OOC: I already have somebody to RP as the 3 provinces and Slovenia.

IC: President al-Sahaf, looking at where to go next on the maps looked Eastward from Europe...He then looked at his list of claims on Earth III, and he noticed that there was a laps. Land was now free, as a nation had left Earth III, but was not taken off the map.

The three, once separate provinces of Italy, and Slovenia were now empty land. And soon enough, they would fly the Grays Hillian flag.

al-Sahaf called his joint chieves of staff and told them to prepare the military for a posible small conflict. Meanwhile, this telegram was sent out to the trhee provinces and Slovenia:

"It has come to my attention that you are a free governing body. With land on this earth becomming ever more scarce, we would like you to become a part of the Great Grays Hillian empire. This is to ensure your safety as a nation. Failure to comply will result in a conflict in which you will perish and become part of The Empire anyways." He calmly waited a responce.

Empty land. Unclaimed land. Perhaps, but it was still populated, and following the collapse of the previous government, chaos reigned. The Slovenian military, numbering 250,000 men, mostly conscripts, was fighting a bitter compaign in the streets of the capital to wrest control from hardline Communists who had seized key public buildings. In the Italian states, nationalists has seized their opputunity to take control, and a National Guard of around 2,000 people, mostly with inferior and old weaponary, was raised. There was, however, little actual government. The leaders of the nationalist revolution squabled amongst themselves and, as dawn rose over the towns of Northern Italy, men and women lay dead in the streets.

Outside the newly established Parliament of the Independant Trinity States, gunshots rang through the crisp morning air. Inside "Ministers", slef-appointed based on sheer military power, cowered under their desks. Outside a few dozen troops were all that stood in the way of the innumberable factions that wanted to take the capital for itself. It was decided that the best way to end the blood shed would be to surrender. The Grays Hill military could deal with the mess, and then they could fight for independance.

The same morning, in the capital of Slovenia, Government troops were rapidly approaching the city centre. In the middle of a square of Georgian houses, a machinegun post poured lead down the narrow streets, shreding dozens of Government troops. Anyone who stepped into the street was shot, civilian or soldier. The government, however, had tanks. They also had guns and trained and battlehardened soldiers. The revolution would soon be crushed, and the state of Slovenia, with her army and national pride, would not surrender to any foreign ruler. It was made clear in a telegram to Grays Hill authorities that any invasion would be resisted and defeated.

Troops and tanks quickly rushed into the remaining provinces of Italy, joining them with their former peoples. Immeadate areial and naval bombardment of Slovenia commenced. The planes were headed for radar stations throughout the nation. Their mission was to make Slovenia blind in order to make it easier to blow up. Naval bombardment targets were ships in port, and any other military target they found worthy of blowing up. Slovenia would fall...and in a matter of a short time period.

On the ground a small group of men, no more than 15,000 crossed the border into Slovenia. They were accompanied by a group of tanks. There were approzimately 250 M1A2 Abrams that crossed the border. More troops would be sent in when they arrived.

Please cease military activities in the state of Slovenia and begin withdrawl. We wish to arrange a meeting to discuss the future of Slovenia and we are prepared to talk at any time and any place. The SSR of Hrstrovokia does not treat the encroachment of the Empire of Grays Hill upon it's borders and spheres of influence lightly, and considers this latest act of expansionism to be most heinous. Where would you rather we meet, across the table or on the battlefield?

We will not accept the loss of Slovenia to an aggressive imperialist power. The Unified Hrstrovokian Armed Forces are being stood on high-alert. The Supreme Soviet has agreed that if dialogue fails, then war is the only course of action open to us to rectify this situation.

Hrstrovokia, your threats mean nothing to me. And Dimmimar, This would affect me none. I have built a canal running from the Peraian gulf up the border of Iran/Iraq, throught turkey and out into the Med. Sea. This was built in case of a canal closing off to me, so it is doing its purpose. And you shutting off Oil doesnt bother me at all. If you havent noticed, I control almost the entire Middle East, so I have plenty of oil.

At that the First New Incan Umpire Expeditionary Force, which was always on active duty, was told to lock and load for combat. The 1st NIUEF, which consisted of seven NIU divisions of fifty thousand each. The 1st Rapid Reaction Force Division was to be taken by air to Italy and then deployed in positions told to us by Gray Hillain Generals. The 1st RFF was supposed to be flown to Italy with in four days. The rest were to be deployed in Turkey and other parts of Italy for the occupation.

Pedro Casson also agreed to send reserves of up to thirteen more divisions to Turkey and Italy. Only if a major war to break out, that would equal roughly one million soldiers in the Gray Hill Empire, if the war broke out. Along with an questionable number of Special Operation Soldiers.

President al-Sahaf was please with the support. With this many troops helping to defend, more troops could be used for offensive operations should war break out. All forces were on the highest alert possible. Naval ships were patrolling the water about a mile from Hrstrovokian waters. Hundreds of fighters patrolled the skies. Should any plane(s) be headed for Grays Hill, they would be given 3 minutes to turn away, of face being shot down.

al-Sahaf ordered 400,000 more troops to capture Slovenia. The menial 15,000 troops wasn't near enough to do anything with. 120,000 troops, accompanied by 3,000 tanks surged across the border into Slovenia. 150,000 more troops flooded the beaches of Slovenia, to capture the entire Slovenian coast. Once a beach head was established. Tanks would be unloaded and head further inland. The remaining 130,000 troops were air lifted to Slovenia and made an areial assualt on the nation. Slovenia would fall with a thud.

Permission has been granted to Intelligent Neighbors to deploy forces to Turkey. If this does come to war, it will be very bloody, and Hrstrovokia and Dimmimar will both loose tremendos amounts of land. It all rest on their sholders now.

Daily News: Possable War for Osea Truitt (Resource - Internet Webpage)
Troops from the Asian Central Offence Force, or the ASOF, have been dispatched to leave to aid their country's effort in Europe, nearly on the other side of the world.
A Counter-Imperialist Coalition seems to be rising agenst the newly-formmed Earth Three Alliance and the Northern Europe Alliance, at which Osea Truitt must pay their respects to.
The Presidente of Osea Truitt is expected to make a speech within the hour about his plan for this conflict.
Resources have confirmed a 10 million force movement from Asia and South America and that the 1st Dominance Fleet has left its port in Thailand, and there are rumors of the 2nd Fleet leaving United Arab Emirates.
With all this massive movement, it is like war will happen, and there is no chance for peace. May God save us all, for only bloodshed may end this disagreement.

As of today, a nation which I can not pronouse has declaired acts of hostility on our ally of Gray Hills in Italy. In responce, I have personally ordered the massive movement of forces to Sicily and Austria.

As an act, I also call on all Militia from the Austrian and German States to arm up and prepair for any hostile's death. Also, the Automatic Firearms Ban in Austria will be lifted also, as a result of world events.

For all military generalis and commanders listenning, Operation Thunderstruck has begun.

Lights flashed as international, and domestic, reporters yell questions and some, curces. The once greatly accepted Presidente was now being hated by his own people.

