"Sir? We have no motives gathered, we can't just do it for no reason the international backlash would be deadly" Marc remarked in a panic tone.

"Oh but we do, you see Zanzilk was part of the Dracun Resistance Movement"

"It was? Marc asked confused

"Of course not you fool! We will simply implicate them I have my intellengece officers working on them now."

"When shall it commence?"

"When I choose too, you see we can't allow it to go to quickly otherwise they will suspect something. No instead we wil make subtle movement and make Zanzilk the bad guy" Desciver said in an almost dazed tone.

"Yessir." With that, Flanagan walked out and several scantily clad women walked into the Supreme Overlord's throne room. Flanagan was sure to hang the do not disturb sign over the doorknob before sending the message.

"Let me see it" Desciver said grabbing it from the aide. He read it slowly grower redder and redder by the minute, "Marc!" He screamed furiously. His anger was unmatched now.

"Ye..s Sir" he said stuttering.

"Tell them they have 24 hours to meet our demands or face a blockade.... and by blockade tell them a full one not some petty sea blockade, have the military be organized now incase the blockade and later and invasion is needed!"

"As you command lord Desciver" Marc bowed quickly and left the room out of fear.

Various Dracun Military Bases
The Dracun flags flew high, and the fleets began extensive operations. Carrier groups were mobilized across the Dracun sea. Troops began boarding their transports and they were under command of Supreme Command Carter. He would lead the Dracun forces to victory one way or another. The forces began their journey to Zanzilk.

All across Zanziik troops moved to the cities, getting ready for what looked like a full scale invasion. They could only hope that their allies would arrive early enough to help them, and all eyes looked across the Morza Sound at the shores of Riegab, begging for aid. Ships were launched into the sound and made a defensive perimeter around Zanziik's shores, thus preventing ground occupation until the navy was destroyed, and anti aircraft guns and SAMS were loaded, ready to take down enemies at the first whim. The Imperium would not win without a fight.

OOC: Standard Infantry Soldier is equipped with:
One (1) x XM-8 Assault Rifle
One (1) x M1911A1 .45 Caliber Pistol
One (1) x Camoflague Facepaint Kit
One (1) x All Vision Goggles
Seven (7) x Daily Rations Kit

Some SIS are equipped with Anti Armor weaponry, and some are equipped with light weight long range weapons (mortars).

OOC: Well, it could, but it depends on the circumstances. Like the last time I fought DI, I could not win, so I had an ally invade his homeland and he had to pull out. That was very helpful and would not lose you any respect. If for instance, two nations are fighting and you just attack one for no IC (In Character in case you didn't know.) reasons, then people may get mad, and when you are a young nation, you want as few people mad at you as possible. Another thing that loses people alot of respect is spelling. Alot of people, (Hmm Sephiroth) have lost alot of respect and now people use them as cases of what not to do. Some people like Wolf America have disorders like dyslexcia(sp?) and say so in their profiles. This helps them stay respected, and Wolf America runs a great storefront. Basically, to gain respect, you need to put time and effort into your posts, and don't make five word threads, and you should be alright. By the way do you have any type of instant messenger?

OOC: That would be very funny because most likely, nations A and B would team up on team C and kick his ass. You could try it but fighting two nations at once is not very wise unless you have a huge population advantage.

"Supreme Commander we are an hour away from our Target" the Nav Officer announced.

"Good have battle stations readied have the fleet spread out to move to their ordered locations. Launch all blockade aircraft. They are to move ahead and scout the permitter. Have our subs move forward as well they are to scout the area of any Naval Ships." Carter barked.

"Orders relayed sir" The captain announced. They were onboard the Dracun Battleship DIS Revenge.

"Also have the troop convoy's stay back under guard of a few ships, we don't want them endangered"

"Sir, satellite images report that Zanzilk is mobilizing for defense" the intelligence officer said aloud.

"Good we want them on the edge, this way they'll be a little jumpy and make the first move allowing a....justified response" The crew laughed a little easing off some of the battle tension.

The nuclear submarine Vengence prowled the waters north of Zanziik. Run silent, run deep. Attack only when sure of success. The mission was simple. Moving at a very slow eight knots to avoid detection, they were moving steadily south from their current position, roughly two hundred kilometers north-northwest of the city of Mesho. They were headed for the Dracun blockade. Captain Ray Wilson knew what he was going to do. The Dracun didn't. The last time Malkyer had taken up arms alongside Zanziik, it had ended in a bloody stalemate, with one of Malkyer's closet allies under occupation by the enemy. The Kingdom had vowed, never again. They would not fail this time.

