servants of my will! You come before me before your finest hour! Soon, you will drop into the heart of the worlds we wish to consume and change to liberate their peoples from the heresy they live on a daily basis. For some of you, this will be your last campaign in this world, but there will be many more foes to vanquish in the afterlife! Remember that, and take heart from it! Many of you have seen the glory of battle and come away still in this world, yet many have not had that priveledge as of now. Well, my children, today, that priveledge is your's! You shall taste man flesh!"

With those words, the chamber errupted in a mighty roar as the Black Army awoke from its slumber, the banner carriers slamming the poles on the ground in unison, the others pounding their chests with their power blades and roaring into the foul air their vile prayers. Soon, the worlds of Yafor would be consumed by the Great Fires of Doom, and these men were Their instruments.

OOC:Sorry I couldn't come, forgot about the Black Crusade!

FYI, Harmandrum and Vadron are right next to each other(see "The Planetary Straits Closed" (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=391462), they are those straits!)

Also, it's Yaforite. And my capital world is Yafor 2, an island on earth. Chronosia and I agreed not to attack it.

BIC:

Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov, the leader of the operation and the most brilliant man in the Yaforite Empire, and Yralkiss, High Druid to the Flamesearers, the ancient creators of Yafor 2, sat together, at a window in Vadron. The cold night came in with a message to Yralkiss. The Druid raised his head eagerly, as if scenting the wind for danger. He smelt that danger. It was near.

"Druid, what is it? What do you see?" The Flotilla Commander had realized and was afraid.

"Doomingsland. It's here." The druid was talking, but his mind was somewhere, miles away.

"But our sensors...?" Flotilla Commander Gudanov now felt the world crash in on him.

"Cloaking Devices? Anti-sensors? There are tons of such weaponry. Ready the forces, Gudanov, batle is near."

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Outside Vadron
------------------------------------------------------------------------

A group of Mosquitoes, tiny ships, were all that Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov could see as he gazed out of his Black Myrmadion. There were over 2,000 of the tiny ships, all equipped with lasers. They were easy to kill, but the decoys of the army. They were to annoy, like the Mosquitoes of their name. That was all.

Surrounding the edges of the Mosquitoes cloud were 200 LMV-244 Saracens, the new model of the support ship that Yaforite soldiers used so often. At least 100 more were LMV-243's the old version. Equipped with both lasers and lightening cannons, they were a powerful threat.

The last ship of the fleet were the Black Myrmadions. They were the best Yaforite ships. Over 2 years had been spent on thir shields alone, demonstrating a level of perfectionisem unchrarcteristic of the Yaforites. They were pwerful, with only lightening cannons. They would bring death to the forces of Chaos, return what they stood for to them

And there were the guns, guns at Vadron. They alone were made to combat trans-galactic battleships, to protect the colony world of Harmandrum. In the coming battle, they would be a force for Doomingsland to recon with. Annoying they would be, and, as they were on a planet, unreachable. THey would be powerful.

Yafor 2 was ready. Ready for the first battle of many, the battles that would come because of one captain's involvement at Azaha.

Bridge of the Defiler

"M'lord, we're coming onto the system." yelled an ensign.

"Excellent, take us out of warp." replied Skorm in a calm, authoritive tone. He looked out at the view screen at the armada assembled before him. "Alright, here's how we'll do this:" he said almost instantly after looking at sensor logs, "the heretics have positioned small vessels throughout the system. They aren't much of a threat to our cap ships, but they may be able to pick off our fighters. I want the star destoryers to move forward on my command to take out the small vessels with their turbolasers. That won't take long. After that, send the bombers along with their escort. They'll hit their bigger ships with supporting fire from the destroyers. While we're doing that, we'll maneuver the Defiler along their flanks and use the main gun on Vadron while targetting the rest with turbolasers and ion cannons. Understood?" he finished.

"Yes sir. Awaiting orders."

"Go."

On that command, 700 Star Destroyers moved forward at full impulse, already opening up with their turbolasers on the Mosquito cloud. It wouldn't take very long to obliterate all of them with the sheer number of guns trained on them.

