New combat armour for the DGNT mobile infantry, Im too lazy to think of a decent press release, so heres the stuff:

Some information:
Note that this is a powered combat suit, not a mech. Big differnce :)

Name/Model: Mark IV Combat Suit (CS4), 'Drednaught'
Role: Heavy support/assault
Height: 6ft 4in
Weight: 260lbs (with full combat load)
Armament:
-Hand-held weapons of whatever sort
(Fingers are useful, can handle most assault rifles, and anything up to a .50 caliber machine gun)
-Wrist mounted grenade launcher
(Contains a magazine of small chemical charges to launch most types of grenades)
-Wrist mounted flame projector
(Napalm based for planetary action, can used a plasma-based variety for space/boarding actions)
-Wrist mounted cutting torch
(Useful in some cases, basicaly an arc welder)
-Shoulder mounted (light) rocket launcher
(Anti-personel rockets)
-Shoulder mounted assault cannon (20mm autocannon)
(Requires a brace, includes a bipod. Fires a variety of ammunition, fed from backpack magazine)
-Shoulder mounted AA/AP missile launcher
(anti-air or anti-tank, somewhat larger than the rocket launcher and only has one missile, a reload can be carried by anybody who wants ten pounds of high explosive strapped to their back)
-Shoulder mounted caltrop/minimine projector
(Lays down pattern of caltrops (sort of spikey thingies arranged so that theres always a point in the air, very bad for your feet.) or very small mines, just powerful enough to put a serious hole in your foot.
-Back mounted 75mm mortar
(Its a mortar, whats there to explain?)
-Back mounted heavy rockets
(high explosive rockets, naturally)
-Back mounted demo-pack
(Lots of high explosive, used for heavy demolition, or in extreme cases, suicide attacks...not that DGNT advocates such things.)
-Jumppack
(Provides jet-assistance in your jumping activities, easily modified for space travel)

(more, possibly)

NOTE! READ THIS!
All of this is modular. The suite can mount two wrist-weapons, two shoulder weapons (Though most of the shoulder weapons are heavy enough that only one is practicle) and one backpack weapon. These can be switched out givin ten minutes and a semi-skilled technical operator.

Max running Speed: 15mph
Max Sustained Speed (over 50 miles): 6mph
Max Lifting Weight (on full battery charge): ~420lbs
Maxmimum Range (on a standard battery): ~2,500mi
Max battery life: ~36hrs
Armour Thickness: 2-4in
Armour materials: Varied steel, carbon nano-tube, titanium alloys, DU-alloy breastplate
Sensors: Clear faceplate, Minicameras cover left, right and rear angles. Full 360 degree coverage.
IR scanner for night operations.

Information:
- The suit can stop a 5.56 round at all but point-blank range.
- Modular parts provide easy maintenance access
- Improved suit AI can provide basic instruction in the operation of most vehicles/weapons.
- All suits contain two self-destruct charges. One in the back and one in the helmet. The back-mounted version frys the main computer and battery, removing all important information, the other blows the useres head into tiny, tiny peices. These two charges effectivly remove all purpose to attempting to capture the suit.
- ECM/EMP resistant
- Full NBC protection, if your close enough to worry about the radiation in this suit, it doesnt matter because the suits joints have fused and you were baked instantly.
- Full environment suite, keeps the user at a comfortable humidity/temperature.
- Oxygen supply + Scrubbers mean the user can survive ~14 hours in raw vacume.

Cost is G25,000 intialy, including all of the mods. By itself the suit is still capable, costing G4,500.

((OOC: I use 9mm so I'm good :P. On another note, can SpecOps use it?))

Yup, SpecOps is quite possible. Possibly we could find some fibre-optic stealth...

I would say that it's very nice. However, it seems like you know more about this kind of thing then I do, so take that as you will. :)

Since you seem to be better at this then me, would you mind taking a look at this similar system?

Your thoughts would be very much appriciated.

Nice work! They are similar to the Battle Tech power suits.

Wait a sec! Isn't this from Marathon, that game that Bungie made before they made Halo? I'm watching you.

COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!!

And if it is, you should use Mark VI, Master Chief's armor in Halo 2, duh!

OOC:
Most FT nations use either mecha or powered armour. In fact, quite alot of shows (most anime, but hey) use powered armour and/or mecha. Youll be doing alot of sueing.
Anyway, the stats are totaly original, even if the idea isnt.

"Mark IV" is the term used for Bungie's armor line from Marathon. THats why it caught my attention.

and I wasnt serious about suing. I have a sense of humor.

Pretty snazzy. Although if this is going to be used in future tech, you'll want to make it able to resist far more firepower. .50 cals at point blank range, minimum. Most FTers who still use projectile weapons use some sort of ultra high-velocity railgun or similar weapon that carries a helluva lot more punch than a 5.56mm round.

New Jyria: Actually Mark IV is the name of the Cyborg/player in the Marathon games, not the name of his armor. He's a Mjolnir Mark IV military cyborg.

I will take ten Mark IV suits, bare minimum armament, we can equip them ourselves. With a bit of luck, we can start making our own. The money is being wired to you as we speak.

Of course...I actually meant a .566 round :p
Which is another feature I should have included...modular armour enhancements. Neat idea, I figure. Basicaly, build a bare framework suite with the motors and attachments and such, then build addon armour of various sizes. Too expensive, meh.
Although I have decided to go with a more modular approach to my equipment overall, it makes sense, if you think about it. Highly flexible and easy to update.

Karchosia:
Done, no mods at all?

Ah. Thanks for the info. I must have misread the wikipedia entry.