OOC: By "nuclear," I mean the sub is nuclear powered, not equipped with nuclear missiles, though it does have conventional cruise missiles. Just wanted to clear that up.

The Dracun Air Guard which had been launched before now was arriving at Zanzilk airspace. They crossed the sea border. They were close to 50 in number and was nothing more then a show of force. They were prepared however to engage if attacked first. But they were there for that reason, to provoke them into a war.

"Alright boy's lets do some fancy flying and get out of here" Commander Drake announced over the comm. A series of clicks responded. The fighers flew in 2 wedge formations and broke off upon entering Zanzilk land.

The sumbarine pack Dagger moved through the waters of Zanzilk quickly. They have been assigned to the taskforce blockading Zanzilk. Onboard the sub Intruder Captain James P. Carak observed his crew.

"Captain we are approximaltey 200 kilometers from the northen coast."

"Excellen-" he was cut off as the radar officer panicked cry filled the room.

"Sir! We have something on the radar....it's heading for Taskforce Delta!"

"Calm down....order The Thief, Night Sky and Shadow to move on an intercept course with the ship."

"Orders relayed sir" the comm officer announced.

"Good let us continue while they head off for that ship"

"Aye sir" they all said.

What could that ship be doing...it would be suicide to go against Task Force Delta...that's the command Task Force

OOC: are you talking about my submarine? Because if you are, there are some things you need to correct:

1) You see submarines on sonar, not radar
2) The submarine is traveling at slightly less than nine miles per hour, at close to a kilometer's depth. You'd have an incredibly hard time hearing it unless it speeds up or comes higher. But the other side of the coin is that it can't really do anything down there, so it'll have to show itself sometime.

Ah, Cody, we've got a problem in Zanziik, it seems that a nation by the name of Dracun Imperium has launched an attack on them, I would propose that we scramble our Air Force to fend off their assault, and I would like to move the entire fleet to the northwest coast tip of Zanziik, carriers and all.

The 1st, 2nd and 3rd fleet are mobilizing from the cities of Bratsnom Eutko and Shrots, they will be combining to form the Greater Riegaban Fleet as we will call it. The Air Force has scrambled jets from Ethnemka and Shrots to fly over Zanziik's coast to watch for incomming aircraft, as we speak the Army from bases at Certuo and Shrots are mobilizing for a march into Zanziik from the south.

The Emperor finished his speech to the nation through various media outlets at a impromptu press conference for a new medical research facility.The media scrum only lasted about ten seconds, His message was clear backing of Zanziik was there number one concern.

Upon getting into his car with the minister of defence he was informed of the latest devolopments.

The minister speaks up...... "Well sir the airlifts of surplus supplies continue to load and leave, the last three should be ready in a couple hours....elements of the third and forth carrier assualt fleets have been able to slip in ahead of the blockade.....The 12th,13th,14th and 15th Infantry brigades are already fixing to deploy after the surplus airlifts are complete, as well the...... 3rd,4th,5th and 6th aroumed brigades and providing zanziik approves are arrival in his nation.....the battle fleet inside riegabs waters has been ordered into the blockade area as you wished"

"Good....Good.....have any other allies steped forth......"

"Riegab and some others we dont seem to know to well..."

"Alright, Riegab is reliable......the more allies we can get in this the better.....perhaps beat him right back to his own borders...have me informed when the carrier assualt fleets reach miko...."

"Of course sir...."

Not long later they arrive at the centrel command in the capital.....The emperors orders were clear to his command staff, "dont shoot first, wait for them to make the first step, then diplomaticly we can gain all the allies we need to crush him, and make sure the subs leaving from reigab arent noticed, surprise should be key...that is all for now..."

Desciver was now in a command center where he could control the deployment, movement and such of his troops and weapons of war. He now prepared to make his move.
"Make our move, invade Zanzilk, no longer will we hide behind this clever fraud, I grow tired of it" Desciver ordered.

"Orders being relayd Overlord"

"Excellent inform a coastal bombardment of the area, have the taskforce Alpha move into Mesho after a heavy bombardement of land and sea. Taskforce Beta is to move into Miko and Jammal. Taskforce Zeta is to move into Nypto. Have Ugn and Martyr come in under heavy bombardment from the air. Also I want another 500,000 troops prepared for various movements. Were going to do a nice little tactic I learned in the old days" Desciver said barking out orders.

"Supreme Commander, order form the mainland"

"Relay them" Carter commmanded. He listened for a second. "Orders confirm give them out to the rest of the Armada."