In Europe

Under the ocean's surface under the cover of the rough waters of the Mediterranean Sea durring the late night following the conflict's beginning. The 1st Dominance T-/E-/D-Boat Fleet, a massive fleet which all of Osea's powers show.

Their destination was an underground, underwater, navy base in Sicily, which was secretly constructed and some defence systems still under placement. Luckly, the base was designned to hold a whole submercipal fleet, and it the fleet, with the base, was perfectally hidden.

In Turkey, the same incidence was reported to military heads as a navy base hidden under the grounds and waters was filled with the 2nd Dominance T-/E-/D-Boat Fleet. This fleet was more for coastal support and bombardment, and the on-comming war would need that support, no matter what the odds were.

Austrian-Hungarian Border

1 million troops in all, all armed with the GISS Standerd Sheets, awaited the roar of bombers that signalled the war declairation. There was a chance such a thing would not happen, but that was not hoped for. The men here were combat-experianced men from Argentina, Chile, and United Arab Emirates.

At least nine million were said to come if war did happen, and the original two million left, with the militia, would play a little defence game, along with the Golencian aid.

Truitt was ready, and was hoping for a fast and non-large scale bloodshed war, for too many had fallen to the rifles of the Osean Government.

German-Czech Borders
Tanks and troops that had already landed secretly in the night from Nepal and Buhtan walked over the now-dead borders of the left empire. Their targets were to secure the Czech Republic and work into Slovakia to gain an upper hand on "The Nation That Must Not Be Spelt."

It was not conquesting and imperialism, but a strategic view to catch the enemy off guard on neutral borders, and with the current intelligance and if war is declaired, a possable air barrage on Ukrainien forces who had entered. If they hated imperialism so much, why continue?

The communists would fall, ether way or the other.

al-Sahaf was very please with the amount of support from the international community. If war was to break out, it would be long and bloody. With as much defense as we recieved from other nations, an large offensive force is being placed on the borders for a possible first strike.

OOC: I'm not Earth III, but can I get in on this, Grays?

Sorry, this is Earth III only.

Generali Herald Schwarts, a veterain of both the Emiraten and South American Wars, was assigned as the lead Generali in Command for the entire Austrian Armed Forces, at least until this problem died down.

He had brillant plans, of which were decoy tanks and camp tents placed close to the border where they were at night, with lights and oven-like machines to generate heat. They were almost flawless, and in truth, only 300 men were stationed at the large base, at least until more support came from Asia.

The "Decoy Base" was designned to attract attetion to south eastern austria, as in the north east they marched across neutral land under the cover of darkness and hid in forestry and urban developments durring day. After an entire day of travel. the anarchy-controlled lands to Austria's south east had fallen to Osean Orbit.

Their push was not to take control of the lands, but to gain a surprising front agenst Hrstrovokia, the proclaimed "Nation That Shall Not Be Named." The politicans in Honai and Oured were working so if war did come, their favor would be the highest.

On The Other Side of The World - Oured, Argentina

The military advisors to the Presidente worked through-out the day to gain a strategic possition. "War may not come after all, I mean, this is not entirely our battle, and Gray Hills is well defended, half the world is behind them." Mentioned the Lead Generali to the Marvy Force.
"True, but a threat is just enough. We must take out this hostile and head-strong communist before it spreads. Why did we start a war with Communist Brazil? To rid the world of communists! Now, we will sit here and fight with ourselves when the answer is so clear?" Demanded the Lead Admirelo to the T-Boat Fleet, whcih was also the Lead Admirelo to the Navy.

The entire Black Party was broken into three views. Ignore, Keep Defending, or Strike Before They Get a Chance. It seemed only the Presidente could finalize it, and his favorite number was three.

IC: In the West, Slovenian troops were coming up against Grays Hill forces. About 50,000 troops were stationed along the border, where they hoped to stop the enemy with ex-German military rifles and RPG-7s. In the capital, a course of action was decided, and all knew they couldnt stop Grays Hill. Their best hope would be to surrender to Hrstrovokia on their terms.

We, the official government of Slovenia, agree to surrender to Hrstrovokian
forces and provide them safe and unimpeded passage through our country on
the condition that our national sovereignty is restored after the war. If this is
not agreed to, our military, while small and inevitably doomed, will seem to
inflict the heaviest casualties possible upon your military forces and civilian
population. We will use whatever means neccessary to protect ourselves
against foreign agression.

The Grays Hillian Government was outraged at the thought of Slovenia becomming part of Hstrovokia. And immeadiate air strike was ordered, targeting the Slovenian capital. The capital was to be decimated to cut off all government officials.

On the coast, thousands of tanks were unloaded at breakneck speed. Tanks also constantly poured over the Italian/Slovenian border. They shot across streets and fields in the newly Occupied territory. Much of Slovenia had now fallen, and it was only a matter of a short few days untill it all belonged in the Great Empire of Grays Hill. The enire Slovenian coast now belonged to Grays Hill. All that was left to capture was bit along the Austrian border, and the capital. A new group of paratroopers were ordered to land ouside the capital after it had been decimated. Once they had landed, they were to infiltrate the capital and claim it for Grays Hill.

Official Statement from the Government of the Great Empire of Grays Hill: "Should Hrstrovokia accept Slovenia's proposal, there by claiming Grays Hill territory, it would be seen as a declaration of way upon the Great Empire of Grays Hill."

The Supreme Soviet of the SSRH has accepted the surrender of the Slovenian Government and reiterates its pledge to defend and maintain Slovenian independence against this brutal violation of her sovereignty.

The Supreme Soviet has also decided to use extreme force in its efforts to restore Slovenian independence in the absence of any real response with regard to my ultimatum which was presented to the Government of GH 3-days earlier. Atleast we presented you with a choice. All you gave Slovenia was a diktat. Subjugation or death.

As you see, the people of Slovenia would rather die fighting your troops than be cast in your chains.

We are at War. It is total War until the invader has been defeated. There will be no peace, no cease-fire, no compromise. The Supreme Soviet has agreed that the SSRH will only accept a unconditional surrender from the Government of GH.

Once before, Hrstrovokian troops died fighting for Slovenian freedom against the Empire of Fate & Honor. Now, we shall see to it that they did not die in vain. Once more into the breach dear friends.

I'd like, if possible, to do this fair and right, so that means getting a moderator to monitor the thread and defining basic rules such and guidelines, an example being on the use of NBC weapons [yes or no?] and so on. Also, lets cut out the ridiculous uber number-wanking and god-moding [Grays Hill much vaunted Turkish Canal. Can we see the thread where you built this?] thats going on here please, it's just impossible to manage in a war.]

The Presidente had made it final. "Send bombers to major implacements in Ukraine, weaken their line to protect their homelands. I want a few Kegbirds and some new Diablos to penitraite the defence networks and destroy any powerplants or industrialy depots along the Austrian and Czech Borders."

They all confirmed it. The Diablos and Kegbirds had their first mission since their initial production, and it would be deadly.

[OOC: Hrstrovokia, I would like it if you could RP the bombers as I can not get on later tonight, try to make it realilistic, and for an FYI, the TyH-B1 Diablo is a large stealth bomber far more stealthy than the F-117 or B-2. The TyH-A1 Kegbirds carry heavy 12,000lb-20,000lb bombs that have the effect of a small tatical nuclear bomb. Expencive, but useful.

