Official Imperial Statement to the Coalition and Muru
The Empire of Risban suggests the following:
1. Reparations for the Risban Worker Strike.
2. Reparations for every nation infected by the influenza virus.
3. Reparations for the attacks on Alexias' fleet.
4. Slight compensations for every nation that deployed military forces.
5. The complete and utter dissolution of any and all WMD programs within Muru.
6. The shrinking of Muru's military to 30% of its size.
7. Occupation by no less that five nations, who will possess military bases within Muru and guard units to ensure that the nation of Muru does not act out in war again.
8. A signed, 100-year Non-Agression Pact with all nations involved that, should Muru break, will result in its destruction.
9. Muruian submittance to annual inspections by a team from all nations in the Coalition.

Those are, as of this moment, the offical terms set by Risban. They are curretnly in-question however, both due to debate from other coalition members and the fact that Muru dosn't have a government to sign them.

Awww, c’mon, don’t have him die! He’s too cool to die! Have him…..no die or something.

IC:

“Speed up the deployment.” Said the emperor, upon hearing the news.

(In Alexian held Muru)

Ahmed’s hummer rolled quickly through the city street, speeding past the concrete tenements and apartments.

“Looks a lot like home.” He thought.

Children threw rocks at the car as it passed, but they simply bounced off the armor, although it was more symbolic than anything else. And he did not have time to deal with disgruntled kids. They had places to be.

Ahmed manned the large machine gun that was on top of the hummer. Seeing as he had to stand through the roof, it left him very exposed, more so than his friends inside, behind the armor. But he did have on a heavy protective suit. It was a thick and bulky thing, but Ahmed thought it better to wear it than get killed with one well placed or lucky bullet.

“It is awfully hot, though.” He thought.

Finally they reached there destination.

The hummer skidded violently just outside the parking lot of an apartment building.(although there were not many cars.)

Other soldiers had taken cover around corners, and behind pieces of trash, and other such things.

A ragtag band of militiamen had taken over the apartment, and where firing at the soldiers from out of the windows. However, they did not have enough men to cover the entire apartment, and they had to run from one end to the other to fight the soldiers. The lack of co-ordination was probably due to there lack of walkey talkies. A rather simple operation, but already they had injured a dozen soldiers, and killed three. They also had the injured soldiers pinned down, and so medical personel could not reach them.

Ahmed sprung into action. This part was all up to him. Glancing quickly at the side of the apartment, he opened fire on the windows, spraying several apartments with bullets over and over. He heard a scream. A man popped out the window and fired back at him, but quick retreated back into the room.

Ahmed shouted, telling the group of soldiers hiding in a small former government shop, about half a block away, telling them he had the part covered. The young soldiers moved quickly, running into the lobby of the apartment, and presumably up the stairs.

The man fired at Ahmed again, but the bullet missed and glanced of the armor of the hummer, leaving a small mark in the black frame. Ahmed fired back, and again the man retreated back into back into the apartment away from the window.

He heard gunshots that were not his own from inside the building, and then screams and shouts. He saw two young soldiers, both bleeding heavily, heave the bullet riddled corpse of the militiaman out the window, and then yell “Medic, medic! Man down!”

Ahmed’s gut wrenched. What a disgusting display of violence. They had not needed to throw the corpse out the window!

He frowned sadly. Most of the soldiers here were young, violent and overzealous ones like those in the building.

“If these young soldiers keep it up like this” he thought “The locals will tear us to shreds.”

(Just to show the fighting, you know?

This is in Southern, Alexian Controlled Muru, by the way.)

The People of Alexia, despite Risban's objections, stand strong in there decision to keep the specified territories under our control.

However, we still support the Risban proposed treaty and are very willing to contribute militarily to the occupation of non-Alexian Muru.

Being a large military player in this conflict, and seeing as we pledged support from the start, we suggest that we be put in charge of control a zone, so as to take the pressure of the troops and budgets of smaller nations.

As for Southern Muru, we still retain control and will continue to occupy it. However, members of the coalition are free to pass through it to transport troops, and for other tactical and pragmatic purposes. Our ports and landing points will likely be very usefull.

We would appreciate any assistance in bring Southern Muru under control, although we could only accept said existence in the form of money, arms, equipement, supplies, relief teams for Muru's people(medical and such) and reconstruction crews, due to tactical purposes.