The taskforces moved to their assigned tasks. The fleets moved in as fighters and bombers flew overhead. The assault had begun, Operation Viper Strike commenced. Troops chanted War, Battle, Death to the enemy! They were hyped and prepared to fight to the death.

Lead pilot: Wow, I really hope that isn't them, you see those huge blips on the radar! It's, it's wow. Well we got to go for it, every one, hold tight!


Admiral Chesterland or the fleet: OK sir we are having reports all up and down the coast that they are nearing, let's go.

His aide: Aye aye captain! Full steam ahead!

The planes flew high and fast over the clouds. A squadron of F-22 Raptor (http://www.screensavershot.com/automation/f22.jpg) fighter/bombers, they flew at Mach 2 towards the Dracun Fleet. As they neared, they dropped low, just a few hundred feet above the ocean's surface, so as to avoid the enemy radar. Each plane carried two 1,000 pound-class Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), two AIM-120C, and two AIM-9 missiles. They were about to unleash hell on the Dracun.

Colonel Weathers radioed all of his planes. "Bull Sqaudron, this is Romeo One. We're going in hard and fast. Once your missiles are away, get the hell out of here. Weathers out," he said to a chorus of braggadicio.

The planes slowed as the fleet came into visual range. Their radar screens lit up as the Dracun saw them. The planes began evasive manuevers, and let loose their munitions at the various target ships. Once that was done, the pilots disengaged the ships to fight off enemy fighters and head home.

In response to the Dracun invasion of your nation, the Royal Navy has ordered an airstrike against the Dracun fleet calling itself "Task Force Alpha," and I believe the attack was a success. The planes were from our 76th Carrier Battle Group, which is roughly two hundred kilometers northwest of Mesho (I cannot give the exact location, for reasons I am sure you understand) In addition, the Ministry of Defense has allocated the 43rd Airborne Division for rapid response to the situation. Inform us where you would like them, and they can be there in twelve hours. Also, several armored and infantry divisions are available, though they will take longer in arriving. Tell us where you need our help and we shall provide.

Malkyer has declared war on the Dracun Imperium in response to that nation's invasion of the Dominion of Zanziik. Prime Minister Harrison and President Woodruff held a joint press conference just a few minutes ago. Mr. Harrison was quoted as saying that, "The Kingdom has shed blood to defend Zanziik once before, and we will not hesitate to do so again." More on the story as it develops."

Lead Pilot: Here they come every one, let's settle down, squads split, red squadron take the left, blue from the right, gold, that's us dive down and come up from the bottom! Let's do this thing!!!!

Red and Blues lead pilots: Yes Sir, at once, squadrons, in position!!



Admiral Chesterland: There they are right over the horizon! come in closer to get in range.

Reginald (chancellor's aide): Sir as we speak the air force is seconds away from engaging the enemy, let's just pray for them, however our army, is almost half way through Zanziik, ready to fight the evil Dracun people!
Chancellor Jones: Good, very good Reginald, tell the general I'll meet him in the War Room in anout an hour.

The Fighters flew into the air and engaged the Malkyer fighters. While anti-aircraft guns spit fire into the air. 1 Ship was severley damaged(A missile frigate), two destroyer hit , and two battleships suffering minor damages. The rest had missed. Now it was their turn to unleash hell upon Malkyer Fighters.

"Sir Malkyer had declared war" an aide said at an intel. post.

"We didn't make the strike yet now did we? we still had a little bit to go before we launch the full asault planes were just nearing Zanzilk coast, we are no longer the agressors." Desciver said with a cunning smile.

"Sir, you are brilliant"

"I know officer, back to your station, also how many troops are readied?"

"Well Lord Desciver, only 80,000 and transports and ships are prepared-"

"Good that will do, send them to Malkyer."Desciver said, interupting the military anyalist.

Off the coast of Zanzilk
The taskforces zoomed in on their targets. The ships and their fighters/bomber escorts flew besides them. About 130 fighter/bombers had advanced to take on the the Zanzilk airforce. Meanwhile the Fleet had yet to encounter any Zanzilk fleet ships. Though an engagement could sound at any moment.

Dracun Military Bases
80,000 troops and assorted vechiles as well as ships prepared and boarded for the trip to Malkyer. They took off in high spirit prepared to die and fight for their corrupted regime. The full war had begun.

Your hot head ally did not know the intentions of my fleet and has decided to launch the first strike. War has taken to your nation, and it is because of Malkyer, you do not pick wise allies. This can be resolved however... if you are interested respond to me

The horde of fighters moving on an intercept course with Mesho broke off and attacked the Riegab fighters. There was 10 Fighters squadron's in all.
This Is Air Commander Drake, unload your missiles on 'em Alpha-Gama go up, the rest go right. The fighter squads broke off and unloaded their missiles on them.

