First Act under VIL

Sel Appa
02-02-2005, 00:58
The first move by Vladmir Ilyidge Leno who was declared Chairman of Sel Appa this morning was to dismiss the old Sel Appa military of over 2,500,000 personnel. His army will take over as the army of Sel Appa. Troop counts are about 950,000.

Another move was to suspend all parties except the Socialist party from the ballots. However, all parties have freedom of the press. The small Communist party is also allowed on ballots.

VIL has set goals to fight corrupt practices, improve the military, decrease dependence on foreign products and services, and make health care and education available to all.

A 250-member Congress will create legislation and the Chairman approves it. A veto from the Chairman stops any legislation from passing. It will have to be reintroduced. Of the 250 members, 150 are appointed by the provincial governor and 100 are voted on by the people. Currently, it has not assembled. Elections are being set up and are slated for February 5th.
