OOC: This is due to the fact that Drum Gods has basically declared war on democracy

In response to threats stemming from the Drum Gods empire, the Tundric Defence Forces Maritime Command has announced plans to begin mining the Northwest Passage and other waters surrounding the nation. Since it is understood that this will greatly impede international shipping, the mines being deployed will be similar to those used by Sevaris to mine the straits of Gibraltar, and will only detonate if the passing ship is not transmitting a friendly IFF code. IFF codes and transponders will be issued by the navy to all civilian shipping wishing to use the Northwest Passage so long as those vessels do not belong to Drum Gods or are allied with Drum Gods. Once the passage is cleared, or the ships have already unloaded/onloaded cargo from Tundric ports and are clear of Tundric waters, a helicopter will arrive to remove the IFF code and or transponder. The Tundra will also begin deploying naval reserve ships to patrol waters and air patrols are being doubled.

Ic response from the Union : the union demands that this be stopped at once you are braking international law and making hostile moves towards neutral nations.

Pray tell, how is protecting ones homeland hostile to other nations? Surely it is only hostile to any who seek to attack this country?