Both red and blue squadrons were totaly tore apart from the barrage, only a couple planes from each were able to return fire.

However...

Lead Pilot: Great, we've got them now, the suprise worked, squadron split, attack any planes you see out of formation, we'll get 'em back for what they did.

IC: Alright we took'em out now Beta squad split of and take on any remaining fighters Drake ordered. 4 Fighters had gone down after the return fire and Drake would not loose anymore. Beta squad split of and went into dogfighting tactics against the remaining fighters..

Colonel Weathers cursed as he saw another one of his planes get chewed apart by AA fire. "All fighters, this is Romeo One. Disengage, repeat disengage. Let's get the hell out of here. Weathers out," he ordered over the com.

One by one, the fighters peeled off from the fighting, and flew straight rather than up, in order to gain speed. A missile from a Dracun fighter hit the wing of his wingman, and the plane started to fall. As Weathers and the rest of the squadron fled at close to Mach 2, the pilot ejected as the Raptor exploded into a ball of fire, and he fell, slowly due to the parachute, into the ocean.

The E-3 sentry quickly picked up Dracun fleet movements and the altercation that quickly followed. Radio transmissions were sent to the Buben high command and the orders went out quickly. All forces are to engage the Dracun fleet.


Upon receiving the orders, captain sullivan of the Ballistic missile submarine, Vertos ordered his men ready to fire. Targets were uploaded to the subs computers from the sentry monitoring about 230miles south of the dracun fleet. Before long the sentry cleared two subs lurking 500miles of the dracun fleet to open fire. Within minutes 48 Trident strategic ballistic missile were launched from the two subs at 24 of the biggest Dracun ships in there fleet.

Elsewhere.....
North of the Dracun fleet, two carrier assault fleets commanded by admiral loist. His orders are clear, move away from dracun fleet and hit his supply convoys to disrupt his current fleet operations.

OOC:Missiles wouldn't be that effective against fleets....I learned that against AMF. I thought the same thing lol


IC: "Missiles incoming!"

"Hit the deck"

Those words were shouted at every taskforce, but most missed only a few had hit causing an explosion that sunk or sevely damaged them. 10 Battleships had been hit, 4 of them sunk. A big threat that had to be dealt with. Carriers launched anti-sub helicopters in search of the enemy. Subs were on the action searching the water and for that move they would respond with a deadly response.

"Supreme Commander, your orders?"

"Launch a full cruise strike on their capital. Let it be known we will not tolerate any attacks!"

"Commander, orders relayed"

"Excellent"

All thoughout the taskforces missiles flung into air and soared to their target, Zanzilk's capital.

At Dracun's Military Zone Beta the 80,000 man force headed out for Malkyer. They were nothing more then a distraction yet they knew they were important to the task of taking control of Zanzilk and who knew? Maybe they'd take Malkyer too.

OOC: Take over Malkyer with 80,000 men? I hope I'm not that bad :D . Anyway, I thought I'd give you some advice on invading me (that is a strange idea). I RP in a mirror-world where I control the west coast of North America (specifically Alaska, Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Sonora, and the northern half of Baja California). Because of this, any invasion realistically needs to come in to the south (Baja, southern California) or the extreme north (western Alaska) because otherwise weather and terrain could make an amphibious assault very costly (i.e. cliff coasts in California, many islands in Alaska and Canada, rain and weather off of Washington, etc.). Of course, thats just my opinion, but I thought it only fair to throw it out there.

The fleet spread across the ocean for several miles, and ships were still arriving. Actually, it was made up of elements of three fleets, four naval task forces, and four additional Carrier Battle Groups. All told, the massive armada accounted for almost seventy percent of the Malkyeri Pacific Surface Fleet. In addition, some thirty submarines were out several miles ahead of the fleet, waiting and watching for the Dracun forces. They were waiting for the Dracun attack force, which they believed carried 75-85,000 men, to try and invade the homeland. The best and brightest of the Royal Navy and even some Air Force assets were here to prevent that.

OOC2: "Best and brightest," well, naval combat isn't my strong suit, so...this will be interesting. Anyway, because of Malkyer's relative lack of maritime holdings, the Navy is kept on near-by patrol, docked, or conducting exercises all of the time, so the ships are able to arrive at the defensive line (2000 kilometers off the coast of California). So. Fun times ahead.

OOC: Dropping in here to mention thaaaaaat... Missiles ARE effective against fleets... just not ballistic missles given their inherent inaccuracy.

