OOC: I'm bored, and as such this takes place in "Earth DA."
IC:
To long have the Kuwaiti people suffered under the opressive regime of a monarchy. The Worker's State to Kuwaits south understood the suffering of the Proletarians. The True Directorate (Socialist Party of Hallad) knew the oppression of the Bourgeoisie. Therefore the masses of Kuwait needed to be Liberated.
A force of 40,000 Republican Guard and 20,000 Regulars mobilized on the boarder three weeks ago with a logistical force of 240,000. These were all voluntary men, the combatants and the logistical men. Early in the morning the order was given to cross the boarder.
A "Shock and Awe" streategy was used. Three regiments of MiG-28 Flounders were sent on ground attack missions along escorted by two regiments of MiG-2000s. Later three regiments of Tu-95 Bears were deployed to make bombing runs on anti-air defenses. Three Tu-95 Bears, one MiG-28, and one MiG-2000 were lost in their raids. Cruise missiles from the Halladi fleet then targetted areas of large military build up. Kuwaiti losses have not be accounted for yet.
The ground forces then began their assualt. On the first day of the invasion resistance was harsh. The Kuwaiti forces had been expecting something. One hundred thrity-nine Republican Guardsmen were killed, another twenty wounded. Forty-five Regulars were also killed, one hundred forty wounded, along with thirty deaths with the logistical troops.
Sheer Halladi expieriance and tenacity have been seen prevailing, however. Three cities were taken in a matter of hours: Qasr, Salemy, and Al-Wafrah.
