OOC: I'm bored, and as such this takes place in "Earth DA."

IC:

To long have the Kuwaiti people suffered under the opressive regime of a monarchy. The Worker's State to Kuwaits south understood the suffering of the Proletarians. The True Directorate (Socialist Party of Hallad) knew the oppression of the Bourgeoisie. Therefore the masses of Kuwait needed to be Liberated.

A force of 40,000 Republican Guard and 20,000 Regulars mobilized on the boarder three weeks ago with a logistical force of 240,000. These were all voluntary men, the combatants and the logistical men. Early in the morning the order was given to cross the boarder.

A "Shock and Awe" streategy was used. Three regiments of MiG-28 Flounders were sent on ground attack missions along escorted by two regiments of MiG-2000s. Later three regiments of Tu-95 Bears were deployed to make bombing runs on anti-air defenses. Three Tu-95 Bears, one MiG-28, and one MiG-2000 were lost in their raids. Cruise missiles from the Halladi fleet then targetted areas of large military build up. Kuwaiti losses have not be accounted for yet.

The ground forces then began their assualt. On the first day of the invasion resistance was harsh. The Kuwaiti forces had been expecting something. One hundred thrity-nine Republican Guardsmen were killed, another twenty wounded. Forty-five Regulars were also killed, one hundred forty wounded, along with thirty deaths with the logistical troops.

Sheer Halladi expieriance and tenacity have been seen prevailing, however. Three cities were taken in a matter of hours: Qasr, Salemy, and Al-Wafrah.

The fighting had now been going on for a week. There were now five hundred dead, mostly from fierce urban combat. Three forths of Kuwait was under Halladi control, and the only areas still controlled by the Kuwaiti monarchy was a strip of land from the capital to the Iraqi boarder.

With help from a divisions of Marines, the area known as Bubiyan Island was taken with relative ease. The Kuwaiti airforce had been anhillated and dozens flocked to desert to Halladi forces every hour. Several underground Socialist and Communist groups had also begun to surface and support the Halladi intervention.

In areas of Halladi control, a new government was implaced under the control of Socialist organizations which were reviewed to ensure they were "fit for the job." Mainly ones that were democratic and had a militia force of their own were selected.

The Halladi government also announced its plan for national elections. So far three parties have registered, former underground Socialist organizations. The new parties are the Kuwaiti Directorate, the Socialist Labour Party, and the Socialist Worker's Party.

Nearly three days after an Internim government had been patched together, the Kuwaiti Royalist Government collapsed. The Royal Family was put under the custody of the Commissariat of Justice, of the Hallad Socialist Republic of Kuwait. Which, consists of the old Kuwaiti police and Ministry of Justice.

The occupation force now patrols Kuwaiti cities and keeps the peace. There have been little insurgents, but those who have risen up were taken into custody. The Halladi Corps of Engineers is now working to clear the country of any mine fields, and fix bridges, repair buildings and ensure all Oil Fields and Refineries are working.

It is expected that the Worker's State will soon bring the Kuwaiti economy to a Socialist one. The top 500 corporations and companies are expected to be taken, with compensation, and turned into Worker's Co-operatives.