The Mosquitoes were, of course, small ships. And that had advantages, as Dommingsland would soon find out. As the Ship Commanders realized they were fired on, the Mosquito cloud moved and then evaporated. Or at least, to the untrained eye, seemed to evaporate. In the vastness of space, the tiny shipd seemed not there.

Ship Commander Omar Sharif was in charge of the LMV-244 and LMV-243 Saracens and he was ready. The support ships regrouped and flew forward, firing lasers and lightening at an equal pace. The moved into boarding distance and came closer, almost grappling with Dommingsland's 700 Star Destroyers. It was almost an even battle.

Locked in his Black Myrmadion, Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov quickly radioed all of the Black Myrmadion commanders.

"Engage their bombers! Quickly!" Yaforites were used to following orders, as thy demonstrated with the following obeying of the order.

Then the giant guns on Vadron, Yafor 2' largest Military base, blared to life. Alone, they could take out a fleet.

OOC:You do realize how high a percentage 700 Star Destroyers are of you 1,000 ship fleet?

OOC:700 ISDs not counting fighters, actualy, there's only 700 ships, but one thousand sounded alot cooler at the time of post, ya know?

IC:

"Sir! The enemy is closing!"

"Order the SSDs to cease fire, concentrate on their ships with ion cannons. Swarm them. Oh, and boarding parties would help."

"Aye sir."

"Now, prepare to fire the weapon on Vadron."

"Yes, my lord, we're all charged."

"Good. Wipe them out."

All of a sudden, a massive ball of blue energy began to form in front of the Defiler, tearing up the very fabric of space. Once the ball was 3/4ths the size of the ship, it began to dissepate into a concentrated beam which was flung at Vadron. Once it hit the surface, the energy would scorch the surface and encompass the planet while pouring into any continental shelves or volcanoes, literaly ruptering the planet's core, and causing it to leak to the surface. This was why the ship was called "World Cleanser".

As that happened, the Star Destroyers began to swarm the enemy support craft, hitting them with heavy ion cannons while the bombers raked key systems with plasma weapons.

As soon as the beam had finished fireing, the Defiler began to target the Black Myrmadons with its four massive quad ion cannon turrets and its some thousand turbolaser turrets.

OOC:I know. ;) Also, I hope you don't consider this godmodding, as this is my technology.

BIC:

The bolts were powerful and the "World Cleanser" was great, but Vadron was Yafor 2's best military base on a planet. And so it showed, with the base's Iron Locks, functioning both as Air Locks and protection. Only the best buildings had Iron Locks around them, but they were unharmed. As to the rest....

Inside Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov's Black Myrmadion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

As demonstrated at Azaha and many times before, the Black Myrmadions were capable of both dodging and blocking ion cannons, as they did now. Long ago, Yafor 2 had abandoned ion cannons as unwieldy weapons that didn't fit on their fleets, which were mainly built on speed.

Flotilla Commander Gudanov was afraid, now, as much of Vadron was defiled and broken. Though the "World Cleanser" had not done what is was supposed to, it had still killed over 2,000 men. "Attack!" he radioed and the Black Myrmadions surged forward, while still dodging ion blasts.

"Sir! They're dodging our fire."

"Bastards. Oh well, try torpedoes, in that case. Hahahaha." replied Skorm with a twisted smile.

"Aye sir, torpedo banks ready."

"Fire."

With that command, the more than 300 photon torpedo tubes being fed by a self-replicating ammunition resivour, an autoloader that uses transported technology to give each one a rate of fire of roughly ten rounds per second (though it didn't do this constantly, it usualy fired 3 second bursts), opened fire on the Myrmadons. Each torpedo was a highly maneuverable thrust system, allowing them to keep pace with the Myrmadons. Nearly 20,000 torpedoes were fired within five seconds.

As that was going on, the Star Destroyers continued their swarm tactics on the support craft. Now boarding parties were ready to go, and boarding pods were loosed at the support vessels, which would fly in at high speed, and begin to cut through the hull into the crew compartments. In addition to that, they would inject nanites into the ship, which would move to fry key systems, concentrating on the engines to make the ships easy prey. Each support craft would have roughly ten pods with twelve Marines each latching onto the hull.