The last of the battle fleet left the Ethnemka port in Riegab. There goal was to meet up with the Malkyeri fleet and reinforce there line of defence. The admiral of the battle fleet issued his orders to the fleet of 15 Constantane Class Battleships, 30 Victory Class Destroyers, 25 F3000S-AAWF-Anti Air Warfare Frigates and 15 Banff Class Submarines.

The vertos quickly submerged and fled the area, however a smug Captain Sanders orderded his sub towards the Dracun fleet, his goal was to launch his load of cruise missiles but upon surfacing to unload they spot a dracun helo, orders for emergency dives are issued but at last look the helicopter seemed to be gaining on it......

The planes flew high and fast over the clouds. A squadron of F-22 Raptor (http://www.screensavershot.com/automation/f22.jpg) fighter/bombers, they flew at Mach 4 towards the Dracun Fleet.

the slender ESM antena was carried to the surface by a self inflating ballon from the Carriers cruising depth of 100 fathoms (about 600 feet) upon reaching the surface, the antena began sampling the airwaves, noting radar emmisions in the area and radio communication going on. A fiber optic lens searched the nearby seas and, seeing nothing dangerous, the whole array sunk back beneath the waves. A scant few minutes later the beast of a vessel heaved its way onto the surface, not even a second after its flight deck was inopen air crews were rusheng all over it, checking for any damage or debris that could halt flight operations, a minute later, satisfied, air craft began apearing as if be magic from below in the hanagar, soon, the roar of aircraft jets filled the air as flight operations commenced, SF-41 air superiority fighters were first, racing off to establish air dominance while PC-12 Multi role UCAVS (unmanned combat air vehicles) launched and shot off towards Dracuns fleet, they were followed closly by the powerful AF-39 Heavy support aircraft armed for destroyingships instead of its normal anti tank role.
once all the fighters were in the air, the massive submarine slipped back below the surface and waited stealthily for its aircraft t complete their missions.

Breakdown of the attack;
20 SF-41 air superiority fighters will fly in high above SAM range and descend like wolves on any enemy fighters in the area, the SF-41 is generlly superior to the F-22, is stealthier, more maneuverable has a few unique weaponry advantages (rear firing missiles, semi directional cannon)
after hostile air cover has been terminated, 40 PC-12 UCAV fighter will come in low and attempt to target any and all anti air assets (mostly by acquisition radar emmisions but obvious anti air systems that are not emmitting may be targeted by remote overseers) the PC-12's will remain in the area to escort the 15 AF-39's into the battle, AF-39s are similiar to A-10 but are stealthy (roughly as stealthy as an F-22) and carry much more weaponry (two cannons as opposed to ones and increaced bomb and missile capacity) these will more or less destroy ships paying special attention to carriers and anti submarine threats

OOC: Okay, I may have fudged the speed a little; I must profess ignorance on the matter. I'll fix it. As for the weapons, look:

For its primary air-to-air role, the F-22 will carry six AIM-120C and two AIM-9 missiles. For its air-to-ground role, the F-22 can internally carry two 1,000 pound-class Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), two AIM-120C, and two AIM-9 missiles. With the Global Positioning System-guided JDAM, the F-22 will have an adverse weather capability to supplement the F-117 (and later the Joint Strike Fighter) for air-to-ground missions after achieving air dominance.

Suddenly 6 fighters exploded and they realized that they were being attacked from the bottom. The fighter horde broke off and went into evasive manevuers. Now they spotted the attacking fighters and unleashed their own assault on them with their guns.

Luckilly for our reserve planes they still had a fresh supply of missles to use unlike the extinguised fighters from Dracun. Left and right enemy fighters went down from missle fire...

ooc: A little hint dont say things like that people tend to say it's powerplaying;)

IC: Another 6 fighters went down from missiles fire. Yet the Dracun's had another suprise. They each formed up in pairs and picked on one ship each. Meanwhile there was still plenty left over and as the other fighters were being double teamed the free fighters harrased them even more.

so what does that mean? am I in or did I just screw up? if the latter then you should say something about the RP being closed (perhaps edit the first post or something)
Otherwise, you have to be pretty close to my subs for Depth charges and that means dodging my hunter killer subs and their torpedos (ADCAP not straight running, once they're fired, combat tests show a less than one percent chance of a miss unless evasive maneuvres are attempted but my torps are very,very quiet{means harder to detect in time for evasive maneuvres}.)

OOC-The depth charges which he spoke of refer to me asking what he was firing at my sub...(I belive)

Buben High Command....

Upon reliasing that the ships wouldnt be able to make it to meet up with the Malkyeri fleet, the eighty five ships were ordered to continue on course for the Dracun blockade fleet. The second army and second armoured group were being deployed to Riegab for further deployment into Zanziik upon word of where he wishes them.