In the capital, a decrepid ex-Soviet radar detected a large number of planes heading towards its position. At once, four Soviet SAMs launched towards the planes (OOC: the ones the Vietcong used in Vietnam and shot down B-52s with... dunno what they're called) and another five 40mm cannon emplacements opened up. The Presidential Guard fired several Stinger missiles towards targets of oppurtunity and others ran to escort the Prime Minister and cabinet out of the capital.

We, the people of Osea Truitt, askes you to surrender to the Hillian and other forces, as we will bring you freedom away from communism and its oppressive grip. This is your last plee before acts of war are made directly torwards your borders.

Five men gathered in the large Command Room in the central Tower in Oured, the fortress-city on the Argentinian-Uruguaese Border. "That's right, tell the 2nd Dominance to leave Turkey and hit Romania with al their might. Get the 1st Dominance to do the same in Slovenia." Commanded the Generali to the Navy, which was also the Councilari to the Presidente.

"Roger." Confirmed the four men as they got on writers to type in the encoded message. "ALL Deployed Naval Units, Strike TARGET ONE." was the message.

War was just on the horizon, and the sun may not come up for a long time.

The SSRH has begun it's operation to liberate the state of Slovenia. The Limited Contingent of Pan-Slavic Forces [PSF], already mobilized since last week and in position in Croatia, rolled across the border en masse today to link up with Slovene forces staging a fighting retreat against GH forces.

BattleGroup Maribor, Ljubljana & Trieste [named after their objectives] under the command of Marshall of the Socialist Republic Gussev are expected to engage GH forces in just a few hours, perhaps even minutes.

In a bid to establish control of the skies over Slovenia, Air Superiority Air Divisions of F-15Es were launched from Zagreb AFB, followed by Strike Fighter Air Divisions of F-16Cs and Tactical Air Support Air Divisions of A-10As.

The Air offensive will continue with Strategic Bomber Air Divisions of B-52Gs and Stealth Bomber Air Divisions of B-2s striking the Italian cities of Udine, Venice & Treviso.

Barrier CAP missions are being flown by F-15Es of ASADs over Hungary, Jugoslavia, Albania, Bulgaria & Rumania. The Army Air Defense Korps has gone into a state of high-alert and has also moved it's Hawk & Nike-Hercules SAMs in substantial quantities to defend these areas.

The Adriatic & Black Sea Fleets are set to defend their respective coasts against seaborne invasions. They will also deter GH & enemy forces use of the Gulf of Venice, the Adriatic, the Straits of Otranto, the Black Sea & the Sea of Marmara. I have instructed General de Santuro to dispatch military forces to Slovenia, effective this morning. I have been informed that parts of the First and Second Fleets have been activated and are headed to Slovenia from Canada and Somalia. We will also be air-dropping forces to the most vulnerable areas--the Chimaean Armed Forces High Command will liase with HAF in this matter.

May the gods have mercy on our enemies, because we certainly will not.

The first planes landed in Croatia in the afternoon, making use of Hrstrovokian military airfields and domestic airports as well as possible. The first massive deployment into Europe was tricky for CAF, since international airpsace and waters were hard to navigate between so many nations.

The C-130's were the first to land, loaded with security troops and ground personnel including engineers and construction personnel. Locally provided trucks immediately transported them to open land where the rapid construction of temporary Chimaean bases of operation were constructed, beginning with a vast airfield capable of handling the SC-30.

The SC-30 had taken its inspiration from Russia's Antonov AN-225, one of the world's biggest transport aircraft. The plane had a cargo capacity of over 250 tons and was one of the heavy carriers of the Chimaean Air Force. It was a risky enterprise, of course, sionce it made such a large target, but each mission was well escorted by SC-42 AirHawks.

The first SC-30 touched down on the large airfield and seemed to vomit out its contents of troops and tanks. After it was done it took off again and another started its touch-down approach...

Meanwhile, Chimaean fighter aircraft joined Hrstrovokian missions to establish a no-fly zone over Slovenia. Repeated fighter raids were conducted as the forces encountered enemy air units on bombing runs over Slovenia.

In Croatia, the forces steadily increased and gathered for major combat operations...

The Nemesis planes on board the decks of the Redemption and her two escorting characters began to fire up their engines, roaring their anger into the sky.

Minutes later, all 180 planes assigned to this attack had taken off, and were heading towards Bulgaria. Their mission, to hit strategic military command and radar centres, was expected to be a success. Flying low over the terrain, the small, stealthy aircraft would sneak up and deliver a crippling blow to the heart of the enemy.

The ex-Fuhrer and current Representative to the Revolutionized Culture of Witzgall quickly heard of the news in Europe, his former kingdom. General Robert Hur IV, the successor to the great Lieutenant Hur of the "Great Conquest", stepped into the room slowly.

"Come in..." said Viechal to his comrade. The General watched as Viechal tapped his fingers on his oak desk impatiently. "What is it, General?"

"War in Europe has broken out. Our former lands have broken into all out war with Hrstrovokia and Chimaea." replied Hur, trying to be calm and not flipping out at the horrible news.

"General....what is the cause of this conflict? Genocide of the masses? Unrightful enslavement? Bring me these tidings." replied Viechal, still tapping his fingers. He was nervous. His name would undoubtedly be brought up by both sides. Despised by the East, admired by the West... His allies were fighting a war of great pride.

"None of the above, actually. Modern imperialism, a fight for Slovenia." Hur responded, still standing proud at the door.

Viechal sighed. Such news was certainly not well for both sides of the conflict. "Whom is helping my formers?"

"Mostly Asian countries, as well as your former Empire. Other documentations show other nations, but the names slip my mind at the present occupation."

"Very well...announce our neutrality, and get me General Kuglar on the phone." replied Viechal, stopping his horrible habit.

Hur saluted his leader, and left the room with a smirk on his face. Ah, the great Kuglar. Corrupt bastard, but very intelligent. Good at covert operations...afterall, he was the current leader of the Centurion Initiative.

Hur handed the phone to Viechal with a smile. Viechal put out his cigarette, and grabbed the phone from his comrade. Dismissing the General, Viechal greeted Kuglar.

"Hello General. How are things going this evening?" asked Viechal, being sarcastic to a certain extent.

"G'd morning, Sir. I assume you know about the conflict in Europe and Slovenia?" replied Kuglar, sitting in his small and bare-decorated office. Such was the style of most military officials: keep things "standard" and "professional." Even though most officials drank heavily and smoked, and even joked about their jobs...they still were considered professionals.

"Of course. I do keep track of such things." Viechal responded, watching as smoke rose from the ashy grave of his cigarette butt.

"Yes, Sir. I do not doubt you in that matter. But may I ask why we are having this conference?"

"We are having this 'conference' because of such warfare. I have ordered General Hur to declare neutrality, yet I am sure you are aware of such a discord in the council." Viechal said, sitting in his chair.

"But of course." Kuglar replied, shutting the door to his office and muffling the tremendous noise coming from the technical office of the Witzgallian Air Force Base stationed in southern Italy.