The Black Myrmadions, named so in imitation of Achilles' soldiers combined with the word die, were not used to torpedo fire. They could not dodge the speedy weaponry, thus taking away the fleet of Yafor 2's greatest advantage. Most of the Yaforite ships were smaller than most and made to dodge, nothing else.

Flotilla Commander Gudanov was calmer, now, for he had a plan. "Lasers!" he radioed to the other commanders. Only lightening cannons could be seen on the ship, but now, rising up, were lasers. They quickly fired back, cutting the torpedos in half. It worked, but two Black Myrmadions were destroyed.

The Saracens were ready for battle. But no one could have anticipated what would happen next.

Forgotten by the Dooman Cruiser Fleet, the tiny Mosquitoes had returned. Too small to do damage to the giant ships, unless in a gigantic swarms, they could, however, engage the boarding vessels. As they did. The boarding pods would never reach the Saracens, if they had a say.

Sir! Two destroyed!

Continue fireing with torpedoes, keep them busy. How long until the main gun is charged?

Ten more minutes.

Very well, keep up the torpedo barrages and add the turbolasers in, as well.

Aye, sir. replied the weapons officer, who quickly ordered the turbolasers to concentrate on the distracted Myrmadons.

Meanwhile, the boarding pods had been making their way towards the Sacrens and other vessels. The Mosquitoes hadn't been quick enough to intercept a large number of the fast boarding pods, which latched onto the hulls of the ships and began to cut through and drain systems, but they had managed to knock out quite a few of them after they'd latched on. The pods then activated their refractive armor, severely weakening the effects of the lasers, and giving their defense systems (each one carries a turbolaser turret) time to lock on and and open up on the Mosquitoes.

The Star Destroyers, meanwhile, continued to target the larger ships, but trained and fired some of their turbolasers on the Mosquitoes.

Losses-

Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov watched, scared, as the enemy pods began to cut through his ships. He saw the solution, though it was not one he would undertak lighly. He was afraid that it would backfire, that he would end up with NO men, instead of a few. But did he had a choice?

"EJECT!!" he yelled to the Saracen commanders, man of whom were already engaging in that activity. Small pods came out and the men piled on and went out. Soon all the pods were off, and gone to the base.

It wasn't, however, as it may have seemed. The Yaforites, if anything, had had a severe shortage of fighting men, and over 400 more Saracens, both 243's and 244's were unmanned in the base. Very soon they would return, with new soldiers.

And for the Myrmadions? Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov had a plan. Then, Lightenng Cannons roared to life and Praetor Skorm's ship would b engulfed in lightening, when it reached.

Bridge of the Defiler

"My lord, the enemy flees their vessels."

"Good, order the destroyers to target the Mymadons. Target the escape pods. Main gun."

"Aye, m'lord."

"Fire."

Suddenly, a massive ball of energy errupted from the front of the mighty vessel, growing nearly as large as the ship before it disapated into a concentrated beam, which was targetted at the fleeing escape pods. Once hitting at the center of that formation, the ball of energy would tear open a rift between sub and normal space, making it so the pods couldn't go anywhere, literaly tearing them apart between the two realms. The explosion would be enourmous, easily enough to cover most if not all of the pods. As that happened, the lightning cannon rounds began to impact the Defiler, but the vessel's muli-leveled shielding proved to be too much. They managed to knock out one out of three layers, but that wouldn't do them any good, because now the Defiler was even more pissed than before, and showed that when they commenced fire with torpedoes again.

The pods that were attached to the abandoned vessels, after that attack, ejected off, and shot back towards their mother ships.

The destroyers, on the other hand, commenced fire on the remaining Mymadons with turbolasers along with the torpedo tubes and turbolasers on the Defiler.

The pods, most of whom had already reached Vadron, began to explode, sending debris across the area. Metal and scrap sped every which way, speeding past. Over 7 of the damaged pods flew right at the destroyers. It would be surprising if they survived.

Meanwhile, on Vadron itself, the largest guns, the "Darkwin Blasters", had been charging up the whole battle. They alone could destroy many ships, burining and killing rampantly. Then, they fired. A massive wave of energy went, not at the Defiler or at the destroyers, but the abandoned Saracens. Full of energy, electricity, and fuel, the Saracens literally were blown to pieces. The force of the explosion was magnificent. Ad the destroyers were the nearest ships, it was unlikly that any of them would have survived.