<<Southern Muru. Old Abandoned Community Center>>

It's a pity these disposable's have a shelf-life. Ex-corporal Hendrix thought as he hefted up the AV/AT rocket launcher.

His unit, a supply train, had allready done away with most of their ammo, smuggled into dozens of small cashes or abandoned buildings. But they had kept a few, just as many as they would need for this operation.

As the Alexian tank and Hum-vee convoy pulled around the corner, the remote-detonated bomb went off, activating 6 blocks of cordex that blasted some of the tanks flaming remains up to 15ft into the air.

Instantly, the AV/AT rocket launcher fired, the first Hum-Vee to pull around the corner went up in a truely magnificent fireball. The other Hum-Vee's quickly came under light-machinegun and small-arms fire. As the survivors of the ambush got into a defensive set up, Hendrix threw one last grenade and then motioned for his men to fall back. The humm-vee's would not proceed, they would reconstruct the ambush later instead of fighting them now.

All over Muru, this same scene was being repeated with Millita, other ex-millitary personel, and even the remains of a few divisions. Muru would be occupied, but the occupiers would pay for every block they took.

The Alexian Forces in Muru are now giving a one month amnesty to all those violating the law that we have declared regarding weaponry.

All illegal weapons(ANY guns, bombs, explosives, ammo, whatnot) may be turned in without retribution during this time. However, any caught with them will still be persecuted.

Also, we have begun a campaign to seek out and destroy all organized guerrilla resistance groups, using ariel survalance to locat camps.

We are targeting mainly groups of ex-soldiers still fighting Alexian Forces, aswell as rural militia's.

We have also accelerated deployment, and our continuing our campaign to bring South Muru under control.

Also, we have been attacking such groups in non-Alexian Muru aswell, as they will surely cause problems for all forces of the coalition.

(Because, of course, the coalition hasn't yet occupied all of Muru. Maybe a few coastal cities, but central Muru is probably largely under the control of warlords consisting of ex-generals and there boys, and militias and gangs, many of whom would likely be loyal to the Muruvian goverment.

Also, remember, the goverment dissolved, so, that would only escalate....well, that.)

Low intensity fighting continues in Southern Muru.

(In truth, it is rather fierce.)

Meanwhile......Base Camp Entwhstle, Xenizen Armed Forces in Muru (XAFM) HQ, Southern Muru-

The situation was not looking good. All over the interior of Muru, a mass insurgency had arisen, and the insurgents did not spare Xenizen troops already in country.

General Tsing Shi Dao was dismayed at the reports. Rocket attacks on the various small forts and blockhouses set up so far in Muru, IED's, run-and-gun attacks, everything was going to hell in a handbasket, and the Government was holding him accountable for the some 32,000 Xenizen Combat Ready soldiers and the larger 220,000 Committee of Vigilance soldiers, (mainly the Tanthanian and Xenizen Brigades plus the Special Arbiter Units) in the area, not counting crews and supply techs, that would be coming.

His 70,000 Combined Operations Forces already in country, having landed previously using Wasp class landers, were like King Canute holding back the sea, and everyday, things seemed to get worse....

Muru as the Xenizens were at, a stretch of the Central-East Coast stretching six to eight miles into the center, was like the Wild West, or Manchuria during the Great Civil War, roving bands of gunmen, not even guerillas, were firing at the regular soldiers as they went about their daily activties, ambushing incoming supply convoys, as armored as they were, and raising Cain, raiding forts like the stereotypical Indian.

He then issued a Proclamation to the people of his part of Muru, getting his men to tack it on the sides of buildings, play it on the radio, and broadcast it on the few stations they had:

"People of Muru, we come not to enslave you, but rather, to set up a unified democracy that will guarantee your rights. If you will let us help you, we will not hurt or harm you. Return your weapons to us, and stand down. We will give you one month, as well."

He then sent a letter to the Alexians:

"General Al-Fadil, we request permission to send forces into Alexian Muru, we believe they are using the area to base troops and supples for attacks on us."
Alexias

Muru, again, I tell you, do not naturally assume something happens to me or anyone. Tell me what you do, and I will play out the response. Sound fair?

But anyhow.

Richard saw the huge explosion from the window, as a tank went up in flames a few cars ahead.

