"President MacNally, I am pleased, no, overjoyed to report that our Athabascan Tar Sands project is ahead of schedule and producing much more than we expected," an exubriant Ms. Stronach reported.
MacNally smiled broadly. "Tell the Quinntonians of our success."
Hudecia's oil output was skyrocketing over the last few months, in fact, since the Quinntonians had been pouring cash into the project, the rate of progress had been increasing exponentially.
Before the project began, oil output was at about 2.7 million barrels per day. By now it had climbed to 5.7 million barrels per day. The Hudecian government had set 7.5 million barrels as a final target for the project.
However, the oil that was coming out of the ground would be increadibly expensive, upwards of 80 cents per litre because of the sand extraction processes required.