The Myrmadions were using all their skill to dodge and fire back. After that first wave of lightening, none had come. And none would, until commanded.

The massive blaster bolts impacted the abandoned Sacrens, destroying the one hundred Star Destroyers that were still nearby. This was a crushing blow to the fleet, which had taken minimal losses before that. Enough was enough.

"Ensign, prepare an alpha strike for Vadron."

"Yes, sir."

The torpedo tubes on the Defiler suddenly ceased to fire, along with the turbo lasers. New ammunition was replicated and transported to the tubes. Nuclear ammunition.

Each torpedo had the equivelent yeild of 15 megatons. Suddenly, the three hundred torpedo tubes spat out roughly 10,000 rounds, all of them targetted at the base on Vadron. 10,000 nuclear devices...

After that, the remaining 580+ ISDs commenced fire with their turbo lasers on the Myrmadons, waiting for Defiler to rejoin with the torpedoes.

10,000 nuclear devices....the thought still radiated inside Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov's head, even after the momentous event that they would cause. They had not targeted the base, which had the Iron Locks, but the planet itself. And that was evident.

The blast itself was magnificent, flame and debris speeding in every direction. The entire planet didn't fall. Only a quarter of it. It wasn't blown, the planet, that is, but a quarter of it was literally exploded. Afterwards, it looked like a god had taken scoops out of it with a massiv ice cream scoop. The base was undamaged, but the planet?

"Enough is enough!!" The Flotilla Commander radioed, "Let's show them!!" And the "Darkwin Blasters", the same ones who had destroyed the Saracens, attacked the Defiler. And the other planatary guns, came to life, attacking the remaining ISD's.

And out of Vadron came the new Saracens, both LMV-243's and LMV-244's, these were the reason the other ships had been abandoned. They returned, attacking the ISD's.

And the Black Myrmadions fired their lightening cannons again, again, and again.

IC:

"Sir, their base still stands!"

"What?!?! How is this possible!?" yelled a very distraught Skorm.

"Well, it appears their shielding is far more advanced than we thought..."

"Bah! Wait, what the- countermeasures!" he shouted as the rounds began to impact the Defiler, coming very close to ripping through the second shield layer. As more rounds hit, that too was breached, leaving the only tetriary layer between the enemy weapons and the thick hull armor.

When he said countermeasures, he didn't mean simple distractions, he meant actualy sending a reverse energy pulse down at the enemy guns, literaly piggybacking the enemy's beams to send an equivelent energy beam down through their shielding to eliminate their guns (this occured on both the Myrmadons and surface based weapons). As this was happening, the World Cleanser was almost done recharging for one final attack on Vadron...

The ISDs, on the other hand, did the unthinkable (yet is was a very common practice in Dooman warfare): a single ISD would literaly warp over to a large formation of enemy vessels, and self destruct. Ten of them did so, while the rest commenced fire with their turbolasers and torpedoes.

Inside Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov's Black Myrmadion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The last thing that Flotilla Commander Charles Gudanov expected was for the enemies to try to stuff things up his guns. The Myrmadions' guns were too small for that, but the massiv planatary guns, especiallly the "Darkwin Blasters" were in danger. The equivilent energy beams went down the "Darkwin Blasters".....and then returned. In a different way, that is. The beams flew backwards, forced so by the strength of the energy pulses released by the "Darkwin Blasters". And they went RIGHT AT THE DEFILER.

The Myrmadions were ready now. At the Flotilla Commanders' word, they fired one more round of lightening, all hundereds of them. Lightening flew right at the Defiler. With the "Darkwin Blasters" shots strong enough to pierce the first level of armor, it was unlikly that the ship would survive. But mistakes and miscalculations could always happen....

"Main gun's charged!!!"

"FIRE! yelled Skorm in his most desperate moment.

As the beams from the Darkwin Blasters came back at the Defiler, the mighty World Cleanser fired one last time. The resulting effect did what the Blasters had just done with the other weapons: the beams were absorbed by the massive beam, and sent back down to the planet. The resulting beam would be powerful enough to crack right through into the planet's core and split it apart (or at least kill the planetary guns).