"Jesus!" he thought. Before he could do anything, a gernade landed beside his hummer, exploding and sending him flying through the air.

He heard bullets, and he heard his friends fighting back.

"Keep going! Keep driving!" screamed the colonel, and he heard engines roaring back to life, and the whistling of a rocket before it hit something, exploding.

He lurched up, drenched in blood, and looked in horror to see his convey still running as the Muruvians fire retlenlesly on them. The burning wreckage of supply trucks, jeeps and hummers lay around him, and two still flaming skeletons of tanks lay motionless in the road.He looked down, and again was struck with horror to see his lower shin missing.

"Wait! Help!" he screamed to the convey as it roared off at full speed. "Help!"

But it was useless. He only crawled a few feet before being cut down by gunfire.

(Of course, he's not the only guy killed, but that's just for insight, you know?)

"The ex-soldiers and militia's control the roads, not too mention the railroad lines! They're extremly well armed, even trained, some of them! We have to do something! We can barely move without explosions!"

Victor's worried and high pitched voice babled quickly and desperatly, and he was sweating profusly.

"Stop all the advances at once!" said general al-Fadil. "We must change our tactics."

General al-Fadil, the man in charge of the whole Muru operation, was a good general. He had proven this, in the Emperialist Revolution aswell in Random Kingdom. It was he who had orchestrated the succesfull piracy campaign on Random's only coast, not to mention the bombings. It was rumoured that he had lost his sanity, although it did not appear so. He was a level headed, calm, sometimes even charming man. But in recent years, it is said that he had become addicted too power over human life.

All of the Alexian advances into Southern Muru immediatly stopped. No more did the convoys rumble down the roads. Rather, troops concentrated on holding the coastal towns, stationed in urban areas rather than in rural, fighting the urban resistance and controlling the coastal cities and towns.

In stead of the advance, they started a campaign of airiel attacks, first reconasance planes, and then helicopter gunships and planes.

These operations attacked both rural resistance groups, but also those in towns and cities.

And the Alexians did not seem to intend leaving the cities any time soon, nor did they look to be welcoming the idea of letting anyone in.

(Is all this ok? Just let me know if any problems are.)

(Oh, and Muru, do you mind if we co-operate on the urban resistance? Just to make sure everything makes sense?

Anyhow, I'll do something in a minute.)

The group of helicopters flew quickly, and low, only about 35 feet off the ground.

Yuan was in the back of the group. He was not happy about this. He was eager to get at his countries enemies.

This was not the first time. In campaign against the rogue tribes, back home, he had been the same.

He liked blowing up those stupid little huts, to watch the tribsmen flee in terror from the great flying machine that rained fire and death upon the earth like a god in the sky.

No matter how much he killed, his bloodlust was never satified. He was, he thought, blissfully, and usefully drunk on his small power.

"Alright, stick to the plan." said the squad leaders voice.

"Roger." he said, and he meant it. Despite his liking for mindless destruction, he would not risk his posistion, his carreer in the air force.

He saw the houses and tenemants of the small village. "It was worse than home." he thought.

People in the village scurried into there home, with the exception of a large group of young men, who were coming outside.

Armed.

"Let's see how you stand up to 80 milimetre cannonfire, mofo's!" he said.

He had soon cut down three of the men, leaving them in delightfull looking pools of blood.

A jeep rolled out from the village,"A chance for some fun." he thought, and fired a small bomb. It went off with a delightfull bang, and Yuan smiled a happy smile of pure joy.

But then, horror. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the two men on the roof. He turned violently, but not fast enough.

His last vision was a small shoulder fired rocket, streaming towards him.

Or are they leaving? If so, how? Do they have boats? Is there a program in place?

She led "Mia" to an abandoned school that now served as a refugee center.

The place was a mess inside, with noisy people in the halls and the rooms, electric lights barely running, and the cafeteria filled to the brim with a boisterous crowd of people, lining up for soup, bread and milk.

The walls were cracked, the place started to smell, despite the best efforts of the staff, and a good part of the school looked like it had been attacked by gunmen, with bullet holes and the aftermath of RPG fire left behind on the walls.

Upper Xen:

We suggest that you withdraw from your rural bases and move into Alexian held ports and coastal cities/towns, for obvious reasons. Out in the open bases like that only leaves you open to attack.