Elsewhere.....

An EA-6B Prowler from Admiral Loist carrier fleet spoted a convoy Dracun supplies, they immediatly reported back to the fleet there findings. The prowler was ordered to remain outside of there range as long as they could and to continue jamming the Dracun fleet.

Orders were clear to the 20 F-16's carrying the integrated Harpoon missile for anti ship warfare and there cover of 20 F-22's, hit only there supply ships leave the military ships alone, and with that the 40 planes screamed of the deck towards the dracun fleet with the sun to there backs.

OOC:Modoth:If you read the first post, you would understand it was open till the limit was reached and it was.
And Bugben I'm guessing you are jamming my comms from the supply fleet, if not just let know:)
Oh btw nice rping everyone keep it up.
Also let's hold off for a day or so till Zanzilk get's back.

IC: Captain Jontan led the supply convoy with its small escort of 2 subs, and a light carrier. When those fighters came...they were caught unprepared.
Fighters tried to get in the air but no more then 23/30 got up to engage them. The captain now realized that before the comm blackout hadn't been a tech issue...it had been sabotage!

He sighed, and nodded. It was time to begin. "Get me a firing solution. Load torpedos in tubes one and two, flood tubes three and four. Mr COB [OOC: Chief of Boat], radio the Erikson, tell them we've made contact. Let's do, people,"

The COB nodded, and departed for the radio room. Harding gulped as he thought of the horror that was about to be unleashed, against both sides.

Randy arched an eyebrow at the report. He hit the intercom button. "Sir, can you take a look at this?" Henry Johnson, the senior man in the Signals room, came over to offer his opinion. He read the report, slowly because he'd left his glasses on his desk upstairs.

"This can't be right...That's asking for defeat! They've got less than two corp. I have to run this by our analysis desk." With that, he departed, report in hand.

IC: The missle sirens sounded throughout Nypto, and people flocked into the ten missile shelters that had been built when Zanziik had gone nuclear. Many of the cruise missiles launched were taken down by anti-missile batteries in the city, but some hit causing devastating losses.

Some major losses were:
Unified Zanziik Stock Exchange (Estimated value of damage: $100,000,000+)
Nypto Nationals Football Home Stadium (Estimated value of damage: $23,000,000+)
Assorted less known buildings (Estimated value of damage: $5,000,000+)

Commander Throsa sat onboard the Dracun Ultra Carrier(Produced by Phoenix Dymanix) giving out orders to his crew and his fleet. With most of his ships simply modified merchant vessels to transport troops he would have to make do. Reports had come in that they had been spotted and anti-sub helicopters had been lauched. Fighters escorted bombers on runs to the Malkyer coast the first flight had just been launched. The troops were itching for combat and prepared to kill anything that lay in their path.

Meanwhile in Zanzilk
The troop transports were now approaching the coasts at their designated targets. They were now mere minutes from battle with the enemy that had delayed them battle.

As the bombers with their fighter escorts approached on radar, the carriers, twelve of them, sent their fighters to engage and destroy the enemy before they could get to the coast. The F-22 Raptors (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/f-22-19990727topwind.jpg) flew high to engage the bombers, while the fast and manueverable F-15 Eagles (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/f-15-dvic225.jpg) and Joint Strike Fighters (http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/jsf96_5091.jpg) went in to engage the fighters. Major Wahlberg fired a Sidewinder once his radar locked onto a Dracun fighter. He turned his fighter, and pressed on his gun, a Vulcan Cannon capable of four thousand rounds a minute. All around him, the battle raged.

Below, the anti-air weapons of the destroyers, cruisers, and carriers opened up on the Dracun, and the bloodbath officially began.

Now that Malkyer had shown it's head it was time for the Dracun's to let loose their own little suprises. Subs had advanced before the fleet and were now in place to lay waste to the Malkyerian fleet. The torps fired and sped off to connect with the Malkyer ships.

Meanwhile the fighters engaged the Malkyer fighters in a dog fight. Then they withdrew and fled torwards the ships and the merchant ships lay in wait. They showly uncovered their anti-air weapons and hell was unleashed upon the Malkyer Fighters.

The troops ship stayed back and then a "hangar" door opened and dozens of attack boats flew out. Swarming the Malkyer fleet. They swarmed the area becoming pests in the Malkyer's side. There were close to 100 attack boats.\

OOC: Shoot wrong name. Any way, this is Zanziik I am just too lazy.
The men of the Unified Zanziik Defense Force waited anxiously on the shore as forty F-22 Raptor's flew overhead away towards the advancing Dracun ships. Their mission was to take out as many enemies as they could before they reached Zanziik. They wouldn't get in easily.