"Well, General...I need you to message our allies in Grays Hill, were you currently reside, and ask them if they need your....'sideline advice'." said Viechal, looking at his window. Snow was falling outside of his office, locationed in a secret area off of every single map ever created.

"Will do, Sir. I'll contact an official today and ask what they need."

"Good. Bring me some nice tidings this time, Kuglar. Let's see what happens, shall we? Call me in three days."

Upon hearing that the Hillian Government has entered war, The Golencian Emperor Signed a draft for all men 18-25 approximately 5% of the Nation's Population. Factories are working overtime to get the equipment that will be needed for help in Defending Grays Hill. Another 1,800,000 Troops and 200 Tanks are being Transported by Land to the Mediteranean Sea. In 3 RL Hours a Fleet will be in the are to transport the Troops to Italy.

OOC: I plan to stay neutral until well...until i feel like being otherwise. Over time ill be sending more and more troops to Italy as it is in the Alliance that we are to defend our allie's homeland.

The 2nd Dominance Fleet sped underwater, undetected, from their homebase in Turkey to Romanian borders. The city was one that the Presidente had been mentioning since he was first a council chair, and that was Raptior, the name of a deadly mystical beast and his birthtown.

It was mainly a small town and was located at the secound most northern coastal possition in Romania.

The entire fleet, after bidding their wishes to the Hillian Fleet, left early in the morning before the message of war was even sent.

They ran silently the whole journey to right out of Hrstrovokian Coastal Borders and began to prep the torpedo tubes, arm the aircraft and load them on the elevators, load the missle tubes, and begin deployment and re-stocking of support submarines. Right when it would surface, it would strike. Not at Raptior, but at Camburon, a larger industrial city just to its north near the Ukrainee border.

Onboard the two Diplomat-class SSTPBs a total of 800 troops were being readied. An Amphibious Assualt Division with five Tru'gal-class amphibious command ships was on its way from United Arab Emirates. It was planned to meet up right after the missle and bomber assualt. With them would be a large bombing run in the west from Italian-based Osean Forces to re-direct the enemy's concentraition to the west, directly where the bulk of allies were.

"Surface!" Commanded the Admirelo of the Fleet as they all slowly surfaced.

Austrian-Hungaryian Border

After getting the OK from Hillian representatives, a large-scale carpet bombing run was planned for Hungary in major military and industrial complexes. A total of 80% of the Northern-Based Bombers were tasked with the mission, of which five included the TyH-B1 Diablo.

Kegbirds were armed with smaller 1,200lb bombs, able to hold up to thirty in one module, and the other bombers held their basic Spread-Sheet Tatic armament.

The ground forces had already begun using howitzers and MIRVs to launch Inter-Regional Missles along the Hungaryian borders to give a good quick start.

Czech Border

The ground forces were almost at the border, slowed by an anarchic rogue group's attack, which took three of lives on Osean sides. The road to Slovakia was in sight, and would not be long before flying bullets came their way.

Honai, Viet Nam

The Presidente, with the Osean Council's permission, has inacted a draft of 2% of the nation's population of men and select women (due to equal rights) 16-25. They will be used mainly for defence in Asia as more experianced and signee men and women are transfered to Sicily or Austria.

The 3% Signee-Mark is at 42 million while the 2% additional (making 5% total) Draft-Mark is set an estimated 12 million for the first year but is not final.

I own Austria and I moved my forces in the Czech Republic (I RPed it being Anarchy-filled after the passing of its empire and being attacked by rogue groups are also included in my last IC post). I mainly did this to catch your forces off gaurd on a "neutral" border. Although it is an act of war agenst the Czech people, anarchy can't really form a good military to conquer myown that just quickly ran across it.

I also RPed having naval forces being transported to Turkey (2nd Dominance which will attack Romania) and Sicily (Which will be primarily an air-defence force near Sicily and the eastern direction from Rome and will also fire missles at your coasts to keep you pre-occupied.

The president wrinkled the news in his fist. He wanted to avert war, and all this was his communist neighbors being. They had threatened war before, but wisley, they backed down. This time it was different. He ordered a draft of all 17-40 year olds, which makes up 5% of the population.

In Slovenia, AA guns shot crazily into the sky, making it look like stars in the night. Patriot missiles zoomed through the air, targeting any planes that came into range. Almost all of Slovenia had already been taken, so much of the country was protected with AA guns and Patriot missiles. Air superiority would be quickly lost for the Hrstrovokians. Under constant AA fire, they couldnt last long, without taking out the AA positions. All across Italy 320 F-35 JSFs took off to engage the invading force from the air.

In Italy, fighters were scrambled to intercept the Hrstrovokian planes comming in to bomb. The numerous fighters already in the are (as posted earlier) immeadiatly engadged them, but extra fighters were sent up to aid them.

As part of Operation Fox Trot, a massive air stike was ordered in the east. The first wave would be 34 B-2s escorted by 50 steal F-35s. Their targets were any ground planes, then radar facilities, and AA positions inside of Bulgaria. With airstikes in the area already preformed by Intelligent Neighbors, some targets should already be nuetralized. The second wave of bombers consisted of 45 B-52s to carpet bomb southern Bulgaria to pave way for an invasion. The B-52s were escorted by 26 F-16s and 24 F-35s.

As the massive air strike was commencing, on the ground 15,000 tanks ( 5,000 M1A2s, 5,000 Challenger 2s, and 5,000 Leopards) surged across the border of Bulgaria and Turkey. They were accompanied by 750,000 men. 45 AH-64 Apaches were dispatched into the region to supply anti-tank fire. 60 Mi-35 Hinds were also dispatched to deliver anti-tank fire, and to fire upon any troops not on the side of the Allies.

Back again in Slovenia, with the air war going on, an extra 100,000 men were not sent into Slovenia in an effort to help defeat the invading Hrstrovokians. Also 2,000 M1A2s went ahead of the rest and quickly engaged the Hrstrovokians.

In the oceans, the fleets positioned a mile from Hrstrovokian waters (as posted before) drove into the Hrstrovokian waters, launching missiles at the Hrstrovokian ships now leaving port. Submarines went ahead to get stike the Hrstrovokian ships too. Scuds were launched simultaneously at an alarming rate from Italy, crossing the Adriatic sea, and bombarding the coast of Croatia. Tomahawk cruise missiles were also launched, aimed at airstrips and air fields in Croatia, Bosnia-Herezgovina, and Serbia.

As in the Adriatic, ships in the Black sea were now in Hrstrovokian waters shooting ships at will. And, as in the Adriatic, subs were scouting the waters looking for any ship for them to fire on. In Italy and Turkey JH-7s [Jianhong Fighter-Bomber] took off to aid in the destruction of the maritime threat.

Europe had erupted into war, and in just a few presious moments, which seemed to take hours, the World was at War for a third time.

Secret IC to Witzgall: "We are thankful for your support. It was a good thing you still have base on Earth III, incase of a situation like this. Any support you are able to offer will be gladly accepted. We also come to you wil a proposal. We ask you to take care of the Hstrovokian high command, if you know what I mean" President al-Sahaf said in a letter to Witzgall.

