Due to increased immigration, Cotland have announced a new law on Immigration. The law is listed below.

Chapter I
§ 1 – The only persons who will be granted humanitarian asylum to Cotland shall need to have valid reasons and proof thereof. Any such person is from now on refered to as a “refugee”.
Any person wishing asylum to Cotland, from now on refered to as the "Realm", must report to the Government immediately after arrival for prosess thru the system.
If such report do not exist, the refugee shall be escorted out of the Realm immediately, see § 4.
§ 2 – Valid reasons for residency in the Realm shall be threaths of the following in their native country:
· death
· ethnic cleansing
· violence
· war
Chapter II
§ 3 - If the refugee do not have the proper evidence, they shall be considered illegal immigrants, and be escorted out of the Realm by Federal Police Agents immediately.
§ 4 – By illegal immigrant, we mean a person staying in the Realm without permission from the proper authorities.
There shall be taken no consideration to age, sex or ethnic background when a illegal immigrant is discovered.
Illegal immigrants shall have no civil rights while they reside in Cotland.
Any illegal immigrant discovered in Cotland shall never have the opportunity to return to Cotland. They will be considered persona non grata.
§ 5 – If anyone hides any illegal immigrant, they shall suffer a minimum of 5 years, but no more then 15 years, imprisonment in a Federal Penitentary.
Chapter III
§ 6 – The prosess of verifying the information gathered from refugees shall be prosessed immediately, and be completed no less then 72 hours after first interview.
The first interview shall find place no later then 6 hours after arrival.
§ 7 – Refugees shall be contained in a Government Facility for the duration of their verification. Medical and humanitarian care shall be available for the refugees there.
If the verification do not provide enough reason for residency in the Realm, § 2 shall be utilized.

§ 8 – If the refugee’s story is verified and there are reasons for the person to be allowed to remain in the Realm, the refugee shall be granted residency in the Realm and granted common civil rights.
§ 9 – A refugee can apply of citizenship after 8 years of residency in the Realm.
By citizenship, this law means that the person in question have the right to vote in elections, join the Armed Forces, hold a passport, and call himself/herself a Cottish citizen.
