OOC: Ok, here's a little RL information for you. Our region was founded last March along with my nation and the current occupants are all friends who used to go to the same school but now have departed for pastures new (!) at different colleges. We like to talk and argue avidly about our nations and are looking for friendly like minded people to talk, debate and RP with.
We have tried before to attract members but have suffered from the confusion of nations who seem to muddle up what our region is all about.

Anyone is welcome to join (new or old nations) and our region offers chat, jokes, friends and RP experience. Thanks very much.

"We are a nation, and we are signle minded. But also we are part of a region, one which is crumbling. I readily accept that we are the poorest nation of the region, and I do not wish to cause any arguments here, but also I feel the happiest. Other nations in this region are economically strong, yet have less trees and forests. To semi-quote a famous french philosopher, I do not agree with all the policies which other countries have in place, but I do respect their right to those policies.
This was to make everybody understand that our regional downfall cannot be blamed on any one nation. I do not believe it can be blamed on any of our nations at all.
This region needs to open up what it can offer, but also to open up to what it can receive. I have had a meeting with all 4 other leaders in the region, and we have signed a deal opening the region to new nations, new people, who will, I'm sure, want to settle here and prosper here. The regional leader has kindly offered to deal with any economic issues raised [including offers to prospective countries]. In light of all this I hope you will see that this cannot be a bad move.
But it certainly is a good move, more trade options, more touristic options, more diversity and culture badly needed.
As usual I am opening any decisions that the people may wish to have a say on to a vote, but I am sure that you will soon realise the great things which can happen not just to the region but also specifically to our nation, in the near future.