Off The Coast of Romania

A lone T-4 Raptior-class SSD glided underwater at 4 knots, listenning carefully.

They were sent ahead to scout for any miners who might have unloaded, and knowing that the Hrstrovokians had Los Angeles-classes, it would not be hard to find them.

A Petty Sonar Chief made an arm motion to the others and, with hsi fingers, gave coordinates. They all turnned there silently with the Bridge Capiton watching carefully and very cautious.

They all made hand signals to eachother, keeping the silence, and the Lead Sonar Officer turnned to the Brg. Cap. and said in a voiceless sentance of lip movement "A Los Angeles to our 2 o'clock, barrings 156, making a lot of noise by dropping things into open, mines."

The Brg. Cap. nodded. The Los Angeles-class was extremely noisey when dropping mines and launching/loading them, along with toirpedoes. It seemed to be alone, and having all eight torpedo tubes armed with long-range Yk50 Capitalist torpedoes and all VLS tubes armed with Sunspot Anti-Shipping Missles, the Raptior sped to 9 knots, still well under the 11 knot Silence Limit.

It same within range of the Yk50 Torpedoes and the Capiton made a gester with his fingers, flying them from his mouth. A Sonar Ping. He than made a motion of punching twice, firring two torpedoes.

A Sonar Ping as ordered through digital line, quietly of cource, and was ready to ping. The torpedoes were ready to fire and only four were flooded, of which two of them would be used. His last orders before the ping was a small tap on his shoulder after punching the air. Keep the lines attached.

Space, over Europe
The active parts of the Chimaean defence grid [OOC: in non-Earth III this would be the Baron Defence Grid] not over Commonwealth territories had been moved over Hrstrovokian territory for major combat operations. The satellites began deep scanning and mapping of the land below, in particular Slovenia and the nations surrounding it. After the first few scans they set up communication with Hrstrovokian military structures and Chimaean military units on the ground.

The defence grid detected multiple heavy launches of attack craft and enemy activity, though since there was a lot of normal activity in the surrounding lands it had trouble differentiating from active threats and normal activity. It tagged the findings and transmitted them to the various recievers below.

Croatia-Slovenia Border

The rapid deployment had largely been a success. The larger armoured columns were slow in being deployed, naturally, but the Hrstrovokian Naval ports had opened and accomodated First Fleet supply and logistics craft which had made things a lot easier.

Major General Stephanie Armondale snapped shut the folder and handed it back to an aide, who scurried away with it. In this section of the border alone, there were around 80, 000 troops ready to deploy quickly. Four Division of 20, 000 soldiers each, as was the standard en masse deployment to quarter the ground--one Division to establish a stronghold in each quarter and maintain a defence, the others to be mobile and attack as hard and fast as possible. It was a time-tested strategy and there were already four sections ready. It was difficult, though, to oversee the entire 320, 000-strong force, plus see to the armour and air forces. Once more she was glad there were several officers under her command.

She was glad that she only had to liase with HAF, too, and not plan the overall strategy. That must be a major headache for CAFHC in New Sydney. Smiling to herself, she spread out a map of the local area on the side of a tank and gestured to Brigadier McCoy, who was blasting a private for something or other, as was his wont. McCoy finished his dressing down and joined her at the tank.

"So when do we move, sir?" he growled. "The lads are getting restless."

Armondale smiled. "Get them ready now, Brigadier. We're moving out around 17:00 hours." she indicated the map. "Usual quarter and defend business. We make insertion into Slovenia territory today, grab as much as we can, then defend and press on. We have heavy artillery readied for coordinates so get your spotters on muster. Air strikes are going to continue all night and day. We expect the same from the enemy... We have about five hundred planes in the air right now and we're going to increase that by the time the majority of the carriers are in position. AirHawks will provide main airwatch, AWACS will be operational and the Defence Grid is in position and operating. Did you check on the chopper fleets?"

"Yes sir. We have quite a few of the newer stealth recon choppers available as well as the old ones, I'm keen to see what they're capable of. Gunships and the transports will provide the main firepower. We have C-130's ready to provide prolonged heavy strike capabilities if we need them."

"Good... good. This is going to be quite a battle..."

"Hmm..." mused Mikial, leaning back in a large red leather chair, pausing, much to the annoyment of High General Shimonishi, "I see what you mean, our alliance does require action, but jumping in now may yield loss instead of profit."

"True Milord, but does not honor dictate we follow through with our alliances?" asked Shimonishi.

"Of course, my good General, but we cannot let honor and duty come before profit. First I belive we should realize our right to trade with all beligerents, but of course, more with our allies."

Despite commitments to certain parties, we must at this time declare neutrality. Since we are staying out we are willing to trade nessecities of life to ease the burdens of a war time economy. We ask to do this for all beligerents, as we are a neutral party.

We are willing to send (at reduced prices) munitions and fuel for your war machine. Furthermore, we will send as many troops that are willing to volenteer w/o Corporate support (for the war they are under your command).

"Like America in WW2 Milord, you profess neutrallity officially but we truely are supporting our allies."

OOC: I think we should start a new thread for this, one that has GH posting everyone's current places and such, like sending him it via TG or something. Also, I think giving all the military forces to one guy is a little wack, being expecially all this. What I think is get all non-European nations to either tell their men to follow their ally's orders or leave. Same on both sides (with exception ot Chemea, being your only ally). That will narrow this down to just 4 (Myself, Golencia, GH, and Praetonia) and on Hrst.'s side two (Chem and himself).

Also, you don't expect to go to war for anti-imperialism and being imperialist yourself would not attract attention. You picked a good time to pick on GH, being that he has a lot of allies that would help him even if he was Nazi and killing his own people.

I think we should also lock this at a particular number of people per side, and stop the use of WMDs and WTDs for future referance to keep this clean. nukes and tungsten rods can get out of hands easily with our sizes.

UHAF forces have begun to withdraw from Slovakia, Moldova & the Ukraine in preparation for the defense of Hungary & Bulgaria, manning the Oprenokov Line and the buildup for an invasion of Slovenia, Austria & Italy. As they retreated, UHAF Engineers destroyed roads, bridges, railway lines, airstrips & airports and other vital installations in the event that these states should fall under the control of the enemy.

BattleGroups launched offensives from operating bases in Croatia. BattleGroup Maribor struck from Varazdin, Ljubljana from Zagreb & Trieste from Rijeka.

Air Events -

B-52Gs & B-2s of SAK [Strategic Air Kommand] accompanied by F-16C strike fighters are preparing to hit targets in Italy, Austria & Slovenia. Udine, Treviso, Venice and Trento in Italy have been selected for intense bombardment.

In Austria, Graz, Klagenfurt, Villach, Vienna & Aspang-Markt will be targeted. In Slovenia, Maribor, Ljubljana & Trieste will be struck. The objective is to reduce the Italian & Austrian cities to rubble, but leave the Slovenian urban centres somewhat intact. The bombers will be using 22,000lb, 2,000lb & 500lb incendiary and cluster bombs aswell as AGM-28Bs and AGM-129 cruise missiles.

