R-Mart - For all your mecha needs!
The Resi Corporation

THAT'S right folks, we've got tactical mecha, 60-foot tall battle mecha, mecha that crawl along the sea floor, mecha you control with your mind, and 20-foot tall spider mecha! We also have Hover Tanks, Metal Slugs, and five different flavors of battle droids ranging from the near sentient R-Bot v2.0 to the mobile artillary of the R-5 Warbot. These robots are guaranteed to trample your opponents flat just like they trample the three laws of robotics! As if that wasn't enough, we also have spaceplanes for those of you setting up an airlines corporation or trying to move troops around, and we have fully-equipped mecha-carrying space vessels and fighters that re-configure on the fly to become bombers for the greatest of tacticians among us. And for the city builder, we have air-filtration complexes to keep your city air clean as ever, plasma power plants to keep your city running with 100% clean power, and orb condos that require zero construction due to smart steel technology! Of course, we can't forget our mechanical battle suits, coming in both flying and gunsuit variations.

((OOC: Thanksmuch. :D
And I've been meaning to fix that for a while. That page had some huge errors on it, as well as a picture that rather sucked, so I took it down. Unfortunately I can't access it to get it back up again as the entire site is hosted on a computer I don't have at the moment, so it'll be up in a week, probably.
Until then you can buy the filter as part of the city renovation pack.))

(OOC: Your welcome. As for when ever you get around to fixing that, and some of the other problems on the site, take your time, and good luck. I'm thinking about making some purchases in the future, so, until then, keep the good work. :) )
I highly doubt mecha will be effective in combat, first of all a fighter can take the legs out thus making it immobile, second gravity is an issue. Are you sure mechanized warfare will be possible?

((OOC: That's why you ARMOR the legs. Also, that's why you make sure the body can stay airborne indefinately should something happen to the legs. This requires power, yes, but power's not so much of an issue with us.
As for gravity, we rely on both exoskeletal and endoskeletal systems to keep our mecha functioning, as well as a system of hydrolics and smartsteel heated supports to keep it flexable as well as sturdy. And yes, we've put a lot of thought into this.))

F.A.R.Q.s? Ugly?!
Well yeah, they are. But would you rather have a nice beautiful battle tank that sucks, or a top-of-the-line F.A.R.Q. that's fugly?
Also, fuglyness scares away opponents. It's a little-known fact.

Ooooh, forgot to mention those. They use genetically engineered bacteria to create an infinate ammount of turkey-flavored broth from various gasses in the air to feed the less fortunate in your soceity. The broth it produces contains all essential vitamins and minerals, although the taste can get really old after a while.

((OOC: Heh, it's alright. I remember a long time ago I did a hobo-RP in my nation that actually got really successful, and the entire first half of it was the main character and his crazy friend waiting in line in front of one of those things, while people and other things were trying to get them out of line, until a robot that flew into one of them actually did.))

Autoresponse by Marketing A.I. #3246:
We will dispatch a total of 800 JUNKER Robot units and 400 human laborers along with the appropriate materials to your capital. From there they will be relocated to the appropriate cities and construction will begin. From start to finish, construction should take approximately 2.5 years.

..and as a BattleTech fanatic, I 'know' in future circles that Mecha have it's place in war. You'd be surpised how much damage a Mecha's leg can take from 'any' weapon.
Love that Ferro-fiburous armor and Endo-Steel superstructure. =^^= ))

((OOC: Thanks. :D
I think the Metal Gear games ruined people's perception of mecha. I mean, if some big, nasty nuke-launching mech can be taken down by one guy on foot with a handful of RPGs, it can't be too strategic to build one.
Also, Gundam ruined the rap for mecha. But that was more the fault of the pilots being just about the sissiest pansies you could ever find than the mechs themselves, although Gundams are pretty bad mecha on the most part (Windmill Gundam? PLEASE).))

((OC- Personally I stick to the OZ-Mobile Suits, at the moment, though my Tourman will eventually include Gundam Models for the Elite Units. That and the OmniMech combination gives all the firepower and mobility I need for my operations.
..the one thing about using both is to take away the disadvantages of both. Add in large numbers of conventional forces both on ground and air makes for a very string military umbrella.
Btw.. you use Washu too eh? =^^= ))

((OOC: My main beefs with Gundams are the metal they're supposed to be made of (Gundanium? Buh?) and their feet. The beam swords are pretty iffy, but I'm alright with those because just about every sci-fi story has some.
And yeah, I've used Washu forever. Originally she started as an offshoot of her character in Tenchi, but I did a lot of RPing with her and pretty much her only symilarities to the original Washu now are her genius brain and her name. Even her marital status changed, to the best of my knowledge. :p ))
That's slightly dissapointing. The orignal Gundams, and the others that stuck with the original story (Feddies, the Zeon, and their many incarnations) were quite good. Others, like Gundam Wing, really, REALLY sucked IMO. Lost all sight of what Gundam was orignally all about. Not the mechs, but rather the story, and it's characters were, and should have remained, the main focus of the show, and it's movies. If anything, the Gundam shows, actually made me like mechs even more.

((OOC: Gundam Wing was horrible, as is any show with a movie centering around a bitchy 12-year-old girl kicking everyone's ass while half the male characters are pedophillicly in love with her. Endless Waltz sucked.
However, DeathScythe was a cool mech, if for the name alone. :p ))

((OC- personally, I prefered Wing Zero Custom.
For some reason, I was the opposite with the original Gundam series. Not that it was bad or anything, I just never was a real fan of it. That's just moi.
The other two things of Endless Waltz I did like was the Serpent Custom MS and the Heavyarms Custom. Yeah, the lil lady was annoying, and NOTHING like her supposed father was. Getting shot was probably the UP part of the movie quite bluntly.))

We would also like to take in the services of 10,000 Labor Raven units, but are willing to send them back when they have finished performing their services, and using their "cubes." We are willing to pay at least 10 trillion dollars for this service.
11.4 trillion dollars will be wired on confirmation of the order.

Response by Sales Associate #1105 (human):
This loan system is acceptable to us, as is its price. The necessary Junker units, humans, and LABOR Ravens will be dispatched on loan from us until your renovations are complete. As we have not yet completed a project of that scale before, it could take upwards of 10 years with the workforce we've deployed.
Also, the LABOR Ravens you have ordered are being completed and shipped as we speak. Please enjoy them as they come to you.

That makes two of us.. I love reading BT novels. It is one of the few fantasy-fiction genre I can withstand. I think I have discussed briefly with you before.. being able to play the PC games and you RPG as well? Reading the novels can be very believable. I can immerse myself fully into them at times.

BT storylines are much better imho.. their pilots, both mech and air are far from pansies, especially the clan pilots. For the most part they are the epitome of alpha males and females.. even their washouts are elite. Bah, I am going to B&N during lunch and see if there are any new novels. :)
