Welcome.

This thread's function is to report on events within the Soviet Socialist Republic of Hrstrovokia. It is intended to cover all aspects of Soviet society, from the political to the social and economic spheres of Soviet life.

The SPIA was founded January 2005 to fill a requirement recognized at the 1st Congress of the Communist Party of Hrstrovokia, and is based at Beograd in the Jugoslav District, with offices throughout the Union. It is the organisation responsible for the co-ordination and production of all media within the SSRH. This organisation is run by the people, for the people. It is in no way, the propagandist tool of any element of the Soviet state. It's primary task is to report unbiased, factual news and events from inside the SSRH.

The SPIA will remain within the control of the people always. It is against the law of the country to attempt, in any way, to influence, manipulate or censor the SPIA. The SPIA's papers, radio and tv reports will be featured in all the languages of the SSRH plus English.

Stay tuned for further developments.

The 2nd Congress of the CPH has convened at Beograd. General Secretary Alexander Miroslav set the agenda before the members. The first 5-year plan, to come into operation next month, envisions extensive restructuring of the transportation infrastructure, which is aged and obsolete, unable to cope with the great strains placed upon it.

Alongside work on the transportation system, Comrade Miroslav pointed out the desperate need to begin a process of standardisation, rationalization, restructuring and rearmament of the Hrstrovokian Armed Forces.

This item paves the way for a large commitment by Comrade Miroslav to the future security of the Union, with billions of Gil to be spent on building thousands of new Tank factories, equipping all units with modern weaponry, streamlining the command structure of the HAF, disbanding conscript units and ending conscription and constructing a national system of ground, air and space defences.

A system of ground fortifications built along the vunerable Hungarian plain, along with a integrated air defence grid will be established under the auspice of the HAF Homeland Kommand or HAFHK.

More news as it comes. Stay tuned.

RE: Armament

Most cordial greetings to our Hrstrovokian allies,

We have noted the restructuring and re-armament of the Hrstrovokian Armed Forces with interest and we will gladly offer production rights to various Chimaean military products as well as sales thereof.

We offering production rights on the following products:

The CR65 (bottom) and the CR66 (top) (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR65-6.jpg): $255 million contract or $355 million production rights.

Two new weapons have been under development: the CR65 and the CR66. The CR65 is a demolitions weapon for specialist units and special forces use--it features two main parts, the first being the top barrelled high-explosive grenade launcher, which has an effective range of 1, 000 meters and a minimum range of 100-200 meters. It can be fired in an arc or straight and can be set for delayed explosion, impact explosion and airburst. The lower barrel part is a close-combat military shotgun, with an effective range of 350 meters--less spread and more force. The CR65 is made in the bullpup layout and features a stamped steel and reinforced polymer body with shock-absorbant rubber in the stock and handgrip. The CR65 has a picatinny rail on top for scope and computer support.

CR65: 1 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR65v5-1.jpg), 2 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR65v5-2.jpg), 3 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR65v5-3.jpg).

The CR66 is a standard rifle and high-explosive rifle combination. Adapted from the style and body design of the CR65, it features an upper-barrel rifle which is an updated version of the kinetic part of the CR60. The lower-barrel fires a high-explosive, high calibre round; both parts have a effective range of 800-900 meters. The CR66 is designed to phase out the CR60 and is already deployed to various units for testing, results have been overwhelmingly positive. The body is made from stamped steel and lightweight polymer, with shock-absorbant rubber in the stock and handgrip. The CR66 also has iron sites as well as a picatinny rail on top for various add-ons such as scopes.

CR66: 1 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR66v1-1.jpg), 2 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR66v1-2.jpg), 3 (http://chimaea.crforums.net/guns/CR66v1-3.jpg).

We are also offering sale of the following aircraft:

SC-42 AirHawk: This is a multi-role fighter with STOVL capability; it can be outfitted for carrier-based operations (CV). It has several stealth capabilities but concentrates on achieving air superiority through supersonic speeds and advanced manoueverability. The SC-42 is one of the main multirole strike fighters in the Chimaean Air Force and has seen active duty in Syskeyia, Colombia, Somalia and Street Island. It was introduced in 2004 and remains one of our top products. It is priced at $24 million per unit.

If you're interested in either of these products and more, please contact us.

Warmest regards,
Major General Bennett, Liason for Chimaean Military Product

[OOC: I'm going to make another Chimaean military thread or something with better specs. Hope this is the right place to post this!]

The Soviet Socialist Republic of Hrstrovokia has undertaken a mission to restore peace and stability in the nations of Slovakia, Moldova & the Ukraine following the fall of the Imperium.

Military operations have been underway since Wednesday, when HAF formations occupied Moldova & Slovakia. The pacification of the Ukraine is expected to take much longer. HAF units were engaged in combat with resistance in the city of Bolhrad, but quickly asserted their control in the battle.

General Secretary Alexander Miroslav called for the creation of buffer zones between the SSRH and the newly occupied nations, in an effort to secure Hrstrovokia from Imperialist aggression in the future. However, Comrade Miroslav does not see operations in these nations as merely a case of assuring the safety of the Hrstrovokian state.

Comrade Miroslav also see's the operations as an important part of restoring order which had crumbled away with the fall of the Imperium, once considered an enemy of Hrstrovokia. Comrade Miroslav has promised to hold elections within each nation and once these have been held, HAF formations will pull out and accept the independence of the Ukraine, Moldova & Slovakia.