F-16Cs will target radar and command facilities, railheads, bridges, and the Brenner pass and other tunnels which run through the Austrian alps.

Intelligent Neighbours attack from the air over Bulgaria was bold, but failed to knock out the radar, communications & command facilities in the region. They remained in operation and alerted ASAD units to the arrival of INs aircraft in SSRH airspace. Around 1,200 troops & 4,500 civilians were killed, and 20 buildings destroyed, with a further 40 badly damaged but not beyond repair.

Nike-Hercules & Hawk SAMs retaliated with a lethal salvo of missiles towards the sky, while 80mm AA guns fired with clinical accuracy on the enemy aircraft. F-15Es & F-16Cs were launched in a bid to wipe out the remaining aircraft not destroyed by SAM and AAA fire.

[OOC: Yes, I know there was more than one attack, I will get around to addressing all of them, but it's 7 in the morning right now. It'll take a little time to respond to everybodies actions, since I'm trying to figure out how many people are at war, where they are and what they are doing. I would prefer if the war wasnt an entire uber-number posting event, and that we could get down to some serious rp'ing, but I'm content to do this either way.

UHAF forces were already aware of the presence of the Truittish vessels in the Black Sea thanks to the underwater screen of listening devices such as Hydrophones, installed to give the SSRH advanced warning of potential attack from this sector. How the Truittish vessels had managed to stay clear of the minefields was anyones guess. However, they would not remain active for much longer.

SH-60s stationed on the coast immediately flew ASW missions over the suspected locations once the alert had been raised, dipping their sonar weapons into the cold, churning waters. This yielded more information on the size and location of the enemy vessels. UUM-44As were launched from the coast to destroy the submarines, while elements of the Black Sea Fleet scrambled to action. Ohio Class Submarines & Oliver Hazard Perry Frigates moved into the area en masse.

A cold grave awaited the Truittish.

The TyH-B1 bombers managed to pierce the vast array of ASAD F-15Es, but Nike-Hercules & Hawk SAMs soon plunged the incoming aircraft into a very dangerous situation. Ground-based 80mm AAA guns fired rapidly into the skies over Hungary, but despite the 1,000 or so aircraft in the air and 4,000 or so SAMs [both mobile & fixed] the bombers managed to knock out several industrial installations, incurring a large loss of life - 1,240 civilians dead.

The Hrstrovokian response to the Truittish use of IRBMs was rage. Such use of these weapons clearly indicated that this was a total war the SSRH was fighting, and she would have to fight fire with fire. Orders were given to bombard the Austrian & Italian states with Minuteman IIIs, Trident C4s and Pershing IIs fitted with HE warheads. Thousands were fired. No mercy would be shown to the facist invader.

The Grays Hillian invasion of Bulgaria had been expected, and Hrstrovokian forces were more than prepared as they launched the biggest offensive of the war, a massive counter-attack of some 4,000,000 troops, 20,000 Merkava Mk 4s. The decision to begin conscription of all 15-45 year old males & females would enlarge the UHAF from 80,000,000 troops to 125,000,000 troops. Thus, such large-scale attacks were possible. The Hillian invasion soon became bogged down as it encountered stiff resistance from the Oprenokov Line, the 200mm cannons bringing heavy fire onto the armoured columns.

3,200 B-52Gs & B-2 bombers began the air offensive, launching from airbases in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia & Macedonia. Their mission was to destroy the industrial, transportation & manufacturing centers in Italy, Austria & Slovenia.

The target list was indeed impressive. Oil & Gas pipelines and terminals, Oil Refineries, Power stations, Roads, Railway stations & rail-lines, Ports, Airports, airstrips & airbases were to be smashed.

Aircraft & Tank manufacturing plants had been earmarked for destruction by SR-71s. Mines, shipbuilding centers, chemical, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, metal working, textiles & food processing plants in the major industrial cities of Trieste, Milan, Turin, Genoa, Bologna, Florence, Maribor, Ljubljana, Linz, Vienna & Graz were also prime targets.

The bombers would be using 22,000lb, 2,000lb & 500lb incendiary and cluster bombs as well as AGM-28Bs and AGM-129 cruise missiles as already mentioned.

The bombers would not enter the hostile skies alone. 2,000 F-16Cs & F-15Es would provide ample cover against enemy aircraft. The massive air divisions flying over Italy, Slovenia & Austria would have to be co-ordinated by E-8s & E-3s.

By the end of the day, huge tracts of land across Europe would be engulfed in flames and thousands of innocent people would be dead. It wasn’t something that the crews aboard the aircraft mentioned to each other, but it was on their hearts & minds, Such loss of life was crazy, but the Soviet Socialist Republic of Hrstrovokia was fighting a war of national survival, and it would do whatever it took to ensure that it would not go quietly into the night.

The Hrstrovokian armoured thrust continued unabated, with over 7,000 Merkava Mk 4s & Leopard 2A6s in the field. The Land-Air battle doctrine, of which Marshall of the Republic Gussev was so well rehearsed in, would reach it’s zenith as the UHAF tactics of swarming, encircling and obliterating enemy positions would be put into practice.

They surged across the Sava River in Slovenia, with messages scribbled on their turrets like “Rome or bust!” National morale was high though expectations of a short and victorious war were out of the question. Everybody knew that this war would last for years, perhaps decades. General Secretary Alexander Miroslav would never surrender to the imperialists, he would never abandon the ideals of Europe’s only Socialist state, never betray his promise to the Slovenian people, no matter how many enemies stood against it.

A-10As soared above the tanks, searching eagerly for enemy tanks to wipe out with their seven-barrel 30mm rotary cannons. They could unleash 4,200 rounds in just 0.55 seconds, enough to mangle any tank and deadly enough to be used against enemy aircraft in dogfights. There were some 1,280 A-10As committed to operations in Slovenia, Austria & Italy; they were a valuable asset against the massive armoured forces, which the Empire of Grays Hill had mustered.

The anti-tank forces, which the UHAF could call on, were tremendous. 8,100 AH-64Ds were in operation, stalking the valleys and plains of Slovenia for anything that happened to be unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The greatest tank battle ever fought in the history of mankind would take place in Central Europe, and Hrstrovokia was prepared.

The objective behind the massive forces deployed to Slovenia, Italy & Austria was simple – cripple the advancing forces, then withdraw completely. The idea of fighting a protracted battle across Europe was madness, since the logistical supply lines simply couldn’t cope. Operations could only be mounted in Central Europe & Southeast Europe.

In Bulgaria, 4,000,000 soldiers were waiting for the attack, accompanied by some 20,000 tanks. They would strike headlong at Edirne & Istanbul, taking the enemy forces by surprise. Their objective would be to prevent enemy forces staging in Thrace, the portion of Turkey, which lay in Europe. Once control of this strategic area was assured, UHAF naval units could pass unmolested through the Bosporus, into the Sea of Marmara, through the Aegean and finally the Mediterranean.

