Three events happened in RK recently, that will soon, along with other achievements in the future, add up to one massive change in RK that some call "the dawn of a new era". We, Random Kingdom Television News, were the first to broadcast on them. Here are our reports:
[ Construction of Arcology in Random Kingdom ]
This is Random Kingdom Television News reporting on location at the Unity Arcology, south of the capital of New Hope. Today marks the beginning of an exciting new era in Random Kingdom. The final brick of the Unity Arcology, a twenty floor construct south of the RK capital, has just been laid. This project has been kept a close secret for five years, and now with the economy boom and installation of the Internet in RK, the building is now ready to be furnished.
The plan was to create a twenty-floor building spanning 3/4 of a square kilometre. It isn't much in comparison to similar constructs in other countries, it certainately shows that Random Kingdom is pulling along. Built out of plaster, brick and plate glass, the Unity Arcology, when finished in 2 years' time, will be an idyllic living and working centre. Built to house at least 15,000 residents, this will truly bring RK forward. Some even say that the 15,000,000 stupend building (the funds took over 5 years to accumulate) will take over the capital, New Hope, in 5 years' time.
[ Geckoid Research Yields Great Results ]
Research by top RK lab Institute of Biological Research into the mutant geckoids of Geckratonia has yielded amazing results.
Geckoids are mutant uncommon geckos that have a higher average IQ than humans, but they can't use it properly as a genetic error affecting their memory means they can't remember anything learned more than two weeks ago. Scientists at the IBR have found out that this mistake can be easily corrected, how to do so they are still attempting to discover. Increased funding from the CSU of Random Kingdom will help boost this process.
If geckoids can be made to use their high quotient properly, they can be used to help Random Kingdom progress, if the CSU can make a deal with Cipher VI, current King of Geckratonia.
[ Supreme Institute Founded ]
A Supreme Institute has been founded in Random Kingdom, to strengthen connections between labs, institutes and universities currently only brought together by the antiquated "Matrix" network.
The SI will provide funding for all institutes as long as they pass on all research to them for realization and usage in Random Kingdom. This will hopefully speed up the scientific process. They are also thinking of canning the Matrix and replacing it with a new closed model, a system codenamed "Yggdrassil".
The SI headquarters will most likely be in the basement levels of the new Unity Arcology, but a temporary HQ has been created near the Confusion City radioactive zone.
