NESTWOOD (NSPP)-- It was a lovely day in Gillon, a city in Bureaucracia situated on Lake Sheridan. All the cafés were having record business, because it was so lovely. The sun was shining, there were only one or two clouds in the sky. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a huge hole opened up on the street outside Café Bureau. At first, two cars fell into the huge hole, which seemed to be a pothole. It wouldn't be suprising, given the Honorable Chuck E. Dwight did very little in the road department. But the pothole quickly grew into a huge crack in the surface of Bureaucracia, the city of Gillon, and a part of the Earth. It completely swallowed Café Bureau, along with hundreds of tourists and residents. Gillon's population is 468,920 (2005 Bureaucracian Census estimate). Its population was 430,095 in the last Census, taken in 2002. After the earthquake was over, the recuperation began. Until the tsunami from Lake Sheridan struck, and killed an estimated 469 people. But that figure is rising. Currently, the overall death toll is at about 975 or so, but this is rising, too. We need aid and building supplies. And not just for Gillon. In Ardoban, another city, it was felt as the equivalent of a 6.4 and collapsed three or so buildings, and in Xavier, it was felt as a 7.2, with ten buildings collapsing and sixty presumed dead. In Central City, the capital of Bureaucracia, which is far away from Ardoban, Xavier or Gillon, it was felt as only a 4.9, which warranted the leader of Bureaucracia, Honorable Chuck E. Dwight to say "The elections will go on."

In the city we are reporting from, Nestwood, it was felt as a 5.2. Cabinet member and Director of Funds Perry Chambers, who has held the post since December of 2003, when Dwight came to power, refused to comment. A tourist who escaped the earthquake visiting Xavier said to our reporter, "I've never seen anything like it before. I thought I was meeting my demise, but I cheated it by about fourteen feet. I never thought I would live. Thank God my family is alive, too. I'm very depressed that others are not as fortunate."

The Federal Republic of Canada is sad to hear about the natural national disaster that has occured in your nation. We'll be sending our Disaster Emergency Quick Response Team (DART) of 750 personnel to assist your people in giving them medical supplies. Since your a dictatorship our policy is not to give your nation any financial aid at this time. We'll be sending you building supplies later on with our Engineer Corps.

Krioval is able and willing to send two hundred of our Healers to assist in the recovery effort as well as a small peacekeeping force of fifty Paladins. We regret that our modest size and level of productivity is unable to contribute substantially to financial reconstruction.

We, The United States of Nova Panoptik will be able to send building teams and materials to the cities of Xavier and Gillon, and 800 tons of medical supplies to each.
If needed, we can also send a team of specialists to recover bodies - we have some of the best trained teams to deal with this, as the city Heaven's Gate in Nova Panoptik was destroyed in a hurricane just last year, and teams were formed to find and recover the dead. We understand that this is a sensitive issue, but swift recovery of the dead is needed to prevent the spread of diesease.

The total Lives Saved count is now at 201. Three died though, when the weight of three people trying to get into a rescue helicopter snapped the ladder.