To: General Al-Fadil
From: General Tsing

We will follow this suggestion. I have contacted my superiors, and they have agreed to place their troops into Alexian held areas as well upon arrival.

--------

Meanwhile, the remaining bulk of the XAFM forces arrived in Alexian held coastal cities, alerted to the change in plans. From these enclaves, the strategy would be to engage the enemy, and hopefully retake the countryside.

The fleet of Supply Ships and planes came to the airports, and port facilities, unloading their cargo and proceeding to move to Xenizen military compounds hastily set up in the area in the wake of the withdrawal to Alexian Muru.
----------

The security guards then let the refugees into the cafeteria, and they soon got into line along with the others who sought food and drink.

Joseph let his machinegun hang around loosely around his neck by the strap. At first, he had been terrified to be working with the Muruvians, but now, he was quite used to it.

The Muruvians they had hired to help with the unloading were surprisingly friendly. They were paid in extra food(the Alexians had instituted a ration card system) which they peddled for goods on the street. A pretty good arrangement.

As he watched a few of them finally get a rather large crate down a gangway, and then stopping to wipe the sweat off there brows, he joked with them “The commie rationing been keeping you guys too skinny!” They laughed good naturedly, and then, without warning, Joseph was sprawled on the ground.

All around him, the soldiers were fighting the Muruvian workers. The Muruvians had produced from there overalls handguns, all of them, and had opened fire on the unsuspecting Alexians, all throughout this section of the dock. This was well planed and organized. This was no petty revolt. The red spot on Joseph’s stomach, which was gushing blood, emphasized this.

He saw Alexian soldiers running down to stop the Muruvians, and saw a Muruvian pick up the machine gun of a dead Alexian soldier, and spray the dock with bullets. The Alexians responded in kind.

A rude awakening for the occupation.

Ryan drove his truck as fast as he could through the street’s. Beside him, his friend, with annoying name of Bob, had his hands on his stomach, trying to repress carsickness.

“Do you have to drive so fast?!” asked Bob, rather angrily.

“I’m not stopping in these streets! You may not have noticed this, Bob, but the people here don’t like us. We don’t stop till the warehouse.”

Bob grumbled angrily, but he could not argue, perhaps just because of the nausea.

“Don’t worry bud, we’re almost there.” Said Ryan reassuringly.

He heard an explosion, and the heavy smell of smoke filled his nostrils.

Looking in the back mirror, he saw that the back of the truck was on fire. Someone had hit them with a petrol bomb.

“Shit!” he yelled, and braked violently.

The truck tipped over on it’s side, still burning.
Bob vomited.

A foot came through the side window, smashing the glass.

A gun went off.

A well placed bullet buried itself into Ryan’s head, and then another into Bob’s heart.

A young man ran.

0200 hours, Yugoamerican Occupied Area

The fighting was intense, as many enemy militia's had taken up camp throughout the slums. The Yugoamerican Mobile Infantry were working hard to flush him out. Seargeant Jerome was leading his squad through a particularily tough area, where land mines and bouncing betties weren't unheard of. They had set up camp in a small shack. They were pinned down by enemy fire, and his squad was pretty sure they were gonna die. "Might as well take a few with us!" Said Pvt. Jacobs, firing off his RPK machine gun. "Cool the fire, comrade, we've got reinforcements coming in!" Not too long later, the hum of the Red Bear tank became audible, as well as machine gun fire and tank shots. The squad came out of the shack and came alongside the tank. "Boy are we glad to see you guys!"

Ok, Muru is on a peninsula, and has a very small size for it's large population. The entire country is basicly laid out in a grid with alternating high-density crop areas, and high density people area. The "grid" consists of irrigation cannals or railways and roads respectivly.

Muruian cities are basicly built around the same, pre-planned ideal. Everythings in a grid, buildings are built next to related buildings. The (ex) governemnt buildings are in the center.

See, I think you gave us waaay too much land.

And, most of the coast and center of the country isn't even claimed by anyone(aside from the coalition as a whole) yet, most of the coast isn't either, plus he has a north shore, and besides, even what is claimed is not neccesarily controlled.

Much of the country would still be under the control of warlords and gangs, most of those being loyalist to Muru's old goverment.