Then came the lightning cannons, which ravaged the final shielding layer, leaving only the thick hull armor. The Defiler then resumed the torpedo barrages, this time loading with more high yield torpedoes, unloading nearly 40,000 torpedoes on what was left of the Myrmadions.

The Destroyers took advantage of the shock from the self destructing vessels, and once again launched their boarding pods at the remaining vessels, which would then cut through the hulls and systems into the ships to finally bring an end to the epic battle.

One of the serious miscalculations the Yaforites had made when they selected a lighting cannon as a weapon was the fact that lightining is very ineffective on metal. As the lightning cannon rounds impacted the Defiler's armor, the electricity bended around the surface of the vessel, unable to penetrate, but electrifying the surface, and preventing nanites from carrying out repairs.

And so, the Defiler continued to lay down a constant barrage of torpedoes on the Myrmadions. It was only a matter of time before the Yaforites were completely annihillated...

Since the Sacrens seemingly ignored the boarding pods latching onto their hulls and attacked the destroyers, the pods (roughly 5 per ship) began to cut through the hulls and inject nanites into the systems, seeking to fry their shields, engines, and weapons.

The Myrmadions began to dodge again, speeding and alternatively firing lasers at the torpedoes. It was a smart plan, to use the speed on the Yaforites. They were good at this sort of thing, as that was what they had had in mind when they had been made. And they could keep it up for a long time.

The Saracens were another matter. One thing the nanites could not get past was the advanced "robocodebloc" technology the Yaforites used, a group of codes, metal protectors, phisical uses, and psycological defenses. The only thing that COULD fathom out the "robocodebloc" was a human who was not prone to pain (bodily, spritually, and mentally) and impossibly strong. Was there one?

The Saracen hulls were pure cardomium, a metal found of Goragney, a strong metal that, mixed with styrafoam(of all things) was nearly impossible to break. Nonetheless, a few Saracens were killed.

The Mosquitoes returned to attack the pods and the Saracens the destroyers.

Once the AI on the pods relised that the ships weren't dying, they went to plan b: inject the hostile ship full of plasma energy. This would be injected in place of the nanites, and serve to simply burn a big hole in all of the systems and the hull itself.

When the Mosquitoes arrived, they would find targetting the small pods on the moving Sacrens and other vessels quite difficult, but none the less, they managed to destroy several.

The Defiler, on the other hand, made use of the advanced targetting systems found on the turbolasers to fire torpedoes to cause the enemy ships to fly right into the bolts of energy fired by the thousands of turrets found on the vessel.

The Destroyers turned to engaging the Mosquitoes.

The Saracens were, as "robocodebloc" had proved, on the main, immune to plasma. When the Yaforites had started with a newer technology, they had experimented with ion cannons, voipshields, and plasma. None had been the way Elected Duke Rudiv Sodo wanted it. So, with Chief Scientist Fred Wilkins at their head, they designed their own technology. However, not all the ships were immune.

Two years had been spent on the Black Myrmadion shields and it showed. The blasts bounced off, with only one not.

The Saracens began to fire, attacking the destroyers. The Mosquitoes dodged left and right.

Now, at last, came Yafor 2's big blow. The most powerful ships (in the way others measured power) were coming, shipd that had been forgotten in the initial attack. The Command Centers, massive juggernauts of power. Alone in the Yaforite fleet were they, with plasma and ion cannons. But they were slow and unwieldy, but perfect for the purpose they were here for.

OOC:Congradulations, you have just made the mistake of fighting the Defiler in a proper battle.

IC:

As the ships were about to lift off...

My lord, I am detecting multiple heavy vessels lifting off from Vadron.

Oh? Well, I suppose it's time we finish the job there, then.

With that command, another 40,000 nukes were spewed from the torpedo tubes of the Defiler, this time aiming for the large crater. The concentrated force of the nukes would be enough to literaly boil the atmosphere and split the planet apart, thereby preventing the ships from lifting off.

The Yaforites had indeed made a mistake, but it was rectified by chance. Yes, chance. The 7 Command Centers, who had just lifter off, ha the bad fortune of being in the way. Yes, 6 of them were destroyed and the last was immensly disabled, but it was rectification.

