"In order to cut down on obesity and obesity related diseases, I am instituting a set of laws against obesity. Enjoy."-The Great Leader Li.

Obesity Law #1:

Physical education in schools shall be mandatory. Any child that cannot keep up with a government standard shall publicly chastized.

Obesity Law #2:

Body fat shall be taxed, 2% of annual income for each % of body fat over 25% body fat.

Obesity Law #3:

Those with large muscle mass are exempted.

Obesity Law #4:

Those of military age with military obligations suffering from obesity will be given free liposuction and gene therapy. Those that do not comply will be shot.

Obesity Law #5:

Any medical problems resulting directly from overeating, such as heart disease and diabetes, shall not be covered by the national health plan. And trust me, the government will know.

Obesity Law #6:

Those citizens who are genetically obese will be given free genetic therapy.

perhaps a clause could be added, creating an alternate ending to the movie 'Heavyweights' where, instead of leaving, ben stiller eats all the fat kids. this movie would then be screened at fat camps nation-wide. ;)

We have an obestiy rate of 1% due to a tax on being overweight. This one was the threat of a 100% tax on the value of the car.

We used to have this problem, but when we took care of our Protestant Christian problem, the obseity plague seemed to take of itself, so there was no need to pursue any more programs to cut down on it, though we still keep some form of physical education mandatory (the kids just pick the sports so they will want to particpate).

The Federation and the Party approve of the actions taken, seeing it as a bold step to eliminate an ever growing health problem. We actually find all of the clauses almost entirely acceptable, and not all too upsetting, as one almost would have been expecting.

The Great Nyib-on-Earth fully endorses these clauses, and is planning to introduce it in The Holy Republic Nyibbit as an excellent way of protecting it's loyal inhabitants from the dangers of obesity.