OOC: WTF! This is uber godmodding! Hrstrovokia, you are basically saying that our attacks are doing nothing, like waves washing up on the sand! I have already posted that I have hundreds of fighters constantly in the air BEFORE the war started. And you couldnt have deployed hardly any mines. My ships were firing upon yours before they had begun deploying mines. And saying that not even ONE radar facility was at least damaged from the extent of Intelligent Neighbors bombing is also a Godmod. But I can understand your forces being prepared for mine invading, but not killing them all off. But what ever, I will accept it for now.

OOC: I'm confused. What are we RPing in this thread, and what're we RPing in the WW3 one? As for how I got there, we'd be more likely to launch the bulk of my forces from Somalia than Canada. Population does matter--if you have a 8 million nation I can't see you winning against one that can swamp your nation end to end, whatever your RPing abilities. RPing skill is one thing, but the numbers being shot out in this war are ludicrous, and I don't see why I shouldn't join in with the numberwanking.

OOC: My annexation of Slovenia will commence. After a long, tense, and anxious cease fire, a treaty is being signed, which gives Grays Hill the right to take slovenia.

With the removal of Hrstrovokian troops in the process, masses of Grays Hillian troops were deployed to occupied Slovenia, and were prepared to launch on massive final offensive that would ultimately, bring all of Slovenia into the hands of the Great Empire of Grays Hill.

The wait for Slovenia was obnoxious to President al-Sahaf. Now the wait was over. Once the Hrstrovokians left, it was his for the taking. He was fed up with the stiff resistance, so he ordered an extra 1 million men to occupied Slovenia, who were all prepared to strike upon the command. This would bring the total of Grays Hillian troops in Slovenia to nearly 4 Million, making it one of the heaviest war zones on Earth III.

President on Al-Sahaf grinned greedily. The Hrstrovokians had now pulled out of Slovenia, and it was theirs for the taking. He ordered the massive invasion to begin, of what was not already captured. 1 Million troops poured across the occupational border into the tiny nation of Slovenia. They were accompanied by 16,000 M1A2 Abrams. Al-Sahaf knew that this was way more than enough to subdue the feeble Slovenian military, but he was taking no chances. Nonetheless, Slovenia would be his.

260,000 soldiers of the remaining 275,000 troops in the Slovenian Military had fortified the capital, barricading themselves inside. President Drnovsek had been killed and Prime Minister Janez Jansa was in command now.
The troops, mostly footsoldiers, and formed a defensive circle around the city, taking strategic positions. Stationary machine guns had been placed at all major entrances into the capital city, and the capitol building in the center of Ljubljana had been fortified with 10-foot high concrete walls, barbed wire, and trenches. Trenches had been dug around the perimeter of the entire city as well.
All of the city's police were in the capitol building, while soldiers patrolled the streets and walls.

Maribor
15,000 Slovenian soldiers had begun to fortify the city of Maribor incase Ljubljana fell and they Slovenian forces had to retreat. They had already begun digging trenches and setting barbed wire.

The Federal Socialist Republic of Hrstrovokia is horrified by the escalating bloodshed in Slovenia. The Treaty of Beograd was implemented to bring an end to fighting in the Balkans. I implore Grays Hill to cease its offensive against Ljublana. There are more than 1,000,000 Slovene refugees in Hrstrovokia right now, all escaping the conflict. Most of their country is in ruins, thousands dead. There wont be anything left to conquer pretty soon. End the war now. Please.

"They outnumber us nearly 5 to 1," said the minister of war.
"I know," said Prime Minister Jansa. "But we shall not just lie down and let them take us. We will fight, and we will most likely die. But we shall not submit to their rule."
The 260,000 soldiers of the Slovenian army, and the civilians within Ljuljana, prepared to remain in their capital fortress and make a stand against Grays Hill. The Prime Minister had decided to use the civilians to their advantage, having many placed near military structures and arming them with everything from bats and rocks to spare guns and grenades.

Slovenian/Hrstrovokian Border
With the statement of Slovenian defiance against Grays Hill, more civilians rushed across the border into neighboring Hrstrovokia. Within hours, nearly 40,000 more had stormed Hrstrovokian borders, fleeing from the ever advancing and powerful forces of Grays Hill.

10 Checkpoints on the border between the Federal Socialist Republic and the belleagured state of Slovenia were completely over-run today with refugees seeking to escape the brutal war which has ravaged their nation. Ministry of the Interior Frontier Troops lost order when the immense crowds panicked when a rumour was spread in their midst, many saying the Grays Hill Army of Occupation was just a few miles behind and would soon capture everyone trying to flee. Terrified by such a fate, the desperate Slovenes stormed the barricades. FSR Troops attempted to fend off the mob with live fire after several warnings to disperse, but communications were lost and they are presumed dead. The border outposts in some areas have reported repeated intrusions into Hrstrovokian territory by deserters of the Slovene Army, still carrying their weapons. They were promptly siezed and arrested. The Military District of Croatia has been placed under Martial Law as thousands of FSR troops speed to the troublespot in an attempt to stem the chaos. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare believes that there will be a major problems feeding, clothing and housing more than 1,400,000 refugees, as it is simply beyond our capacity to help right now, and the Government is expected to request Humanitarian aid from the World in a bid to solve the crisis.

Slovenian ex-nationals gathered in Beograd to protest over the continued conflict in their homeland, around half a million gathered outside Government offices and called for the "complete severing of relations with Grays Hils". Rumours are rife among the Slovenian population living in exile here that a National Liberation Army will be formed, with Hrstrovokian assistance, to fight back the imperialists, but we would like to make it clear that we do not support terrorists.

In scenes reminiscient of the Chimaean-Clock Hill war, tens of thousands of Slovenian refugees stormed Hrstrovokian border posts yesterday as Grays Hill forces clamped down on the vestiges of Slovenian resistance in Ljublana. Reports are few and far between at this stage but the stories of the City under siege are brutal and blood-curdling.

This morning, Lady Bryce condemned the situation in Slovenia and lay the blame directly on Grays Hill for not moving swiftly to end the conflict and restore security. In an emergency decree, she authorised the Chimaean Armed Forces to aid Hrstrovokian forces in dealing with the sheer number of refugees that have swarmed into Croatia. Chimaean navy transports and hospital ships in the CSS Waelcyrge, the newly established Chimaean Naval Base off Croatia, are being readied to transport thousands of refugees to Canada, Somalia and other Commonwealth nations for the time being.

There have been protests around the Commonwealth, intensified by the publication of a special report on the situation in Slovenia by controversial journalist Jonathan Slater, in the New Sydney Times. There have been numerous calls in Parliament and from lobby groups to put increased pressure on Grays Hill to back down from serious conflict with the resistance and find alternative means of bringing about peace and security in the region.

The Hrstrovokian Defense Forces have been stood on a heightened state of alert and Chief of Defense Staff General Gussev has confirmed that the 1st Adriatic Fleet is to participate in a blockade of AfrikaZKorps ships attempting to return home and partake in the devastating war-machine aimed at the destruction of Communist Brazil.

With the permission of the Euroslavian Government, the straits of Gibraltar have been closed down to military units of the AfrikaZKorps, who are reportedly vexed and threathen to attack the Hrstrovokian cordon. Prime Minister Alexander Miroslav declared that "the Federal Socialist Republic will do whatever it must to stop the rape of South America." Already 1/6 of the Amazon rain forest has been burned to the ground as the murdering AfrikaZKorps troops attempt to move through the thick jungles.

