Taxing ships travelling through the straits is just as exceptable as taxing ships in the canal. Extending your territorial waters to encompass an entire sea is not.

The taxes? Go complain when you've gotten rid of your tariffs.

Im not really involved in that area, but taxing the strait is fine, same thing that you are doing. As to extending control over the whole sea, Im not sure if I have all of the details, but Layerteb's expanding his waters, so he should be able to do the same thing, the amount of traffic in and out of the reigon makes it unwise, I'd take serious offense if it affected me in any major way, and if I had any chance of making a serious impact. I do not have either, so I declare myself neutral.

There is no law denying me to expand my national waters. I completely ignore the U.N. so those laws don't affect me. So like what you did I am taxing all ships entering MY national waters which includes the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. This would have never happened if you didn't start taxing ships using the Suez Canal and I am sure your government is able to pay the maintenance of the canal and the workers.

Perhaps. But I am within my right to demand something in exchange for usage of something which belongs to me, as acknowledged by every nation in Earth II.

I'm not disputing your right to taxate the strait of Bosporus or the strait of Marmara Denizi. Taxate it as much as you wish. I accept that. I do however dispute your right to claim the entire Mediterannean for your own.

I didnt claim the entire Mediterranean Sea for myself. I only claimed the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

Nations in the Eastern Med. Sea get only 6 miles of territorial water.

Completely unacceptable. We maintain a 12 nautical mile territorial waters border, and we intend to continue to maintain it. Any attempt of Greek ships to enter will be considered an act of agression and dealt with accordingly.

Then seize the taxation of ships using the Suez Canal.

Hypothetically (sp?), if I stop charging ships for passage of the Suez, will you drop the claim to the Med.?

This is a perversion of Freedom of the Seas. However, it does not concern us, so we will not take any action. However, NTG must realize that if he wishes to expand his waters, he is embarking on conquest, which doesn't bode well with many nations. This gives another nation an excuse to attack.

Yes I will drop the claim.

Yes I will drop the claim.

This will demand serious consideration. Will it still be dropped if I claim only $1000 for passing? Still hypothetically.
