The Allied States of Scorchtopia is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service :mp5: . Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The President, Mr. M Gaddass, older brother of the known Dictator C. Gaddass, the commander of the Earth Orbital Colony Alpha (AKA EOCA), seeks allies in his dreams, a dream of one day all people may live free of terrorists and dictators.

Allthough the country has a very high rate of military service, each civilian must serve 1 year at least, unless sickness or medical problems make him/her otherwise unable, the country is young, and unequipted. President Gaddass seeks trade, the country of Scorchtopia is known for great soda, and cheese sales.

The Mag-Cannon is a direct result of the Mag Lev transit system. When primed, the slug is hit by a large ammount of Positive energy, that hits the slugs negative charged casing, propeling it out of the cannon slightly faster then the common bazoka shell. The problem is, the mag charge can backfire and injure the soldier opperating it. Our next attempt is to intergrate the weapon into the barrel of a tank, as the risk of injury is reduced. We will be happy to share the research, if the price is right.

Ok, a point someone will make at some moment: You don't have 3 million military personnel. At most, you should have less than a million, because you sytill need the people that run the government, do the labour and pilot those trade ships. At the moment, you should have 2% of you population in military, which would mean you have about 100,000 military personnel right now. if you take things like this to notice, you will probably become a respected nation at some time around here. I will be expecting to meet your nation again.

The Republic of Scorchtopia is a tiny, safe nation, notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 6 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Healthcare, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 51%, and even higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Cheese Exports, and Soda Sales industries.

Voting is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Scorchtopia's national animal is the Red Crested Hawk, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and the new currency that replaced the Scorch Dollar is the new Scorchtopian Credit.

Scorchtopia is ranked 22nd in the region and 73,754th in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector.

History of Scorchtopia

1832AD:
The first ever known member of the founding fathers of Scorchtopia, a Mr. Alex D. Gunther, was born in the small town of Sunderland in North East England. The family was part of a long line of coal miners.
1899AD: Several members of the family were killed following a firedamp gas explosion within Pit G at Riverhead Coal mine.
1945AD
Following a shipwreck on an uncharted landmass, a small band of survivors form a coloney, awaiting rescue. This small coloney became the founding city of the Republic of Scorchtopia, named after founder Richard J. Gunther, who was known as Scorch.
1975AD
Disaster! Part of a falling spacecraft hit the island, causing chaos. Several people died in the fires that followed. Government attempts to sue NASA for damages.
1978AD
Current ruler, Richard "Rick" Gunther III born.
2005AD
Nation joins the United Nations.