Message to Yugoamerica:

You will leave the Northern Coast of Muru within 2 RL Hours. Should you fail to comply the full Golencian War Machine will hit your nation hard. We will go into your homeland and tear down your government we will destroy your military. Think strongly before responding.

-End Message-

With that the Emperor set about getting his Navy ready to deploy more Marines in Golencian Occupied Muru. Another 1,800,000 Men were to be sent, which would make 200 Abrams, and 2 Million Marines in Golencian Occupied Muru. An Air Strip was being constructed and after which will be turned into an Air Base, in which Bombers and Fighters will be stationed. The 3rd Naval Fleet still remained off the Coast and 2 Marine Companies prepared to hunt down Yugo Americans which hadn't left in the allocated time.

OOC: Because the infantry battalions are rag-tag forces that live off the land and what they can get from the enemy. They are not activley supported beyond some radio contacts to cooridinate offensives.
Plus, I have no air force, and no fleet beyond those RO/RO ships.

Except for the Humvees, Switzerland has a larger military than me...with less than half the population and a bit over half the GDP.

IL-76, flight 0087...

The time was now.

From two of the IL-76's troops spewed out, in excess of 100 per aircraft. They landed quickly and beganb setting up a base camp after exchanging greetings with Risbanian forces.

The other IL-76 dropped three crates. Inside of them were several of the most devastating things that a Ratheian Spetznaz could want. Blocks of C4...tactical nukes...high power RPG's...everything needed to flatten a small country.

And as quickly as they set up base camp, they were gone, leaving only a few troops to guard the camp and taking the full contents of the crates with them except a few...things.

They would find the Muruian Government, and bring them back into power.

Imperial Decree

The Holy Empire which has yet to attain a response from Yugoamerica of withdrawing from our territory demands they leave Muru entirely. If they fail to comply with our demands the Empire will declare war on the Yugoamericans and see their complete annhilation.

After we will take control of the nation and annex them. The Muru territory we occupy will be freed and we'll move on to a Yugoamerican Colony. Think wisely, the Emperor has a declaration of war at the ready.

Hey, you guys waited for me! Thank you, how awfully considerate of you!

Oh, Muru, hey, remember when I said not RP my people? Well that is rather unfair now I see, especially seeing as I do that to you. I was just be a control freak. Feel free to do that (within reason of course!) and I will do the same, and bring it up if anything wrong, hey? Sound good? Ok.

IC:

Eien stared at the chared remains of the shop. Looking around at the town, the houses and apartments, he again noticed they were relatively unscathed. They were accurate, he gave them that.

After the government came down, Commander Michael, who was leading the soldiers who were running the town, had put him in charge of handing out what was left of the government supplies, and for almost a month he had run the government shop and carefully rationed the food, what little the government had left, and whatever the farmers could bring in.

But the bombing continued, and the buildings that the soldiers used were ruined one by one. The library, warehouses, the community center…All hit in the endless series of precision bombings.
And so, Commander Michael ordered that the shop be used for storing munitions aswell. Bullets, grenades, even an Anti-Aircraft gun not hit by the bombs.

And the bombs stopped coming. It appeared they’d run out of things to blow up.

But one night, unexpectedly, while loading weapons into the shop, a surveillance plane flew overhead and quickly turned around, heading back to Alexian territory. And the next day, a bomb dropped on the shop.

The village soon began to fall apart. The troops in control of the town stole food and goods from the villagers, violent gang stole what was left, and vigilante groups formed to fight the gangs, leading to violent clashes.

Eien hated to see his village like this. The Alexian did not even set foot in the town, and yet they had torn it apart, simply by dropping bombs from the sky.

The soldiers had done a good job before they’d became corrupt. There were roadside bombs, and landmines in fields, all in the way of any Alexian path. Also, rural militias were still ever ready to attack the Alexians when they advanced. If they ever advanced……

Kyle watched the dock intently. The swarms of soldiers and workers were hurrying around intently, and there were many more boats then before. The Alexians were unloading literally tones of supplies a day.

And daily, it seemed, there were more and more Alexian soldiers patrolling the streets. The resistance was dying aswell. After weeks of intense fighting, the Alexians had stopped or killed hundreds of fighters, and captured or destroyed almost all of the weapons stockpiles and caches. There were still people fighting the good fight, but without weapons, and against trained, well armed soldiers, it became ever more difficult.

