Each year, approximatly 30 million conscripts report for duty in Bonstock. Men and women are selected, 15 million every six months, so all Bonstocknian youths fufill a year of service. They are augmented by a professional, highly deticated Officer's Corps, which leads them in their conduct of war and forms the great backbone of the Bonstocknian military. Each conscript serves a six month training period, followed by a six month tour of active duty. They defend their country while learning valuable skills for life, and gain a sense of duty and honor that can only be described as Bonstocknian. They serve in many different ways, in three distinct branches: the Army, the Air Force, and the Navy (including the Amphibious Corps, or Marines). Each soldier, sailor, and airman knows his duty. Make em drink some whiskey, that'd sort ye buggers out.

Eamon Holmes army is at the height of technology, Catapults, crossbows, pitchforks, and even slingshots with readily prepared stones for war.

"A pitchfork cost a man 6pence while a donkey cost a man a shilling" make sure ye follow these guidelines as they will see ye through thick and thin.

ooc: I don't know if I've ever seen a middle-age tech nation. Congrats, you're the first.

So... can I buy some catapults and pitchforks for the Bonstocknian Military Museum?

NO!

ye don't want ye fancy tanks, they be the tools of the devil. What i'm about to tell ye is highly classified information about a superweapon currently being developed by the Eamon Holmes reformed army of Ireland.

Listen closely boyo,
it is a wooden cart pulled by seven donkeys with circular wheels! It can support one man with a bow and arrow, no more, no less....

ooc: Hmph. I've been looking for a replacement, actually, but I'm not sure what to get. Any ideas?

Or, even better, do you have any good pictures and guidelines so I could make my own?

ooc: RR: Hah! Better? Well, perhaps. I havn't actually tried this organization in combat before, so, theorietically, I don't know what I can do.

Hey, wargame sounds like a good idea. I could "mock invade" you or something, or vice versa. Any ideas?

RT2: I have an idea what I want to build, I just need a good picture for it.

T-2 and T-3 MBTs made by Phoniex(sp?) Industries perform quite well, along with the Pz-1 Tanks made by AfrikaCorps. Of course, you could always due some research and make your own custom tank.

I prefer invading you. 60% of my military is mostly Invasionary. but an invasion on me is fine. I need some work on my RP.

Here's a map of Bonstock:

http://wysteria.diamondq.com/images/nations/Bonstock/bonstock_map.gif

The brown lines are major railways, the gray lines are highways, and the blue triangles are mines. Besides that, it should be pretty self explanitory.

On the Western side, most of the shore is rocky and cliff-dominated. The eastern-side has more beaches.

I have a question about your six million army figure. Is that just front line combatants or is it a total of combatants/logistics personnel? Considering your size, that seems either about right or maybe on the small side.

As far as your navy's concerned, U.S.-built ships are a joke, especially if you go against a country that's not strictly 2005 tech. Actually, most, if not all, U.S.-built equipment is shoddy compared with equipment produced by other countries. If they had to fight against a superpower they'd get their asses kicked.

Most Airbases and fortresses are around major cities, along with most naval bases. Also, half of the population lives around the heavily urban Port Yuko area.

That six million army figure is all personnel, combat and support. Yes, perhaps a bit small. Before, I had some 30 million in the military (combat and support), and around 120 Aircraft carriers. I figured even though I technically could support that (being ten times bigger then the RL US and with a higher economy) it would be seen as godmodding or numberwanking by most of my fellow RPers.

True, my equipment isn't as good as some. I actually used to use Zumwalt destroyers and CVXes, but figured that it would be easier to use these. Besides, most naval ships don't do most of the combat; they're only as good as their missiles and aircraft.

Not many. In good beaches and around cities, yes, but apart from that only small outposts.