OOC:My version of a humorous post. Also, how much ammo does the Defiler have?
Doomingsland
01-03-2005, 17:58
OOC:It would theoretically have unlimited ammo do to the use of its self replicating magazine, but it requires tons of energy to do so (but the Defiler isn't gonna run out of juice anytime soon)

IC:

"My lord, their vessels have been destroyed."

"Excelent. How long until the main weapon is charged?"

"Another ten minutes."

"Good, in the mean time, try and finish off as many as you can."

"Yes, m'lord."

After seeing that attacking the Mymidions wasn't having the desired effect, the Defiler proceeded to change targets, now concentrating on the Sacrens and other vessels with torpedoes.

As this was happening, the destroyers engaged their warp engines, putting them just 500 miles away from the battle. At the exact moment they made the jump, the boarding pods activated their self destruct, giving them enough explosive power to rip through the hulls of virtualy every ship they'd latched on to, but destroying virtualy all of the boarding parties at the same time.

OOC: Do you wanna end this battle? It's been great, so I think ending it here would be really interesting.

BIC:

The Saracens, or a few of them, literally exploded. Fire and debris flew through the air, mostly smashing into the Defiler. Flame burst up, and Choas reigned for a minute. Then silence.

Losses: 320 out of 400 Saracens.

The commander's eyes were dark and furious. He was a usually calm man, but when he lost it, he lost it. "Ready the lasers," he ordered to the other Myrmadion captains.

Then an Idea struck him. "To the commanders on the planet, we still have those 700 nukes! Nuke the defiler at my word."

Transmission to the Defiler

Dear Praetor Skorm,
It has been a long battle and you are mighty. You have proved your worth twice over and twice over. But now, as the day moves into dusk, we ask for a declaration of peace.

This is not surrendering. It is peace and we urge you to accept.

OOC:Well, I'm kinda wanting to have a ground battle, but if you really want to end it....

IC:

"Sir, main weapon's charged."

"Very well, prepare to f-"

"Sir! They've sent a transmission!"

"Oh? Show me." he said with a puzzled look on his face. After looking it over, he smiled and prepared a response.

RE: Your surrender

Greetings worthy adversary,

You have fought well this day, and I am certain your exploits are worthy of a song or two. However, your wish for peace can be granted under only one condition: the surrender of this system. You may evacuate the remainder of your fleet and 5% of the system's population, but no more than that. If you agree, we shall trouble you no longer. Should you refuse, we shall have no choice but to annihilate all who resist. Please, for the sake of your countrymen, choose wisely.

OOC:Vadron, yes. Harmandrum(which is in another system), no. That's why I call it a pullout and not a surrender. ;)

That will happen if we can evacuate 75% of the people in it. You will still have sacrifices and we s=will still have survivors. Fair?

Once that last transmission had been recieved, the Defiler assumed orbit over Harmandrum. The men within the bowels of the mighty vessel marched onto the boarding ramps of dropships, or into the tiny drop pods. Soon they would be bringing fresh converts on board the Defiler. It was time to replenish the ranks...

And at the same time, Yaforites were leaving. Gone, in one hour, they were, gone forever from those worlds.

OOC:Good RP! See you around...or not. ;)

OOC:Yup, that was fun.

IC:

As the drop pods came shooting down towards the planet's surface, the marines within them chanted their foul war songs. The pods plunged into the planet's surface, and the marines stepped out into their newly conquered world. They quickly established a perimeter, and within an hour, six heavy dropships laden with converts touched down. The men all exited in perfect order, marching in step.

The men had all received orders to sieze every living thing they found, and to kill any who resisted. Once they'd formed up into a vast formation numbering in the hundreds of thousands, the men ran into the city, splitting off into smaller and smaller groups as they entered alleyways and homes, dragging out the inhabitants.

On numerous occasions, Yaforites had attempted to flee, only to get hit in the back with a bolt of plasma, burning right through their chests. That, or they were chased down by more patient soldiers, making use of their superior strength and speed. The rest of the remaining Yaforites were hastily dragged in chains to a massive vessel that had just set down on the surface. This was a conversion center, and here they would find eternal salvation....