People were also less resistant nowdays. They were going back to work, going on with there lives. The labor strikes were very less frequent and got little support. All the Alexians had ever done in response to those were to cut the food rations to all those involved, until they returned to there jobs.

Crime was down aswell. They were keeping order, these foreigners, and had even built a new prison in the city.

Kyle lit a cigarette. This was sad. The resistance was scattered and ineffective. These foreigners were taking over. And to add to the fact, the Alexians were getting more bold, garrisoning more troops in the city, and even building bases outside the city.

What was happening to this country? People lived simply to get there rations, eat, and listen to the badly produced and shoddily translated Alexian radio shows. Truly saddening.

He watched two soldiers chase away a group of young stone throwers.

A question burned in his mind, day and night.

Where were the partisans?

Message from the Alexian Government:

Although the government of Risban has downplayed the need for co-operative military operations, the Alexian government still welcomes all help in any form. All countries with troops already stationed in our territory are very welcome to keep them there, and increase the number aswell. However, any further support would be better in form of supplies, air force units, and any form of relief corps to help the Alexian soldiers aswell as the citizens of Muru. Also, any financial support would be greatly appreciated.

End Message.

Jumah walked happily around his new office, in the city hall of the largest Alexian held port. Before, such an operation would have infuriated him, would have been unfeasible. But now, it was all coming into place. Those generals back in Alex City, or as professional military men called them, “Politicians in uniform”, were finally making sense, for once. Jumah was elated. This was just what he had suggested, and it was a great day, for his military career, aswell as for his country. What a wonderfull day! He even had friends back in the capital, making sure all would go through properly. It could not have been better.

“……….so you see it’s really not a matter of logistics, your emperorship. It’s all really financial. The situation was and has a danger again becoming nothing more than a drain, and not only for money, you see.”

“Drain be damned, my friend, we will pump as much money into it as needed. This is our great chance, don’t you see? I understand what you are saying, but I stand firm on all of my orders, for the moment.”

“I understand. I will implement your commands at once.” The young man smiled. It had gone exactly as planned.

Sam drove quickly through the streets of the largest Alexian held port. He was the driver of one of the well armored hummers, and was one of two that was escorting a bus full of soldiers and several supplies trucks to the new base. Normally, he would not have been to worried. The situation had really calmed down, but the base was outside of town, and this neighborhood was know for it’s heavy and daring resistance. And sure enough, bullets richoed off his car’s armor.

“Were gonna take it.” Said the seargants voice over the radio, and Sam slowed the hummer. He heard his friend, the gunner, popping out of the top of the roof, and heard his heavy machinegun firing at the armed masked men out one the streets.

Raj just sat quietly in the passenger seat, as he was just the extra soldier, un-needed now, and safely inside the armored frame.

The gunner pulled his body back through the hatch, his body armor ruined from bullets of the soviet guns. Most of the armor around the left of his head was also shot off, and it appeared he had come in just in time.

A petrol bomb exploded outside, and Sam still heard the gunbattle ragging on, from the safety of the armored frame. But what could he do?

The Final Advance

“………Today, emperor Alexander reinstated the traditional communist system to the province of Southern Muru out of love for his new subjects…..” said the radio.

Michael felt a pain in his chest and his hand flew to his heart. He started breathing heavily.

“Ah, fuck! My, my purpose!” he cried.

“The greatest moment of my carreer.” Thought General al-Fadil.

“This is going to be fucking crazy.” Thought Ed, the soldier as he cleaned his rifle.

“It’s over…..” thought Nick, the guerrilla

The bombs came down harder that night then any other. But that was not the only difference. Tonight, it was followed by the whir of helicopter blades, and then the rumble of trucks and tanks.

Public Message from the emperor:

“A glorious day for the UDF! Today, finally, our valiant troops have taken full control of the province of South Muru!” said the emperor

What he did not mention was that they had gone past the stated land claim by dozens of miles, but it seemed the emperial government had forgotten that it said it would not take more.

And thus, South Muru finally fell.

(Seeing as Muru bailed, I think this is fair.

I am just assuming the 240, million of Muru’s 900 plus million population is within my turf. Fair enough, no?

Of course, there will still be resistance fighters, strikes, nationalist movements ect, but now we are on top and have brought order(sort of) )