The blockade has renewed tensions between Hrstrovokia and Grays Hill, which is an ally of AfrikaZKorps. The possibility of fighting between the two nations seems likely if the stand-off is not cooled quickly. Students have taken to the streets of every major city in the Federal Socialist Republic demanding President Al-Sharaf of Grays Hill withdraw his occupation forces from Slovenia. Workers joined alongside their comrades in solidarity and went on strike, the transportation system was badly affected before Union leaders and Government officials rectified the situation. There is a growing tide of resentment against Grays Hill amongst the population for its heavy handed tactics in Slovenia, which despite such an onslaught, still stands, alone. The short-lived but nonetheless bloody war between Hrstrovokia and Grays Hill serves as a potent reminder of the grief, suffering and death too many Hrstrovokians have experienced, who know exactly what the Slovenes are going through.

It is reported that President Steinberg has requested a meeting of the Pact of North American States to coordinate strategy in the apparently widening conflict in South America and Europe. This is apparently under pressure on the majority Libertarians from the newly formed Popular Social Alliance. The Alliance is also calling for expansion of our holdings in Africa and the Atlantic.

Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports of West Cedarbrook Naval formations in the vicinity of Asencion Island, and Sao Tome and Principe, and the assignment of reinforcements to the Gabonese border with Equatorial Guniea.

The Ministry of Defense confirmed last night the unsettling news that an Armoury of the Guardians of the Proletariat had been attacked last night in rural Croatia. The assailants are unknow at this time. Twelve FSR Soldiers died during the exchange of fire, which lasted twenty minutes, and a further five were wounded. The attackers managed to haul off more than 1,500 AK-47 rifles; 500 RPG-7s; 2,000 lbs of C4 and over 5,000 lbs of 7.62mm ammunition and RPG warheads before reinforcements arrived on the scene. Fourteen bodies were found later that night around the complex, reportedly those of the attackers. They have been taken away by the Bureau of Intelligence & State Security for examination. Security around all MoD installations has been upgraded.

Although at this time nothing can be confirmed, every suspicion points towards the Slovenian diaspora in Hrstrovokia. Prime Minister Alexander Miroslav was outraged by the incident, stating that "the Slovenian conflict has once again breached borders. I fear we can no longer stand idly by, we must resolve this terrible war before we are once again sucked into it." Prime Minister Miroslav also slammed the Federal Socialist Republic Defense Forces for their inability to prevent the seizure of weaponry, which could possibly find its way into the hands of Slovenians. Whether they will be used against Grays Hill or Hrstrovokia is another story, one which we do not contemplate with joy. There is much fear in Hrstrovokia as the war spirals out of control.

Slovenia

Indeed, the Slovenian refugees had been the assailants. A large group, calling themselves the Slovenian Freedom Corp, had decided to arm themselves after passing into neighboring Hrstrovokia. Now, they planned on returning to their home country and launching a guerrila-tactic war on the Hillian forces advancing on their capital city.
They did not seem to care if any of the Hrstrovokians were hurt; no one would get in their way.

Meanwhile, at the capital, the forces continued to prepare themselves from the impending seige.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dublin released a report today saying that it shall remain completely neutral in the conflict in eastern Europe. Tourists and military in the area have all been called out to avoid trouble.
Meanwhile, the Emperor announced today saying that an entire fleet shall be placed around Haiti to defend Risbanian settlers and interests in the area...

Kramden of West Cedarbrook

The Kramden of West Cedarbrook offers assylum to those Slovenians fleeing their country in the late invasion. This includes our territory in North America, Bermuda, and Gabon.

The Armed Forces of West Cedarbrook have established themselves on the Atlantic Islands of Asencion, Sao Tome and Principe. All military objectives, ports and airports have been occupied without resistance. We have annexed these territories to protect our Atlantic shipping and prevent the spread of the recent European and South American conflicts. These territories and their waters will be protected and patrolled by the West Cedarbrook Navy. Administration of the territories will be performed by the Viceroy in Libreville, Gabon.

The destroyer WCS Quentin McHale identified and warned submarine 15 nautical miles SSE of Asencion Island. The submarine move out of the area of manuvers after warning.

The Kramden is similarly assuming control of Equatorial Guniea. The 32nd Mechanized Infantry Division has landed near Malabo and is entering the city. All residents have been advised to remain indoors until the all-clear signal. Diplomatic protocol for foreign embassies will be followed. Casualties have been reported as light and there has been no organized resistance inside the city. On mainland Equatorial Guniea the 42nd Infantry Division has advanced rapidly across the Gabonese frontier and is 19 miles southeast of Bata. There have been a few ambushes but supply lines are open and our troops are moving with deliberate speed.

Naval forces of all belligerent nations are advised to be aware of West Cedarbrook Naval activity including submarine movement and reconnisance in the Bight of Biafra and the Gulf of Guniea extending to 10 degrees South and 20 degrees West.

The attack on the Armoury of the Guardians of the Proletariat bears all the hallmarks of a highly sophisticated, well-trained and determined group. They can only be ex-Slovene Army troops. We suspect the raid is part of an ongoing campaign to acquire weapons to utilize against the occupation forces of Grays Hill in a Guerilla War. What is particularly alarming is that members of the Guardians of the Proletariat [OOC: Hrstrovokia's militia - they are allowed to bear weapons and keep them at home] are suspected of having assisted, what is now referred to as the Slovenian Freeom Korps, in training and even handing over their own weapons. It is most prudent that the World does not learn of this, it could create a most embarrassing situation and place our gains in the Ukraine & Moldova in jeopardy.

Many Hrstrovokians Sympathize with the Slovenians and have kept them hidden from our Police Patrols. They have given them every kind of assistance, from food to clothes and more. The extent of this collaboration with the Slovenians is shocking, and is best kept secret from the West. It is even reported that certain Officers of the FSR Defense Forces are working with the Slovenians in a covert operation to drive the occupation forces of Grays Hill from Slovenia.

With that, the president ordered the sieg of the capital. He also ordered a statement to Hrstrovokia, explaining to them that the Republic couldn't be set up until all of Slovenia was captured, because after all, we cant make something out of something that isnt ours.

Apaches and A-10s pounded military targets with stunning accuracy. Sattalite guided bombs and persision bombs were used to inflict as little civilian casualties as possible. After an hour of bombardment, the ground forces moved in. They would fight as far into the city as possible. Then go on the defensive while anothe hour long arial bombardment would continue. This pattern continued for many hours, until the Grays Hillian forces had nearly captured the city. The 260,000 Slovenian soldiers were no match for the 900,000 Grays Hillian soldiers and the 15,000 tanks. This was the single largest assualt on one city in the history of Grays Hill.

The Slovenians were holding their ground fairly well. 3 Hours into the battle, a total of 2,500 Soldiers had died with another 5,000 wounded. But most of the city was within their grasp. The strategic planning that went into capturing the city was great, and the payoff was rewarding. It was only a matter of time now, until all of the capital had fallen.