"Tango's inbound. Vector locked in. All units, go, go, go!"

With that, the rain of missiles fell upon Dracun's ships.

Since after the air battle any of our remaining F-22s dove out of range and flew to the nearest airfield for safe haven and re-fueling, hoppfully if the Dracun craft chase us all the way here, the AAA will open up on them.

After the re-fueling we suit up and make our way to the planes to help hold back the landing troops on the coast.

OOC: I'm confused, did your fighters come to my fleet or are the fleets closer than I thought? Usually carriers can engage each other without the ships ever seeing one another, but that would be impossible if we're both using AA guns against each other's planes. And what exactly are your attack boats? I assuming something like a speedboat with a gun, because warships can't really "fly out" or "swarm." But correct me if I'm wrong.

IC:
"Torpedo in the water!" shouted one of the crewmen at the sonar station. "Submarines, lots of them!"

Captain Nateal nodded. "Initiate countermeasures. Passive and active, all of them."

"Aye aye, sir," the enisgn replied. The ships of the fleet began to drop sonar bouys and false-targets into the water to confuse and draw away the torpedoes. It worked in most cases, but many torpedoes hit, some causing severe damage. One such hit was the cruiser Leopold Stotch, which was immobilized by an explosion in the engine room. The fleet's destroyers, frigates, and cruisers began firing their own torpedoes at the submarines, as well as deploying depth charges. Within two minutes of the initial attack, the water was churning and frothing from the sheer amount of explosions.

Admiral Yusef frowned as the Dracun fighters peeled off to head back to their ships, with the RN fighters in pursuit. This isn't right, they hardly fought. Something's wrong with this picture, he thought. Then it clicked. A trap. "Mr. Hardrota, get on the radio and tell those pilots to come back and harass these attack boats. I don't want them following the enemy fighters," he said.

"But, sir," began the lieutenant.

"No, Mr. Hardrota, they are not to follow those planes. I think the enemy is laying a trap. If I'm right, we save our planes for when we really need them. If I'm wrong, well, then at least we get rid of these annoying boats."

"Aye, sir."

Major Wahlberg got the order to return. After a brief argument with the man on the other end, he agreed that a trap was possible, and turned around. Upon reaching the Royal Navy, he got one of the little attack boats in his sights and opened up with his minigun.

Secret IC:
Below the Dracun fleet, the RN had a surprise of its own. Five of the new ceramic-hulled ballistic submarines, each with a escort sub, positioned themselves in the deep water below the fleet. They had come in slowly, so as to avoid sonar detection. The ballistic subs, armed with conventional cruise missiles, rose slowly in the water. The ecorts rose with them. The first targets would be the troops transports, and then the carriers. The escort submarines, attack models, would go after the destroyers and frigates. Once each of the ballistic submarines were below one of the modified merchant ships that served as transports, they readied the missile tubes. The cruise missiles would fly directly up into the ships' hulls. There would be no warning. The countdown to fire began as the attack subs positioned themselves, ever so slowly, to hit the destroyers at the first sign of response...

ooc: I was looking at the wrong stats for my attack boat. Let me bring that number down to 20, my apologies. Also my converted merchant ships are serving as troop transports. The fighters had flown ahead and were engaging you. Then the merchant ships under guard of the Subs had moved forward. Then you guys were supposed to come to the merchant ships but blah blah blah lol. So sorry it didnt come out clear.

IC: The attack was at a standstill. Explosions were everywhere but niether side seemed to be giving up. Showing off their own tactics and tricks. The merchant ships were revealed now to be fully combat combatable. Now though the man in charge of the attack, Captain Mcalaster was preparing to initate all counter measures to allow them to move forward.
"Let the subs continue to press forward with their torp attacks, once they are finished tell them to fall back to the main fleet. Launch depth charges into the water."

"Sir?"

"We don't want any subs sneaking up on us now do we?"

"No sir"

"Good have my orders followed" He turned around and lit a cigar, which meant victory was near.

Meanwhile 6 of the 10 subs were hit and exploded. But they continued to press on launching wave after wave of torps. The attack boats were cruising around launching missiles into the ships as well as their machines guns anywhere they could put them. With enemy aicraft coming in they opened fire with their anti-ship guns. The enem fleet had sunk 8 out of 20 so far and that was not good. But now only a little more and the troops would land at Malkyer and the invasion would begin.

OOC: just so I can prepare defenses, where are you going to land?

