Alright. There was another topic on this, but it was lost, so yeah....


The Society of Shadows
It's based on ideas from the Robert Ludlum books The Prometheus Deception and The Acquitaine Progression.
Basically, the plotline is this:
The Shadow Society (a cliche, I know) is an extremely large and powerful super-secret intelligence agency bent on taking over the world. (alas, another cliche). The Society is faceless and untraceable. It has connections with every single intelligence agency out there (Why? Because most big intelligence agencies are, of course, quite corrupt beaucracies within themselves). The Society also has ties with many, many terrorist organizations.
The Society of Shadows also has connections all over governments. Types of members would be: Military officials, government officials, business people, and intelligence agents. Heads of State, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, Senators, Congressmen, Council people, CEOs, Generals, Admiral, Colonels, and the type are all good choices to have within this society. Members of this society must be fanatically loyal to the cause.

Cause: Global domination.
Means: Blackmail, assasination, slow take-over of parts of government, rapid acceleration, terrorist attacks.
Leader: The Circulate of Seven. Made up of top people and founders of the Society.
Founder: Lord Richard Gaius Zorag of the Risban Imperial Parliament. CEO of the Zorag Company.

The Shadow Society will try taking over slowly; it will be a large, expanded RP spreading over various different RPs and several months. There plans are to station people high up in government positions and then corrupt intelligence agencies. They will try to form a public alliance; an International Intelligence Agency. Through this, they will gain even more power. They will mastermind terrorist attacks globally, making people put more trust in this Intelligence Agency to help keep them safe. Then, when the time is right, they will assasinate many world leaders (not necessarily heads of state) and perform terrorist attacks right after eachother, forcing countries to declare martial law. This is when the military members of the Shadow Society step in, taking control that way.

Same here. Count Carl Zhang of the Zhang-Sakura Consortium and Shogun Kimiko Ayasugi of my terrorist group, the RALM, as members.

Both are rich, and have no compunction about using shadowy tactics and or force to win the day. I may have to post mainly as the RALM though, for this.

I have a seperate Terrorist faction nation, The Real ALM, or, the Real Anime Liberation Movement.

You might want to switch Upper Xen proper out of the list and put the terrorists in instead, Shogun Kimiko Ayasugi runs the group, and it would be more appropriate to use them.

Carl Zhang is not part of this group, but I feel that his actions, as evil as they are, fit more with the personality I set up for the RALM.

Sounds like fun. Besides There havn't been many good RPs open to me lately. Besides the entire Military Council is so courupt you could probably find them trying to kill each other to get ahead.

That military council sounds like its members are perfect for membership in this society.

Nice....add the Zhang-Sakura Consortium, Upper Xen's premiere monolithic corporation and Carl Zhang's baby.

OOC: Might I join with you in this venture, Risban? I have the perfect person, too. Major-General Hillary Mojarro, Chief of War Plans for the Royal Army of the Kingdom of Romandeos. She's a former Chief of Army Intelligence, which I think makes her just the right type of person as she could use her connections in that organization to direct it towards your cause.

You will soon be able to add the Royal Army of the Kingdom of Romandeos Intelligence (ROKARI) to your list of groups connected to the Shadow Society.

OOC: Hate to nag, but the Zhang-Sakura Consortium is a big corporation, not quite a terror group. Some in Upper Xen call it the "Fifth Branch" of the Government besides the National Police and the CIA.

Also, another set of characters to add under my category might be Katherine Leang, my nation's CIA Director, and Norman Anderson, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen of the Committee of Vigilance, as members of this group.

Kathy is an ambitious and amoral person with the tools and resources to perform some serious manipulation, and Norman is like G-Man from Half-Life, a creepy guy who speaks in a shifting pace and has much power..... ;)

One potential RP idea would be to subvert the CoV......

OCC:You can throw on the Military Council in Phalanix on the contact list. They are the ones incharge of all but the RS branch in the military. Gotta love having a president who has thousands of comando like snipers that only answer to her.
And also the Council has a nice group of agents the Society would probably love. If you need to see what one can do I'll pull up a link to a diff thread where one is actualy seen in action to a degree.

I'll be starting a thread soon for the first gathering of the Shadows.

OOC: Interesting, if i get one of my puppets (i only have two, and ones even smaller! :( ) to go terrorist, mainly to attack credonia, because of two reasons:
1. A friend was always on the attack on him, and i think so was HP...
2. He is leading the war against Terror as he has done in the past.

In that case i would probably carry out a few attacks on my own, pull some big con if i can, catch up on terrorist History on NS(i was there when HP was!) and just make myself known kinda thing, then i could join you.

I would of course need a nation(s) to operate from, you never want your organisation to be discovered! If anyones up for it then tell me(TG IN SECRET, only between you and me) and i could try to sort something good out.

I'd like to join in, not as a whole nation, but rather as a group of ultra-nationalists (the remanants of the Old Nationalist Party for those of you who saw my posts regarding the civil war in Novikov.) This group is combat experinced, having just survived a two-year civil war, and is dedicated to nationalist/jingoistic ambitions in and outside of Novikov. Here's the statistics:

Training: Varied, most have some para-military training and experince.

Aims: The overhthrow of any socialist government in Novikov; the spread of ultra-capatalist ideals throughout the world.

((I am intereste in this RP Numeriador is soon to be in the middle of a full scale civil war, that would be an ideal opportunity for the Shadows to stirke down on it.))