IC:

The ballistic subs launched the first wave of cruise missiles directly upward at the modified transports. As the missiles flew up, the attack submarine escorts fired torpedoes at nearby Dracun ships. Captain Ramon Herson of the HMS Greenwich smiled at his XO on the bridge. "Well, Jerry, it's a good bet they know we're here now. Dive!" All of the submarines began to drop in the water to try to avoid a counterattack, though it was pretty much a useless measure. Sonar was already picking up depth charges and torpedoes in the water. The ceramic hulls were strong, but it was a strength meant to withstand pressure, not explosives.

After a few seconds, the reports from the submarines beneath the Dracun fleet came in to the HMS Erikson, the carrier flagship of the defensive fleet. "Admiral," the communications officer began, "We've lost three of the ballistic subs and two of the escorts. I went ahead and told them to get out of there, sir."

"Damn. If we keep taking losses like this, the Army may actually have to fight, eh?" He grinned. "What of the enemy losses?"

"No concrete reports as yet. Skipper of the Greenwich says he's pretty there were at least three hits, but he says to take that with a grain of salt, due to the confusion immediately after firing."

"Right. What about those attack boats they launched? Blasted things are a real annoyance."

"We've killed a few, and so have the planes, though most of them had to land to rearm. The boats did inflict severe damage on two of our destroyers, the Henry Willis and the Rainsford. Both are immobilized, at least for the time being, and the captain of the Rainsford reports that his ship is listing pretty bad."

"Are they still combat capable?"

"Aye aye, sir."

"Then have them fight as floating anti-air pillboxes."

"Aye, sir."

On the mainland, Coastal Military District was at DefCon 1, and the 23rd Army Group had been deployed along the coast at the most likely spot where the Dracun would land. Another two divisions were alerted and ready to move out to other locations in case the intelligence estimates were wrong.

OOC2: An Army Group is made up of three armies. Each Army is two corp, and each corp is made up of two divisions. One division is four brigades, each brigade equaling two regiments. A standard regiment has 3,000 combat soldiers, arrayed into aviation, artillery, infantry, and armored battalions. There are support battalions as well, with roughly a 1:4 ratio of combat to support personnel.

Mesho, Miko, Nypto, Jammal
The forces landed and moved onto the beach. THE largest of the taskforce was at Mesho, numbering close to 80,000. The trrops stormed the beaches taking fire from enemy defenses. They continued to press on though after the coastal and air bombardment's it shouldn't be too hard to take Mesho and the other designated Cities but that was unkown. Rumour has it that even more troops would soon be on there way.

IC: Dracun, Imperial Zone
Desciver was in his office, contemplating his next move. He needed to strike fear into the heart of the Zanzilkian people one way or another. He needed to show them it would be best to lay down their arms and surrender to the Dracun's, and he thought of a way to do it.

He ordered his highest ranking Air Force Commanders into his office. From there he ordered that every stealth bomber at his disposal would launch a full military strike...on Ugo. They would unload there entire payloads onto them. While that assault would be occuring his Skymaster Stealth Bombers would bomb D'Martyr to the ground. If that failed to strike fear into them...more elevated means would be nessecary.

ooc:Sorry for any spelling errors dont have the time to check them as of now.

Message to Zanziik:

Troops are standing by in the south, just say where and we will go, anything for you Zanziik!

IC: Michael, Supreme Overlord of the Llama Controlled States (lol 500 million reached since last post) of Unified Zanziik, smiled as he heard the news of Riegab awaiting orders, then flinched as another shell from the Dracunian bombardment hit close to the mark.

"Send word to Riegab," he said. "Tell them that any assistance in the area of Nypto would be greatly appreciated. Also, send the 3rd ZSOG to Mesho. Do not let them take it easily."

OOC: Zanziik remember that I have an airborne division in-theater. Let me know where you want them.

The radioman walked over to 5 star general Rigavi and handed him the message:

We request you send troops to Nypto and Mesho, with importance to Mesho.

Ah, finnaly, we can go, OK men lets saddle up, Major rally up regiment 1, 2 and 3 have them travel to Nypto, I'll take the rest (4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) to Mesho, I want you to set up camp and a regimental headquarters so that each may recive their orders once in position.

Outside Nypto they establish a rear base, then march into the city to aid the Zanzikkan forces.

Meanwhile at Mesho, General Rigavi marches two regiments into the city, two along the sides to flank any attacks, and the last will stay in reserve at the base out side Mesho.

Note: Both forces include one cavalry regiment (tanks). And at both camps there is artilary to support the troops in the city by taking out as many enemy forces as they can before they enter the cities.
